My word, what a useful part that was.
SPEAKER_01Hello, hello, hello, gentlemen of the Beat the Ball Tour. I trust you are all well and had a wonderful weekend. If you love sports, it was a bit hard not to. Too right, mate, there were sports on wall to wall everywhere. I didn't know where to look. Yeah, the World Cup finals, those crazy Spaniard bastards, they got up and they won it. Argentina not happy, but uh celebration's not gonna get as messy as they normally are, that's for sure.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, mate, it was great fun to watch it. I loved it. I'm I'm a little bit sad that it's over now because I got I was getting sucked into it, mate. Just look into a vacuum cleaner. I loved it so much.
SPEAKER_01How about you down there, Ben? How did you enjoy it? I really couldn't give a rat's ass, to be totally honest. It's not a game that I enjoy, and it's certainly not a game on getting up in the middle of the night for to watch a nil old draw after three and a half hours. Well, I think you've been a little harsh on it. It was a nil all draw at full time today in the final, and uh it came down to a great goal in extra time to get the Spaniards home. So Spain won that. And of course the golf Sandy, how good was the open? It was sensational, my favourite commentator of all time. Sneaky Sam Torrens. He was on fire right through it. Uh and that Kiwi, the Foxy Kiwi got up. How about that, Ryan Fox? Great to see someone from our little brother across the ditch uh doing something special, and he he hung on. It was a tight final round, it was gripping stuff. Yeah, I loved it. I loved watching happen almost from start to finish, and I'll tell you what, you know, uh that wind didn't get up at any stage over that four days, and the winning score was only 10 under, and that was what the overnight leader Sam Burns was on. If that wind was up and howling like it normally does, that score might have been next to even part of in the whole thing, but it was great viewing, it's bloody dry over there. You wouldn't want to light a match anywhere near some of the English countryside at the moment, would you? No, you would not, and of course that was our first Tattoo Trophy event of the season, Beatleball 19, the open, and we get to announce the winner today. The first man who's getting big points uh to go into his THC Premiership and Tattoo Trophy aspirational points. He may be a champion on the way, who knows? So we'll announce that very shortly. Uh one thing over there, Bryson DeChombo found himself in a bit of shit once again. Yeah, the mask slipped a little, didn't it? I mean, years ago, nobody really liked Bryson, even his parents struggled to send him a birthday card, but uh then he changed his whole persona. He's huge, obviously, on uh social media and all that jazz, and he uh had the whole world going, oh Bryson's not a bad bloke, but my god that mask did slip on the weekend. Two stroke penalty, and uh didn't he carry on like a good sort. Yeah, he certainly did. He threatened not to come back, he's put a total media ban on everything, which is strange for a guy who relies on the media to generate all that publicity for him. Uh but Big Bryson, well, he he trampled down the grass, he bought everything but a steamroller in, a whippersnipper, uh you know, he had the glormower handy if you needed, and uh the officials said, well, that's just not on.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, mate, but then I see Scotty Shiftler, he hits a ball, you know, somewhere where he shouldn't have hit that ball, and he goes, Can I have a free drop just here, please, mate? And they say, Of course, Scotty, it's Scotty Sheffler, you can have a drop.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Bryson's probably sitting in a clubhouse somewhere sinking his 17th schooner thinking, holy hell, you know, what do I gotta do? Well, it doesn't really matter. It was a great tournament, it's all over, and those points are gonna be very handy for the overhaul TKC premiers this year, and what a race it is. I've seen some of the scoring so far. My god, the Wranglers, they won't be running away with it this year, not like the last two. No, they won't. So let's get to it right now. The open. Okay, getting down to brass tacks, boys, and the open, as we know, he's run over four rounds. Uh, you have three players that you choose. The first one is a six multiplier to whatever the odds are for him. Second three, third is just the single multiplier, just one. So Sandy, would you be so kind as to remind us of, say, the top ten as far as the US uh not the US, it was the open in England, of course, the old British Open. Indeed, I will. So the winner in the end was Ryan Fox, that Foxy Devil from New Zealand. He won at ten under, he finished in first place alone, no playoffs, anything like that. It was pulsating watching that final nine halls. There were about eight or nine guys who could have got into it and it was sensational. Yeah, how how good's his family? His old man Grand Fox was one of the all black greats, and his grandfather played cricket for New Zealand in the 40s and 50s, I believe. So I mean, if he's got a little brother who's doing jack shit, he's not going to be feeling real good about himself. Family of underachievers. Oh, they certainly are that at all. Who finished second? Cameron Young, that American, he's getting close to winning a major, couldn't quite get their nine under. Sam Burns, third under Scotty Sheffler was in the tie for fourth, seven under with Tommy Fleetwood. He started on fire, Scotty. And you thought that it might be his day, but no, he just sort of plateaued halfway through the round. Tied for six, Casey Jarvis, South Africa, Lucas Herbert. How good was he?
SPEAKER_00Oh Herbert Lucas, he's a fantastic golfer, mate. And I believe he is out of hearing sometimes. Look, he has a bit of hearing problems. And so for him to do that, mate, what he did, you know, that was sensational. I was so proud to be here. And was he watching him? A 62, mate. He nearly had the best record for one round of all time in all majors. And I sat up cheering for him so hard, but uh he just couldn't quite get there, mate.
SPEAKER_01No, and he left two parts on the edge. He rimmed out on one part, and that final putt on the 18th to give him a 61. Uh it just sat there, literally looking into the hole, but it wouldn't go in, the little bugger. Uh so Lucas Herbert, he was excellent, 600. Uh Siwoo Kim, he was there at 600 for the Korean. Adam Scott, another Aussie in the top 10. Manus Fave and Russell Hanley, Rasmus, Neargard Peterson, and Ludwig Eberg or Auburgh or Aceberg or whatever Berg you want to call him, he was at five under as well with the American Ryan Girard. So that was the top 13 players, including Taze. I might get you just go down to 20 uh because that way the boys who have had their picks will know because you only get points if you finish in the top 20. So just quickly run through them if you can. Don't go into too much depth, Sandy. No problems at all. I'm hearing you. Corey Connor, Sungji M, Hideki Matsuyama, Brays and DeShambo, Ruki Fu like Chris got her up and then got her down. Bud Cawley, Marco Penj, Alex Nodden, and Colin Morakawa joined Jordan Smith, Christophari, Tandam Brown, Xander Shortley. Now, if you heard those names, they got you points in the Beatle the Open Tattoo Trophy event. Right, so that's all the players. Now, let's have a look at how these scoreboards turned out. Maddie Fitzpatrick must have been one of the greatest dives in history. Like that bloke, he lost the shit lost the plot halfway through, and he was selected by, I would imagine, close to 40% of the field to run in the first three places of all the beat the ballers that went in it. We had a field of 43. Five guys uh either didn't get their entries in on time or chose not to go in it. Uh so they will get no points for their teams, with a maximum of points being 43 for the Tri Harder Cup. Yep, uh that goes to the winner. He will get 43 points to his team, second 42, third 41, etc. Right down to one. Okay, points wise, our winner. Can we get a drum roll, please?
SPEAKER_02The BTB 19 Open Champion, number 67, Metro Matt King Brown.
SPEAKER_01Wonderful effort. That King Brown, Metro Matt. Great to see the King Brown sticking it to everybody. Cop that, everyone, get that right up here. Metro Matt's come from the clouds, and he is the champion, and he gets the first major tattoo trophy points of the year. That trophy's coming to us finally. The THC Premiership hits ours. Well, I wouldn't go that far this quickly, but it was a superb effort from Metro Matt. He emerged on top in what was a very tight contest. Nobody selected Ryan Fox at all in any 6-3 or 1 multiplier. So he was out of play. Uh, there were a lot of players who missed the cut. We spoke about Matty Fitzpatrick. There was another handful, like Justin Rose, he didn't rise at all. He actually flopped, and uh he was uh another very popular guy who didn't really do anything at all. There was no way he was ever going to really compete hard for that championship. So well done Metro Map. He won it, I'll tell you right now, with the pick of Cameron Young. He had him as his six-time multiplier, the only guy in there that did. Uh Cameron Young, it was funny, he wasn't selected by that many, which was quite odd because normally he's very popular. Uh but that was enough to get him home because that got him 79.2 points because he finished as a top five, a top ten, and a top 20, and that was multiplied by six. And when you put them all together, he had him, uh, and that was enough to get him over the line. He had Shane Lowry and Cameron Smith as his other selections. Uh Lowry did okay for a while. Cameron Smith was a bumper. He didn't even make the cut. So he finished in first place. Well done, Metro Matt. In second, Roger that dever, 67.80 points. He had Tommy Fleetwood on top, uh, and he got him 45.3 points through his odds. And he had Siwoo Kim, the only man out of the 43 ballers that actually selected Siwoo Kim, uh, and his finish gave him 22.5 points, and that was enough to get him up into second, and he only lost by uh what was that, about a dozen points, which is nothing in this format. And third place goes to a brand new shooter who is shooting the lights out right across the board to start the season. Smitty win. He had Scheffler on top, and of course Scheffler got those uh top 5, 10, and 20 point uh top 20 points, but he was very, very short odds. He was the favourite. Uh Tommy Fleetwood, he had to run second, and uh Colin Morikawa, who managed a top 20 finish, and that got Smitty 56.48 points. So he was one of the only few to uh pick all three to get points. The other one was Gold Digger Gaverby. Uh he finished just out of the placings with Scotty Scheffler, Ludwig Aberg, and Corey Connors who snuck into a top 20. Uh, and they were the only two, I believe, that got the full three players getting all points. Plenty of duck eggs. I think there was close to eight or nine duck eggs in there, the boys just having no luck. Uh Rory McElroy, very popular as always, but Rory could only manage a top 40 finish, so he gained no points at all. Uh and all kudos goes to Metro Matt. Well done, champion. Yeah, will the players be able to see their scores and everything? Yes, I've been told Carnival will be posting the final scores, uh, the final uh ladders, all that stuff. And these points have now gone into the Tattoo trophy totals for the year and the THC Premierships, and I, a little birdie, tells me that has shaken things up big time.
SPEAKER_00Oh, go you cattle dogs, I've got a feeling in my bones. It could be our turn. Uh no, it's not. Oh, okay. Well maybe it is next time.
SPEAKER_01Maybe it is. So there it is. The open, done, dusted, run, major points in the THC Premiership, Tattoo Trophy, Metro Mac games for the King Browns. He plus gets a hundred bucks off his fees for beat a ball twenty, which I'm assuming the big man will be on. Uh, and he just gets all applauded. Well done, like Ryan Fox. He did enough to sneak home, squeak home, and it was a great effort. Uh just before we go on, uh, who did the teams go in that event? Well, it all comes down to who enters and who doesn't, and that's the whole trick with this. I'll give you an insight for free. Ten cents worth of nothing. And that is if your players in your team do not go in these comps, you you're suffering every time because over the course of a full season, 48 weeks, you're going to lose points. Uh, and that's it. Even if they go in and get one point, one point's better than no points. Because uh if they enter each comp, you're a chance. So from this very event, the team that was best was uh the Cattle Dogs, 215. They've opened up with a new strategy this year. You were talking about the other day. Yeah, Lebba's done a bit of shifting and they're playing like a real team now, they're all going in the one direction, and they're putting the team first, team first policy. I love it. They are indeed, and uh they snuck home by two points from the Crocs who finished with 213 overall, the shooters 189, the Wranglers 179, and the King Browns 151. But I think the King Browns only had about six guys in it, and I know the Cattle Dogs also had a couple guys out, so for them to finish so high, that was wonderful for the Cattle Dogs because it was all made all the more harder because they were men down. But anyway, there it is.
SPEAKER_02What's your name? Be the ball big basketball. Triple B's.
SPEAKER_01Moving right along, gentlemen, and the triple B's for week three saw uh Win Danielson, shooter, take out the top spot for the week in another very tight contest. He scored 106.7 points for week three. So the shooter on top, uh, Water Tank Matt, there's the defending champion. He had a pretty average first couple of weeks, but he has come right back into contention again, showing that form that won him the the uh big gong last year, one of the four major pillar trophies. He was in second and 105.68. So there's only about a point difference there. And Carnival, he had a decent week, 93.68. He snuck into third just in front of Roger Lack Deva on 91.88 points. Jeez, it's tough to find some winners at this time of the year. I tell you what, talk about desperates and donkeys, my goodness. Heavy tracks, big fields at times, and then a thousand scratchings, uh, all sorts of stuff there. I think you just got into a little bit of my accent there, did you not? Yeah, it is a tough time of year, especially when you've got double points up there in Queensland. But they raced on a pretty good track. I think it was a soft five in the end, so not too bad. They generally won run pretty close to their price and form up there at that time if you get a half decent track. So they were the top three. Looking down through the rest of the board, your average for the week you needed to be on was about 58.88, and there was one, two, three, four, five cattle dogs, can you believe? Right in the middle of the pack, all around that mark. Uh, and down the bottom, there was a couple of King Browns who had a pretty average week. Frogman Grant and Saving Private could not find a winner everywhere anywhere, basically. Lion Tamalocky, Sideshow Sam, just above them. So it was pretty ordinary. Yeah, we've got one week to go, but in the first before we give out the first monthly medal, and uh, how's that looking at the moment, Ron? Josh will be next, courtesy of that massive round one week. He had uh he's on leading 309.2. Wynne Danielson has now skipped up the second spot on the monthly ladder, 270 neat, and in third is on Trem Wes, who has opened up the season strongly once again, Mario.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Wes has been trying really hard the last couple of years, but the problem is about halfway through the year, you know, there's all sorts of things come up, and sometimes he falls off the back of the pack. Um but early he is very strong going, really well. Nice work, Wes. I love your work, Chucky.
SPEAKER_01Yep, he is doing well. Just behind him, Erwin Geordie 245. So look, to be honest, he's 39 points in front, Joshaby. He would have to have a pretty average week. But Wynne Danielson, if he can do what he did again uh this week, next week, uh, he may be a chance at taking that title. And Wes is in there too. The others would need something pretty special, I think. So who's the first ones to get kicked out? Ron, who's going to be that next week? Well, no, as you know, we do not eliminate anyone at the end of July. We eliminate four at the end of August, and from then at the end of every month, we eliminate another four or five until we get to that top eight come May next year, just before the tour. Looking at the overall board, Josh will be next, is obviously on top. The monthly and the yearly will be the same for this first month. Uh, after Wes, so the top eight, let's just go from there. Josh will be next, Win Danielson on trend Wes. They're up the top three. Erwin Geordie Manscaped and adds. Devastating Dave, who started very well, as has Nadzy. He's been in a rich vein of form the last couple of years. They're 4'5 6. Robo's Pocket Rocket 7th. Strength and Johnner, who's uh showing a welcome return to form for the Crocs after what was a pretty ordinary year last season. He's grabbed eighth spot just in front of Highwire Will, Leber, and Cassius Paul. So there's your top ten or so, and they're looking sweet. You know, there's no problems there. But if we scoot all the way down to the bottom, and it's only three weeks in, so there's five weeks left, at least. I think there's a five-week block in August, so it'll be six weeks until we get have to eliminate the first four. Right now, though, the King Browns and the Crocs are in a world of pain because at the bottom, Zeric OB arrives. He's on 87, so Erica B needs to find some bark very quickly. Woof, woof, come on, Erika B. You can do this, man. Just above him is one of the surprises of the season thus far. Big Win Neil, who is normally right up the top on these things. He is struggling big time. 100.8. So he's in second last. And then we go to two King Browns, Frogman Grant and the skipper, saving private. Uh, they are the four swimming in red ink right now. Here's another huge surprise, though. Just above the skipper of the King Browns is the skipper of the croc. Mikkaby McKenna is in fifth last and he's only got a seven-point buffer back to saving private on 122.08. Then there's another King Brown, Metro Matt, 122.5. He's only not even half a point in front of Mikaby. Uh, he might have done very well in the open, the big fella, but he's gonna need to find something and soon uh to avoid elimination. And then Lion Tamalockie, the first of our rookies for this season. He's in a world of pain at the moment as well. Uh, but with six weeks to go, this could all change, of course. But right now, you'd rather be up the top than down the bottom.
SPEAKER_02BTB 19 Dali Ends.
SPEAKER_01Right, the Daliams for last week, three points go to Winn Danielson, two points to Water Tank Matt, one point to Craig's Carnival. After three weeks, this means our DALEM runner-up contest of the year. Josh will be next, tank Raider Jess, Winn Danielson, all on top of the ladder with three points each. In second spot, we've got Robles Pocket Rocket, Water Tank Matt, Airwind Geordie. Uh, three Wranglers doing quite well. They can't quite nail the window this year. No, they can't. They've been second all three weeks, and there's someone who's done a little bit better all three weeks. So at the moment, there's been a crocker King Brown and a shooter who have taken out the three points for the first three weeks. Uh, and in saying that, there's been nine different points grabbers, and they're like gold at this time of year.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely, mate. When you have a field of 48 people and you're picking up Dally M points early in the season, they are going to make a massive difference the deeper we go into this competition. They're the tough points to get.
SPEAKER_01They certainly are. Sandy, who's on the one points? Uh, Khalig's Carnival, Manskeeper, Naz Strength, and Jonathan, they all have one point it. Alright, for the teams for the Dally Ms at the moment, Wranglers on top 546. They're also leading the big basket bet on 8.37, just in front of the Cattle Dogs on 8.25. That's in the basket bet. In the Dally M's, the King Browns are actually in second spot. So they've got some players who are playing really well, the King Browns, but they've got others that probably need to uh lift their effort a little bit. 496 in second, the Crocs 456 third, uh, shooters 454, only a couple of points off them, and the Cattle Dogs uh bringing up the rear in that one. They have yet to have a player pick up a Dali M point, but they're not going too bad overall. Very consistent, just uh not peaking to win a week. Often goes unrewarded or undiscovered this little contest, doesn't it? It's a group two events, so it's a multiplier by two for all your THC premiership points run, and uh it makes a difference. Well, it does. Here's another little insight for free. So if you're doing no good in the baskets, that means you automatically are eliminated from the DALE M's pretty much. Well, you can't gain any further points if you are eliminated from the triple Bs. So it becomes a five times multiplier. The tipping is really important uh as far as the team points go, and if you want to be sitting there at that table, having everyone buy your Chinese food for you come the end of the tour, you shouldn't disregard this because uh if you go out of the triple B's, you pretty much go out of the DALEMs as well.
SPEAKER_02BTB19 Punter of the Year. Putty.
SPEAKER_01As usual, we had eight punters up in the saddle, two for each stable over the weekend, and I tell you what, some good results. It hasn't been a bad start from the boys. Yeah, we're in the black at the moment, the beat the ball guys, and that's a rare place that they find themselves. Uh, generally they do start the year pretty good. Last year, I think, was a bit of an anomaly, and they didn't quite get there. But this year they are going very well indeed. I think they're up 31 bucks after three weeks, so that's a positive sign. There's got some boys with some big bets on the way. No less than the shooter. Smitty Wynn, how good was he last weekend? Well, he had his bet. He had a $60 bet, so he's gone bang, bang, bang. So the guy waiting for him for a punt behind him, on one hand he's really happy. This is Major Mortar, but on the other, he's just going each week he thinks I'm up, I'm up, and uh no, Smitty Wynn keeps saying, No, you're down, you're down, stay there. I am on fire. So he backed a horse called Moon and Quartz. Any idea why he backed that, Laurie? No idea in the world, couldn't care less. The collector though, it hung on. It looked there for a second or two there, like I was in trouble. But 60 bucks at that, and he's collected 162. So how about that? The top three collects for the year so far, he's got two of them, uh 162 and 122 the week before. So Smithy Win is up next week with an $80 bet. He could put this competition to bed next week, right here, right now. And uh Benzabet here is sitting there smiling like a cherished cat. I don't know what a cherished cat smiles like, by the way, but he is just loving it. Sitting, he's brought these guys in and said, come on, we've got to make the shooters a force again. And after a sublime draft, he's got these guys firing on all fours. Win Danielson, triple B champion Smithy Win back and winners for fun.
SPEAKER_00He doesn't want to bet the old Smitty Wynn away, Jud, does he? He could bet on how long it takes a litter of paint to dry. He'd have a crack at it.
SPEAKER_01Oh, he loves those jelly bean things, they walk around and say how many jelly beans are there, and he'll study them for hours, days, months. He he takes photos even and then comes back with an answer quite often after the contest has closed. All right, so that was pretty good. Who was the other punter up for the shooters on the weekend? Oh, Joshin DeSargent, he had a crack at some NRL multis. Unfortunately, he's he's struggling to find a little bit of form these days, Joshin. Uh so he bowed out on both of those multis. We won't go into depth into them because uh it doesn't really matter. They are Did nothing. Alright, over to you, Mario. Who were your two partners up?
SPEAKER_00We had Erica B arrives, brand new cattle dog, and he had a brand new bet, and he backed that horse called Electric Arrow in uh Doom Ben, up there in Queensland. And it uh it was about a hundred to one, maybe sixty to one, eighty to one, but uh he literally had no support from no one. How to get himself to detract the poor horse. Uh he got there, but he was bugged because he did sweet. If I so uh not good for Ericabi, but he'll be back in about a month.
SPEAKER_01Alright, and who was the second bent? Uh Bet, sorry, bent. They might be a bit bent over there in the catalogs, back in 100 to 1 shots, but uh, you know, if it gets up, that's the end of the contest, pretty much. We saw a trend set of Todd do similar a few years ago. Just went bang, thank you, close to a thousand bucks. Contest over. Nobody could get him over the remaining 40 weeks or so. Yep, it does happen. And that's what I love about the punter of the year. It is strategy. Are you trying to get uh points for your team? Are you trying to back winners so you win punter of the year? Uh, you're trying to do both. I mean, some weeks you've got to do others. You don't want to wear those vests. That's the one thing everyone tries to avoid, like the plague. Uh, but that's it. On trend Wes.
SPEAKER_00He backed a horse called Hi, H O Y, on this Sunday, and he's ran second, so it said hi, and then the horse that went past us said bye, and that was it for poor old Wes. But he was close, mate. Very close indeed.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he was. I saw that race. Not bad at all. Over to the Crocs. Well, I'll take over this one, of course. Copy that condo. He had a $40 bet, and he looked like he might be going all right, Techna, he backed to win up there in Doomban. And technically, it did nothing. Uh, it actually folded like a deck of cards, which was a bit disappointing. And he had Cam Smith as the top Australian at the open. And I'll tell you on Thursday, the first day of the open, Cam was looking pretty damn good. Uh, but it will all fell apart quickly. I think Cam Smith now's missed cuts in the last six or seven majors. Uh, since he went to live, he has form has dropped off a cliff. So uh Cam Smith, uh, we'll probably see him all back in the PGA sooner rather than later, definitely by 2030, I'd imagine. Uh, Liv struggling to get anyone to pay the money after the Saudi said no more. We are just burning it for fun with this silly contest. Yeah, but John Rahm, he got about 300 million of it just to sign. Cameron Smith got 150 million. Now they all made a shitload of money. They're laughing, but all those boys back on the PGA are saying, nope, you're not coming back in, not that easy. You're gonna have to pay some penance. As they bloody well should, you know. It's like the Super League war, wasn't it, in the mid-90s for rugby league. Uh the same thing's gone on over there, and it looks like the Saudis have said, well, we give up, that's enough. We got other things on our mind. I'm sure they do with the world in the current state that it's in. King Browns, okay, Ben, what happened down there? Well, Trendsetter, Todd, he came in very late in the piece. He was looking to uh do something similar to what he did last year, and he kept his powder dry for a long, long time over the weekend. Uh Carnival copped a call about seven o'clock on Sunday night uh and Rockhampton Greyhounds, which is apparently where Todd likes to hang out whenever he gets the opportunity. A massive fan of the Rockhampton doggies, dish lickers, pan lickers, whatever you want to call them. And he took a uh all up race seven number four, Hannah's Fonzi, uh, into Dream Queen. So uh and they both did jack shit. So crudge out of Todd, he went large, it would have been a huge pay. I think they were both around 1520 to one, uh, and neither of them ran like anything better than that. Alright, General Buckley's he had a 40 buck bet. How did he go? Well, he went to the World Cup multi, as he knows he's uh he loves his EPL, he loves his world soccer uh or football or whatever word you want to call it. We all know what we're talking about when you say either. Uh, but he did no good. I think he was on the Argentinians and uh they did nothing. He had a three-legg multi, but uh boom boom, it did jack. Alright, so uh a loss of 40 there. So copy that condo on General Buckley's will drop back to 20 next time. Smidiwing goes up to 80, and then how about those Wranglers? You were shit house on the punt last year. How are they going this year, Sandy? Uh yeah, something we've tried directify through the offseason, and uh we've come in and basically carried on like we did last year. Uh Lane T Malocke, he took his first ever bets for uh the Be the Ball 19, the young fella, and uh he took a weird one to start with. He took the Rabbitors to win, but he took Ethan Strange to score two trays, um, which would have paid $39, but uh the Rabbitors did not win, of course. No, mate, they stayed in the sheds, they did nothing. You know, they were they were pretty ordinary that first half. Hey, they were, and uh, we weren't happy about that. Ethan Strange had a cracking game, but I don't think he scored a tray, but he set up a couple. Uh Robo's Pocket Rocket champion from a couple of years ago. He has won this event twice over the course of history within the beat the ball. He jumped in with a massive multi on the Sunday yesterday, and if it had got up, it would have been all over, probably for the contest for the year. Would have collected around 12, 1500. Started quite well with the uh Warriors or Lofiana Can Pereira uh for the New Zealand Hyphens, and uh he did nothing after that really. It was a bit of a weird game, that Dolphins versus Cowboys, uh, but unfortunately he's gone. Alright, so that leaves the ladder after three weeks. Smitty Win is on top. He has surge to a big lead, 226 points. He's more than 110 points in front of second. General Buckley's who, after copping that 40 points off his score for the loss of 40 bucks on the weekend, he's in second on 109. Joshaby next was the other one that we didn't cover because I left it till last, because Joshaby, he had two bets, two wins. He had England to beat France in that third place game in the World Cup, uh, which was 6-4. Why can't they do that in the real games? You know, I'm just attack, attack, attack. It's it's much more fun to watch that sort of stuff than nil all draws every second day. Yeah, I heard that they're gonna be thinking about putting 64 teams in the next World Cup. They might as well not even worry with qualifiers, just say, listen, every nation you're invited, and we're gonna run this for six months, and then we're gonna give you a break, and then we're gonna do it again, all over again. Well, it certainly is any man. You just about get a jersey just by walking past some days there. But uh Joshaby got that right, which paid nicely. And then he had an NRL three-leg anytime try scorer, uh, which Julie saluted as well. I forgot uh well I didn't, but Carnival forgot to send the uh picks out for Joshua B on Saturday. Apologies to Joshaby and the Crocs. Um things get a big hectic some days, and Saturday was definitely a hectic day. He had KO Weeks, who scored a scintillating try to score. He scored. Uh Young, uh, who also scored, and uh then he promptly did his Achilles, and uh Johnston, Alex Johnston. So uh they're the three, so well done. So he collected 102 bucks, Joshua, which sends him right up the ladder. He's on 40 bucks next week, uh, and he's now in third place overall, 82 points for the Crocs. Uh, copy of that condo after the 40-point drop. He slides back to fourth on 26 points. Uh, at the moment, I think we've still got about 20 odd punters who haven't got in the saddle. So this scoreboard will continue to be very volatile over the coming months or so, uh, six weeks, I imagine, unless Smitty Win just keeps going and uh Major Mortar, he'll just be a skeleton by the time he gets a punt. Um, and then we've got all these boys on minus 20, so the points are shifting around quite a lot for the THC Premiership, and also obviously not helping their own individual chances at winning this.
SPEAKER_00So who's in the saddle for week four, mate?
SPEAKER_01I'll take this one for you long, give you a bit of a rest. So week four for the shooters, we have next to win Neath, his first punt of the year, $20 Smitty win off that 80. The Wranglers have taught him well. That's got nothing to do with it, Bozo. He's always been a fair punter, Smitty win, and the Wranglers just got the services of Smitty. I didn't teach him jack shit.
SPEAKER_02Okay, whatever you say. I don't really mean Lottie, but I do love to see spit flowing from the corners of your mouth when you speak.
SPEAKER_01Uh for the Cattle Dogs, devastating Dave and Rainstorm Graham. They are both on the mark in the saddle at the pleat for the first team this season. They are one of the teams that haven't splitty picked a winner yet, haven't got a collect. They haven't, but they they will. They'll come good. They're never a bad punting team, is this one? And Rinstein Graham, former punter of the year, devastating Dave. I'm pretty sure he's a former punter of the year as well. So they're bringing out the big guns for this one. All right, over to your mob, the Crocs, Roger that Diva. He's in the saddle for the first team this year, 20 bucks. Josh will be next remains there quite comfortably with $40, two lobsters to play with this week. Yeah, there's uh Roger that diva. Well, he's another former champion, so there are some big guns out there this year, no doubt about it. This week, I mean. They're always there each year. Well, thank you for that, Laurie. If you just back off a fraction, leave it with me. Grunt and Growen, he has $20 for the King Browns, his new stable. Manscaper Nads, he has $20. Uh, so it could be alright there too. And the Wranglers, well, as we said, they're not going great overall. Erwin Jordy, his first punt since being uh transferred from the King Browns to the Wranglers, and Big Top Al, who's displayed some, you know, promising form early for the Wranglers. He's gonna be off $20 as well. Yeah, he's uh going been up in the top end, I noticed. Some pictures flowing through from him up there. That's right, he's been up there, but he tells me he uh takes his job very seriously. Love's been a Wrangler, and they they you Sandy, you may be able to elaborate on this. Was there a meeting where they said they want to get some intel and reconnaissance on various teams? Yeah, that meet me too. It may not be too not for me to see the skipper say Sam would decide that. All right, well, what I've heard is this, that they've split up some of their team, and Big Top Al, he went to the top end Darwin. He's been up there for a week or so uh studying Crocs and the Crocs. You know, we know no one knows where the swamp is, but I believe it may be somewhere around there, or at least one of their holiday ports. And uh he's been wrestling crocodiles for fun. Just uh because he wants to be that good for the Wranglers. Wrangling crocodiles. So he's been having a good time up there with the Crocs. Uh he he refused to go to the pounds for the cattle dogs. He's got a little thing with dogs, especially small dogs. Uh so he he decided to take on the crocs instead. And I'm not gonna tell you where the others have gone.
SPEAKER_00Well no, mate, tell us where the others have gone. Who went to see the dogs then?
SPEAKER_01Not important right now. Alright then, that's the punter of the year all done. Let's move it right along. BTB 19.
SPEAKER_02Stable Wars.
SPEAKER_01That's the sickest sounding gun I've ever heard.
SPEAKER_00Sounds like a lot of the shooters last year, mate.
SPEAKER_01Alright, let's move it right along. Stable Wars boys, how is that looking? I'll take this one again for you quickly. So Smitty Win, no doubt, has put his stable, Black Caviar Shooter Stable, on top of the ladder. They're on 226 for Stable Wars, probably no chance of getting those waiters vests. Just a wee three weeks into the season, how good are they going? Uh in second place, Woods Waterhouse for the King Browns, courtesy of General Buckley's, they're on 89 points. Daly Martin and Spice Girls, both Croc Stables, are in third and fourth. And that means that the bottom teams are all in a bit of trouble. Mickelson Hayes had a small collect there at one point early in the season with Carnival. Uh they're in fifth spot, but minus 44. Norman Cummings, minus 48 for the shooters, they're in trouble. And then we've got four teams, can you believe it, who are yet to pick a winner or a collect of any sort. Yeah, they are in a little bit spot of bother. You'd like to get one on the board early. We all know that, but the season's a long, long way from being finished. Ells Friedman and Nicola Snowden, we talked about the Cattle Dogs earlier. They haven't had a collect across their players. They're a group of ten, they have not had a collect yet. Uh, they do have some new boys in the saddle, as we said, some big guns coming in this week. They might change that. Winks for the King Browns, they are yet to register a victory, as is McElroy Waller. And we know with that stable from the Wranglers, McElroy Waller, that there's a few boys who wore those vests last year, and I'm damn sure they won't want to do it again. Yeah, Sciencehouse Sam, he's there the skipper. He'd be desperately hoping one of these boys, Anywhere, this week, may be able to do something for them. Otherwise, he might be wearing them again. High wire will, I think, had them on last year too. Alright, that's it for stable wars.
SPEAKER_02What's your prediction for the fight, then? Prediction? Yes, prediction. THC Premiership.
SPEAKER_01I noticed at the top of the show, folks, that uh there were a few changes to the premiership. And uh, after those points have gone in from the open, those Tattoo Trophy points, they've gone in. Over the next couple of months, we have a massive amount of points going in. We have the four footy comps going in, and our Real Profit Legion tipping, super coach, and the AFL tipping, they will all go in. Plus, we have two more Tattoo Trophy events coming up through September, October with the spring champion tips to competitions, which the rookies will learn about as we go along. But we have a new leader, and it's about bloody time. Good on you, King Browns. That's wonderful. King Browns, yeah. They'd only ever be leading if you turn this table upside down, mate. And uh looking at it right now in front of me, yeah, you've got a fair bit to do still. Don't worry about it, till we've got it all under control. Well, you might have, but the Crocs, the eight-time premiers since the inception of the Be the Ball back in 2009, they have hit the lead again for the first time in quite a while. They last went back to back, I think it was Be the Ball uh 14, and uh they haven't done a lot since then, uh, but they uh they're going fabulously this season, very consistent across all competitions. They are leading on two-one four-one. They have taken over from the Wranglers, who aren't used to playing second fiddle the last couple of years. Uh, but those players they lost in the draft certainly making an impact. They're second on two-one-0-4. Well, when you talk about the players that we lost at the Wranglers, you can see the shooters who are just off the pass in third on 1-9-8-2 points. Those boys that they poached from the Wranglers and the other one, Win Danielson, they took from the Crocs. He's put together a fabulous team, Benzaber, in only his second year as Skipper. They're third, and they're doing it nicely.
SPEAKER_00Don't worry about that, mate. The Kettle Dogs, we're going well. 1-8-3-7. We probably have to do a little bit more in the those Tattle Trophy competitions. Get everyone involved, get their entities in. Uh, but we're going okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're not far off the pace. So you're within about 300 points of the lead. But that can be chewed up fairly quickly in these first six months of the season in particular. And the King Brown, surprisingly, won 7-7-8. I think they've got the same old problems that they've always had, Ben, and that is they've got a handful doing really well, and a handful that are not doing so well at all. It's been a problem for years. We've got our top five or up there with anyone in the competition. We saw that in the player draft. You get to the bottom five, and uh there's a big gap, and and right now, I'd like the skipper to do a fraction more as well. Saving Pravit. He seems woefully out of form at the moment. He was probably celebrating that big Broncos victory over the weekend, but that's where we're at in the THC Premiership. Crocs on top. Captain Croc, Mikabi McKenna. Very happy with that indeed.
SPEAKER_02BTB 19 MVP and Club Championship.
SPEAKER_01Right, quickly looking over the MVP and club champion races now. So they're the first Tattoo Trophy points that have gone in, as we know. So this has changed up the MVP overall ladder and club champion race. Uh, obviously, the more points you got in that Tattoo Trophy event the open, the more points you're gonna have in the MVP overall and uh not so much a club champion. It does not count Tattoo Trophy events. So the MVP overall right now, Joshua B next. What odds would you have got him sitting on top of the ladder for 27 points as the overall MVP?
SPEAKER_00Well I tell you, Mickey B. McKenna, he has looked at him a couple of times over the years and thought, do I cut Josh Luce? Great decision not to. And Joshua went straight back there as the number one draft pick this season, and he is performing like he should not be in that draft again.
SPEAKER_01He certainly is. If anyone's putting their hand up at this early stage to be a marquee player, it's Josh Abby next. Wynne Danielson has absolutely soared up that ladder. He is now in second spot for those shooters, inspired no doubt, Laurie, by having his mates come over there. Yeah, no doubt indeed. Winn Danielson was he seems a little bit lost at the Crocs there last year as far as form went. But now that we've got next to Win Nate and we've got Smitty win over there, and even Clarke Miyagi, uh, another bloke from the same uh area and group of mates. Uh, I'll tell you what, he is on fire. Winn Danielson leading us uh 392.5 points second overall. He is, and how about this? Another one from that uh cohort, shall we say? Erwin Geordie. His first year with the Wranglers did not a lot any, let's be honest, over at the King Browns. Did not a lot. We didn't even know he was there until that uh hat came along to the tour. It was a wonderful snake hat. I believe he's going to burn that. It's already ready to uh burn that. He's uh he was uh cut loose by the King Browns and not happy about it, and his early season form is absolutely outstanding. That it is third spot, 353.5. That trifecta would be 10,000 to one if he had said before we uh did a tipping contest to put a tip in in anger uh to have Joshua B next wing Daniel Son and Erwin Geordie on top. So they're the the top three is the MVP in these early stages. Ericaby arrives down the bottom for the Cattle Dogs, he's he's going in everything, he's having a red hot crack, he's just not finding any winners at the moment. He's right down the bottom of the saving private and Mikka B. McKenna, two of the longest-serving skippers in the beat the ball, both been involved in that role for many years, uh, and they are struggling big time. All right, club championship, uh, very similar. Joshaby next on top, Win Danielson Manscaped, and Nads is third in that one. So Nads are doing really well in the main pillar events and group two events like the DLMs and Stable Wars. Are they your top three? 392 for Joshaby, 355 Win Danielson, 332 Manscaper Nads. Erwin Geordie just outside that. Copy that condo. Uh great pickup for the Crocs. Uh, he's doing very well. Diva Dave always does well. Carnival and Robo's pocket rocker for the Wranglers, uh, round out that top seven or eight or so. Uh, we might as well have a quick look at the Tattoo Trophy as well while we're in there. Now that our first event is in. So, on top of that, right now, of course, is Metro Matt on 43 points. Roger that Diva, who ran second, he gets 42 try hard to cut points and Tattoo Trophy points. So he is going very well there for the uh Crocs, uh, Grand Slam winner. So he's been there before. Not I think he did win the Tattoo Trophy a couple of years ago. Uh it's generally one that has evaded him, but he started this season very well. Smitty win third in 41, uh, and right down to the boys who didn't get any selections in for the open, bringing up the rear in the Tattoo Trophy.
SPEAKER_02Tattoo trophy footy comps.
SPEAKER_01Alright, gents, we've got three competitions, four competitions entering their final phases for the season this season. Just seven weeks to go on the NRL, around the same for the AFL. What did we think of the uh NRRL results and games on the weekend, lads? I was quite disappointed with that first game, Panthers, Broncos. It was pouring rain, field wasn't great, but the Broncos, what an upset. That was 14-12, and tipsters all over the country were crying into their beers. My goodness. Yeah, it was, and Mads did what Mads should have done uh last year. They weren't winning that competition last year until Reese Walsh was allowed to take the reins and Adam Reynolds was off the field. Uh same thing happened the other night. If Reese Walsh touches that ball three or four times a set, the Broncos are a different beast. Ezra Mam then runs off the back of that, and they can really make a run for these finals in saying that they've got to win pretty much every game, or not far off it, uh, and whether they've left themselves too much too late, but uh at least Madge Maguire has finally seen the light. Uh Reese Walsh is one of the most damaging players in the competition, and nothing makes you tired, quicker, fatigued, uh mentally, when that happens, when you've got a player who just keeps coming at you and you do not know what he is going to do. Yeah, they were pretty good the Broncos average game though. The second game, Sharks Knights, 2018. That was a much better game.
SPEAKER_00The Sharkies held on, although the Knights scored more tries. Yeah, mate, uh Calen, Ponga, Pinger Ponger. He could not get a ball to go through those sticks, mate. Uh and he needed that, but other than that, he plays very well.
SPEAKER_01Well, he's in the same boat pretty much as Reese Walsh's, isn't he? Uh and the Broncos, dare I say it, are starting to turn into one of those teams where uh they're dependent on one, two, maybe three tops players. Uh and the Knights have always been that with Ponga, let's not beat around the bush. But the Sharkies got the job done, and uh they don't have too bad a run in, and they've had a pretty good season again. They're only one win shy of making the grand final the last year or two. Uh they were alright. They're gonna be there for a long way. Whether they can get over that final hurdle was yet to be seen. Then we had the Roosters up against the storm, and what a boring piece of bludge game this was. It was awful. 14-6. Yeah, but the storm they've got about five million players out. It was pretty obvious when they came out there that they were just gonna try and tackle the roosters to death and bore them to death. And they did their very best to do it, and the roosters only just got over the top of them. Well, there is that question mark on the roosters, isn't it? When it gets right down to the nitty-gritty at the end of the year, are they gonna be able to roll these bigger teams? I mean, I don't think they've beaten the storm for about 18,000 years, had they, until the other night. And and let's be honest, they had Munster out, they had Hughes out to Storm, uh, and they were down to Harry Grant and Swaffa Mongo Gongo uh down at the back. And uh apart from them, there wasn't a whole lot that the Storm could offer. I don't see the Storm making the finals. I've said that for quite a while. Um, but I'm not sure, I'm not completely sold on the roosters yet. Book, book, book! That was very good, Mario.
SPEAKER_00Thank you. I have been working on it.
SPEAKER_01Raiders rabbitows. This was a cracking game. Uh it was supposed to be wet down there in Canberra too on Saturday afternoon, but uh it certainly wasn't br brilliant sunshine. But those rabbitos, they refused to come out of the shed. Well, they came out with their bodies, but they're their minds, hearts, and souls. They stayed in there till half time. I I wouldn't be surprised if Big Wayne O gave them a rev up in the sheds there at halftime. Uh they were much better in the second half, but the damage had been done by then. 34-24. It certainly had. Uh the Raiders, uh, they've been hot and cold, you know, last year's Mina premiers. They have suffered a massive injury, uh, which may well put an end to their season, talking about players who caddy teams. Yeah, that's right. The Achilles injury to Hudson Young, who was excellent for the Blues this season. We all know he's got a bit of MAD in him, Hudson, uh, and they're gonna miss that, the Raiders, because he also scores tries for fun, and uh he he's always going a million miles an hour. So that's gonna be a a big loss for the green machine down there in uh Raiderville. Uh the next game on Saturday was the Warriors and the Dragons.
SPEAKER_00And I thought the Dragons, mate, they were desperately unlucky, these boys. They play great football, and the Warriors could barely get over the top of them, mate.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, conditions over there in Kiwi Land are rarely dry, uh, but there was about as dry as it gets for for New Zealand. And the Warriors, their attack was about as dry as you get. Dry as a cracker it was. Uh and the dragons, those young fours, they continue to impress me. There's four or five you think will play Origins. At some point, you know. Even the last one on uh Pacific Itonga, he has been playing outstanding rugby league, big young prop. And uh the Warriors had a few things go their way, let's be honest. And uh the Dragons have been playing pretty well, which leads us to the next game, and one team that is uh glad that the Dragons have only won two games uh and they were lucky enough to win five early in the season. And that's your Mobron. Oh, Tigers, they've gone back to wooden spoon tigers. 32 Blotto to the Bulldog.
SPEAKER_00Go your doggies, woof, woof, doggy, doggy, doggy.
SPEAKER_01Yes, well, uh I certainly you looked at that team, they uh they've said I don't know if they're even trying. Although Big Twally, Alex Twoll score one try in four thousand six hundred and eleven first grade games. Uh he got a bit of a wind up him, and I've never seen Twally so angry. It's just not normally in his game. Now I've been watching him for a long time, Alex Twell, and you know, he uh the only thing that uh only time he's ever been that dirty was when God handed out hair because uh Twally thought he may have got a bit much. Uh but I tell ya, he that guy from Canterbury Bankstown, and we all know uh Ricky Stewart, sticky, he uh had an opinion on him a few years ago.
SPEAKER_00The weak gutted dog, I believe he called him, and uh that's what uh the player that got up Twally's nose on in his beard, you know.
SPEAKER_01He did, and uh Alex Troll was giving him the death stare, uh, and still wanted to blue him after it. So whatever happened in there has set Alex off. And uh as I said, over many years of first grade football, never seen that in him, but he wanted to uh really carry on with it. Didn't matter though, 32 blood, uh what are you gonna do? You know? Can the Bulldogs go to the finals? They probably can, but would they do any damage in there? I doubt it. They're one of those there's probably four or five teams that may make that seventh or eighth spot like most years, but really when they get there are they gonna do much?
SPEAKER_00No, mate, they won't, but what about those Seagles?
SPEAKER_01Oh, talking about, you know, injuries and just dead set heartbreak. Big turbo. He looked it looked fairly innocuous, let's be honest. He slid over at one point, uh legs out, and uh he just got up and motioned to the sideline and said, I'm off. He's snapped a hamstring again. I mean, he's hamstring issues and plagues. You talk about return on investment for players missing games, uh, Turbo the last five years, you know, for a guy on a million plus a year, uh you're not getting much return there, are you?
SPEAKER_00No, mate, but those Titans, they got them 38, 32, and a few tipsters, they loved it, mate.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it was one of those games you looked at and thought the Titans haven't been playing that bad the last month, and uh they're a big chance up there at home, and it was uh again a pretty dry day, and uh they did did the job on the Seagulls. Seagulls raced out to an early lead and the Titans just said no, off you go. Speaking of early leads, uh, what about the Dolphins Cowboys game? The Cowboys jumped out to 10-nil after about the same amount of minutes, and you just thought that this is all you know, the Dolphins who'd lost 66 nil the week before to the Sharks. You just saw oh the Dolphins still haven't come out of that stupor. Like they they barely scored a point for a team that's one of the best attacking teams in the competition. Uh, but they flew home the Dolphins. Once they got a little bit of ball, a bit of field position, 36-16. It was blown out a little bit late with a couple of softy strides. Uh, but the Cowboys, they're one of those teams that are hot and cold. On their day, if things go their way, I think they can, you know, do some damage in the finals. I think they'll be there. Uh but I I don't know where would you attack them, Sandy, if you were attacking this Cowboys team. I think it was for there for all to see yesterday. You just attack them through the middle, especially once Tel Malolo's off the field. Uh their forwards aren't good enough to win this competition. I just that's just the way it is. I'm trying to think of something nice to say about it, but there's not. Uh I would just be attacking through dummy half and one off the ruck. I thought Jeremy Marshall King for the Dolphins was a little bit under the weather with his game yesterday. They should have been attacking that cowboys, they were making yards for fun. Just going out of dummy half and one off the ruck and getting back in there behind the markers. Um so I I like the Dolphins. They're gonna need their halfback though. They can't win this competition unless I see a catalog in there. Uh, their attack for the first you know 30 minutes yesterday was disgraceful, let's be honest. Uh, but Schneider, I don't think he is anywhere near the answer they need. Alright, so that was all the NRL, and as you know, we all most of us follow the NR Rule, so that's why we had a quick look at that. So looking at the actual ladders in a second, because we need to talk about something first. Now, the tipsters, the beat the ballers, as you know, this year there are three jokers that you can play in the NRL tipping comp and AFL tipping comp. And these are strategic bonuses, and if you can get the actual right margin in a game as well, you get a bonus point there. So this is the time of year where the ladder starts to go berserko. No other word for it. And there was no less than about a dozen guys who played their joker on the weekend. Now, was it their first joker, their second joker, or their third joker? That's the whole beauty of this contest. So strengthen Johnner, who's been out in front, and one gets the feeling he may have played at least two, if not all three, Jokers up there on top. He's on top on 121. Win Danielson played a Joker, got 12 points. So that's six points. He got six right, and that was doubled. So he's in equal second with Barnes' boy Dave, who played a Joker as well. They're on 109. Metro Matt played his and he's into 108. So if you haven't played a Joker, boys, here's another insight for you into the tipping. Once you put your tips in, you then go back to league. You look at the top of the screen and you hit league, and then you'll see that how many jokers you have remaining in uh the league section of the website there. And you just click on that when you want to play your joker. You're absolutely crazy if you do not play all three Jokers this season and you're letting your own team down and the THC Premiership team that you're in on the tour. Yeah, it's one of those like blasphemy, isn't it? It's one of those things you can't play your jokers, everyone. You've got seven rounds to go, and it's time to get those jokers out and play them at some stage. Do not forget, because they're double points every time.
SPEAKER_00It's a good competition, but mate, I'm looking at Dukesro, Daniel. He got 14 last week. So he picked seven out of eight, doubled fourteen, and he's gone from about mid-table up into the top five or six. He is on fire, Dukes Raw. Got you a good tick, buddy.
SPEAKER_01Yep, he is, he's another one. Uh, and the top score for the week without a joker was Benza Bear who got eight. Now, normally I think you get two bonus points if you pull a pick a full round. So I'm thinking Benza Bear's got seven winners there and may have picked the margin in the margin game where you have to enter how many you think the team will win by. Um, so Benz is up there on 99. He's leading the skippers as far as the tipping goes. Uh, down the bottom of the NRL tipping ladder, let's have a look because a lot of the rookies have jumped in. And as we said earlier, some points are better than no points as far as these competit contests go, and Tattoo Trophy events in particular. Klucky Miyagi's in there, uh, so is Big Top L Lion Tamer Lockheed and Liam. And some of those boys who are new into it can transfer their tips over. They've already been tipping on the site, and they just then joined the league. Uh, and it was good to see uh Liam is starting to make a move. Spinsmith Liam. So he brought his tips over, obviously, and he's there earning some points. Uh same goes for the AFL. In the AFL, again, there was about a dozen guys who played their jokers. Strenson John is still leads, but only by three points now. Roger that on 140. Big Win Neal was a huge mover in this table last week. He got six right, doubled 12 points. He's now in third on 1-3-8. The best uh players to use their Joker last week and really profit from them. Uh, we had four or five of them who got 14 points. So they got seven of the nine winners right in the AFL, and they were major mortar. Erika B arrives there. There's one for the big fella. Win Danielson yet again. We've said that name a lot today. And big top Al. There's a rookie. He may well get rookie of the year, and we've got quite a field in that event this season. Yeah, and then of course, uh, we've got the NR Real Profit Legion. Uh, not a lot will happen with that until we get to the finals and the top eight's decided, top four, uh, and then the DLM Awards. So that's another one that'll go on top of these. Supercoach, well, it is getting extremely interesting there. Uh, for the boys who love their fantasy footy, Frogman Grant has been on fire for most of this season. It's got to be said he has been going great, guns, and he is leading still as we go over and have a look into this league. So there's 36 starters in this one. Frogman Grant's out in front on 25,000, 942. So he's about uh close to a thousand points, a hundred points, sorry, in front of uh Nate Nads. I think he's the carryover champion too Manscober Nads. He's in second, Iron Will third, and uh then we go down to Keno Carnival. Uh it's tight, there's seven rounds to go, not many trades left. But again, boys, get a team into it to at least get a point or two from you because we're looking at the bottom of this now, and uh there's Lion Tamer Lockheed and Big Top Al have joined this contest, so they'll get at least three three points for their team. Might not sound like much. Don't forget the THC premiership was decided by less than 17 points only two or three years ago when the Cattle Dogs took it out from the King Browns. So uh it's a chance to get in there, make some points, and make sure you use your trades, boys, uh, and trade wisely.
SPEAKER_02You you lay off that catch up game. Women we can lay. BTB 19.
SPEAKER_01What's next, baby? Jeez, we're all business today, no mucking around here, eh? Not much time for shenanigans. No, the Monday ones are all about information, getting it out to the boys. We are gonna make a few tweaks to the podcast as we go along. This is the early bird podcast for the weekly result packs, of course. Uh, and some of the boys love listening to it, so uh we'll just keep getting it out there. There's a lot to get through each week, and we're doing it as quickly as we can. So what is up next, Sandy? Do you know? Well, this week on the lawn, we have our first monthly medal winner in the trip, will be so uh it that'll be interesting, and then we have a massive August on the way. That we do. Thank you for the reminder. So August is when we all start to vote on our destination for the Be the Ball 20th anniversary tour. It's going to be huge. So we'll go through the nomination and then declare where we will be going. So the nomination process is quite simple. Everyone nominates where they would like to tour. Uh, it's Australia only, it is not overseas. Uh, and we'll continue on with some more details to you early in the new month. I can't wait, mate. There's so many good places to go. Have you heard any so far at all, Ben? That people are talking about? Well, I do know that uh Darwin has been discussed. Uh, it has in the past, of course, a few times, and uh there's a new one that's popped up over on the west coast of Australia. Oh, Perth. They've been wanting to go poor old Walk's been wanting to go there for twenty years. Uh, it's not necessarily Perth. It might be one of the surprises. All right, alright, don't give too much away. So that will be in August, and then in September we have a stack of tattoo trophies winding up and beginning and going through September, October. And in October, of course, we will decide on the name of our new team to be entered in the BTB 20 competitions to mark our anniversary year, the logo and all that stuff. So heaps on the way. Uh, thank you for listening in, boys. Gotta get going. I hope we haven't bore the shit out of you too much. Yeah, sorry about that. Not much fun today, fellas. We're just getting through all the stuff, but uh, I've got a few things up my sleeve I might bring in next month. Uh, it's not some of that only fans crap again, is it? No, no, no. I won't be showing any more of those photos after what happened last time.
SPEAKER_00Okay, thank you, boys. Can I go on now? I've got a job interview again this afternoon.
SPEAKER_01What happened with the last one, the lollipop one, that lasted three hours.
SPEAKER_00I told you, mate, it was an accident. I didn't realise that I was facing the kids and telling them to stop or go, and the cars just kept coming. It was a pure accident, mate.
SPEAKER_01Alright, alright. Just uh do your best at this next one. Can I ask what it's for, Mario?
SPEAKER_00No, you mate not. This is something I've never done before. I'm a little bit nervous about.
SPEAKER_01Alright, alright. Good luck at the interview. Thank you, fellas, be the ball. Uh we will be back on Thursday with the weekend preview. Well, not us, but the weekend preview will be coming out to you. Well done, Metro Matt. First Tattoo Trophy uh event winner for this Be the Ball 19 season declared. Uh and have a great one, fellas. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, be the ball.
