And now here is the train man.
SPEAKER_02Hey everybody, it's Train Man again. Back with another episode. We thank you for listening to our podcast. And we welcome those who uh wants to learn who wants to learn about the Word of God in more detail. And um I'm gonna give you this episode will be called The Ascension that Jesus had was taken up after 40 days, and to be sat down on the right hand of the Almighty. He did wonderful works between the resurrection and the ascension, and then the apostle prayed ten days to get ready to receive the Holy Spirit, the Holy Ghost on Pentecost. Now, I'm going to Acts chapter one, verse one. I'm going to be going through all the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, and tie all this in from the resurrection to the ascension. And then maybe on another episode, I'll get to Pentecost, which is, by the way, ten days from the ascension. Now the ascension is on the 29th of May. 29th of May. That's a Thursday. Ten days after that is Pentecost in June. But what we're going to do is we start right after the resurrection, okay? Start with Acts chapter one, verse one. The former treatise have I made O Theophotus of all that Jesus began both to do and teach. Verse two, until the day in which he was taken up. That was forty days later. After that he through the Holy Ghost has commanded given commandments unto the apostle whom he has chosen, to whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs. Being seen of them forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God, Jesus commanded him, he after he rose from the dead, he actually stayed in their presence, teaching them, allowing them to obey the commandments, obey what he said before he was, as we call it, ascended up to be sat down. I keep saying sat down on the right hand of the Almighty. I think most of my um episodes that I did mention that uh proclaimed that yeah, he was crucified. He died. Then he rose again on that third day. Three days he had three days and three nights in the heart of the earth, and when he rose up, he was seen. Well, let's go to Matthew. Pause right there, and let's go to Matthew 28 chapter. I'm gonna start reading at the first verse. In the end of the Sabbath, which was he died Wednesday. Thursday was the Passover, the preparation day, Jews call it. Friday was just a regular day. Saturday was Sabbath. Sunday, first day of the week, as it began to dawn, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And behold, verse two, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord ascended from heaven and came and rolled the stone from the door and sat upon it. And his countenance verse three was like lightning and his raiment white as snow, and for fear of him, the keeper shake, did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, fear not ye for I know that you seek Jesus which was so crucified. He is not here. Jesus ain't here. Roll away the stone. Look inside. Wait a minute. You're right, he ain't there. For he has risen as he said. Now right now as we speak, there's an empty tomb in Jerusalem that has a gate and all the other particulars in it. And when you look in there, you don't see no no nothing buried. You probably see a rock, a big stone, heavy stone that was on the side. But when you look in it, you don't see the Lord Jesus in it. You don't see his body. You may see his uh linen and all that that was taken off off his body, but you don't see him, for he is risen, as he said. Now we can go back and check what he actually said because I'm gonna prove to you that uh Peter and John checked the um separate curve too. But anyway, come see the place where the Lord lay and go quickly, seven verse seven, quick go quickly and tell the disciple that he has risen from the dead, and behold he goeth before you into Galilee. There shall you see him, and lo I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, verse eight, with fear and great joy and did not and did run to bring disciple word. In other words, they they was they were ready to preach.
SPEAKER_04Jesus risen.
SPEAKER_02Jesus had risen from the grave. He has risen from the grave. Nine said, let's go on. Nine said, and as they went to tell the disciple, Behold, Jesus met them saying all hell. And they came and held him by the feet and worship him. Then said Jesus unto them, verse ten, be not afraid, go and tell my brethren that they go into Galilee and there shall they see me. Oh wow. So we got evidence that Jesus rose from the dead. Also we have evidence that the women saw that Jesus rose from the dead. Even even the angel came and testified that Jesus rose from the dead. Three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. He rose from the dead. Now let me continue with Acts chapter one verse four, and being assembled together with them commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father which said he you have heard of me, for John truly baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. They go to John. Let's go to John Gospel of John. Now John got virtually the same thing that Matthew had chapter twenty verse one, the first day of the week comeeth Mary Magdalene early when it was yet dark unto the sepulchre, and see that the stone taken away from the sepulchre. She ran and cometh to Simon Peter and the other disciple who Jesus loved, which is you know who I get to that in a second, and said unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they lay him. Verse three, Peter therefore went forth and the other disciple and came to the sepulchre. Verse four, so they ran both together, okay, they were running together. They were running together, they were running together. But that other disciple out ran Peter and came to came first to the sepulchre. He stooped down. He was stoop he stooping down and looking in saw the linen clothes lying, yet went he not in it. He just looked at the septic.
unknownWhat? I'm amazed. You my Lord has risen from this earth.
SPEAKER_04We gotta find him.
unknownI wonder where he went to.
SPEAKER_02Then comeeth Simon Peter following him and went into the sepulchre and seed the linen clothes lie and the napkin that was about his head not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Then went in the other that then went in also the other disciple which came first to the scepter and he saw and believed. So the other disciples said, Ah yeah.
SPEAKER_04He said we're gonna rose, rise again. That's what he was trying to whisper in our ears that crucified, we saw that. We definitely saw that he was crucified. He told us that it is finished. But when we saw this, and he's not in the sepulchre, he rose, he was risen.
SPEAKER_02For as yet they knew not the scripture that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home. Okay, they just went back home. Ah, but Mary Magdalene stood without at the sepulchre weeping, and as she wept, she stood down and looked into the sepulchre. So Peter and the other disciple left. Okay, they were left. Okay. Mary kind of stayed around, looked into the septic. Hmm, I see two angels in white sitting, the one at the head and the other at the feet where the body of my Lord was laid. That's my transfiguration of the Bible actually says, and seeing two angels in white sitting, the one on the left, the one on the head, and the one at the feet where the body of Jesus had lain, and they said unto her, they the two angels said unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She said unto them because they have taken away my Lord that I don't know I know not where they have laid him. fourteen says and when she had thus said she turned herself back, she turned around and then and saw Jesus standing and knew not that it was Jesus. So she saw the two angels and then when she turned she saw Jesus but didn't know him. The woman um didn't know him. Jesus said unto her woman, why thou weepest? Whom seeketh thou? She supposing him to be the gardener. Mary Magdalene seeing that Jesus was a gardener and and she knew from the very beginning that Jesus had cast devils out of Mary Magdalene and here she is looking at her. Here she is looking at him and saying, Oh, you must be a gardener. I mean it's as we said that see to uh she supposing him to be the gardener said unto him Sir, didn't even recognize him from the get go. If thou have bored him, hence tell me where thou hast led him and I will take him away. Jesus said unto her Mary. She turned. Well I guess what happened was when she turned herself back, she saw Jesus standing there, but she didn't know Jesus. And then when she spoke the uh what she had to say, she turned back, okay, into the sceptica. Or turn it away. Let's turn away and then see Jesus right there. And then when Jesus said Mary, she turned herself and said unto him, Libona, which is to say, Master Jesus seventeen, Jesus said unto her, touch me not, for I have not ascended to my father, but go to and but go to my brethren and say to them, I ascended unto my father and your father, and to my God and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciple that she had seen the Lord and that he spoke to and he spoke these things unto her. Now let's go to Mark. Okay. We we kind of got the idea that okay, Jesus risen. He risen from the dead, and the first people was there at the sepulchre was the women, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary. And we have established that through the word. Now, let's go to Mark 16. Let's start with verse 9. Now, when Jesus was risen early, that first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene. See? Out of whom he had cast seven devils out. Okay, devil demons. Okay. Verse 10. And she went and told them that had been with him as As they mourn and weep. Verse eleven and they when they heard that he was alive and have been seen of her, believe not. Unbelievers. Now I don't get people, okay, when you said Jesus had risen from oh colour. When Jesus had risen from the dead early first day of the week, I believe that. I know he's gonna come to minister to us, but these disciples was was it it were just it was just to a point where uh they didn't believe. They were like, oh man, you sure about that? Jesus rolled. It was after the resurrection. It was when when earthbreak earthquake came, rolled a uh the uh angels rolled away the stone. Peter and the other disciple looked right in there and said, Jesus. One of them said it. The other disciple who ge who who who went fastly past Peter, he believed. How come Peter didn't believe? See, I mean they they they think they they think that they I don't know what they think back then but I know one thing when this scripture said when Jesus when Jesus Jesus rose the first day of the week and appeared to Mary Magdalene, this is Mark sixteen and nine, whom uh out of whom he cast seven devils first ten say and she went and told them that have been with him as they mourn and weep, they cry and boohoo my Lord is gone, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead oh Lord, what happened? They crucified him, he's dead, he's dead, he's dead. And verse eleven, they they when they had heard that he was alive, writing on this down here, and have been seen of her or by her, they believe not, believe not. No, I don't believe it, I don't believe it. No, uh uh uh I don't believe that. Okay, all right, let's go. Let's let's go to Luke. Let's go to Luke. We're gonna go to the twenty-fourth chapter, start reading at the thirteenth verse, and behold, two of them, okay, went the same day to a village in Ameas, Ameus, which was from Jerusalem, Jerusalem about oh three score furlongs, and day fourteen, they talked together of all these things which had happened. And it came to pass that while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself draw near and went with them. You know, the two was walking, I guess from Jerusalem to Edomus. And Jesus kind of followed him and drew followed him and uh kind of listening to their conversation. Sixteen said, But their eyes were behold that they should not know them. Know him, brother. And he said unto them, What manner of communication are these that ye have one to another as ye walk and are sad? And one of them whose name was Cleopus answered and said unto him, Art thou a stranger in Jerusalem that has not known these things which are come to pass there in these days? And he said unto them What things? What kind of things? And they said unto him, concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty indeed and word before God and all the people, and how the chief priest and our rulers deliver him to be condemned to death and have crucified him. Luke tells a better detail on what actually did happen. And here's Jesus saying he is thinking, okay, all right. We I'm checking you guys out. You're getting getting some sort of a story about uh me. But I'm I'm gonna continue listening to you. But we trusted that it was the twenty one, we trusted that it had been he which should have been redeemed Israel, and beside all this today is the third day since these things were done. Yet and and certain women also of our company made us astonish which were early at the scepter. And when they found and see, they said these men, these two men, check it out, these two men uh walked from Jerusalem to one village talking about these things happening in Jerusalem. Looking at looking at this. And said I was at home house on twenty two. Yeah, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre. And when the twenty three and when they found not the body they came saying that they have also seen a vision of angel which said that he was alive. Now get that in your mind. And certain of them which were with us went to the Septuagint and found it even so as the women had said, but him they saw not. I mean here here Jesus listening to this. He's the one that was risen, risen from the dead. He came out of the tomb, the scepter, and started walking around. Um he told Mary Magdalene to, I want you to go tell my disciple. Mark said, I want you to go tell my disciple and Peter that I have risen. I will meet them in Galilee. And here's these two guys saying that the women are all of our company. We know we we we are tight company. We're we're a protective company. Gonna tell us that he's risen. What is going on with these women? What are we going on? They saying he's risen, and and all of a sudden uh most of the disciples said, I don't believe him. But they failed to realize that Jesus told them that he would rise again.
