Identity... it's a big topic. In a world where our identity or how we choose to identify is at the focal point of conversation it is especially important to understand our spiritual identity as believers for the sake of our children and our relationships. There are deep roots in our identities- it touches every area of our lives, how we respond to things, how we heal, how we grow. It is shaped by our situations, circumstance, relationships and upbringings. But it is good? Is it inherently healthy to have self-identities? Or is the protection and seeking of self-identity creating slaves to self, drawing us out of freedom into a world of fragile egos and ideologies?
