The trainman is discussing about who is in charge. This discussion came from a conversation at the workplace concerning two co-workers. And now here is the train man.
SPEAKER_02So I'm gonna talk about uh work and blend it in with the word of God. Okay? So what transpired to allow me to get this message out is someone one of my co-workers and he was cons he was talking to another co-worker. Now this stems on who's in charge, and being that um we have rules and regulation, uh standard operations, procedures that establish who's in charge, and to go and follow them as well as follow following the training that we have for our coworkers, especially for the rookies that there they need to be trained on the system, and so they are the uh future technicians and managers, and but they need to know the system. They need like I'll always tell them you need to know this system when you need to know how to operate and maintain the people mover underneath the Atlanta airport. And so that brought uh a question in my mind saying, who's the boss? Who's in charge? And so when my co-workers were telling another co-workers, you listen to this man over here. But see this man over here, who is another co-worker, he's getting his information, his orders, as you say, from me. And I'm getting my orders from my supervisor, and my supervisor is telling me what to say and what to do because he reads the problem reports, he reads what's going on on the system, and so we know what's in the shop, we know how that we need to fix these trains, and also we need to operate and maintain uh the system. So this coworker said, Hey, don't listen to anybody else but this man over here. But see, this co-worker over here that he pointed to is listening to me or listening to my supervisor. Supervisor tell me the what's going on and I'll uh give orders or assignments, as you call it, but I had to correct him. No, uh uh. You don't say that to another coworker to listen to him. He may give me orders to tell the other co-worker who is, you know, in charge at the moment, I'm the one that receives the information from the supervisor to give to him. And he may say, Well, I want you to do this and that and thus and so. But where is that order coming from? From me, where are my orders coming from? For my supervisor management. So it's you're gonna stop a coworker, even though that's actually what he's saying, don't listen to me. Listen to him. But he don't know as much as I know in the shop. You get my drift? He don't know as much as I know in the shop. So what we have here, we have standard operation procedure that we read, and we tell the coworkers you got to follow the SOP, which is standard operation procedure, which is in turn is the Bible of the system. The earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof the world and they that dwell in it. So who you who are you listening to? What authority or is given to you so that you you can actually say I'm under God. I'm listening to his um word, I'm listening to his explanation through his spirit. So I'm teaching the um the word of God through my job. You got to go through the the right uh sequence. God first, then Christ, then man, then woman. At my job, it's manager, supervisors, lead techs, co-workers. That's pretty much the order. If if the manager said, I want this done, this done, this done, so the supervisor had to relay that message to the co-worker, to the to the lead tech. Then lead tech go and tell the co-workers, well we need to do this, this, this, like they said. The system actually dictates what we say and what we do. There's no heart of understanding this uh concept because the fact that uh Psalms 24, I just read 24 and 1, the earth is the Lord, the fullness thereof. So the system God created the system. God created the heavens earth. God wants you to understand that hey, he's in charge. Who's in charge? God's in charge of the world, heaven and earth. That's why he gave his only son to the people. Whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. That's why the city wants up the city of Atlanta wants this system to run smoothly, efficiently. Why? Because of the fact that they move they want us to move people, passengers, customers, co the workers that works in the airport on the train system efficiently and with no problem. Now that co-worker, I had to tell that co-worker, hey, mm mm, don't listen to him. Not right now. He's not he's just a coworker. Listen to either me or my supervisor. Cause if you listen to me, I will tell you what's going on. Because the supervisor and central and management would tell me I want this done, I want that done. You have to hear what's going on in the uh upper upper management and the supervisor. They read the problem report, they read and understand what's going on on the system. And then essential is a uh an entity of itself because it sees and operates the system. These trains that goes underneath the airport goes from the baggage claim over the elf, and we got two um turnbacks that turn that actually reverse the train to go out into the system again. They go to the ends, they reverse themselves, and they come back and out go out to the concourses, and then once the people get off the train from either F or Baggage and all the rest of the station in between, the train goes into a point where if turn back allow the train to reverse. And maybe all the other stuff in the bag on both ends. But the train reverses and returns back to the stations, picking up passengers, whether it's from uh baggage carrier, ticketing, A, B, C, D, E, and F, let them off at L, head on down to uh uh another turn back, the East End turn back, and that's it. And reverse it and go back the other way. Now that's the system. And if we have any problems on the system, we have to guess what? Recover. We have to recover the system and make sure these trains run efficiently with no problems. And that's how God He wants the world to run efficiently and without problems. So who's in charge? Who's in charge of this situation? Who's in charge of the world? Who's in charge of the system? God is in charge of the world. Man has his little system that he has to run any business. There's a head honch that comes out and he tells his uh managers, I want this done, I want that done, I want this done, I want that done. And then the managers go down to their uh quote unquote lead techs, or in in this case, uh lead tech, engineers, field service engineers, field service specialists we got, and tell them, and then once they tell them, they go down and tell the co-workers. Now the coworkers may do other stuff, but in general, you coming it's coming down the line. What needs to be done right here. Some people say, well, I ain't listening to no manager, I ain't listening to no supervisor, I'm doing whatever I want to do. You're not you're going, you're not you're not only going against the manager, what manager is saying or what supervisor is saying, you're going against the standard operation procedure or the Bible uh the system. Now the the Lord created heaven and earth. Things that have not seen, we we don't know what things gonna be happening around because the fact that God is in control. I mean we summer is summer. It's almost over. But we had 90 degrees weather here. Wait a minute. I thought uh we supposed to be cooling down by now. God is not thinking about Labor Day. Man made Labor Day, man created uh something for people to uh be off on that Monday, which is Labor Day, and relax and uh from work and all this stuff. And so Labor Day is Labor Day. Man uh takes off on Labor Day. God created heaven and earth. The earth is still turning, the sun is going around the earth, we have rain, we have storm and we got heat. Summer is still here until the earth begins to pass below the equator. Now once the earth passed below the equator, then we into autumn. Everybody says it's fall, but in actuality it's autumn too. Autumn and fall are the same words saying the same thing. We got football games happening in autumn and uh near the end of uh baseball season, and so God created, like I said, God created heaven and earth. John 4 and 34 says, My meat is due the will of him that sent me and finished the work. When Jesus came on this earth, he finished the work, he brought deliverance to the earth, to mankind, man and war man. He did that. He created heaven and earth, he was part of creation. God created heaven and earth. But God's word, which is his son, he said, This is my beloved son who I am well pleased, hearing him. He created heaven and earth. Jesus is the word. When the word begins to become flesh and dwell among us, God wants us to hear him. So it's similar if you think about it, of the SOPs that we have, the Bible of the system. If you do what is right according to the SOPs, according to the Word of God, you'll be safe. That's why we have safety standards at our workplace. You do this, you're fine. If you don't do this, if you disregard what managers and and and supervisor have been saying and and in SOPs, then you'll get, I say, burnt. You definitely will get burnt. But if you do this, you'll be fine. Uh I'm going back to Psalms uh twenty four and let's re let's read part of that. Verse one says the earth is the Lord, the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein, for he has founded it upon seas and establishes upon floods. Who shall ascend into the hills of the Lord or who shall stand in the holy place? He that has clean hands and a pure heart who has not lifted up his soul into vanity, nor sworn deceitfully, he shall receive the blessing from the Lord and righteousness from God, from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him that seek thy face, O Jacob. And so God wants his people to know him because he's creator. And co-workers, the workers that start out job, first thing we tell 'em, you need to know the SOPs, the standard operation, procedure, or the Bible of the system. You need to know that in order for you to understand what we're doing here. See the city, if you think about it, the city runs the whole thing. The city of Atlanta runs the whole thing. They the one that built it. They the one that acts for the trains from our main company, Austrom. They sent the trains, the cars down to put together the trains to run on the system. Then we begin to write the SOPs. We begin to understand what the system is all about. And the system is based on SOPs by what we see and what we know in terms of safety. God wants you to be safe. God don't want you to be hinned up. Let's go to Psalms one nineteen verse nine. Says his wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his ways. Who's the boss? Who is the boss? Who is the boss? Who's the boss? God's the boss. Who's the boss of the system in Atlanta? The city of Atlanta. I want these trains running good. I want these trains to run. So SOPs begin to develop through the company. And through the company we abide by. It's like the word of God. Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his ways by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Obey God's law. Obey his commandment, and you will be successful. Read on verse ten. With my whole heart I have I sought thee. Oh let me not wander from thy commandments. God wants you to obey him for one thing. But yet and still, God wants you to keep his word. Like I'm studying and keeping the SOPs at work. You got to know them back and forth. If you want to get this job, if you want this job to be successful in your life, you have to read and study SOP. If you want God to be successful in your life, read and understand the word of God. The word of God is very, very powerful. Like a two-edged sword. So that's my message for you. Who's the boss? God is the boss of the universe. He's created heaven and earth. He created earth because he wanted man to live on earth. But man has to establish himself as a witness for God. He can create all kinds of buildings and cars and what have you. But God, through the Spirit, allowed man to create all these things. But anyway, I hope you enjoyed this message. Who's the boss? And we know who's the boss is. God bless you.
