Welcome to the alley D show. Today, we're going to talk about a topic that I was discussing with one of the women inside the glow up program this week. And I want to bring it here to the podcast because I know you're struggling with this too. I struggled with this big time in my business, but it's something that we got to get over. If we want to actually create mega businesses for ourselves. And what I'm talking about is actually content creation. The content process. Okay. So many business owners, and again, I was the same way. Really do not like the content creation process. They don't like thinking about content. They don't like having to create content and make the videos, edit it, post it second, guessing everything doing 25 takes for one simple shot, you know, just kind of making the process really be a lot. Instead of which is coming back to our theme for the week, I guess, making it a very simple and actionable part of your business that you can repeat. On a, on a regular basis, be able to have a repeatable content strategy that, you know, works that at the end of the day does its job, which is taking strangers on the internet to making them actual buyers of your stuff. Lifelong loyal, AAF customers. Okay. This as a whole can feel like a very daunting process. And I think it's because a lot of times, number one, We're scrolling and looking at other content creators and seeing what they're doing. And it just seems like they have it all together and it's so easy for them. Right. But we don't actually know what's going on behind closed doors. They've either been doing it for years, so it's easy. They have help. They have editing. Um, you know, someone, they hired an edit. I mean, there's a lot that can go on. So I don't want you to compare yourself to what other people are doing and feel like, oh my gosh, I will never be able to do that. Or that seems really complicated to get done because the thing with content is, and this is like everything in business, the more you do it, the more reps you put in, obviously the better you get at it. But when you're first. Starting to really focus on your content. Uh, even if you've been creating content for, I don't know, a year, but now you're actually getting serious about your content because you realize this is the lifeline of my business, especially when we're selling online and you shift your focus to, okay. Content is no longer. At the bottom of the barrel and my priority, like I'm moving it up. I really want to be great at content. I want my content to do its job for me, 24 7. I don't want to be beating my head against the wall. When it comes to content creation, I would actually kind of like to enjoy the process considering it's going to be with me and my business for the longevity of my business. Right. Content creation is not something that you do. And then the task goes away. Okay. It's an ever, ever enrolling, I guess, or evergreen type of tasks that you're always going to be doing in your business. As long as you're a business owner. So let's just get that out of the way. Content will forever be something that you quote, unquote, have to do. So instead of looking at content as a chore or something, that's, you know, annoying or something that's, doesn't work for you or whatever the case may be, which listen. I was the queen of this just a few years ago. I hated content. I hated the idea of posting content. I hated like having to think about content creation. I mean, like, it was just something that for me, I was not into believe it or not. Right. Now I fricking love content creation. And I love it because I've created a simple, repeatable process that I now teach my clients that you can show up and do and make content simple. Something you can actually do as a business owner. That's going to convert. Okay. So I was able to totally transform how I looked at content by understanding, okay. Number one, I need a content strategy. I can't be showing up on a whim. I can't just be posting content on days. I feel good or feel like it, content is going to be something that's always with me and my business. So let's, first of all, change our mindset and look at content as something that we get to do. It's not something we have to do. It's not something we're forced to do. We fricking get to make content. So we can get more customers. It's something that we. R. So I don't even want to say lucky. But so lucky for lack of a better word to have at our fingertips this day and age. Entrepreneurship now. Is easier than it ever has been because we have content at our fingertips. We're able to create pieces of art. That we can put on the internet to attract our customers and not pay zillions of dollars to TV, film, radio, billboards, newspaper, all the traditional ways that people used to have to advertise for their business. Because otherwise you're just yelling to a, you know, an empty hall. There's no one out there that even knows your business exists. If you're not getting in the content game. And taking it seriously. Great. You have great products. I love that for you. That's that's awesome. But. It's not just about collecting cute products. It's about selling the products, right. So it's like, if we're just collecting products, then we're just like hoarders, basically. Or we're, we're buying stuff to have in our own closet, but at the end of the day, we got to sell. The product, right. And with that, Comes content. There is no land of being a entrepreneur and business owner without content anymore. So. Let's make it fricking fun. Let's make it simple and let's change our mindset. So we understand that when we show up every time we're posting content. You get to reach people who will buy your stuff. You get. To be visible. You get your own little space in the internet world to be creative, to have fun, you get to use your unique talents, your authenticity. To bring people to your business. This is something you get to do, not something you have to do. So I want you to number one, change your mindset. Number two. Don't make content such a big thing. What is the process you're currently using for creating content and editing content right now? If content feels like a lot to you it's because your process needs to be simplified. Where are you scrolling and looking at 5,000 different types of content ideas that you could create, but you get so overwhelmed. You never even do one. Maybe you save like 10 funny voiceover audios, you got 10 transition videos. You got. You know, 10, how to videos got all this stuff saved for quote unquote, inspo. But you can't even make your first move or create a repeatable process because it's just, you're overwhelmed. You've got so much going on. You don't even know where to start. Even if you're posting content every day, which I know a lot of you are. It's still can feel like a chore or a task as opposed to feeling like how you actually get eyeballs on your business. Right. It's your content. So we got to reframe your mindset and we got to work on your content strategy. Is there maybe one or two. Content ideas, general ideas. And I'm talking about like, okay, for my reels, I'm going to have little, you know, seven, second clips of me trying on an outfit with a. You know, hook over it. Uh, you know, some text on it. Is it me stepping into, I'm going to do some, like how to videos, how to use, you know, dot dot, dot to get.dot, dot. Pick one or two styles. And during your content session, work on those styles and work on them for a few weeks. And then you may go, you know what. Let me add in something else. Let me try this. And so you're allowing yourself to get better instead of just being stuck, being stuck because you have your eyeballs on so many different styles of content. For your Instagram stories. Like there is zero reason why you should not be showing up on Instagram stories every single day. If you are not posting five stories a day. You have a content issue. And you have a block when it comes to Instagram stories and guys. Instagram stories is how you get people to go to your website. Because the link is right there. If you haven't already go watch my IgG stories, training inside the trendsetter membership. I teach you how to do all of this, but literally this is so simple. You could do it in 10 minutes every morning, and it's done. And watch your traffic to your website double just by doing literally 10 minutes worth of work in the morning, instead of going well, maybe I'll do an Instagram story today where I'm like showing this and then maybe I'm going to go behind the scenes that, and then, oh, I know I'll go over here and talk about this and then I'll share this. And it's like, no. Simple. You need simple. Your customers need simple. Okay. So get on your IgE stories. Post five times a day, simple product picture linked to the website. Maybe that's the style you stick to at first and that's all you do. I'm telling you, if you do that every day for three weeks, it's going to be so fricking easy. You're going to feel ready to add in another element, like maybe it's product photo, and then it's you showing a little video of wearing the product, talking about it, then we're back to product photo product would a product photo product photo. Okay. Now you're adding in another style of content. Into a strategy you've already mastered, which is your five product photos with your link to your website. So now you've got four product photos and a video. And now you roll with that for a few weeks. See how that feels. What's the feedback on like, oh wow. You're noticing you're getting a lot of clicks from that little video you had. Now let's do two. So now we got a product photo product, video prog photo product, video, product photo. Okay. But you can't do this all at once. Sometimes that's where you get stuck, because it's so much, and you're like, oh, I don't know what to do. We do one thing, we get good at it. Then we add in something else. If you try to be good at too many things at once. You'll get halted by the feelings of overwhelm. You'll you'll stop in your tracks and you won't be posting at all. So consider this style. Of getting good at content. I want you to get good at content because not only is it going to bring in sales, traffic customers. But this is going to be a part of your life as long as you own your business. So let's get good at it. Let's make it fun. And, you know, what's going to happen. Maybe a year or two years from now, you're going to be able to start delegating this task. That's where I'm at. I can say here's the type of content we do. Here's my content strategy. Here's the photographer. That's going to shoot the content. Here's what the videos are going to look like. I can hire someone to do that side. And then hire someone to post the content. So I'm still in charge of the strategy, but I'm not having to take all the videos, take all the pictures, do the editing. Okay. You need to get good at this first, before you delegate this task, because you need to tell the person who you're going to hire. To help you with this eventually. Cause you're gonna be so rich and have so many sales coming in that it's going to be time where you can go, okay. You know what? I need to be selling more. Um, In this certain thing, and now I've, I've mastered this. So let me get this task to someone else who can do it. Great. And let me focus on, I don't know, going live or wherever you need that time back to do something else to 10 X, your business. But you can't delegate that until, you know, What it takes. To bring in customers to your store. So there's, they're you, they're getting familiar with you and maybe it's, you know, it's a hybrid it's you still doing some and maybe you have someone helping on just the posting side. So like all the content just goes into a folder and they post it for you. They write your captions. They post it for you. There's tons of ways you can scale your business. So. But right now, I'm talking to my girlies. If you're doing like 10 K or more in sales per month. This may be something that you want to look at. You could delegate a piece of this. But if content still feels heavy, it still feels like there's a lot of resistance. It takes a lot for you to actually get into the content creation mode. And you're not showing up with a positive attitude because you get to create it. We got to work on that piece first. So that's what I want you to do after this podcast. Think about your content creation process. What's the immediate feeling you get when you think about content, is it excitement and joy and innovation and creativity, or is it dread and doom and Ugh, here we go. If it's any of those negative thoughts we got to, we got to clean that up. Because moving forward, content will always be an important part of your business. Okay. So get your brooms. Start cleaning it up. Get the mop out. Okay, get the Fabuloso, mix it with some water, clean up the content. You know, negativity that we have in your mind. I love you. Having an amazing day. We'll talk tomorrow.
