And then, after we graduated and stuff like that, I found out that he was doing MMA and I was like, oh, I can get my, get back.

Balancing Trucking Career and MMA

That's my job, yeah, so what I do is I go to work, I drive my truck, do my loads. I used to do Texas, so I used to Jesus Christ, yeah, so I used to drive out to Texas. I mean, dude, I started off at I was like 220 before I started the sport so I'd drive out to Texas make my deliveries. Then I'd have to come back. I'd be gone for like three to four days, then I'd just have to start training. But now I have it to where I work and then I can come back in the mornings, train in the mornings, get some sleep, shower and everything, and then go back to work the same night. So it's like I said everyone has like what they want to do. If you really want to do it, if you're dedicated to it, you're going to find a way to do it.

So for me, I get offered guys that I train with. You can't offer me someone that I just got done training with. Like, for example, I just left Gracie South Tampa. I'm training with these guys. You're going to offer me them to fight on a regional scene. It doesn't make any sense. Now, if we're talking UFC, we're talking contender series. We all got an agreement, we got to do what we got to do, we got to fight, but on a regional scene. It doesn't really make any sense, because now I'm messing up my connections in terms of training Rob.

And then there was another fight where, for example, when I fought Thor, it made more sense for me to go do my training camp at Fusion, because they have a little bit more well, they have more black belts in terms of grappling, exchanges and stuff like that. So I wanted to be around more wrestlers. So I kind of decide what kind of camp I want to do with that. But my very first fight, we didn't know what to expect from the guy because there wasn't a lot of film, so we went to Brazil and we got our training when I went to Brazil.
