The PodBoffins have one final look at the Mum's Bum Cup and the player odds market movers, before the tour. Each team and individual is covered before Timmy Rawmeatakiss drops by with his take on the King Browns.

SPEAKER_04

Holly, holly, holly, hold on, just like slaves, three money.

SPEAKER_00

Remember Happy Gilmore? Well, he's making news on the golf course again. And not the good kind. He was apparently driving a golf cart while intoxicated last week and struck another cart. Gilmore was arrested and charged with vandalism and driving under the influence.

SPEAKER_04

Well, let's just hope there's none of that happening on Friday in Adelaide as we are at the PAT golf course, that is, and we have a drinks cart on Course Friday.

SPEAKER_02

Jeez, I hope they're selling coffee, mate, because it's not looking good. I can see the storm clouds on the horizon.

SPEAKER_04

No, it isn't looking great, but you never know. A little bit of wind, a little bit of this. We've still got a week to go, so hopefully that weather breaks up a bit, but it's looking particularly wet in Adelaide the first four days of next week. We don't get there till the fourth day, so hopefully it's all dry from there. Oh, it won't matter to the boys, they'll be out there. Hopefully they won't be doing any happy Gilmores in their carts. I'm pretty sure there'll be plenty of uh drinks consumed, shall we say. That's what part of the tour's about. The first day pressure. It could be uh wet tracker, mutter mutter. Yeah, you know who that means.

SPEAKER_03

It can only mean one man's coming in on the bet tank, surely. Musting key mat. Him and Diva Diva the two noted mud runners in the field, so uh this could be shaping up as a a complete and utter debacle as far as everyone's training is concerned.

SPEAKER_05

Uh yeah, most of the guys that have been training for dry weather and nice dry track, but uh could get wet, could get cold, could get miserable out there. So I would say rag up, boys, and uh be patient and enjoy your time because uh it could be a wet, wet day. Well, it might be and it might not be.

SPEAKER_04

We're not gonna get negative on that at all. Today we are going to rip through things really quickly as we will for the next few pods, uh, and then we're all gonna be boarding the plane. I've got to get packed, we've got to get everything ready, uh, and I'm sure you boys are all doing the same out there. We're gonna have a look at the bookies moves right now. This is uh there's been some massive moves overnight, and yesterday we saw Hendo's Hole. Uh that information released, along with markets uh for both individuals and teams. So looking very good out there. Anything catch your eye with that, Laurie? I really like the team markets actually for Hendo's Hole. Uh, and I believe there's a little bit of a surprise that's going to be happening along with that that uh you'll see on the day. Not a big surprise, but it'll something just add to it, no doubt. Uh I love the shooters at three bucks. They've got ten players, you know, ten golfers. They're gonna be very hard to beat in that one. Just sheer weight of numbers, pure mathematics is what I'm going off there.

SPEAKER_02

I don't mind the cattle dogs, mate, they look pretty good too. And the the Crocs at $4.50. They have nine players there too, mate. That's that's Over's. And I know Mikaby McKenna in particular is very enthusiastic about this one.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, so he should be. And the other one, of course, uh the King Browns, they'll be there. They've got plenty of blokes who can hit a ball 113 near the pin. I mean, Frogman Grant would have to like his chances. And uh, a lot of odds that are double figures for individuals, you take it on. Plus, all the uh profits, if there are any profits, they go to the charity and to turn back into the tour 50-50 or something like that, very close to. Uh as you know, we uh we'll be thinking of our mate Hendo and we'll be looking at doing something charity-wise down the line, uh, and he will be with us every tour. So uh it's all been received extremely well, and and that makes me happy.

SPEAKER_02

If that makes you happy, it makes me happy.

SPEAKER_03

Me too. I think everyone likes the idea that it should be good fun.

SPEAKER_01

Mums bum cup market movers.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, fellas, we've been in correspondence with the tour bookies, and I'll tell you what, they are reporting a massive amount of movement the last few days. Boys are starting to have a real look at the form. Think about who they're going to have a little bit of a wager on, taking into account the conditions, the handicaps, and the market movers. And uh we've got a big market mover straight up today, Laurie. Oh yeah, we've got a new outright favourite. All the money early was for Trendsetter Todd, and they came from everywhere to back him. They thought he was well over, and he is now right into about ten to one, I believe. Let's have a look at the market board right now, and yes, Trendsetter is in to ten dollars from twenty-fives. So uh he is a uh not a great result, I'd imagine, for the books. But our new favourite is Sideshow Sam, the Wranglers skipper. Uh and that makes sense. He's finished runner up twice in the last four years, and he's a four dollars opening. He's into three dollars. I think he got out to about four fifty. Oh, that was enough to get the books some movement on the board, and uh they've come for Sideshow Sam.

SPEAKER_02

That's a pretty good bet, I think. He should be thereabouts off that handicap of 49. Uh he's gonna have to lead the Wranglers because there's no other bastard there to play golf, really.

SPEAKER_05

Now that's not right. There's a few others there that can play. Robbo's pocket rocket can pluck something out of his back kick at any given time. He's steady at nine bucks, so they're gonna leave him alone. Carnival, he's steady at five dollars. I don't like that. They think it's a little bit unders, I'd imagine, the market. Uh and then we've got over the page, Golddigger Gaverby, well, twenty five dollars. sixties. Uh not given any real hope out there. Highway will. He has also been back. Sandy, was it your cash that you plonked on him?

SPEAKER_04

I mean it wasn't me nowhere in the world. Highway will. Uh he's a bad result for the books, apparently. The worst result. So there is some meal flying around that he could do something. He's off sixty, so if he does do something, the book is a dead set pre and he does nothing. That's the whisper that came through to me this morning that uh somebody had had a fair whack at him, so that's nice to see. Well, they've got water tank Matt too off twelve bucks. Uh he's steady. No, no real money for him off the 43. Bit of an unknown quantity after missing last year's tour. Next to Wynne Nate, he's drifted $7 out to $8, and it makes sense. He's most likely not going to be there if we're going to be realists. But the Wranglers are still uh crossing all fingers, toes, and each other at any any possible time to get in there. Smitty Winnie's out to 40 off his first year 15. Uh that's not a good sign, and he's drifted from 15 out to $17, so they're not counting on him doing anything either. The Wranglers looking at that board, Sideshow Sam is there, one and only real hope, and they need to get one or two into that cut, that top 16, to make sure that they tie up that THC Premiership. It's uh never run and done, especially with so many points on offer over that final weekend. MBC King Browns. Carrying on with our Mums Bum Cup Bookies update, and the King Browns, they have the second outright favourite, I believe, uh, in Frogman Grant, $4.50. So our opening market favourite was Strength and Johnner, but he has drifted, and we'll cover him when we get to the Crocs. But at this stage, Frogman Grant at $4.50, he's in from $5 off a handicap of $21. Uh everyone knows he can hit the ball a fair fair bit in uh fair way in saying that. Uh he is definitely a major threat. He's leading that King Brown charge. But as we look at the other King Brown, saving private, uh, nines into eights, so there's been a little dribble of money for him off a handicap of thirty. He can win it off that, there's no doubt about that. Uh Manscaper Nads, he's 20, he's drifted right out to 25s and off his handicap of 20 after winning last year off 41. Uh most pundits believe he will be there drinking and enjoying Ambrose come Sunday.

SPEAKER_05

At that may be true, but uh he he will be wearing the yellow green jacket up until he has to give it to somebody. Maybe not with the same fervour that uh Tango Tom did, but Nadsey would be a very proud man just the same, and he will be getting a Mum's Bum Cup Champions Cap on Sunday morning. Only uh 18 of them in existence in the entire world. So Mustard Keem Matt, he's the interesting one now. He's drifted out to twelve dollars from tens that I can see. But he is a mudder. We know that. We know he handles the conditions. We have been very lucky in the beat the ball over the years. There's not many wet days that we've had to play golf on, but when we have, Mustard has been right at the forefront. Former champion. 37 handicap in the the wet. I don't mind that at all. I expect there'd be a nibble for him before uh we get to Tor Time T off.

SPEAKER_04

Metro Matt, he's in the eights in the sevens uh of 41. He was in the top eight or nine last year. He could have very nearly won it, to be honest. Uh he was going very well on that Sunday and then just sort of fell away the last half dozen holes or so, but he is definitely a major threat at that. Trendsetter Todd, that's the one we spoke about earlier. Tack of money for him. He's off the handicap of 50 uh and paying $10 in from that $25 opening quote. Uh he is one that you've got to keep an eye on. Now there's no nothing to say in the past history of form that Trendsetter Todd can win this, but yeah, you never know. He might have been up to a little bit of sneaky mischief up there in the Newcastle region, uh, getting lots of time in on the range and also on the course. So he is definitely one to follow. As we head over to have a look at General Buckley's, do you think he's a chance at all, Ben?

SPEAKER_05

Uh I do. Uh I think we all know he can play, but he likes to play uh away from the golf course. He plays on the golf course and plays away. It all depends on just how large his weekend goes and how many golf clubs he's seeing in his hands uh the following morning from each of those nuts. $8 into 7, so there's been a tinkle saying that he can and will win the Mums Bum Cup. We'll see if that firms in any further as we get closer.

SPEAKER_04

Tank Rider Jace, he is another big hope. He was in the final eight last year, final four, I believe, on that Sunday. He's got a couple of strokes back out to 40 or a stroke back out to 46, but he's drifted out to seven, so maybe he hasn't been getting in the reps that's needed uh out there in the central west in downtown Dubbo. Uh and he has had a bit of a rough year health wise, but I I believe everything's okay and going well right now. But so maybe that. But there is one saying, do you know what that is, Sandy? Oh yeah, it's an old saying when it comes to golf. Beware the wounded golfer. That's right. Uh quite often they just focus on the shot at hand, get through it, shot at hand, get through it. Uh so he will definitely not be written off at that $7 mark. I wouldn't. Uh do it at your own peril. Yeah, but then we've got airwind Geordie down the bottom, he's off 15. Uh, he opened a 20, he's into tens. My god, somebody just might as well give me the money, might as well burn it for me in front of me. Uh I don't know, I can't see Geordie winning. Apparently he has uh some special headgear he's had made just for the Mums Bum Cup. Um we're all looking forward to his fashion show out there on the first tee on the Friday morning of the tour.

SPEAKER_01

Mums Bum Cup, Market Movers, Crocs. Snap snap.

SPEAKER_04

We might as well have a look at the Crocs now. Uh saying that Strength and Johnna has drifted from three dollars uh out to five dollars, so he's nearly doubled his opening quote. Uh is there a problem with his game, do you think, boys? Anyone hearing any rumours or whispers?

SPEAKER_02

No, mate, I have not heard anything from Strength and Johnna, which is really unlike him because he likes to speak a lot. As we know, he's probably on holidays in the Maldives or something like that.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, there is some breaking news in a whisper that he's gone over to Adelaide a day early, actually. No doubt out at the golf courses and taking all his measurements and and uh he'd have some caddies hide for five or six schooners who'd be going around the course with him, and he's desperate to win this. I don't care what anyone says. You can see it in his eyes, the big fella. He wants a bad, real bad. So uh strength and Johnner, threes out to fives. I think he was just too short, to be honest.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know, mate, he seems tall enough to me. I have to look up at him.

SPEAKER_04

You have to look up at everyone, Mario. I think you're right, but I think the opening quote was too short, especially in a 45-horse race. Uh you're not going to be plonking on a $3 favourite, are you? He's he's gonna be a chance. Top four finishes, the last four starts. Uh he is on inform. I have no doubt he's been on the practice range most of the week. Uh he may well be over in Adelaide looking at those courses next Wednesday. I bet I hope he's rugged up and wearing uh his raincoat because uh the weather, as we said, not looking great that first few days of next week in particular. Uh, but he will be leading the charge, and they've got quite a good contingent. Mickey B. McKenna, the skipper, he's 15's out of 20s, off a handicap of 24. He's still reeling from his win in Sydney in Beat the Ball 14. It'll be uh a couple of years yet, you'd imagine, before he's back out to a place where you'd like to back him. Roger that Diva is the one that has been all the talk in the corridors of uh the Beat the Ball. He's been practicing playing three times a week, four times a week. He's been putting his results up and uh he's been scoring 42, 44, 46 stable for points. He's very firm at $6, so he may well be keeping his powder dry. He's off a handicap of 30, which is more than when he won in beat the ball eight. Uh so he is definitely uh second prong in that Crocs attack.

SPEAKER_03

He is, uh he is definitely one who's keeping quite I'd say he's keeping his powder today. He's not getting on himself yet. He's gonna slam those bookies lit as soon as they open the market in Adelaide. You have right up until uh first T on day one to get your bets on. So I would say he's hoping to maybe drift a little before he goes bang, cop that.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, well, getting over to Josh will be next. Uh he's a handicap of 60, he's 30s, he's remained on 30 to 1, and I believe that's probably half of what he should be. He probably should be 60 to 1, he should get a a dollar on his odds for every point he's got on his handicap. Uh so there there's no real uh movement for him anywhere. Uh and the King Browns will be gunning to make sure he doesn't perform up there after what happened out of Dubbo a couple of weekends ago. Stifler, he's the quiet one. He actually moved to Adelaide. He went over there early. The Crocs sent him over and said, Look, we need some reconnaissance, we need some intel. Why don't you move there, Johnaby? And the stiff one said, Absolutely, happy to do it. And he went over to Adelaide, he had a baby while he's there, not him, but his partner, a lovely baby, and they're over there settling into it. And I've got no doubt that Johnaby, probably in Morse Code, has been sending back some details of the golf courses and what to expect in Adelaide to the Crocs. So uh that may help them on the course. Yeah, then you've got Big Win Neil, he's off 48, 15 bucks, 15 bucks. He hasn't had a plonk on himself, obviously, yet. May well be keeping his powder dry too, because off 48, he's gonna be a shot. I I'm tipping in to make the cut. Uh after seeing uh some footage of him over the last couple of weeks, he seems to be uh getting over that back injury after he had that uh camel hump removed uh and uh the croc is looking good.

SPEAKER_05

So he is he the third prong of the attack? I think not. I think the next one probably is. Uh Win Danielson, 48, $7 out to $9. He's been keeping very quiet. He can play, and that handicap's too big. Simple as that. Uh will there be any money for him? Well, we don't know. He has had twins this year, and uh I tell you he has been running around like a headless chook looking after the family. I'm not sure too. He loves to party hardy. Does Win Danielson and and carrying that into the golf on the Sunday in particular can be quite troublesome.

SPEAKER_04

Well, and that brings us back to Erica Beer Rives. He's arrived alright for the Crocs, been up there all year, 45, handicapped, 25s into 20s. So uh there has been a nibble at odds for Erica Beer Rives. Maybe he's been getting in some practice. He did post some photos on the chat group yesterday, I believe.

SPEAKER_05

That he did. He was at the driving range and he had a lovely cold Skinner in front of him, and by all reports he was sitting there just watching everyone else hit on the range. Nobody's really taught him or told him just how to use a golf driving range. So I believe he tried to get his bus in there and and uh get that in the driving range. He thought it was a bit of practice for the old uh you know, four-wheeler, eight-wheeler bus he drives, whatever it is, and uh they said no you can't, and they said this is a golf driving range, and uh Eric will be said, well it just so happens I have my clubs under the bus. So uh he bought them out, plonk them down, bought himself six Gunners and and watched everyone else hit balls.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, so there's the Crocs. Big two chances, strength and johnna is number one, Roger that diva number two, Nickabee Rising is in there as well, of course. Let's not forget him, handicap of 60, uh 20 bucks flat, no money for him at all. Uh Lori, do you think he can win? Oh, he he looked good a few years ago. He actually made the cut once or twice, but uh his last couple of years have been below par pardon the pun. And I don't think Nickabee will be there. I think he'll be one of the best Ambrose players on Sunday. How's that for a tip? We'll take it.

SPEAKER_01

Mum's Bum Cup, Market Movers, Shooters.

SPEAKER_04

Pew Pew Oh, he's just taking the piss now, voiceover guy. What sort of pew pew was that? Ah, that's stunning. Pew pew That's right, a little bit of energy. Getting into your voiceover dude, Vince, whatever your name is. Uh I don't know that it is his name. We did come up with a name for him at one point, but I'm not sure that was his real name. But anyway, voiceover dude.

SPEAKER_01

You can call me Walter. Say my name. Okay, Walter.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe Heisenberg, I like the sound of that.

SPEAKER_01

So do I. Heisenberg it is.

SPEAKER_05

Ah, I'm so happy we got that out of the way.

SPEAKER_04

Well, looking at the market movers for the shooters, Laurie, there are plenty of guys in the market here, aren't there? Yeah, we're looking very strong. We've got a huge contingent, all our players will be there on the ground, and the biggest mover of all has been the rookie. Here early Harry. Twenties into tens, he's halved his opening quote. He's only off 15 first year, and I'll tell you what, maybe he's kept something secret from the M MBC handicappers. You know, I don't know that we've had money for this for a guy off this handicap for a long while. It is rare that we get a rookie off that handicap off those odds who are given such a strong chance. Like the money's been coming pretty steadily for him from the start. Who knows? Maybe Benzebear has produced something, a little bit of magic there as skipper of those shooters. Through come later on steam, they've kept this under wraps the entire season, and they're about to unleash a little bit of Harry Hell on the rest of the field.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it would be a delicious storyline, wouldn't it? They've kept this quiet all season as a diversionary tactic. Major Mortar and Josh and DeSargent have said we're gonna take the focus rate off the young lad in his first season up and we're gonna raid a push bake, an e-bake, whatever sort of bake it is to Adelaide. We're purposely going to draw attention away from him.

SPEAKER_02

Well, a little bit like Wayne Bennett, mate, when he does his press conferences and makes it all about him, so they don't look at his players. I don't know why they're not all ugly. They just mastered him.

SPEAKER_04

Well, it could be the case in ore, but he will be leading the charge. There's no doubt about that. The money trail is saying here early Harry is one of their main hopes. Now Grunton Growen's got to be uh up there, you know, seven dollars. He's rock solid at that seven dollar mark off a handicap of nineteen. He is now getting out to a place, him and Frogman Grant, where you can back them, and you should be seriously thinking about backing them. He has been in cahoots with the skipper, Benza Bear, who was in that final four last year and who uh is really another massive chance this season. Seven bucks into five bucks. So Benz has had uh some money come for him, and I wouldn't be surprised if that comes into fours or threes by the time we actually jump. So that's three straight up that they've got. Here early Harry, Grunton Growing, and Benza Bear. Three major threats. Throw in Ronnie. Now, we don't know what Ronnie's been doing for the past seven years. He could have been wandering around, you know, just finding himself uh in all sorts of places, finding himself uh not at all. I don't know what he's doing. Maybe he never found himself, maybe never lost himself. I don't know. But Ronnie of 34, I do know. Remember the last time he was on tour, and in the early years of the tour, he could play a bit, Ronnie, and he's he's a sneaky. So I'd give him 50-50, but the money's saying he's still at 20 bucks. So you'd think you'd be jumping on at that price if he was going to play well off 34 and there's been no money at all. Cambo, forget it, you're not gonna be there. Cambo pays not to make the cut, not to make the top 16. So don't even forget about him. Uh, we should probably write a disclaimer from the bookies every year. If anyone bets on Cambo, you're an absolute jock strap. That's all I can say. Because uh Cambo's not winning. He won't let himself win. He'll run dead, he'll do whatever it takes. Waxstar Jimmy, 34, handicapped. 15s, Laurie, chance. He's had a pretty good season all round. I know Wokstar Jimmy doesn't mind his golf. Uh he was there last year in the cut, I believe. I don't have the thing in front of me right now, but uh, yeah, I wouldn't be disclaiming him off that. So you've got your top three up there. I'd probably put Waxtar Jimmy maybe one step below, but there's four chances we'd say. Well, you've got to throw in copy that condo. You got to. He has been playing the house down for two years now. Uh the wheels fell off a little in that background last year. Uh he's off 22 this year, so you could probably put him in the same bucket as Roger, that diva. Uh, and they don't mind being in the same bucket, I don't think those two.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, and then you've also got yeah, Flogman Grant, all those guys grunting growing around that 1920-21 mark. He's off 22 condor, six dollars out to seven bucks. So he hasn't had a plonck yet on himself either. I think there's a lot of powder being kept dry. This market will change right up, I'm thinking, right at the start.

SPEAKER_05

Major mortar's in there, 48, he's eight bucks out to nine bucks. Makes sense, doesn't it? Yeah, bloody rat it does. The guy's walking to Adelaide, he's now up, huh? He'd probably end up getting there with one club and a ball or something like that. Hit it off the tee, lose it, and that's it. Turn around, go back to the clubhouse.

SPEAKER_04

Well, something like that could happen. Josh and the Sargent, 33, he's at twelve as well. Put him in the same boat, do you? Oh, you gotta put him in the same boat with Major Mortar. They're pretty much stuck together, iced together. Um, they're gonna be in Adelaide and it's gonna be pouring down rain, they're gonna be drenched. I wouldn't be surprised if they caught a cold off each other again. And uh I you can't where one goes, the other goes now. They're sort of like a Batman and Robin, aren't they, as far as those shooters are concerned? Uh but no, can't give those two any real chance, I don't think. I'd be leaving them alone. And that uh we come back to the start with here early, Harry. Very strong, the shooters. They will be a big, big chance at taking this out. And Hendo's Hole on the Sunday, I believe there's been some money for them for one of the shooters to finish with the nearest the pin. And there's also been some money already for Grunt and Growing and Sideshow Sam uh for Hendo's Hole. So uh the boys are getting on, uh and that should be a wonderful little event too, within it, as we've spoken about often the last 24 hours.

SPEAKER_01

Mums bum cup market movers cattle dogs.

SPEAKER_02

Woof, woof! That sucks with the big ones, Walter. It's not a woof woof. Libba's been trying to change it to get the grrrr Have you got a fur ball stuck in your throat, Mario? I don't know my well, I've done something to my tonsils, I think.

SPEAKER_05

I thought we were calling the voice over fuckwit Heisenberg from now on. Oh, you've not seen Breaking Bad, obviously, they're one and the same. Walter White is Heisenberg.

SPEAKER_04

Ah. Well that's changed my life. Looking at the cattle dogs, boys, that there doesn't seem to be much happening around the cattle dogs this season. They've been very, very quiet down there in the kennel down in cattle dog country. Uh not hearing boo out of them. Maybe they have been planning an assault on the Mum's Bum Cup, uh, which is going to catch everyone off guard as well. Mario, do you know anything about that?

SPEAKER_02

I know the boys have been together and Leber has them all singing off the same hymn sheet, mate, every day for hours and hours. You know, beautiful voices, but it takes a lot out of you. Gideon stuff, he is a big hop for us. He's seven dollars out to eight dollars, but he's off a handicap of twenty five. He is the Beatle Six winner. He won in Melbourne, which is a very similar to Adelaide in that it gets cold, mate. And you know, you're going to play on the conditions that are a little bit heavy underfoot, so he could be a Big danger, especially off the handicap now.

SPEAKER_04

Well, he did win the Mum's Mum Cup uh off around that same mark. So yeah, uh, it's hard to get a gauge on him. Nobody's uh set eyes on him from within the beat the ball walls this season playing golf, so not sure. Leber is definitely uh a big chance. Captain Cattle Dog himself. He's out to 35, he won in beat the ball four. Fifteen's into twelve. So there you go. I rest my case. They have come for him already, and I would say that might tumble in another couple of points by the time we get to that first tee. Hey, there's two decent chances there, you know.

SPEAKER_05

Uh looking at it, I don't see there's just been no talk of the cattle dog. They've been about as popular as a vegan at a butcher's convention. A stripper at the Blaine Society.

SPEAKER_04

Pimple's on prom night.

SPEAKER_02

I'll just back off, boys. It's they've just been quiet, the cattle dogs a little bit this year.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I'm with Mario. Uh, just because they've been quiet doesn't mean they've been inactive. Let's put it that way. Tango Tom, he's off a handicap of 22. 15's rock solid. No way he's winning. He's still reeling from the winning two years ago. He's handicapped getting back out, and he's gonna blow harder than a granny with a hundred candles on a birthday cake.

SPEAKER_02

Baldroom Ben is a big chance, but he went well last year. He made the cart, and he's been playing a lot of golf, and I think he is a big chance for the Cattle Dogs.

SPEAKER_04

I agree with you entirely, Mario. I got to see some of that round, and he is a much better player than the handicap he is off. 37, he's got at least one back, if not two, from last year's tens in the nines. Uh I would expect him to come in a little bit more before we jump. Caesius Paul, another big question mark. Throw him in the same bathtub as Girias, a Roman bathtub at that. Togulus. Really? A booing him to me? Off 15, though, he is a big chance. $15, that is, Caesius Paul. Uh, he's rock solid off a handicap of 20. Uh, they've kept him very tight, I've got to say, the bookies on this one and the handicappers. Uh he's I don't know if twenty is enough. That's probably what I'm getting at. Yeah, I thought he might be out to twenty-two, twenty-four by now. He can play, there's no doubt about it. But uh that's put him in the same bracket. He's given a shot to Frogman Grant. That's gonna be tough. He's uh only getting one off Grunt and Grown, and they're uh right up the top of the handicap board. Uh and here early Harry's got to give him five, so that puts him in with a show, but uh probably a 50-50 chance. Uh Dukes Row Daniel Dukesy, he's off 15, 15's into 12, so there is some support for him there. Maybe he's been getting in a bit of play.

SPEAKER_02

Two Roddy has mate, he is our younger blood coming through. The younger Lebar, Lebba, Little Lebba, and he's going to be going very well for us. I think he is a chance, a good chance. I don't know about Devastating Dave though. He's off 14, you know, he's still he didn't come last year because he couldn't get there, and couldn't find a bicycle, and he's off $15 rock solid on that, I think you say, is that the way you say it?

SPEAKER_04

Yep, that's right. If they haven't moved their rock solid, they haven't gone in or out. Uh devastating Dave, yeah, he's the same boat as Tango Tom, waiting for the handicap to get out. Crazy 80s dude, uh, throw him in there too. Three men row on that boat. Uh 21, he's off, 12 solid. Uh, I would expect those two to get out as well. Devastating Dave, crazy 80s dude. Uh the handicaps are just going to be too short, I think, for them to pose any real major threat to winning the Mums Mum Cup. They could make the cut.

SPEAKER_02

What about Ontrend Wiz, mate? Oh, he's an angry man. I love him. He gives us a little bit of fight and fire, and I expect him to go very strongly indeed.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, $8. That's not a bad value for Ontram Wiz. Uh he's been thereabouts a couple of times over the last three or four years. A yellow jacket. We've spoken about that. He's top 39 now, so he's gone out at least two shots on last year, if not three. And uh I think eight dollars is great value. I'd love to back him a place to uh make the top sixteen.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, so would Craig's he mate. In fact, he is refusing to bear until there is a place market. He wants some real value on somebody. He would prefer a dollar four to a dollar ten, somewhere in that bracket.

SPEAKER_04

I don't think the bookies are going to be setting a place market anytime soon. Uh you never know though. They've opened up these markets this year on the Hendo's hole, uh, which will be fun each year and a great way to make some money for the tour. Remember, any profits, boys, from any of these. Firstly, remember, gamble responsibly. Have you got a gambling problem, Lori? Yeah, too right, I do. I can't find enough bloody winners. Yeah, yeah. Oh, that's not too bad, actually. I don't mean that I've got the same problem as you. Well, gamble responsibly, folks. But all the profits, if there are any profits, and there's only been one year we've lost, let's be honest, go back into the Sunday night beers, and then they go back into the tour, and of course, to our charity. So, boys, whilst we're doing all this, don't be afraid to uh throw a tenner, a fiver, a twenty, or even get up to a pineapple on something or someone to do well in the Mum's Bum Cup or Hendo's hole, uh, because you get the money back eventually anyway. Uh so nothing leaves the tour as such, uh and except for our charity, which I I think everyone agrees is a very good thing. That just about wraps up Market Movers.

SPEAKER_05

You got any takeaways from this, Ben? Uh not really. I don't really give a shit to be totally honest. I just want to get to Adelaide and uh hopefully it doesn't do too much with my hair or my I've had to uh leave the solarium alone, so I might have to get someone to paint me before we get in there. I still want to be looking good on camera in the base, the bone, the ivory, the off-white.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I I I I'm gonna jump in with my five cents if that's okay, Ron. Uh yeah, but I think the bookies want a minimum five dollars on any of these bits. Not on them, on on this. I think it's just shooter, shooter, get that into you, get that up here, the shooters, we're coming to get you. Alright, thank you for that. Uh what about you? You're looking very pleased with yourself down the end there, Sandy.

SPEAKER_03

Uh you know, THC Premiership, the Wranglers. I'm just thinking about how Nasa tore it's gonna be uh Mum's Bum Cup. Yeah, we don't have as many chances as the others, but if we can get a couple into the top sixteen, I think we'll be more than happy with the way the season's gone overall.

SPEAKER_02

The cattle dogs are still a chance, mate, don't you write us off. If we come home strong in the golf, we're sitting there with the cra crocs, the snapsnappers and the woofwoofers, and we're ready to come and get the Wranglers, so don't go canning your chickens before they have eggs, okay?

SPEAKER_03

I'll be certain not to do that, Mario.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, that winds that up. I think yep, I can see him through the glass right now. We have Timmy Romitakis out there uh headbutting what it looks like to be a pylon. But anyway, we'll be back with him in a second.

SPEAKER_05

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.

SPEAKER_04

Joining us now is Timmy Romitakis, who has been out to King Brown Town, and uh you've got a few scratches and marks on you there, cuts too.

SPEAKER_03

What's going on, Timmy? Uh we were coming into Chopper Land into King's Brown Town the other day, and uh uh Bruce wasn't real happy, he didn't want to go in there, and so he just jammed his heel onto my hands as I was hanging on to the chopper, and uh I've had to release a and go into a tuck roll on the ground before coming to a standstill or a stop still or I was in the fetal position to be totally honest. Uh a little bit of trouble with the ribs and a few cuts and bruises.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my goodness, mate, you're a hard man. How how far did you have to fall to do that?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, it was a good two metres, and uh I tell ya, it was a big thump. Uh there's not a lot of grass out in round King Brown Town. I don't know if you've been out there for a while, boys. It's a shadow of its former self, if it ever had any former glory, that is.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I've been there many times. Too long, too far, and for not a lot, to be totally honest. So I'm so I'm feeling you, Timmy.

SPEAKER_03

Hands off the merchandise, eh? I'm fine. I'm good, no worries at all. Alright, so what did you find out there? How are the King Browns going? Well it's a bloody town in divide. I can tell you that right now. You've got the haves and the have nots, the bees and the the bee won'ts, or whatever the fuck I am trying to say here. I think I'm still a little concussed. Saving private, he's up one end, and they seem to be in the more salubrious part of town, shall we say, and he's sitting up there in his ivory tower, well it's not really made of ivory, it's not even made of wood, because all their wood goes into wooden spoons, as we know. Uh he's just sitting up there in a nice tin shack, shall we say. He's the skipper, and and with him bunkered down around him, uh a little bit like Hunger Games, how they've all got their own houses. Uh King Browntown is starting to resemble that a little bit. And uh we've got Mustard Keen Matt, who's his lieutenant and best player. Let's be honest, he's been his best player for a bloody long time. Mustard is in a little nice little shack next to his. Uh just around the corner from him, of course, would be Manscaper Nads, who's in the fourth shack these days. He used to be in the third shack. They're all numbered, and and there's a hierarchy. They get smaller. Uh, in third spot these days, Tank Rider Jace. He's there and he's got a a nice bit of room to move in his. The fourth one, Manscaper Mads, uh, the whole setup's a little bit tightened. Uh Frogman Grant, he's getting a bit closer. They've actually given him a like a little dog kennel. Uh not to be just to remind him how much they hate the fucking cattle dogs for starters. Uh, but they hate everyone, so don't take that personally, Mario.

SPEAKER_02

I know they don't like many people, the King Browns. They like themselves a lot, but people depear. Yeah, yeah, I don't mind that. They do.

SPEAKER_03

Well, it doesn't matter about ego, you've got to have a bit of ego and arrogance to be any good. Yeah, but they're not. Uh fair call. I won't dismiss or d dispute that at this stage, Laurie. Uh so that's where the major players are, and then you get down further, you get get into town and you get to the saloon, and uh General Buckley's, that's where he lives. Uh literally there, he sleeps on the tables, the bar, uh whatever. He gets hit by the swinging doors occasionally in and out. But he likes to ply his magic tricks trade down there, pack of cards, you know. He's always singing, always got a girl under each arm, and uh just enjoying the high life, uh, which isn't really that high in King Brown Town. Uh, they've never really seen the heights, uh, but they're still hopeful one day that it may happen.

SPEAKER_04

Oh right, so that's them, but so they must be down the other end of town. What what's happened? It's not good to have a schism. And I like saying that word. Say it with me somewhat.

SPEAKER_03

Schism. Eh, schism. Oh, I went out with a lady and she gave me one of the best schisms I've ever had.

SPEAKER_04

I don't think it means that at all, Sandy. Well, maybe. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

We're not going there.

SPEAKER_04

Uh so down the other end you've got Metro Matt, obviously, number sixty-seven he's living in.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, and then you have what 107 Airwind Geordie. Well, they won't even let Geordie into Bloody Town at the moment yet. He's part of the King Browns, but he's been uh he he loves fashion and he's been working on garments and sewing things up and getting things ready. He wants to look good on tour, and I believe he's going to unveil. He's very good at doing race day hats and and fascinators and all that sort of stuff. He loves that. And apparently he's got a fascinator he shall be preparing to unveil on day one of the tour, which really isn't a King Bound town up the other end, you know, the salubrious section. Uh so it'll be interesting to see what he unveils, Geordie. He is quite a character, big personality, uh, can't tip for shit, punt for shit. I don't even think he can play golf for shit, but I'll tell you what, he will add a little bit of colour to the tour, no doubt in the same vein as General Buckley's. Uh so those two are down there, and then Transcetter Todd, he's down there too. He's living in number 79, and uh he's been desperately trying to get up the other end of town, but the skipper, captain, mayor, whatever you want to call him, sheriff, uh Saving Prophet won't have a bar of it. Not yet. You're not until he wins something.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but he won the punter of the year only a couple of years ago.

SPEAKER_03

Yep, that was impressive. But if you go over his resume, say for the last ten years, uh that's the only win he's ever had. One bet. That's it. Complete futo. Compl I can't even say my words.

SPEAKER_04

I think you are a fair bit uh concussion. I've just lost my voice, my back teeth. I think I'll just swallow my teeth. Oh yeah, there they are. I'll get them out later, don't worry. I'll see him again. I'll just have to give him a bit of a wipe, that's all. Alright, so uh the King Browns, do you think uh with THC Premiership You're fucking joking, aren't you?

SPEAKER_03

These guys. My goodness, I'll be lucky to beat the shooters and avoid the spoon. When it went behind closed doors, though, neck and neck. I mean we've had a fair few points go in yet from the Tattoo trophy thing, and and now we've got the Mums Bum Cup weekend. They're not gonna they're not winning Jack shit this year. Not as a group. They haven't been able to fire as a group, and uh the skipper, he'll be looking to fix that, you would imagine, next draft. Oh, we all saw what he did at the draft a few years ago. Yeah, Divistit and Dave still thinking his lucky stars he ended up in the Cattle Dogs. They may have won a couple of premierships by you now. He's up, he's up here. I'm gonna go into bat a little bit for him. Yes, thank you. Uh you can't get them all right. I seem to remember you were one of the greatest critics of that selection.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, I was. I thought it was absolutely fact Pat and the French. But anyway, we've moved on from there.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you may have moved on, may not have moved on really. Uh but they are a big chance in the Mum's Mum Cup. And uh the skipper sent out a an edict to them all.

SPEAKER_02

What's an edict, mate?

SPEAKER_03

I believe it's a penis you purchase online.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, okay, I didn't know you could do that even.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know what an edict means he sent out a directive. He's told them all, in order, if you like, if you're talking in Army Speak, as they do out there occasionally. Uh what with saving, private, and the general and tank rider, all that stuff. Uh Frogman, that's an avi diver for those that didn't know. Damien Cook's also a B sprinter if you hadn't heard that. I just thought I'd throw that in there. Uh anyway, he sent out an edict selling them all to uh try and just win for themselves, basically go for the individual trophies.

SPEAKER_04

That uh is problematic in itself, isn't it, really, when you're trying to build a team. So uh it'll be interesting to see how they go. So uh there's still a bit of a shambles out there. How's King Brown Town looking these days?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, I don't know if you've ever been out there, Ron, but uh it's not somewhere you put as you have places to go. Certainly not a bucket list item, not at this stage. But they need the cash injection from winning uh the Mum's Bum Cup. Uh once they get that, they get the exposure, then the sponsorship dollars flow, and you know, they can do the join up. But at the moment they're still still sitting on that big duck egg when you look at the THC Premiership champions over the year.

SPEAKER_04

All right, well, thank you for dropping in, Timmy. One more to go. I bet you you'll be happier going by Chopper again tomorrow.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, yes, but I'm gonna be wearing boxing gloves this time, and I've told Bruce uh I've asked him to wear thongs or even bare feet.

SPEAKER_05

What will Benzler do without his foots? Just one question for you, Timmy. How's Metro Mack going after the little kerfuffle a couple of weekends ago? Metro Matt is fired up.

SPEAKER_03

I've never seen him this fired up. He's actually locked him inside, self inside. He's a little shack, and I'm talking little, little. And uh he's w in there a sweat box it's become. He is just letting that sun beat down on the tin roof and he's sitting in there building up all that anger, and he's coming after Joshua and the croc. And save in private, no doubt, still harbouring a little bit of aggression towards the croc. The way the King Browns were treated. And in all fairness, in the court of public opinion, there seems to be a a leaning towards the King Browns uh being correct in this instance, which is a an entire rarity at times, too, but that's the way it is. Well, I think most people looked at that and thought that's a bullshit move from the crocs.

SPEAKER_02

That is just the way the crocs are, mate. They smile at you and pretend everything's alright, and you turn around and they just bite your ass, mate. That's what they do, the crocs. They love biting ass.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, they are building up a bit of a track record, aren't they, the crocs, though? They've always been our nemesis, the shooters. We were the first two teams. Crocs and shooters. We never got to shoot them though. Uh 7-0 those first years, but hey, we're not going to bring that up anymore. No need to talk about things like that. How's Manscaper Nads taking his demotion from marquee down to number four in the team? Uh is he okay?

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, Nad, he's fine. He's up there, he's been working out all the odds and that with Nikabee. They've been uh talking on the phone. They're the only Croc and King Brown that really get on at the moment. And uh, you know, he's had that green jacket and he's been pruning it and and keeping it outside and uh getting it aired, and then he tries it on three, four, five hundred times a day. Uh still not any uh looser, but that's fine. He's happy. He's just proud to have won that green jacket.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, Mustard must be pretty happy with himself. He's had another rip-roaring season, he's right up to his neck in all the competitions.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, he's a pretty layback character, he's mustard. Always got a smile for you. He just sort of lases about, smiles when he has to, nods his head at the skipper and then goes out and just decimates most of the field in most events. Uh I'll tell you what, he's happy there's a little bit of rain about in Adelaide, though. He's been checking that weather report six, seven times an hour and uh praying in between two. And tank writer Jace, how's he looking? Looking fit, ready to go? He had a couple of setbacks, as we know, a little while ago, but I'll tell you what, he has come back looking tremendous. He is gonna be out there giving his all in the mum's bum cup. Real chance, and I think people have dead set written this guy off. He is one of the true heartbeats within the King Browns, um, but they have to fix themselves next year. They have to fix it at the fucking draft table. It's as simple as that. No doubt about that. If they've always been very top heavy and they've got three, four, five players really good, but they've got to get those bottom ones right, and uh maybe this year is the year he makes a move. Oh, he's very big on the uh team camaraderie sort of thing, even though there's a schism in that town. Uh he'll bring them all together on tour unite them, buy them all free piss for days so that there's no more attempts at coups. Uh if you only got to remember a few years ago there were a few talking about uh change and that it might be time for a change at the top, but he won them over with free beers and free uh spirits all weekend. And he does that well. He does bribes them out of it, yep, loves it.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I a little birdie tells me, and there are whispers, that uh it's not gonna get any easier at the draft table, and certainly not any easier for the King Browns to win their first premiership. They did win their first Mum's Bum Cup last year, so no doubt they're going for back to backs where uh they it'll be funny to see them actually transfer the jacket back to back. Um they are a big chance, but uh at the moment you're not seeing a lot of confidence for next season as a whole.

SPEAKER_03

That's right, they've got to pull their fingers out of each other, and then they've gotta get to that draft table and they've got to go in with a strategy, a plan. And uh sometimes, you know, you've got to cut loose the ballast and uh bring in a bit of extra power and grunt, and it'll be interesting. The next two player drafts are going to be massive, in my opinion. I've been looking at things, I hear a few whispers through doorways myself, Ronald's, and I tell you, it's gonna be big. It's on like Donkey Kong, and we say that all the time, but it is.

SPEAKER_02

And Donkey Kong, whoever he is, he was a gorilla mate in a game years ago.

SPEAKER_03

Alright, thank you, Mario. Fuck off. And uh, can't wait. No more time, fellas. I can hear the chopper blades, gotta get going, places to go, people to see, things to do. I will see you for the last time before the tour tomorrow.

SPEAKER_04

All right then, Timmy. We look forward to getting your report on the Wranglers Ranch. So are you looking forward to going down there just quickly before you head out?

SPEAKER_03

Uh well, you know, wankler ranch, yeah, I'll go down and have a look. These guys are so damn well up themselves that uh it's always a little bit painful to go down there because they're just gloating, sitting around getting fat and bloated. Uh but they've had another strong season. Gotta give them that.

SPEAKER_01

Son of a bitch, Paul. Why didn't you just go home? That's your home. Are you too good for your home? Answer me! Suck my white ass ball.

SPEAKER_04

Alright then, boys, that just about does it for today. We'll be back tomorrow with our last podcast that is not about comps and the tour itself. Uh, and we'll be covering off all of the nominations for Big Man of the Year. One of the major, if not the major, pillar trophy. Should be exciting stuff. Yeah, I've heard there's been a captain's revolt against a carnival in many ways, a mini coup, and they've uh made sure that they've involved someone in this that didn't necessarily want to be in it, I suppose. Yes, well the captains can be very influential at times and they have put their foot down on this one, so I'm looking forward to uh or we're looking forward to bringing them to you tomorrow. Until then we've got State of Origin 1 tonight. Usually that's the night before the tour, but this year it's a a week out with this five week block in May, and we're all going for the blues, aren't we not?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, mate, of course we are. Blues, blues, blues all the way.

SPEAKER_05

I don't know, I might give the Morones a bit of a cheer on tonight. Uh what time does it start?

SPEAKER_04

I believe it's at eight o'clock on channel nine, unfortunately, but uh there will be ads in the game too, little pictures popping up and pissing you off, basically. Ah right, that's way past my bedtime. I won't be watching.

SPEAKER_05

I'll be going for the blues, I think, this year.

SPEAKER_03

They're the underdogs, aren't they?

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah, they're never the underdogs. It's always the Queenslanders wanna be the underdogs. Morones, morones, marines. Oh, it's a boring colour, isn't it? Well, if you're going just on colours it would be. So enjoy the evening, boys. Make sure you start to get plenty of sleep and start to get ready for this tour because we, from tomorrow, are literally into the week long countdown, seven days, and that's it. See ya for now.

SPEAKER_05

Ciao, boys, see you later.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I see you later, you saucy minxes and beastly brutes.

SPEAKER_05

See ya fellas, I'm off to the Fan Wan room.

SPEAKER_02

Goodbye, boys. I look forward to talking and corresponding with you more tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01

Oh Maria. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, be the ball. Back to you, Shanti Santa.
