SPEAKER_04Hello, hello, hello, gentlemen of the Beatle Ball Tour, and how exciting is today, fellas. Hey, we announce where we'll be touring for the 20th anniversary tour.
SPEAKER_03Who would have thought of mate? 20 years! My goodness, and I have not changed a bit. I was looking in the middle earlier, and I said to myself, man, you are a good looking hunk, mate.
SPEAKER_02Oh jeez, you're full of shit, mate. You have age bet worse than any of us except maybe Ben, but no one really knows how old Ben is.
SPEAKER_04Shove it up your ass, Laurie. I'm as old as I want to be and as young as the woman I feel.
SPEAKER_01Aren't you married to a lady that's at least eighty-five years old?
SPEAKER_04Yes, but uh maybe not feeling her.
SPEAKER_01I'm damn sure she won't be feeling you. Have a look at you. You bleak with a good decent hug.
SPEAKER_04No, I wouldn't. I may be sinewy, but man, I'm strong, tough as tungsten. I don't know what tungsten is, but I'm sure it's uh I thought it was a little town out the back of somewhere. But anyway, uh big weekend of rugby league. We also had the racing everywhere and the competitions, they are starting to level out a little bit. We're nearly through all the punters first rounds. Uh we had three punters who got up on the weekend, so we've we've been collecting quite well, and that you can tell the whole strategy of the punter of the year has changed a little. Uh what did anything exciting catch your eye on the weekend boys? What did you get up to?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I didn't do a lot really. I watched the Bangladeshi spank Australia. My goodness, how embarrassing is that? You know, if you're a West Tigers fan and you go for Australia in the cricket, you've had a miserable weekend, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Probably had a miserable fifteen years apart. We we we've won a fair bit of cricket, I suppose, but uh yeah, no, they were just awful, the little Bangladeshi butf buggers. They just uh absolutely kicked our asses. Yeah, wasn't one of our best tests, that's for damn sure, and with a massive twelve months coming up on the cricketing calendar, it was not the way to begin. What about those poor buggers in Darwin? They get cricket once every quarter of a century, and uh they get served up that dribble. Well, the only good spot that came out of that, I suppose, is Cameron Green finally getting some runs. Uh he has been likened to Mitch Mars a little bit in some quarters as the great white whale. You know what I mean? How many times did Mitch Mars uh get dropped and then reinstated into the Australian team? And Cameron Green was starting to look like a bit of a white elephant, but uh he got got a test ton. Good for him. Uh Bangladesh in Darwin. I don't know where that goes on the Richter scale of tons, but at least he's getting runs. A lot more than most of them can be said.
SPEAKER_03I think Manus uh Lasagna, he's in a bit of trouble, mate. He's been gone for a fair while now and he he has not been producing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, there's him and another one, Jake Weatherold up at the top, but uh there doesn't seem to be any batters coming through. I don't know who do they replace him with. Uh maybe bring some boys out of retirement.
SPEAKER_02I'd put the pads on tomorrow, get out there. I've got all my stuff still waiting there, pressed, ready to go, and uh if I get the call up, I will give it everything I can. Uh you were the cops with pads on my goodness, it's a different era, Lurry, and uh you were definitely not welcome in it. Maybe not today, but uh you know, you never know when that call might come.
SPEAKER_04All right, rugby league. Uh there were some big results on the weekend and some, you know, really disappointing efforts in teams. Uh I thought that uh I didn't think the Dragons-Tigers game was that bad a game actually, entertainment-wise, but uh no spoon ball there. But the Broncos, my lord, talking about teams in trouble, uh they are a chance at winning the wooden spoon. You don't win the wooden spoon, that just gets put on you, and uh I tell you, they were pretty damn average. Those warriors are looking good. They are big and strong and tough, and they bash the crap out of most teams at the moment. They're forwards. How would you love to be a halfback playing behind them?
SPEAKER_03Well not Luke Metcalf, mate. He did his hamstring kicking for goal. I saw that and my goodness. He and Tommy Toby, they should move in together, mate, you know? Uh they can take it in turn, someone can hobble to the shops, someone can do the uh hobble to the mailbox, do whatever they need to.
SPEAKER_02I don't think they use any of them anymore, but uh they get it all delivered, but yeah, he's in a bit of trouble.
SPEAKER_04How will the dragons be feeling? That's a decent question, you know. They're spending up to up to a million is a reported number that they're giving Luke Metcalf, and I I believe the figures are, and don't quote me on these, but he's played six or seven years of first grade. So let's call it 150 games that you could play in those years, not counting finals, and he's played 43, something like that. He just keeps getting injured, so uh I don't know. I don't know if it's going to be money well spent, but there are a few teams out there paying a shitload of money to players that don't get on the field that often. Uh some of the other results on the weekend, the Bulldogs, they have lost their bark, Mario. What's going on?
SPEAKER_03Well, they're like little puppies at the moment, mate. I tell you, the rabbit toes. How how does a bulldog get beat up by a little rabbit, mate, a bunny? And they just slap them around, and uh, I tell you what, their bulldog is the doggy doggy doggies, we're in a bit of trouble, I think.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I think whoever meets that eat spot on the ladder, they're they're probably gonna need a miracle to do something. Well, the other big result was right at the top of the round, and the score was 12-6 Roosters over Panthers. And my goodness, it I I normally blow up at games at that score line, you know, you fall asleep, it's just boring as batshit. Uh but it was a hell of a game, that one. It was with the intensity of a qualifying final that and uh the Panthers got rolled by the Roosters for the second time in about 35 years, and uh you know if you're a Panthers fan, you're starting to worry a little bit. Uh yo, baby, no longer there. Uh so he has and their forward pack, I don't know. I I don't know if the Roosters can win either. I think it could be anyone's competition. It's certainly looking that way. There's teams everywhere that could do something. Um you look at the Sharks and you say, is this going to be the year they get to the finals and actually look like they can win it? You know what I mean? They've been the had the benefit of some soft draws over the years, but they lost at home to the leaders, but more importantly, they've lost their six. He's gone. And uh I does is Nick all good enough to carry him over the lane? Because if it's a dislocated shoulder, which we all believe it is, that could be long term, and even if they get him back on the park, there's a danger of it going straight away. Yeah, they are they're underwhelming the last couple of weeks. You've got to wonder, but at this time of year, some of the teams go into a three-week preseason window where they go and train like they do in preseason. They know they're in the finals, uh, and so they're a little bit leg heavy by the time they hit the field. Now, Penrith are renowned for doing this. Uh, I thought they may have come out of it last weekend, uh, but looking at the other night, uh I tell you one thing is gonna do butt for the Panthers is they they've played some tough games the last couple of weeks, the Warriors and the Roosters. They are gonna be hard match fit and primed, and you'd be riding them off at their peril. Alright, can we just get on with this other stuff? You know, I I was out all weekend and uh had a lovely wan fair and uh doing some other things around the garden, and I just want to get on with it. I've got stuff to do. Alright, fair enough. Let's go. Big basketballs, triple B's. Alrighty, so the triple B's on the weekend were held at Rose Hill, Caulfield, not the inner track, thank goodness, and Doomban, I believe, from memory on the weekend. And uh boys, there were some good performances. Those Cattle Dogs, Mario, doing very, very nicely this early in the season. Week seven run and done. We are two weeks away from our first elimination, where we say sonara to four of our be the ballers in the triple B tipping for this season.
SPEAKER_03Yes, mate, uh, we had a tie at the top in the week. Librag writes Gary Stuff and Craig's 80s too, mate. They both got to 132 pointer one zero points. So they split the gold points for their week, and the cattle dogs, woof woof, Lebai, I love your work, mate. They are doing very well.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, they are nicely going along this year. We'll get to the uh yearly one in a little bit. Uh third for the second for the week. Well, first and second were tied, so it's technically third, but anyway, Carnivals chuck it in the silver. Strength and Johnnah, 107.1. He's had a welcome return to form for the Crocs after a couple of years in the doldrums, really. He looked like he was falling off the planet there for a little while, off a cliff, you know, strength and johnna. He was a really good player in his first three, four seasons with the beat the ball. The Crocs kept him on. Mirkaby must have been tempted to cut him loose after last season. That was back to back seasons of mediocrity, shall we say. But this year, Strength and Johnna, he has his name at the top of the leaderboards everywhere.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's probably got uh, you know, five thousand staff now, and he's not probably cruising around as much as he was.
SPEAKER_04Uh, you know, it's it's a cost of living might be biting a little bit for Strength and Johnna, and he instead of going away every week, you know, to the Maldives or the Caribbean or, you know, even up to Brisbane, uh, he likes to get up there and Gold Coast and all around there. He's I think he's a member at every major stadium across the Southern Hemisphere.
SPEAKER_02And uh anyway, he's got a little bit more time at home, obviously, and uh twiddling his thumbs. 107.1, very good for the week.
SPEAKER_04Yep, and there was another croc, one also that needed a big week. He was in a world of pain, and he hates not leading from the front, the man. Mickey McKenna, this is the skipper. He had his best week of the season by an absolute street 106.5. He just nutted out Major Mortar for uh that third spot, which is technically fourth, so he doesn't get any DM points, I'm sure we'll get to that. Uh so Major Mortar and Barnes, his boy Dave Clark, Imiagi, all had massive weeks, uh, just over a hundred or just under one hundred. Rhinestone Graham's up there again. Um so looking at the say the top dozen or so in the weekly brag ride, so it was dominated by the shooters. They had five in there, uh, and the Cattle Dogs had three, as did the Crocs. A rough week for the Wranglers and the King Browns. Uh, monthly medal with two to go. Rhinestone Graham sitting on top for the Cattle Dogs, 270.1. He has a 16-point lead over brother, Barnes' boy Dave. Uh, he is a shooter from way back. And uh, I don't know if he's ever played for another club for probably the last seven or eight years, the team I should say, Barnesy's boy Dave, uh 254.9, going along very nicely in beat the ball 19. Gold digger Gaverby, he's just uh not even a point behind there in third spot. So looking at the monthly medal with a couple to go, uh the uh Rhinestone Graham's obviously the one to catch, but there's probably eight or so, all within about 25 points. So that is on like Donkey Kong, that one. Uh, and we go over to the yearly leaderboard and uh how are we looking there, Laurie? Yeah, Gold Digger Gaverby still doing it out in uh in front.
SPEAKER_02Easy. It must burn the Wrangler skipper sideshow Sam every time he sees Gold Digger up there. He loves Gaverby. Uh and uh, you know, he he cries every time Mick says no no I'm gonna pick him to be a croc. And so he's going along nicely, 595, but the gap has been narrowed.
SPEAKER_04Rhinestone Graham. Oh, return to the glory days for the big fella.
SPEAKER_03Oh yes, mate, and they took the cattle dogs. It's the way the cattle dogs, the family vibe they get, and and they just drag the best out of each other, mate. And Rhinestone Graham, uh, Grand Slam winner. I think I have to say that every time I say his name. Is that correct, Ron?
SPEAKER_04I don't know if you technically it's uh contracted to say that every time, but it never hurts to throw in that he's a Grand Slam champion. Put it that way. It's a bit like Damian Cook, mate. Did you know he was a beach splinter?
SPEAKER_03A champion, beach sprinter.
SPEAKER_04No, no idea. Haven't heard that for at least another you know week or two. Uh but here, Rhinestone Graham on fire. Robbo's pocket rocket, he's also on fire now. He has won punter of the year twice before. Uh, we're in the tipping. Tipping has never traditionally been his strong suit, but he's up there in third spot, and he's the only Wrangler within QE uh of that in that top eight. And I'm gonna run through the rest of that top eight very quickly. So Golddigger Gavy, Rhinestone Graham, Robbo's pocket rocket, Joshaby next. Uh now he had that massive week in week one, and he is slowly slipping down that ladder at the moment. So I'm sure uh the coach, Mikaby, he'll be in there, you know, pumping up his son and saying, Come on, Joshaby, come on, Joshaby, dig deep, son. Dig, dig, dig, dig deep. I'm not sure if Joshaby will understand what he's saying. Uh, you'll probably go and grab a shovel or something similar. But anyway, Wynne Danielson, he's in fifth, Manscaper Nad sixth, Major Mortar seven, and Barnes's boy Dave eight. They round out our top eight, and there's three shooters in that bottom four, and they are playing extremely strongly.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they're going really well. Winn Danielson's having a good year.
SPEAKER_04He was had a bit of a down year last year as far as the comps went. Major Mortar, you know, he's still burning from the fact he wasn't picked as a marquee. He loves saying to people, I'm pleased to meet you, Major Mortar marquee. Uh, but he can't say that anymore.
SPEAKER_02Uh Barnes' boy Dave. Well, Cambo, he's our tour photographer, everyone knows him. Uh, they might not be able to put a face to a name, quite literally at times.
SPEAKER_04Uh, but uh he's in there and he's having another tremendous season. The Campbell brothers are, you know, they're going very strongly, these two uh experienced players. Alright, as we look over at the teams for this event, the catalogue's a clean pair of heels or hooves, shall we say. 861 out in front. Shooters 777, nicely sitting there, one out, just uh just off the pace, going very nicely. Wranglers, they've pushed their way up into third on this uh they're up on the fence. They're they're looking for a run coming to home straight, which is a long, long way away, mind you, 4,100 metres. Uh they're going well, 750, Rock 663, and the King Browns are having an absolute Barry Crocker to start with, or Joe Cocker, you take your choice. Uh, out of the bottom four, because now we go down to the Red Sea, the Red Inc, which terrifies everyone, especially this early in the season. That's a bit like Survivor, isn't it? The television short. Nobody wants to be the first ones out. Uh so at the moment, uh there there's Corporal Crowbar, fourth last. He's on 298 or 289, whatever. No, 298. And below him, Frogman Grant, who likes a Rafi, you know, fair dinkum. You could you take him to a talent contest of of ladies dressed in bikinis and he'd take the ugly one down the end. I shouldn't say that, should I? No, uh he probably wouldn't, but he does like a Rafi. Uh Nicobi raising. What the hell is going on there? This man is supposed to be good with numbers. My God, I tell you what, he is in a world of pain early, and Mikaby will be pulling his hair out, and probably his own hair as well. Uh saving Priva. I don't know. Is is he feeling all right, Ben? I don't know with a skipper. He seems to be very tardy this year, and uh maybe he's in need of a you know a bit of freshen up somewhere, but uh to be running last this early, uh he's gone the single digit uh the four, I believe it is, for the season start, and and it has not come off. Yeah, but you can't write it off too quick because he only needs one good week with that number four, and we've all seen in the past that one massive week can give you 200 points. Uh, with picking a number, you get the double points right and whatever. So none of these guys are out of it, but they've got two two weeks. They've got to shake a leg and get going. Eric of he arrives just above them on 303, and Warwick Farm Fellow just above him on 308. So a couple of cattle dogs there are also staring down the barrel of oblivion as far as the triple B's go. If you don't mind, I'd just like to give a quick state rundown. You know, just funny, it'll only take ten seconds.
SPEAKER_02So the best in the state for Sydney on the weekend, uh, and that was at Rose Hill, were Craig's Craig's his 80s dude and Girias Stuff. They both scored 94.6.
SPEAKER_04Oh, in Melbourne, the top score was uh 41.2, I believe, and there it is there. Grunt and growing. Yeah, he's produced something out of nowhere there. He had a lot of tens there. He's given a lot of tens, sevens. Uh, that's pretty much all he took. But uh he started off with a 12.7 into an 18.4, so very good there. And in uh Brisbane, oh Mickaby McKenna absolutely knocked it out of the park. It wasn't double points. Sydney was double points, so that's why they were so big up there for Craigsy and Girias. But Mickey McKenna up there in Brisbane, he just wailed them 58.1 points, so very good. Well, don't mind that, thank you. Yeah, some blokes need to be put up in lights for how well they went in each state. So we'll get on with it. Let's move over to the DALEM, shall we? Voice over dude, where are you? BTB 19 DallyMs. So our three points for the week was split uh with the two points. So the five, three plus two equals five divided. So crazy 80s, dude, and Giriya stuff. They take home two and a half points each from the weekend, and one point, of course, went to Strength and Jonna. So our letter for the DallyMs after seven weeks, Gold Digger Gavy out there in front on six. He's had two gold level weeks. Robo's pocket rocket remains in second by himself, Robinson Crusoe, four. And then we have three boys on three, four boys on three, sorry. Ryan Stone Graham, Josh will be next. Tank rider, Jason Windanielson. They're all on three. So at the moment, we've got not quite half the field who have picked up Dali M points. So we're getting to that balancing act now where first eliminations also mean that you can't get any more DLEM points, aren't we?
SPEAKER_02Oh yeah, too right. We are looking at it now.
SPEAKER_04If you're on zero points and you get cut, hey, you've got no hope of getting anything for the team in triple B's or Dali M's. And you know, that's a big anchor for teams to carry. So you don't want to be losing too many players early, especially if they haven't managed to get themselves up that DLM leaderboard somewhere. You've got to, you know, you want at least one point if you can very, very shortly. Okay, so we look over at the uh monthly medal. We've already looked at that. Josh would be won last month. Uh so far, if we look at the teams event for the Dally M's, uh the Crocs uh are running last, 447. Just above them, one point shooters on 448, so it's pretty tight. Uh Wrangler's not far in front either, 467, and then King Brown's 473. So there's nothing between those four teams, and it's pretty much coming down to just weekly results presently. The Cattle Dogs are the ones doing it easy out on top with 517.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it is so nice to see the little pictures of the doggies up top of the ladder there, on the Daliums, and also on their BBB page. It's been a while, you know, since we've had the cattle dog sitting up there. It's a little bit like the tug du tug.
SPEAKER_02The tug on the ducker box. Uh whatever. I think I was going to say something like that.
SPEAKER_04Hey, the dog on the tucker box, is that it?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's exactly what I was gonna say. Not the tug on the fucker box.
SPEAKER_04Uh, yep, so uh good stuff.
SPEAKER_02Happy for you, Mario. Stop the stop staring at me, please.
SPEAKER_03Oh sorry about that being on my I'm practising my staring competitions because uh I've been told that I have to project a more manly, you know. I've got to show a bit more uh testosterone, and I've got to stand upright and stare at people. I did it to the cashier at the supermarket the other day, mate. But it's okay. I won that battle. She knows it, and I know it, and that's all that matters.
SPEAKER_04I don't know where we went there, Mario, but thank you for that. It's time to keep rolling along. Punter of the year party. Okay, gents, we had our usual ten punters up on the weekend, and we had a little bit of success, which was nice. Not from the guys we would like to have had a success from, but that's just the way it rock and roll sometimes in the punting world, isn't it? Goldiga Gaverby, he was up with sixty bucks, three lobsters. He he was dead set trying hard to fight them off. There was he's had that much money walking in and he walked out with Zippo. He was lobsters were killed dead on the spot. Plagiarism and steel strike. They took him out. Who would have known that they would have taken him out?
SPEAKER_03Well, I heard plagiarism is a very bad disease for lobsters, mate.
SPEAKER_04So plagiarism isn't a disease, you drongo. It's uh when you say take someone else's riding or something like that and then copy it and say, hey, look, look what I did.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's plagiarism, mate. Well, if a lobster looks like another lobster, is that plagiarism?
SPEAKER_04No, I believe they're called twins, and I should gnaw.
SPEAKER_03Oh, okay, mate. Uh thank you for that.
SPEAKER_04Alright, so uh Gaverby, no good for the Crocs. And the second croc up was Tango Tom, who took an NRL multi. He had the flippers minus 5.5, so the Dolphins got home for him there. The sharks minus 5.5. Uh well, there you go. Bang, gone out. So uh Tango Tom was up in the saddle for the first time. No good. He goes back to the end of the line for his new team this year, the Crocs. Uh heading over now, let's have a look at you with the shooters, Laurie. How do they go over there, your boys? Uh Barnsy's boy Dave on fire. Taltani feels last in Doomman. Came down the outside and went, yes, bang oh. 12 to 1. He had five each way. Collected 76. Barnes' boy Dave, you are back in the in the pig skin, my friend, next weekend. Uh, 20 bucks. You've moved up from the ten. I knew you could do it. You are one tough son of a bitch, Barnes' boy Dave. Cambo go, you good thing. Alright, so uh the second punter up, who was that? Wynne Danielson. Uh, he had his first bet of the year. He's been waiting for a long time between behind Smitty Wynn and others. He backed a thing called Costello King or Castillo King. It doesn't really matter what his name was because it ain't King. It went uh no good at all, dog shit. So uh he missed out on that one. But he then he had a second NRL multi, as most players do, they take a little saver where they can, and his multi was Sharks Win. No need to go any further. Kaboom, Outsky, gone. Alright, so he's out for or he did nothing, he's back at the end of the line as well. Cattle dogs, uh, Maria, have you boys been able to produce a collect yet? We've been going six weeks. That's 12 bets, nothing into week seven, that's bets 13 and 14. Did we do any better?
SPEAKER_03Uh I'd like to say we did, mate, but uh we did not. Uh in our real multi, Dukes Ros Daniel, he's pretty good on their punt, and he had a go, and he took the Raiders plus 16.5, under 54.5 uh against his Shaki. So that was very good for him. Uh and they got there over the line, so that's good ting. Eels plus eight point five, over 48.5 Ting. So we got their first two, and we go into the third one. The Broncos plus 10.5, over 40.5 total match points. And that did sweet Fame, mate, uh, because the Broncos, oh, they got slapped around big time, and they are everybody's bitches at the moment. You shouldn't say stuff like that. That's a bit rude. I'm talking in Greyhound parlance.
SPEAKER_04If you're not my mate, yes, he can do that because they are, as we know, bitches in greyhounds. Uh horses, I'm not so sure that they're called bitches. Uh anyway, we'll look that up in the dictionary or the Thorus. Uh I believe that was a dinosaur, was it? Yeah, okay, moving right along. Tank rider Jace was up for the King Browns and he had a ten-dollar bet, and he took the sharks minus eleven point five. We'll take that back and they lost by even more. So uh again, the sharks just sunk three of us dead straight stones to the bottom of the ocean. Uh so no good there. Uh saving private, he went for his favourite commentator, especially in the AFL world, a horse by the name of Waitley. Now, the horse doesn't uh actually talk about AFL. I'd be surprised if he did. Horses have got much better things to talk about than that. Yeah, you're probably right. But the the commentator is Jared Whaitley, of course, and uh he uh can piss people off, let's be honest. Uh there's a fair few people out there who aren't particularly fond of him as a commentator, some who love him. Uh like most of the world, he's on a 50-50 either, or six of one half dozen or the other. Uh saving private, so that went no good. Uh it would have paid nicely if it had got home, but that never looked like it, let's be honest. Highwire Will, here we go, Wranglers. Look at you. Your eyes are sparkling down the end there, Sandy. Oh they were. I tell you what, Haiwire Will, he's had a lean a few years, and uh so has the teams. He's worn the the Fluoro's vest more than most over the last couple of seasons. And he took a a uh all up into each other, a couple of horses. The first one was called Steel Will. It was paying about uh, I don't know, a dollar thirty dollar thirty, dollar forty crazy 80s dude would have been all over it. Uh he had it for the win though, Huayre Will, which uh separates him from Crazy. Uh it lobbed, and then he had Braveheart and that lobbed as well, and it paid four dollars fifty or something like that. So he got collected twenty two and off the ten dollar mark that means he's back again next week.
SPEAKER_01Big Highway Will.
SPEAKER_04My lord, what a punter he is. So he'll have a lobster to play with next week. Have his hands full there. Oh there a couple of big bets, still willing to brave heart. Jeez, he sounds pumped up on the weekend, big high wire. I believe he was out the front doing kung fu kicks and everything at the top of the driveway, whipped the shirt off, uh jumped into a few Michael Jackson moves, he was moonwalking and everything. He he wanted to fight anything that moved. Uh there was the old neighbour alien, she's 94. Uh she came out and told him to shut up, and uh Will gave her an absolute golf. He wasn't scared of her. Uh and after their little tussle, uh he decided to shut up and went home.
SPEAKER_02Well, it's just good to see Will Braveheart butt got up, so that's good. Did he have another bet beside that?
SPEAKER_04Uh uh that he did. KL Aid or anytime three in the heel on Luki Anytime Three. Uh both of them dead set, lost, and no good at all. All right, well, that brings us to the last punter of last weekend, and there was another little winner in there, a collective $36 off the $20 mark. So uh we have a conundrum and a problem there, do we not, Sandy? Oh, yeah, we do. What a tank Matt, who won the week before, of course. Uh he backed a horse called Perfect Ten. Uh, and this team he backed another horse called Ten Commandments. It's probably good that he got knocked out this week because an early look at the fields, there's no horses with the name ten in them anywhere. So it might be nice for him to have a week off. It won ten commandments, he had five bucks on it, but it didn't appear enough. He only collected uh ten bucks on it, sorry. Uh he collected thirty-six dollars. Uh his other horse uh was called Addica or Adicas or whatever. He lost uh so he only collected 36 when he needed $40. So that means he uh gets to the point that he stays on that twenty dollar mark, but he goes back to the pack uh next week. Um next time he's around, uh that's a week away. That's probably another month. And on the way these guys punted, he won't be out long. So therefore a tank man, as he said he put the skirt on, he should have just backed a tank amount yesterday. Uh but he put the skirt on and whipped a little bit up, and that's what cost him. Jeez, I can think it's a bit better.
SPEAKER_03It depends what type of skirt it is, mate, you know? If it's a normal lying, are you a lying skirt? As long as it's not too short, he would be bearable.
SPEAKER_02You don't want him in a mini-skirt, but be water tank matt bending over, you know.
SPEAKER_04Uh geez, that's contrary and up. I think has anyone got a bucket, please. I think I'm gonna be called. Oh, we'll stop right there. Get him a bucket quickly when he blasted. Uh yeah. So uh put the skirt on. He he's uh as we know, Water Tank Matt's a huge fan of Nash Rawilla. And uh in the chat groups last week there was a bit of talk, and this one I believe uh this chat group was uh the team's chat group. And uh Nash Rawilla obviously wrote a bit eraser uh sometime, not not a good one, isn't it? And we'll just take the first line from this uh uh tank ride uh Water Tank Matt and his thoughts on Nashwilla. Nash Rid Nash, you fucking flog. Well that just about sums it up. It goes on then into another four or five pages. Uh but that's the opening line. And uh Nash Rawilla under all sorts of pressure, he's probably taken out an AVO and uh the tanks are talking him. I think it's a bit of a love hover hate relationship. Oh, you're talking similar to Craig's 80s, dude, and strength and join her, you know, something like that. Well, it might be. I mean, but uh Water Tank Matt, he's a fair bit bigger than Nash, he's probably four Nashes, but anyway. So that's all the punting. Up next week, we have Barnes' boy Dave off twenty. Come later, Ron Steve. He's off twenty, his first punt for the season. He's been waiting eight weeks by that stage. So uh you know good luck, Ronnie. Hopefully you can find something and keep yourself up there for a week or two. Uh the Cattle Dogs, they will be leading off with Mario. All right, thank you for that. Crocs, Strength and John and Mikka B. McKenna, they find themselves back in the pigs for $10 each. Uh down there, Ben, who have you got up next week for the uh King Browns? Uh Master Keen Matt's coming back, ten dollars. Uh we all know he'll go close. And General Buckleys, who scorched his way in the first week or two this year, he's up with 20 bucks, but there's no World Cup soccer, so I've got no idea if the Buckleys knows anything of else about any other sport uh other than cricket or soccer, but we'll soon see. And that leaves us. I'll take it from here. Thank you, Ronnie. Highwire World $20. And Robo's pocket rocket, he steps up with $10. Alright, let's have a quick look at the overall figures. I nearly forgot them last week, so the boys want to know this thing. After week seven, the running total for Beatleball 19 is minus 189. Uh, that's not too bad. We can get that back, not a problem in the world. The weekly collect was 211 bucks. Barnes' boy Dave 76, Water Tank Matt 36, Highwire World 22. The team strike rate. So we've had 17 collects out of 70 punts, and the best teams have been the Crocs and the Shooters, six and six out of fourteen. So they're doing well. Uh the Wranglers, four out of fourteen after those two collects on the weekend, and Smithy Wynn still leads the biggest collector of the year, 190, which isn't a huge one. Normally we get a few collects much bigger than that. Uh, shall we go over to the next page?
SPEAKER_01Beatleball 19 Stable Wars.
SPEAKER_04So some changes with the stables now, which is a good thing. We like to see things moving around after those three collects on the weekend. Uh the stables have had a change up. So uh there's some there's two teams that are definitely Waders Vest favorites at this very early stage of the season. Uh, but on top we have Black Caviar for the shooters, uh, Benzabier Bunsi's boy Dave, Josh and the Sergeant next to win, Nath Clark Imiagi, clear leaders 196, so they're in the black. Uh, the other team's in the black, Daly Martin 26 for the Crocs, Spice Girls 21 for the Crocs, and Woods Waterhouse for the King Browns, they are on 19. Down the bottom, Waders Vest territory, are those Cattle Dog stables, the Ells Friedman and the Nicholas Snowden stables. Uh, neither. No, no punters out of those ten uh members have picked a collect, have even got a collect. I mean, crazy. Uh uh, he's even stopping horses at a pound a dollar four. Uh it's amazing at the moment. So they'd be looking around at each other. Nobody gets uncomfortable at this point of the year as far as the waiter's vests go. There's a long, long way to go, especially in the punting side of things. Uh, but they wouldn't be happy to be there presently. Uh the teams at the moment, there's no doubt that the shooters and the crocs are dominating. It's nice to see those two Wrangler stables up a little bit. Hi, I gotta see they've been anchored at the bottom the last sort of eight months or with that little uh sip that Hayway Will took from the victory well. McElroy Waller, they're now third last, uh just in front of those two catterdog stables, and the other Wrangler stables up in the top five. But uh, you know, as you said, there's two stables really uh winning this at the moment, and and that is the shooters and the crocs. Uh overall punter of the year ladder. I think you is that what you that's what you're signalling. Yes, thank you. I forgot to go over that. So Smoothie Win sits up on top, punter of the year 236. Uh, there's no you know surprise that the Black Caviar shooter stables on top. He's leading that stable. General Buckley's second on 109. And then we have three crocs. Goldigger Gavaby, big win, Neil Josephy next, 84, 55, and 42 dollar collect so far. Grunton Grown 32 in front. Copy that condo, another croc on 26. And then Water Tank Matt's the only other player in the black 16. So there's only four players left but in punter of the year, which obviously affects Stable Wars as well, who are on zero. Uh, and so that means that we and once we get through that first group of punters, we can then look at the THC Premiership and have a more even idea of how things are actually shaking out.
SPEAKER_01Now, speaking of which, THC Premiership. So after seven weeks in the THC Premiership, we have Crocs out in front. Ron, you must be happy with that.
SPEAKER_042197, they have a 93 point lead over the mighty Wranglers. 2104 off the back of those two pants, and not a bad week in the tipping for the Triple Beers and so forth and so on. The Wranglers have managed to scrape into that second spot in the only real change on the ladder from week six, overtaking the shooters. Yeah, the shooters aren't going too bad, but two zero seven zero. So there's only thirty odd points between those two teams.
SPEAKER_02And then there's a big fall away. I mean, after seven weeks, you don't want to be this far off, and the Cattle Dogs and the King Browns they've got some work to do.
SPEAKER_03Well, if we can give somebody could pick a bloody winner, mate, we will be half a chance. But at the moment the Cattle Dogs are one eight to four-four. So we're a couple of hundred points off the shooters in third. And then uh you look at the King Browns, but I mean, if the Cattle Dogs want to feel good about themselves, have a look at the King Browns.
SPEAKER_04Mate, goodness, shut up, Mario. Just shut right up. The King Browns are on one six three three and uh running dead last. That's that's big so far, Ben. That's five hundred points already, you know. And for a team that's trying to win their first premiership, how do you feel about that? Well, I'm not fucking happy about it, if that's what you're asking. Jeez, that's you know, it's like asking a man who's starving to death if he like a hot hot cross bun or a roll or something like that.
SPEAKER_03I love hot cross buns, mate.
SPEAKER_04So do I. Do I what? All right, yeah, so uh the King Browns, I don't I don't know what to say. I mean, there's a long, long way to go, but it's uh they've got to start to pr produce a bit or else you know they're going out backwards again, and more wooden spoon. Ah, not another couple of trees we're gonna cut down. My goodness. I've only got two left in the whole town out there in King Brown town. My god. Well, they have won some water wooden spoons over the years, but it's not over, a long way over. We do have some points coming in next week, so we'll talk about that shortly as well.
SPEAKER_01BTB MVP and Club Champions.
SPEAKER_04Second run now. No, I didn't mind that actually. Had a little bit of a sing song to it, didn't it? Alright, looking at the MVPs and the club championships after week seven of the Beat the Ball 19 tour. And uh looking at the MVP overall Goldigger Gaverby out on top 418, Josh will be next. In second, so a croc Quinella at the top. He's on 406, Josh will be next. In third win, Danielson on 350. Uh, the top 12 after that, Robbo's Pocket Rocket, Barnes's boy Dave, WaterTeck, Matt Craig's Carnival, Rhinestone, Graham, Smiddy win. That's the top nine. That'll do us right there. And as we go down to the bottom, uh, oh, I'll tell you what, there's some names down there. Uh, Warwick Farmfella, Frogman Grant Eric arrives in saving private. Saving private overs even hit the 100 mark hits. Can somebody check on him, please, and make sure that the skipper is okay out there in King in King Brown Town and Doubo surrounds? Uh, so not going well at the moment, but in the club championship race, Gold Diggy Gaverby Josh will be next. We know they're much the same. The only change in that top three is Robo Pockets Rocket Swaps places with Win Danielson. On only a seven point leader to top set 378 to 371. Moving right along, we'll have a look at uh these NRL and AFL tipping footy comps because as we know, the AFL tipping concludes this coming weekend. It's going to be huge. Yeah, it is. And uh looking at it right now, we've got some big changes on that ladder last weekend, and most blokes picked a full round and got the bonus two points. Uh so that's an amazing week if you played your Joker. And I'll tell you what, there are half a dozen who are very, very happy with themselves indeed. Master Key, Matt, Haicho, Sam, copy that condo. All got 20 points from last weekend and have scooted right up that ladder and going into their final week now. Oh, pressures on big time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, mate. Hi, Will. And Gideon stuff, they also did very well. Clucky Miyagi trying to make up ground there, being a late starter rookie. He I got 16. So Hallie, he only missed one game as well, but that's uh lifted him up and above uh some others who have been uh tipping the whole time through, so he's going good.
SPEAKER_04Yes, indeed. So at the top of the ladder, as we go into the final week, how's this? This may be split on points four and against over the season. Uh Strength and Jonna and Tank Rider Jace both scored 11 last week, so nine out of nine plus the two points bonus. Uh 174, tied at the top. But here they come. Craig's Carnival, he got 20 points last week in as well, playing his Joker. 173. He's one off the lead one week to go. And then we go back to Muster Key Matt next to win Nath. They are tied in equal third on 171. Mustard Key Matt also gaining that maximum 20 points from last week. They would be your realistic chances, you would think. Uh looking at it, you would think so. It'd take something special, but don't you love it? Who has a Joker left?
SPEAKER_01That is the question. Who has a Joker that they're just gonna flop out onto the desk and say, have a gander at that, you guys?
SPEAKER_04Because if if they do, just down Rainstorm Graham, Sage or Sam, Benzaber copy that condo. If they have another Joker and they have a good wick, they could take this championship out. Oh, indeed. It's the most exciting tipping comp we've ever had in the AFL. Are those three jokers, uh, extra points if you can pick the margin, things like that, full rounds. Uh it's anyone's ball game. But right now, how many jokers will be left? That's the question. So uh these points will go into the Tattoo trophy and then the THC Premiership flow on from next week. So we're gonna have another change to that premiership ladder uh after these go in, and then a couple of weeks after that NRL tipping and super coach. Looking at NRL tipping quietly, well, he's having a hell of a season, isn't he? Strength and Johnner. He's on top there again. He got six last week, which was pretty darn good for the weekend. Uh 142. He leads by two now. Metro Mack got the four, which was probably about the standard half the card picked by NRL followers on the weekend. So he slips back to second, uh, two points uh astray. But again, jokers will come into play. Plus, there's three weeks left in this one. Barnes' boy Dave, he has been on fire lately too. He can't do anything wrong. Can't put a foot wrong, big Barnesy's boy Dave Cambo. He got seven. Uh, so that was excellent. Seven out of eight. My god, he must have a crystal ball. Uh 135. Plenty of jokers that were played on the weekend as well. But most of the boys only got eight points. So that was four out of eight, doubled eight. So they'd be very disappointed with that, some of these fellas. But do they have more jokers to be played? Um, and if uh the AFL one, just to quickly tie up that, if you have a joker left, you must play it this weekend or else it dies. So your jokers died. No one wants to see a dead clown on a tipping road. You know what I'm saying? So uh the NRL tipping, the best of the week was far as Jokers went, Tango Tom. He produced uh five out of eight winners, doubled to ten. Um that's moved him up to I I don't know, he's probably in the bottom ten still, but uh that's a good find. Every point counts or goes towards that premiership. Yeah, too bloody right it does. You get a feeling already this is gonna be the tightest year we've ever had in that THC premiership, uh, and every point is going to count.
SPEAKER_02Super coach, I'll tell you what, the King Browns are doing alright there, Ben.
SPEAKER_04Uh absolutely, it's about time we shone in something. Manscaped adds Frogman Grant running one two. Uh, we're getting to that end of the season. No trades left. It'll come down to injuries and uh and gaps in points uh if there's enough time to make up ground. Uh so they're doing very well for the King Browns. And Master Key Matt, he's in fourth spot, uh, but he's 1,500 points off second, so you you wouldn't think he can get that back over the space of the next few weeks, even though points uh are high scores in this competition. That they are indeed. So normally this year I think the average is around 1,300 points around. Uh this weekend just passed 1134. There's a lot of injuries that came out of the weekend in the NRL, though, uh, which is going to affect these supercoach teams, especially if you have no trades left. Uh and guys like Reese Wolfe, who was very popular, he's gone down. Uh there's another guy, Connolly Lemuelu, a second round for the Dolphins. The Dolphins players have been very, very popular. He has gone down as well. And then, of course, Braden Trindle, the sixth for the Sharks. Not sure how popular he was in Supercoach, but these are guys who are going to be out for the year. You can throw in guys like I say on top of that. Uh the only good news may be James Tedesco coming back for the Roosters, but he will be very popular. Uh, and if you're trying to make up points, well, that's going to be difficult. Uh, just before we leave this one alone, uh the King Browns are going very well, three of the top four. Uh, but if we add uh the top here, the the Haywear will, Krees Carnival, Water Tank, Matt Sage, or Sam Robles, Pocket Rocket, there's favourite anglers. So look at the top of that ladder, black and brown everywhere. Yeah, the old black caviar colours. Uh and I'll tell you what, there is that's all it is. You you need to get down to uh ninth spot to find Smitty winner next to win night. Uh, and they're there for the shooters. Um, but it's gonna be interesting because those points will flow into in a few weeks. There we are. I think we have all the competitions uh pretty much rounded up. We go into a couple of a big Tattoo Trophy month in September, uh, into October, two with a spring champion tipster contest. More about them later on. But right now, boys, guess what time it is?
SPEAKER_03Oh no, no, no, no, you don't have to tell me. We are going to find out where we will be touring in the 20th anniversary year, mate. Is that correct? Am I right, Ronnie? Ronnie, tell me I'm right, please, mate.
SPEAKER_04You are in fact dead wrong.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I can't believe that, mate.
SPEAKER_04I'm only joking. That's what we're gonna do. So join us again in a few seconds, and we're going to unveil the final vote and the tour destination for our 20th Be the Ball anniversary.
SPEAKER_01In the very first year of Be the Ball, Nelson B was our destination. Fast forward, Be the Ball 10 anniversary season, Maruchi Dog Sunshine Coast. The BTB 20th anniversary is down to three locations. Will it be the Sunshine Coast new style? Or will the boys head west to Perth, Western Australia? Or maybe the warm rays of the north will draw everyone to Townsville. In a matter of moments, it will be decided. Be the Ball Tour 20. Where will we be?
SPEAKER_04Rello, joining us in the studio now, of course, is none other than Craig's Carnival. Great to have you with us again, Carnival. Always fabulous to be here with you, fellas. Very exciting day as we announce where the Be the Ball 20 tour will be going. Yes indeed. And uh we'll open the floor, shall we? Any questions, boys? I've got one straight up for you, Carnival. Uh the three final destinations was there a lot in between them at the end of the uh voting period. Well, Sandy, no, there wasn't actually. Uh there was two in particular that stood out. The third, though, did get its fair share of votes as well. Uh, but those three were by far the most popular destinations that we had. Hobart, of course, uh last week got knocked out of play. Too cold for many. Uh, it's probably a small tours uh destination anyway, which I'm working on uh for those avid golfers in particular and maybe wine lovers. Uh then of course we had some other places, Forbes uh parks, which uh Ronnie has been trying to get uh for ever, ever to go out there. Uh we shan't be going out there. Uh and there are others at COP 1 nomination and you know they were just bits and pieces. But the final three I can say were very popular indeed.
SPEAKER_03Okay, mate. So uh how many people voted for which one?
SPEAKER_04Well the voting process, as you know, Mario, is more than just uh the nomination that everyone gets a vote. So if you're in the tour for beat the ball 19, you get to vote on where we will be going for beat the ball twenty. Uh that's nice and dumb. But when we actually get to the destination vote, you have to earn the right to uh get more votes. So the way it works, and it's always worked from the very first moment, is the longer you spend on tour, the greater say you get in the decisions that are made. So that means if you're a rookie, for instance, you you don't really get that much of a say in your first year. Bot on. That's exactly right, Laurie. Uh and the way that works is that the rookies get one vote. They haven't toured yet, haven't made a tour yet. So they you've got to earn your stripes. It's not like it's like a footballer, you can't come in off the bench in number 22, uh, walk on and start telling your teammates that I'm running the show and this is it. You know, do what I say. Uh it doesn't work like that. You you have to earn the respect of the boys, you have to get on a couple of tours, and that first tour for rookies, in all honesty, all you should be doing is looking to go away, have a great time, and see what it's all about. Well it is, it's always a great tour itself. It's it's always well organized. Uh this final destination that you're picking, because they're all they have their pros and cons, no doubt, Carnival. Uh are you is there any organisational issues that may arise depending on where that final destination is? Well, the tyranny of distance always plays a part in everything. Uh the closer you are to somewhere, the easier it is to manage and and actually go and have a hands-on, you know, look at the place and and feel what's going on. So the further you go away, uh there's you know greater distance, which means that you you're relying on everything to be just perfect for you uh from the people on the other end. But it's nothing we haven't come across. You know, this will be our 20th tour in a couple of years. Um, you know, please God we all get there, of course, and it's going to be, you know, we've got everything pretty much down pat these days on how to get it done. And the 20th will have a few bells and whistles to make it a little bit more special. Uh so Carnival, just get this right. There's 48 blokes who are going away or voting on where we're going, is that correct? That's absolutely right, Ben. So of the 48, it doesn't come down to how many have voted, it comes down to how many votes you've got that's going to probably be a decider. So if if people get together and block vote or there's a general consensus uh that they will win, they will carry the day, no doubt about it. That's basic mathematics. Well, you're spot on there as well, Ben. Uh we you guys have been through this process plenty of times with me. Uh and that's what happens. So, you know, sometimes there might be a place that gets more voters, uh, but they're actually collective votes don't matter. It doesn't get them over the line. So, someone, for instance, like Mickey McKenna, who's been on every tour, he has 18 votes this year. Uh, you get places like Private, who's only missed one, he's on 17, Robbo's pocket rocket 16. So they're going to carry a lot more weight than the boys who have been on one or two tours, and so they should. It's like they've done the hard yards, they've earned the right. And for for some of these boys, they've dug the well, uh, and the everyone's drinking from that well today. Yeah. Uh so that's just the way it is. And if anyone doesn't like it, they probably you know shouldn't be on the be the ball, in all honesty. Uh and just to cap it off before we get to the result, I just want to say that you know, all these destinations, almost every person that I spoke to was quite happy to go anywhere. They they didn't really mind. It's more a preference thing. And then again, your preferences can change over a period of 12 months as well. Uh, and we'll be relying on the weather, we'll be relying on transport, etc., no matter where we go. Uh, but most guys were were very easy with it, and they said, Look, I don't really mind, but if I you know you want to pick out of me, this is where I would pick, but I don't really care if it goes to one of the other places.
SPEAKER_03I love that, mate. That's teamwork makes the dream work, mate. Oh, I love it. Uh, it's really good. All these boys know that you can put these boys together, you know, in a somebody said last week a phone box, and I don't even know what that is, really. Uh, but uh you can put them in a phone box and they'd find a way to have fun.
SPEAKER_04That they would. All right, all right, all right. Let's get down to it, and uh we might go over to voiceover dude, and he can introduce the uh first destination nomination and how many votes they got.
SPEAKER_01In third place, with forty one votes is Townsville, North Queensland. A boom, there goes the far north, I suppose after. Cannes this year coming. Uh there's quite a lot of blocks who thought, you know, two years in a row, that far north carnival, maybe a little bit much.
SPEAKER_04Well, that could have been some of their thinking, Sandy, for sure and certain. But the bottom line is there were five people who voted for Townsville and totaling those forty-one votes. So they're averaging around eight votes each, which means eight tours each. So there were some fairly influential fellows in there who wanted to go there. Uh, but unfortunately they just couldn't garner the support for it to be this time. Alright then. Well, there's no point in announcing a second. We we need to announce who is the tour destination winner for the massive 20th year anniversary celebrations carnival. Uh can we just maybe give a little bit of context to the differences between these two destinations, which we know now are Noosa slash Sunshine Coast and Perth. Alright, we're looking at it for you now, Ron. One of these places had 23 votes, and one of them had twenty.
SPEAKER_03Man, that is close, mate. That is very, very close. I'm nervous. I'm starting to sweat up a little bit here. Um I'm excitedly nervous. I don't really mind which one we got to, but uh, you know, that's very, very tight.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was one of the tightest votes we've had in a a few years, actually. Uh the last few have been pretty uh there's been a standout for each one, but uh this one went right down to the wire and literally down to the last few votes, um, voters coming in, and they used up all their time to get their votes in uh last Friday, and uh one of them was a little bit later Saturday morning, but we still accepted it, of course. Uh the good news is everyone voted, um, so that's everyone's had a say, and it's really important that that happens because uh even though your destination may get up, as I said, I don't I don't think most blokes uh are too worried about where they go. Alright then, uh let's go over to the voiceover guide to announce the winner of the Beatle 20 Anniversary Tour destination.
SPEAKER_01The BTB 20th anniversary tour destination is Perth WA.
SPEAKER_03Yes, mate, they're beautiful. I want to go to Perth. I've never been to Perth. I hope Perth is nice.
SPEAKER_02Is Perth nice? Oh, it's excellent. There's a lot of wackers over there. Uh there's two whackers that I know of. There's probably plenty more than that.
SPEAKER_04Oh, there's wackers everywhere you go. I think it was pertaining to the cricket side of things there, Sandy. Oh, I was too. Nice to have a couple of whackers. You need to have a little bit of character in the place. Alright then, all right, Perth. Perth, Perth, Perth. And what was the final vote count there, Craig? Craig's Carnival, I should say. Or Carnival. Uh just shorten it up here. You know, we're nice and casual with each other. Well, the final votes were 202 for Perth, uh 160 for Sunshine Coast Noosa. Uh, but this is the anomaly in the voting, and this is why it's so important. Uh and and it's fair that people get more of a say the longer they're here. There were 23 people that actually voted for Sunshine Coast Noosa, uh, and only 20 that voted for Perth. So it was very tight indeed. If I get my mathematics right, if those five guys who voted for Townsville had to put their votes come a little bit more south than Townsville and gone to Sunshine Coast, they would have got over the line. They would have indeed been very quick, very quick to pick that up. Uh that 41 would have given them 201 votes to 202, sorry, so they would have missed by one, uh, even if those five had have gone across. Uh so there we have it. Uh it's been threatened to be Perth for many years, and it's going to be Perth in the Beatle 20th anniversary. Well, that's pretty exciting, you know. Uh Perth, as you said, I I know we've been covering this uh tour for a long, long time, and Perth has been thrown up almost every year. Uh some years it's got close, other years it never looked like it, but uh it's to have its first time visit to Perth in the 20th anniversary, that will certainly make it special.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but what mate, we went to Maruchi Dor in Bible 10, and I know the cattle dogs really like to go to Sunshine Cast. Uh, but you know, we could have made it a tradition to go to their Sunshine Cast every ten years.
SPEAKER_04I know that, I know that, Mario, but uh the boys have voted, and the one thing that it's a very fair and democratic process. They go through this every year, nothing changes. The only thing changes is how many votes you get, and that's by how many tours you've been on. So, Perth it is. Thank you for dropping in, Carnival, and uh filling us in on what's happening. I'm sure you've got a lot of organizing to do now for this. Absolutely. That's one of the reasons we've uh voted for it on this year to give us 18 months. Uh as we know, Perth is not close, you can go to international countries uh in quicker time than we can get to Perth. Uh in saying that, it's a lovely part of the world. I have been there a couple of times in my life, uh, not for a couple of decades to be honest, but it's great with golfing in particular. Accommodation and nightlife shouldn't be a problem at all. Uh, and so I I think it will cover everything we pretty well want in a golf tour. We just need that weather to stay nice for us. Yeah, it can get a bit chilly over there too at that time of year, but here's fingers crossed, eh, that it's uh up a couple of degrees for you and it'll be good. Thank you. Yep, thank you, Laurie. It will be. It will be fine, and I'm sure everyone will be happy. Well, there it is, everybody. You heard it here first, be the ballers. We will be travelling to Perth in Be the Ball 20 for the anniversary tour. Uh, the first time ever that the tour has been taken to Perth, and what a year to do it. Just another quick question for you, Carnival. How do you think the boys will accept this? You know, that's a fair whack of distance for some of the lads to travel. Yeah, it is, there's no doubt about it. But it's also geographical. You know, we go to Queensland a lot of the time, so the boys who live up in the far north of New South Wales or in you know southern Queensland and Middle Queensland, they uh have no problems, you know, have they have a lot of tours that aren't far from home. This one's probably going to be their biggest test, uh, but it could also be the most fun they have. They they're gonna have to travel. Um, but there's you look at the country boys too, the boys out from the central western New South Wales, for instance, they are quite happy that they have to add hours on, and we're not just talking, you know, a couple of hours, we're talking four, five, six hours on to get on this plane to get there to get back. So that lends itself to the question then will there be an extra day for this tour, or is it going to be the same length of time? Well, that's something that we'll need to broach uh with the whole group and see if they want to add an extra day in there, if they can act uh you know add an extra day, or if they're quite happy to keep it at the four days that it currently is. Uh, I'm flexible on all of that. Uh it just depends on what the general consensus is. Uh, but Perth it will be. And and as I said, I've been there before and it's a it's a great spot. Uh and so it will be you know an absolutely fabulous time. The golf course is a dead set sensational. Uh so the golf will be a real experience and perfect for a big anniversary tour. Uh, the nightlife, the accommodation, uh, there's plenty to do uh and and it should be absolutely fantastic. Alright, we'll let you go there, Carnival. Thank you for that. And for all you ballers out there, especially those of you who selected Perth as your preferred destination for Beat the Ball 20. Well done. Hey, that's where you'll all be going, and I can't wait to get over there myself.
SPEAKER_01Is it just me or did that all seem a little subdued then? You know, the excitement wasn't there.
SPEAKER_02We're in a studio, you bozo. It's not like we're in, you know, in front of thousands like we were for the player draft or anything like that.
SPEAKER_04It's it's just us. I did have a chat with Carnival earlier too, and and whilst everyone there there is excitement there for Perth, do not underestimate that. And it will be it will have its own build-up. But that's still, you know, eighteen months away. Right now, we're all going to Cairns, and Carnival was at pains to point that out to me that whilst it's wonderful we have our destination locked in, the build-up for that destination will not start happening until after this tour because this one is going to be a mighty tour to Cairns.
SPEAKER_03Too right, mate. I can't wait to get up there. We have had two riproaring tours to the Queen Cairns, the Funnels Queensland month, and I can't wait to get there. And that's where our attention should go to. Anyway, that is my belief.
SPEAKER_04That's about the smartest thing you've said in ages. I agree with you entirely. Superb that we're going to Perth, wonderful. We can all start planning from a long way out. Uh, but right now, let's just get back on board with Beat the Ball 19 Cans, you beautiful thing. Yep, that's exactly what we should do.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I've got the surfboard packed, I've got the budgie smugglers, I've got the zinc cream, I've got everything. Uh did you got your golf clubs, mate? No, I forgot the golf clubs. Better chuck the sticks into uh cans, here we come, can't wait for it.
SPEAKER_04Alright, everybody, that'll do us for this week. Week seven roundup for the Beat the Ball Early Bird Weekly uh result packed podcast. And we're off to Perth. There we go. But now, as we just covered, let's get stuck into cans because this is gonna be a ripper season, ripper year, and cans, here we come.
SPEAKER_02See you later, boys. Talk to you next time. Yep, bye fellas. Love you, Libba.
SPEAKER_04Yep, over in our chaffin' now, babies. Hey, how do you be that you saucy minxes?
SPEAKER_01Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, be the ball.
