Hello, welcome to the LED show. Okay, we have so much fun stuff to talk about today. So I hope you are drinking like your favorite beverage. I dunno, maybe it's a Diet Coke, an iced tea, champagne, whatever it is. Um, pull up a chair or turn it up on the car radio and let's get into it. First thing you may have noticed last episode, um, was a little bit different style because I've started a YouTube channel. It's at Alle DC. If you wanna follow me on YouTube, we're gonna be YouTube sensation over here. But seriously, my goal is to just reach as many boutique and brand owners as possible. And I want, I've been wanting to start my own YouTube channel for a while. So, um, I, I was, I was actually doing shorts on there, but I just recorded my very first, like, full length YouTube video. And what I did was I also, um, uploaded it to the podcast. So I'm gonna start adding more of that into the podcast where it's like the YouTube video streaming. As a podcast as well. So I'm gonna be peppering that in. Um, also, oh, this is so exciting. Oh my god, so much news. Okay. Also, this month is the trendsetter membership. One year anniversary. Can you fricking believe it? And, and one of the big focuses that's gonna happen inside this community is making sure that you are developing as much as you can your own, like personal development mindset and business skills as the leader of your company. Because I feel like what happens so often is we just put ourselves in the box of being a boutique owner. And what I say is like literally anyone can. Uh, you know, buy some inventory, go online, start selling it, and call themselves a quote unquote boutique owner. Right? But it's a whole nother level when you look at yourself as the leader of a company, I. And this is how you really learn to start to scale by stretching and getting out of the box that you know, the boutique owner box. So I'm gonna be teaching you how to do all of this inside this new space. It's going to be so fricking amazing. So good, so juicy. Okay, so in today's episode, I wanted to just remind you a few things about selling and sales because so many times I hear you guys tell me that selling feels really uncomfortable and you just can't seem to get the knack of like how to make it feel good and fun. And not only that, but how to actually make a lot of sales. So. And, and what the one thing I really want you to understand about selling is selling only feels salesy when it comes from a place of you not expressing what your products can do for your customers, and instead just selling product. So when you reframe how you look at selling and you, and you take it away from like selling is like me selling my product. That's what I'm here to do. I'm here to sell product, and that's how you show up, which this is literally 99% of people out there. That is a really hard place to gain any traction from number one. There's so much noise in the online space now that your content is not gonna get seen by the right people'cause there's just too much space and it's or too much noise and people aren't going to stop and pay attention to your content unless it's the magical secret, which is reframing your content to be not salesy. Which is just like salesy. An example of salesy is like you posting selfie photos, you posting new arrivals, you posting products, and not really making that bridge between your brand and your customer. So it's like one thing to have some new arrivals, great, love it. But like how do those new arrivals help your customer in one way? This is the connection that you need to make, and this is when you go from like feeling salesy or looking salesy to all a sudden being a sales powerhouse. You guys selling like across the board, I don't care what industry you're in, but selling comes down to you either like solving someone's problem or. Giving them like a desire or a transformation that they want. It always comes back to like very simple human psychology. So if you're just out here like pushing products 24 7, you're missing out on the most important piece of the sales puzzle. So what I like to teach inside all of my programs here on the podcast is how you can actually show up and bring that human connection back. Because you guys know, you may or may not know, I've been on a rant about how human connection has been stripped away from our industry, and it has really affected so many businesses, so much to the fact that they're closing down because they're, they're not getting the education on how to actually sell online. It's not 20, 20. Things are different now. We have to show up, educated, smart, strategic, and like leaders of our company, so selling. Gets to be really fun. It gets to be really simple when you can drown out all the noise around you. Like, oh, the algorithm has to love me and I have to learn SEO, and I have to learn Facebook, Al Facebook ads, and I have to like dot, dot, dot. Like, no. And I'm actually like really encouraging a lot of my clients right now to get back to going live once a week. Yeah, because what that does is it gives you an opportunity, not only does it give you an opportunity to put the reps in and learn about talking and selling your products in a non-salesy way, but it also gets you in front of your audience more so they can learn that you are not just a, like a sales person out there just pushing product like you're a real person. You have a real heart, you, you know, you have stuff that can really help them in their lives and just making sure that. You are, you're paying more attention to this one key component. Because what I see a lot in, like, a lot of you will DM me and be like, ally, you know, I've been trying, do, do, do, it's not working and that kind of thing. And it's like, it always comes back to this like getting good at selling and getting a great content strategy together, getting a great sales strategy together. Honing in and building your skills as a leader will be the most important thing you do. And which, which is why my podcast girl, is you guys are like so dedicated to your businesses. I love it. Like, love it.'cause I get dms from you and you're like, oh yeah, I, I listen to every podcast, I listen to you while I'm driving, or you know, while I'm counting inventory or whatever. And I'm like, yes. Because when you're investing like time in yourself, like even just this podcast. That means to me that says that you are willing to do the work, you wanna do the work you want the success and the growth. So I'm like high fiving you over here for that. By the way, can you tell like my voice, I'm getting fricking sick again. The, these pre-K kids, you know, they are just little germ monsters. And then my son brings it home to me and I'm like, no, I can't do any more sickness. So I don't think I've ever been sick as much as I have as my son starting pre-K this year. So we're, it's almost summertime, so we're almost getting a little break here. But yeah. Anyways, so the bottom line is. Make sure you're diving into learning how to sell Jump inside the Trendsetter program. I have so many great trainings on this. Get really familiar with your ideal customer, but then also spend the time thinking about how your products can help your people. Like I wanna challenge you before you post one more. Inventory or one more new arrival or one more product on any of your social media. I wanna challenge you to do this. Think about how this product is going to help your customer remember, either solve a problem that they have or give them some kind of transformation. And a transformation can literally be something like, you wanna be the hottest girl at the party. Here's the this red mini dress. Like that. That's a transformation. They wanna be the hottest girl at the party. Like it's not, this is not, it does not have to be rocket science, right? It's not like you want to be like a rocket scientist, right? Like, that was a funny example. But it just, it can be very simple. You wanna feel good in your clothes, you wanna feel put together. You wanna feel more confident when you.dot, dot. You're tired of showing up to drop off your kid in the drop off line in like your frumpy, you know, leggings and t-shirt, and you wanna feel like a little bit more put together. We don't judge why people want what they want, but it's our job to understand that selling is about giving them what they want. It's not about us selling our products, our businesses, as much as we'd like to think is about us, it's literally 0% about us. Maybe 1%, but 99% of having a successful business means it's about the customer. Customer focused. Customer focused. Okay. I love you. I'm so excited to just.
