The PodBoffins give BBB & DallyM updates for weeks 43 through to week 46. A quick bookies update followed by some weather and packing for the tour advice follow.

SPEAKER_00

Great to have you on the tour, Happy. I feel a lot of solid energy coming out of you. Good positive order.

SPEAKER_04

Hello, hello, hello, all you boys out there for beatable. Three more sleeps to go. Then we hit Taurus. That's right, it's our Christmas every June long weekend, and I can't wait. We're here, ready for all the boys to come in. How are you feeling, Laurie? Oh, it's absolutely superb. We've all got a bit of a Lurgy at the moment, which is not good. Not ideal, especially leading into the prestigious mum's bummy cup, but uh can't wait to get this week on.

SPEAKER_03

And the weather's not looking as good as it and fine as it should be. As a scossy, it doesn't worry me at all. I'm at home in my element, a little bit of drizzle, a little bit of wetness around the green, so to speak. So uh if we can get through the weather and maybe get a little bit of luck there, it should be a wonderful week.

SPEAKER_02

Uh doesn't matter anyway. These boys make fun wherever they go, so I don't really think the weather's gonna make a difference. Uh it's gonna be wet, wet, wet early in the week, but uh it's starting to look a little more promising. Touch wood, uh, later in the week, so hopefully all goes well.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, mate, it's just good to be here. I can't wait to see the kettle dogs in particular, Londra Leber, Little Leber Dukes Raw Daniel, and all the other boys.

SPEAKER_04

Well it's all ready to go. Carnival has been hard at it, and there's a lot to get done and pull together this week, but it's all looking pretty good at the moment. Very quick podcast next couple of days, and we're just going to update some of the weeks of the competition, those pillar comps in particular, Triple B's Baskets and uh the Punter of the Year, and then you've got the group two events behind them, the DAMs and Stable Wars. Uh so we're going to run through some of those results.

SPEAKER_02

We may also need to give a bit of a checklist to the boys because a lot of them will be packing this week, and knowing some of these fellas, uh they'll leave it to the very last moment. Some things they should not forget, especially this week. Good idea, but we'll get to that later.

SPEAKER_04

For now, let's begin where the big baskets are in one of those pillar events.

SPEAKER_01

Big Basketball Triple B's.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, boys, let's have a look at how we left things back in week 43, not forgetting we had that big five-week block to end the year, which is always makes it uh, you know, very interesting and exciting, to be honest. But uh at the end of week 43, the top eight in the Triple B's were Water Tank Matt on 3,070, Master Key Matt 2998, so 72 points or so off the lead. In third, we had Lonro Leber just in front of Dukesrow Daniel, a couple of cattle dogs there right in the guts. Saving Private was next, 2875, Wakstar Jimmy just below him. Goldiga Gaverby was in seventh for the Wranglers, so that gave them two, and Manscaper Nads was two eight one seven. He was running last of that top eight. He had scraped in with a five more five, I believe it was that uh lost out in that last week. The the worst cut of all, as far as the triple B's go, you come all that way and then don't quite get into that top eight. But Water Tank Matt, he was out by 72 odd points, week 43. Yeah, so we had a couple of Wranglers, we had three King Rounds, uh two cattle dogs and one shooter. Uh no uh crocs this year, Ron. We touched on that earlier, but that's pretty disappointing from them. I mean, could be McKenna, he'll be spewing, he'll be dead set throwing rocks at their feet, telling them to dance after that performance. Well, they normally pride themselves on being one of the best tipping teams, and no doubt at all the Crocs where it's hurt this year has been their tipping because it also flows into the DAMs. Uh, and with not one bloke in top uh inside the last 13, uh they must be having a good look in the mirror, a good hard look at uh what they'll do next year to try and become that premier team once again. In week 44, this is how it's shaped out. The top score for the week in week 44 for the Triple B's was number 95, Water Tank Matt, 98.1 points. In second spot, Manscaper Nads 97.7, and in third spot of week 44, Dukes Row Daniel 64.1 points. This means the monthly medal for May, that was the first week, so it's the scores are the same. Tank is on top, Water Tank Matt uh from Nads and Dukes Row Daniel. More importantly, in the overall yearly leaderboard, that meant that Water Tank Matt had extended his lead to 120 points over second place Lonro Leber, and in third spot was Mustard Keem Matt. So it's all looking uh like Water Tank Matt at this stage. Yeah, it might be, but don't forget, there was a stack of double points, long, long price winners, especially in Brisbane over the last month. And uh while it's a handy lead, it's never enough in the Triple B's. We've seen players come home from the clouds and you know have the biggest weeks of the entire season and and steal victory. So Water Tank Matt sitting up there, it's nice and pleasant, he's going all right, but uh Lonro, Leber, Mustachine, Matt, Dukesrow, Daniel, the next three, and it's good to see Nadse, who we know likes to scout real wide, he's uh starting to move up that board. Well, yes, there were plenty of changes in that week uh from week 43 to week 44, uh, but they were the three.

SPEAKER_02

What about the Dally M's? Uh that would have affected that for sure.

SPEAKER_04

Well, the Dally EMs when we went behind closed doors, week 43, Craig's Carnival was on top with 21 points, but not forgetting, he did not make the cut in the top eight, nor did the second man on that ladder, number 104 Smitywin, also a wrangler. He was on 19 points. Water Tank Matt was on 17 points at the end of week 43, running third in the Dally M's. Obviously he's had a massive week that first week of the final five weeks in May. And Water Tank Matt has gone up to second in the Dally M come week 44. Carnival leading by just a solitary point where he can make no more points. Water tank Matt still has time to catch him and surpass him. Smitty win in third at 19, probably under attack from Dukesrow and Gaverby, who aren't far off.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you've got to love seeing those three Wranglers up the top of the Dally M's, don't you? They had a glitch tipping year as a team, the Wranglers, let's be honest. That's where their real strength was, not so much in the punting, which we'll get to tomorrow. Uh, but well done to them and that race at the top, go water tank, Matt.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, it's not over yet, mate. We've got London or leper there. He's sitting in second, and he produces under pressure, mate. Don't worry about that.

SPEAKER_02

I'd be more worried about Nancy than any of them because this man can find a winner at odds, and I'm talking big odds. So it's all looking good, and Water Tank Matt would be quite comfortable.

SPEAKER_04

He has been on top for a lot of the season, let's be honest. Probably since about halfway through, he's managed to uh hold off all challenges. Uh it's it'd be sad to a degree to see him uh capitulate at this point in the season and not win. Uh but we all know this ain't over till it's over. Never is the Triple Bs.

SPEAKER_01

Week forty five. Triple B's and Dalibs.

SPEAKER_04

Week forty-five wasn't a huge scoring week, but we did have a cattle dog on top, Mario. Go your good things, I love that. Was it Londro Leber? No, my friend, it was little Leber. It was Dukes Row Daniel who topped the week in week 45 for the Triple B's. He finished on 84.8 points. In second spot for that week, Mustard Keane Matt, 79.7. And in third spot was Big Leber, uh, 59.2. So three of the two of the top three, Cattle Dogs, uh, which meant monthly medal, Dukes Row Daniel took over on top at 149 points, give or take. Water tank Matt second, 145, Manscaped of Nads 140 in third, and Mustard Keane just behind him, 129 in fourth. The overall leaderboard, which is what all eyes are on at the moment, let's be honest. Water tank Matt continues to lead after week 45 on 3216. In second spot, Mustard Keen Matt has leapfrogged Lonro Leber into 3127. And in third spot, Lonro Leber 3108, Dukes Row Daniel in fourth still, 3035. And saving private, who's heading the wrong way, Manscaper Nads, Walkstar Jimmy Golddigger Gaverby round out that top eight.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, over to the Dally M's. How's that shaken out now?

SPEAKER_04

Well, with no points going to Water Tank Matt, Craig's Carnival remains in front with the DALEMs after week 45. He's got 21 points in second spot, Water Tank Matt 20 points. Smitty win is in third on 19 points. So Carnival would have been sitting there hanging on by his fingernails, praying that he can get over the line. He's never won the Dally Ms. Finished second a couple of times, and uh at the moment he's hanging on by one point, but there's still three weeks to go in the month, and uh, you know, it'll be difficult to see him hanging on. You'd think Water Tank Matt, who's led all year, would, you know, at one week of those three do at least something.

SPEAKER_02

Dixrow Daniel's made a move though, hasn't he, up that Dali M leaderboard. He has now jumped all over the place, and he's uh up into fourth, uh seventeen point five, with three weeks to go, that's nine points. He's definitely a threat as well.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, he is, a big threat. He's coming hard, Dix Row Daniel. He's had a fabulous second season in, and I tell you, he is definitely in there. Mustard Keen Matt's on 14 in fifth spot. He would need pretty much to win the last three weeks, as would Golddigger Gavy, one behind him. Manscaper Nads, if he was to uh win the last three weeks of the triple B tipping, he would tie Carnival on top. But you'd imagine other points are going to go to others. So it's probably down to you know, Water Tank Matt, Dukesrow, Daniel and Mustard, I would say. Uh perhaps Gaverby a bit of an outside chance.

SPEAKER_01

Triple B's Daliams, week 46.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, this will be the last of our updates before we go to tour and do the presentation on Thursday night for final placings. But in week 46 of the Triple B's, Golddigger Gaverby has produced a big round, a hundred points neat, uh, to take out week 46. Manscaper Nads, he keeps coming. 61.7, a fair way off, Gaverby. It was a tough week all around that week 46. Uh, nobody could nail those long shots in that week. Uh, it's not to say it didn't happen in the last couple, but Manscaper Nads was second for the week. And Water Tank Matt, there we have it. Boom. 51.04 points. Just holding out Dukesrow, Mustard Keen, Matt, and Wanro for that third spot and getting one point, which will change things in the Daliam. We'll get to that shortly. Monthly medal looking at that, Manscaper Nads has now gone to uh the top for the monthly medal. He's uh three points in front of Dukesrow Daniel. Water tank Matt back in third, so that's 201 versus 198 versus 196. So there's nothing in that at all.

SPEAKER_03

And in the yearly leaderboard, let's have a look at this. There he goes the bigger angler. Water tank matt 3267. Still nearly 100 points in front of Mustard Key Matt 3172. And then we have London Leber, a third spot, 3152, just in front of Sanduk's road. Daniel, there you top four, rounding out that top eight four a week of 46. Manscaped announced 3018.72. Goldigger Gavy 3018.39. Uh saving private who went very wide. Widest of all, actually, he went for the single digit over that last five weeks. He has slipped all the way down to seventh from fifth place originally. And then Waxar Jimmy, who hasn't been able to quite nail his weeks yet. Two nine, seven, five, bringing out three or the top eight.

SPEAKER_02

There we go. If my mathematics is correct, which it always is, uh, that would put Water Tank Matt equal with Craig's Carnival at the top of the Dali M's with just a couple of weeks to go.

SPEAKER_04

Yep, dead right. They're both on 21. Now we know Carnival can't win. He's hanging on for a draw now. He'd be happy to split the win with Water Tank Matt, I imagine. Smitty wins still there in nine to uh third spot on nineteen, Dukes Row Daniel there in fourth on 17.5, but there are points to come. Gaverby with that three points has moved up to 15. Or maybe 16 points, sorry. Maybe he can produce that last couple of weeks and come from the Clouds to take out the Dallyams, possibly even the Triple Bs. Who knows? Oh yeah, it's a matter royale, isn't it? It's uh I love it. As you said, it's never over till it's over. This is one comp where it's just not done. Punter of the year is another one where anyone can do anything in that last five weeks. So uh there we have it though. Yep, that's it. That's all you're getting for now, boys. That's an update. So that's up to and including week 46. We have two weeks to go, week 47 and week 48, which will be revealed on the Thursday night of the tour, and we will have our Triple B and DALEM champions announced.

SPEAKER_05

Make a little noise here, huh?

SPEAKER_01

Come on, Mum's Bum Cup Market Update.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, lads, just got off the blower with Mikka B. McKenna, head of the odds updates. Uh the market boards, of course, here and Manscaped and Ads have been looking after it. Uh Sam is Sideshow Sam, that is, is now the new outright favourite. He's into $3 now, so he's taken place of uh Strength and Johnna, who opened at that and has drifted since. So Sideshow Sam, the money keeps coming for him, and here early Harry sold it at $10 now. He's halved his opening quote. They are the two to beat. How many news on Hendo's Hole and how that's going? Yes, we do actually. There's a new favourite for this, and it's uh quite outstanding. Gold digger Gaverby has been backed in to $3 to take out Hendo's hole. So if he was to win, that would mean the Crocs would also win. Uh sorry, the Wranglers would also win, and I believe they're at about 450. So uh quite outstanding that Gaverby is uh a favourite to win this, and it's only 113 metres. If he's ever gonna hit one good shot over an entire weekend, that's it.

SPEAKER_02

I'd back him in too, the big fellow. He is a champion tray athlete, as we know. He could probably throw it that far and get it close. Are you allowed to throw it?

SPEAKER_04

No, no, you've got to use a club, but uh well, that is a bit of a surprise. So there you go, that's the latest market update. Don't forget, you can still get on with the bookies right up until first tea time. Uh so as soon as that first ball is hit in anger on Friday of the tour, that's when the market is suspended. But up until that point, you can get on whoever, whatever team you want for the Hendo's hole, whatever player you want for either the Mum's Bum Cup or Hendo's hole. So don't forget, and even when you lose, you win, because all that money goes towards drinks on Sunday night for champions closing ceremony meal at Chinese, our favourite.

SPEAKER_05

Oh yeah, it is perfect way to end the weekend, mate, the big Chinese feed. I can almost taste it now.

SPEAKER_04

Don't forget, boys, while we're on the Chinese feed, you need to bring a $20 note on Sunday night. I don't want silver, or sorry, not me, but Carnival has said, he doesn't want silver or gold. Get yourself a $20 note or two tens, four fives if you can't do the maths. Uh, and you need to give that to your skipper on your table uh on the night. And that helps offset the costs, of course, of the meal. But more than importantly, what it does is it pays for the champion THC Premiership winning team. Now we won't know who that is until after Sunday uh the golf, when it's all completed, the Mum's Mum Cup and our champions crowned. Uh, but everyone needs to be prepared to bring that on Sunday night. So you've forewarned, you got lots of notice. Uh get to an ATM or something. I know cash is a little bit different these days, but it's not hard to get your head out hand on a lobster at some point.

SPEAKER_05

Just make sure it doesn't bite you on my The price is wrong, bitch.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, lads, that just about does it all for us today. Uh, we do have a quick look at the weather and packing and what you need to make sure you do not forget when you're going on tour this weekend. Yeah, the weather at the moment's starting to uh you know come into play a little bit more for us. It looked absolutely horrendous here for weeks at one point, expecting 300 millimetres in the week of rain. Not going to happen though at the moment, if this holds up. So Thursday is a possible shower, 70%, one to five mil. A Friday, less than a millimeter, 50% chance. So that's great because that gives us a really good opportunity to get that first round in. With uh, you know, not too much damage, hopefully, you know. There's a fair bit of wind around this week too, especially early in the week. So hopefully that will dry out the course and there won't be any dramas with carts, etc. If there are no carts, what's to go there, Ron? If there are no carts, we'll be walking. It's that simple. So um, you know, there'll be a drinks cart on course, or maybe there'll be drinks walking too, I don't know. Uh, but you'll just have to uh get through the day. Uh and Sunday, uh looking at that, how are we going there, Laurie? Oh, Sunday's looking not too bad. Top of eighteen, uh, ten percent chance of rain less than a mil. That's what they're saying at the moment. This has all changed round a fair bit, as you know, the last ten days in particular, but it's looking a hell of a lot brighter than it was. All right, packing, Mario. What do you need to pack?

SPEAKER_05

Well, mate, apart from your lobster that you said earlier that they've got to take for Sunday night uh champion's dinner. You also need to remember wet weather gear, guys. If you have a spray jacket, you should bring that for golf. It should be in your golf coat. If you have a pants, go for your life. Everybody should wear pants playing golf. It's just a dumb thing, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, it certainly is pantsless golf. It's frowned upon, unfortunately. Um in winter though, I'm pretty sure we'd all prefer to place our pants on. But uh anyway, that's oh by the bay, there'd be some shocking images out there, wouldn't there, on the tee, especially bending over to put that ball in the ground if people were pantsless, mate. God, people would be sick everywhere.

SPEAKER_05

There's already quite a lot of sick people out there on that Friday morning in the Sunday morning too, mate, you know, and for other reasons than pence.

SPEAKER_04

Yep, I don't know where you two have actually gone off to on that. So yes, if you have that gear. As far as merchandise goes, boys, you will be receiving a vest on the Friday morning at 8 a.m. Carnival. We'll be handing them out in the foyer or in his room. He will update that. He sent me a note to let you guys know that. Uh, and a beanie. So you're getting a vest and a beanie this year, uh, and they look quite brilliant, to be honest, from what he's seen. He's saying that uh Chris has done a wonderful job for us again at Zivo Global. He won't be joining us on tour this year, hopefully back next year. Uh, but he once again has just come through.

SPEAKER_03

What would you be taking, Sandy? Uh uh the room key. Every time you leave the room, make sure you know who has the key. Uh strength and genre. Uh this is one thing that you probably should rate on your wrist or something like that to remember. So your room key is number one, uh, your after sheft two. You want to smell good at all times if possible.

SPEAKER_04

What were the f first things you packed that you can't forget? No, it's got to be headache tablets.

SPEAKER_03

You need them.

SPEAKER_04

You also probably need, you know, some barockers. Hey, you need anything that may need to patch you up and keep you going fairly quickly. Yes, it is Adelaide and there are chemists there, but we don't know what time they bloody open. They might only open from 4 30 pm to 5pm. Who knows? Especially on a weekend in the CBD. And that reminds me, I don't think we've still got a pub yet for the Saturday. No, but don't forget Saturday's a completely free day. Uh the vest will be worn on the Thursday night by the losing uh stable. And you've so it just works out that we'll find somewhere that has the NRL. I know Carnival's still chasing it up. Someone in our travels will find a pub that's got the horse racing NRL. A lot of boys going out to the races anyway, and a hoop that have bought these drinks packages for the Thursday night. It's gonna go off with a bang by the look of it Thursday.

SPEAKER_02

Ah, tell you what, they're coming from everywhere. The King Browns are all over them. There's been boys from every group and the orders are coming through. Carnival's run off his feet, the demand is high. Obviously, some value there.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, boys, that's about it for now. Uh we're back tomorrow to do the Punter of the Year and Stable Wars. Tomorrow, we will do a quick run-up until about week 46, same as we've done today. Until then, I hope you're all getting excited. I know we are, it is going to be a brilliant weekend. As always, can't wait to see you all on tour.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, cheers boys, see you there. Yeah, back tomorrow, boys. We're not gone just yet.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, fellas, goodbye. Yeah, see you later, you beastly brutes, and uh if there's any saucy minxes out there, you know where to find me.

SPEAKER_01

Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, be the ball.
