Paw-some partners: How the strong bond between K9s and their handlers keeps us safe
The Port St. Lucie Police Department’s K9 Unit is a team of highly trained police dogs and officers that bolsters the fight against crime in Port St. Lucie and provides protection for officers and residents. But the K9 Unit is also a testament to the extraordinary bond between humans and their canine partners, working tirelessly to ensure the safety of the City.
On Episode 26, Sgt. John Fazio, who leads the unit, and K9 Officer Will Harris chat with us about how the dogs and officers are trained, what makes a good handler, the challenges of working with a four-legged partner and lots more. Did we mention K9 Bodhi visits with us, too? He does!
