But yeah, he actually was mentored by a DJ cool DJ AJ, who's Curtis Blow's DJ. So he learned when he was in high school or something like that. And then I learned from him when I was about four or five years old Holy shit.

Oh anyway. Well, back in the day, DJs used to do a lot of tricks on turntables like scratching, beat juggling.

It's not. They're popular now, unfortunately. But DMC Battles highlights that the technical aspect of DJing so scratching, beat juggling, body tricks, stuff like that I was never big on body tricks. I'm a big guy, so that would be kind of tough for me. But I got really big into scratching. That's where my style went from mixtape DJ, party rockin' DJ to turntablism. I saw this movie Scratch. It's a documentary by Doug Pray and it really focuses on the turntablism scene and once I saw that, that kind of changed everything for me. I went from wanting to DJ for a group to really wanting to just scratch all day. You know what I'm saying Really be technical with the turntables. So, yeah, that's how my career got started Running for my father, taking it more seriously in college, and then today I'm all over the place. So what did you go to college for? Music production. Music production, yeah, it's no longer around. It was a school called IADT, you know, remember that. What was that school? Devry.

No, I'm from New York, originally Born in New York, raised in Richmond, virginia, oh shit, so I'm from the East Coast. I guess you could say I've lived in South Carolina, virginia, new York, now in Tampa. I lived in Atlanta for a couple of years. I always ask people why Tampa? I think my mother, I wasn't planning on going to college and my mother found like the art school, iadt, and she was like it's in Tampa, it's, you know, it's away from here. Cause I knew if I, if I would've stayed home, I wouldn't have, I would've gotten in trouble or, you know, gotten a girl pregnant and just would have been, you know, just a regular dude, you know, but um.

One of my best friends is one of my engineers, moochie Newmoney, who I met in college. But yeah, so I will say I took from that meeting the right people and learning more about the art of making and mixing music at college.
