Music to our ears: The pitch-perfect evolution of Port St. Lucie's Concert Series
What does it take to plan a Concert Series? Who figures out which bands will bring in big crowds? How much staff is needed to pull off a great night of music?
Well, that's where Linda McCarthy comes in. She's the City's executive director of business development, and on Episode 36 she shares insider information about how she gets bands like Styx, Little River Band, Diamond Rio, Scotty McCreery and Everclear to make tour stops in Port St. Lucie. If we ask nicely, she also might tell us who's coming to the MIDFLORIDA Event Center stage this year!
Another part of Linda's job is to figure out cool ways to generate revenue for the City, so we're able to put on even bigger and better events, seminars and shows for residents.
