So should the husband love his wife as himself. And now here is the trained man.
SPEAKER_02I got a few minutes here. Ephesians 5 22 said, Wives, submit yourself unto your husband as unto the Lord. 23 said, For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, and he is the Savior of the body. You know, we take communion, he's the body and the blood. 24 says, Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wife be to their own husband in everything. Now, subject in terms of what the Bible said is submitting. So let's say, submit the wife should submit yourself. And then the the verse before that, submitting yourself one to another in the fear of God. So if you want to have knowledge of God, submit to one another. Now, let's move on to 25. Husband, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it. Christ gave his life, shed his blood on the cross, so that you and I can be saved, so that we can come to Christ ask for forgiveness and repent of our sins. And not only repent of our sins, to allow God to bless us along the way. That 26, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the word. What word? Word of God. You baptize when that the Holy Spirit and anointing falls upon you, and when you get baptized, then God will raise you up and give you that rightful place as a child of God. That he may sanctify you, you know, set apart be holy. And the word holy is in here too. 27 tells that he might present it to himself. So the church he cleansed it and sanctified through the washing of the water by the word. Then he's gonna present him the church him to himself as a glorious church, not having spot nor wrinkle or any such thing, but it should be the church, it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wife as their own. If a man love his wife as he loves his own body, then the wife will appreciate, oh, you love me. I don't mind loving you back. Because it it it it tells me that you really love me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I love you as Christ loved the church and gave his life for me to be saved, for my wife to be saved, for my children to be saved, to everyone around me to be saved, and to sanctify me. Don't don't forget Christ wants you to be holy before Him, cleansed by the washing of the Word. When we understand Christ, we understand God's word. When we understand loving our wives as we love our bodies, we understand Christ. Now 29 said, well, let's go to twenty eight. Twenty eight. So all men to love their wives as their own body, he that loveth his wife love. For no man ever hate his own flesh, but nourish and cherish it, even as the Lord the church. Sometimes, you know, I needed a haircut. You know, and I don't feel right with long hair too much. I don't really feel right being bald, like most men are. But I care about my opinions. I go to work, I I want to look up. And by cutting my hair to a point where there's a little bit of hair, but to a point where my hair has um is very controllable, brush it, and I go with it. That's what God is saying to me. I don't know about anybody else. I won't I won't be presented, I want to go before the Lord being holy, without blemish, without spots or wrinkles, because I and then by having my wife do my hair, I mean, I set it all up and she came in, cut my hair, dum, dum, dun. I said, okay, I like that. Get this over here on my right side, make it smooth on my left side, and then when she looked at it, and when I look at it, hey, your hair looked good. I appreciate that. You you did a good job. That's loving your wife. That appreciating your wife as a barber, as a woman of God taking care of his her man, and like I like um it says in 28, so are men to love their wife as their own body. He that loveth his his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourish, washing, you know, clean your body up, and cherish it. Cher is you know, you gotta cherish your body, you gotta look good for for the wife, even as the Lord the church. For we are members of his body. We are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones. Thirty one said, For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined, or the word that we s we keep hearing, cleave unto his wife, and the two shall be one flesh. They all are on one flesh, they all together, man and their wives should be one flesh. A man ought to love his wife in so much as she is himself, as Christ loved the church, love his own body, the church. Now, the apostle does not hint that Christ is the husband. Most women love saying Jesus is my husband. Jesus is my husband. He ain't he hinted at that. Christ is not the husband. He loves the church, but he is not the husband of the church. He is the shepherd, overseer. He's the one, as the Bible said, is the head of the church. I don't see the word husband there. Back in 23 said, for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church and the savior of the body. How do you get how you how do you get husband out of that? Christ is not the husband. He didn't hinder that Christ was the husband. Only thing that uh Apostle Paul said that Christ was the head of the church. And he gave his life a ransom for the church so that the church can be purified, holy before him, and he can present the church to himself without spots or ring or blemish. This is a 32. This is a mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless, let every one of you, particularly, so love his wife even as himself. You love your wife, you're gonna end up loving yourself. And the wife's gonna love you because you're taking care of her. Now, all these boyfriends and girlfriends, they're not married. They don't follow what the word of God said. He said a husband and a wife. It did not say boyfriend, girlfriend. It did not say a partner together. It did not say none of that. He said a husband, as my wife said, a legal husband and a legal wife together. He said, for this cause shall the man leave his father and mother and cleave or shall be joined unto his wife. And they too shall be one flesh. They will come together. And nevertheless, 33, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself and the wife sees that she reverence her husband, that she don't worship him. I'm gonna say, I'm gonna go out of the limb with this. She feared God. And she fearing God, she God put place the love in her to love the husband. And both of them will fear God together. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So when the wife has wisdom to love her husband, so do the man has wisdom to love the wife. Both of them got wisdom. Both of them got understanding. Both of them want to understand one another in terms of loving one another, being involved with one another, nourishing one another, giving thanks to God, giving God the glory, giving him the praise, and not getting involved with divorces. Ephesians 6 and 1, let's continue. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. If both of them and the Lord, like I say, this is a mystery, but I'm speaking concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless, let every every one of you particularly so love his wife. He's speaking to the man, so love his wife, even as himself. And the wife sees that she's reverence her husband, reverence to me, meaning to love, to submit, to be joined together, that the two become one in Christ, in the Lord. Children, whether they be stepchildren, whether it be uh natural children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor thy father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Now, when the parents, mother and father, let's say let's say mother and father, when the mother and father allow to love one another, the children see that. They ain't, as my wife said, they ain't dumb. They see that love coming out. They see that love that uh they generate between the husband and the wife, and they won't pretty much imitate their love towards one another, towards Christ. Okay? Now when that love towards one another uh in Christ penetrate in their children, then you'll find that the children are gonna be upright, they're gonna respect the woman or any woman that's coming in and uh saying, Hey, I appreciate uh you loving me. Where'd you get your learning, your teaching from a mom and dad? Even even if the daddy or the mother is a stepmother, that stepparent has to love that child. And with the love of a parent towards whether it's a biological child or whether it's a stepchild, that parent has to give discipline. I'm gonna say discipline, and that child in respect of being disciplined towards the m towards the mother and towards the the stepdaddy or the uh biological daddy, that child has to do be respectful. Three said that it may be well with thee and thou mayest live long on the earth. Speaking of children, speaking of the natural children and the s as well as the stepchildren. And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up unto and bring them up in the nurture and the amorition of the Lord. You you you got to bring them up to nurture them, you gotta discipline them, you got to give them an understanding. I want you to achieve like my mom, uh me and my mom had a talk before I came to Atlanta. I'll give you this. And I was all messed up. I'd be honest with you, I was all messed up. I didn't know what to do. I was in St. Louis, I worked at a beer place in Hike a bush at the beer tester. I would just sit there and didn't know what to do in my own house with my mom. My mom came upstairs, you got a second son? Yes, ma. Now, granted my mom uh was was a widow at the time my father passed uh years ago. She sat down and she gave me sound doctrine about not really staying in this situation with her at home. So she talked to me and I listened, came to the conclusion I need to leave. So like I said, I started looking for schools to allow me to get out of Saint St. Louis, and I took my mom's advice, and all of a sudden I left knowing that I I'm leaving mom, but I'm finding a better way to live my life. And it's it's challenging, but it was rewarding. It was rewarding. But anyway, number four says, You father, provoke not your children to wrap, but bring them up in the nurture and admiration of the Lord. Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters. Now, master intent is uh supervisors, the management. When they start getting rules like uh SOPs, standard operation uh procedures, and when you follow that standard operation procedure, you have to uh follow it to a T or else you know you get discipline. But you should obey them that it rule over you according to the flesh, with fear and trembling in the singleness of your heart as unto Christ. So Christ is looking at the supervisors and the management and the companies, and they s and Christ is seeing what they uh the supervisor are doing. Are you treating my servant right? Are you doing what is necessary for them or that the servants to achieve what they need to achieve to promote your business up? And so it's it's it's the idea that God is watching, God's looking at them. God is here for you, for all of us. And everybody think that, oh no, you know, God, God shouldn't be in this. God is everywhere. If if you have the Holy Spirit, God is in you. If God created heaven and earth, God is around us. As Christ said, you and I, and he and you, and God and us, we are all in God. We are all a part of Christ. And whether we are, as we say, sinner or saint, uh mother and father, management, uh, employee, president, vice president, God is seeing us. And we'll always see us. You can't get rid of God because God created the heaven and earth. That's one thing that uh people don't understand. They can't get it rid of God. Anyway, I want to end this one. This one's about allowing the husband to love the wife as he loves himself. And I'll say this, I think thank you for listening to the podcast.
