Hey friend, okay, so I actually stopped mid thing I was doing because this just popped into my head and I wanted to come on here and make a quick little podcast about this, because I know this is something that so many of my girlies out there boutique owners, brand owners, anyone who sells physical products really struggles with this. So I want to have just a quick little convo about it to make sure that you, if this happens to you, you recognize it and you go. I'm doing something that I know is not good for my business, because right now, you actually probably think it is good for your business. What I'm talking about is piling on more things, because you think more things is going to equal more success. So this could look like you and if you're doing this, don't judge yourself Totally normal. That's literally the reason why I'm making this podcast, because I know this is so, so, so common amongst business owners, and especially women like us, where we're like figure it outers I just made that word up. Do you like that? We're figure-it-outers right, we figure it out in all areas of life. We are experts at figuring it out, but when it comes to running a business, sometimes we just can't figure it out on our own or we're not doing the right things that actually matter.
Speaker 1:Because here's the deal we have so much access to information right now. Right, we've got TikTok, we've got YouTube, we've got Google, we've got Instagram. This person's telling you to do that, that person's telling you to do this, this YouTube person's saying this, this, and that this podcaster's telling you that. That, that, right, we have so much information which is freaking great, it's great, it's at our fingertips, it's free, it's incredible. But what happens is we can get shiny object syndrome and listen, I've been there that. This is why I know this happens, because I've literally been here. I've been through this, where you start piling on all these different things that people tell you works, filing on all these different things that people tell you works.
Speaker 1:Next thing, you know you're trying to be an expert in 100 million different things for your business, so you're trying to learn how do I become a TikTok star? How do I, you know, get more followers on Instagram? How do I get more reach? How do I use Pinterest? How do I use Google SEO? How do I run Facebook ads? How do I build an email list? How do I use email marketing, so like it becomes this never ending list and what happens is, is you kind of get crappy at a lot of things instead of getting really good at just a few things? Am I right? Are you like? Oh yeah, that's me. Listen, I can do a lot of things. I'm kind of crappy at them, but I can do a lot because I kind of have a little bit of knowledge about how it works. Again, this is so common.
Speaker 1:So many women fall into this trap as business owners because we're just trying to do our best. Again, we're figure it outers. We're just trying to figure out as much as we can on our own. Because, if you're like me, you didn't jump into your business knowing really, maybe really very little about running a business or running your specific business. I didn't know anything. I jumped in like blindfolded. I say I jumped out of a plane and I built my parachute on the way down, right, it's like you just went for it and I love you for that and that's what makes incredible entrepreneurs and business owners.
Speaker 1:But now you're at the point where you got to sift through the BS and do what works and really make a commitment to yourself to put the blinders on and stop getting distracted by all the million different things. Listen, 90% of the time you don't need a better logo, you don't need a new website designer. You don't need to hire logo. You don't need a new website designer, you don't need to hire someone to. You know, optimize your website right. You just need to focus on the few activities that really matter, and this is what my programs are about. I've already sifted through all the BS so I can tell you you don't need to know that right now. Maybe when you hit 20K per month in sales, we can talk about you running Facebook ads, but right now you don't know how to reach your target audience with your content. So if you spend money on Facebook ads, it's going to flop and you're going to be really annoyed because you spent a bunch of money on ads and they quote, unquote didn't work, and they didn't work because it's not the right thing for you in your business right now.
Speaker 1:So what I'm able to do as a coach with my clients, with you guys, even in my free programs, which I have million dollar moves coming up. Speaker 1:And what you'll notice when you join my programs is you get what you should be focusing on and we eliminate the things that you should not be focusing on. And I tell you why. Okay, like why certain things you need to work on right now in your business and why other things are totally not necessary and you're just wasting time and effort spinning your wheels doing something that's not going to affect your business the way we need it to right now. So if you're doing still like under 10k per month in sales, or even under 20k per month in sales, there's certain things you need to be doing to be building the foundation for your success. Otherwise, you're going to keep trying to build your walls and put your cute little, you know designer kitchen in and build your second story, and it's always going to crumble because you don't have the solid foundation and that is an exhausting place to live. It is exhausting trying a million different things as a figure it outer and you can't figure it out, okay. So if this is you right now, again so normal.
Speaker 1:But what I want to tell you is don't keep piling more stuff onto your list. Join Million Dollar Moves. Learn what you actually need to do. Okay, I just literally want you to do this. I mean, I would love for you to do this with anybody, but I know that I have like the best framework. I don't even mean to like toot my own horn here, but I'm an expert at this. Like this is what I do. I am so good at like fast, quick, this is what I do. I am so good at like fast, quick, highly potent, very impactful actions to grow your business, because that's how I run my six and seven figure businesses.
Speaker 1:Because, listen, I'm busy. I don't have time to dilly dally. I don't have time to, like you know, be all over the place. I got to get focused because I want a lot of revenue for the effort that I put in. Okay, I only have a few hours a day to work on my businesses. I'm very busy. I got kids, I got lots of things going on, and so those few hours that I can spend need to be freaking potent, af. And I want the same for you also, because who wants to be married to their business 24-7? That's not fun. Listen, I've been there too and I love working. I love working, but I find that I am most happy when I have a decent balance right.
Speaker 1:I always say at peace and on fire. That's my mantra, that's the mantra in my community, inside Trendsetter. We say at peace and on fire because there is a certain like. It's like this confidence and this air of just zen when you know you're doing the right action steps every single day and you are no longer having to stay up till two in the morning watching some random Shopify guru tell you like how to set up some weird backend thing. Okay, I love them, like there's time and a place for people you know for different things and I appreciate their hustle.
Speaker 1:But this is coming from someone that literally all I do is exactly what you do every single day, and I've done it for over 12 years. So I've cut through all the BS and I'm proud of that. And I'm even more proud that I have an incredible team that does the daily operations of my businesses. Now I don't have to ship boxes, I don't have to worry about orders, I don't have to do customer service. My job now is only about bringing in revenue. So I have the time and the freedom to tell you guys about my journey and how I was able to build a seven-figure business, how I'm planning to do $250,000 in sales in January.
Speaker 1:These things light me up, because I know you need this information, because Lord knows, I freaking needed it and it wasn't out there, it wasn't available, and now it's like the opposite there's too much out there. And so the industry, the girls in the industry, the women coming up, the women who have even been in it for a while, like I have a lot of boutique owners who've been in the business for a while now and things have changed and they're like I don't know what to do anymore, because things used to be easy for me and now it's so freaking hard to sell one thing and I'm like I know I get it. It's a different time, a different place. We have to evolve with the times and approach it from a very strategic way to eliminate the burnout that you're about to do and throw away everything you've built. Okay, so if this is, you be like oh God, she's talking to me Because things have changed and luckily, like I said, I have a team that's able to keep the business rolling.
Speaker 1:It runs so good, you guys, I mean it's way more efficient. And incredible, because I am not in it as the bottleneck, right, because sometimes the owner we're like, oh, I don't know, and they're just efficient and they have a plan and it works and they grind it out every single day and it's just so incredible to watch them, to watch my team. You guys, I can't wait. If you don't have a team yet, this is one of the best things that will ever, ever, ever happen to you. And you're gonna feel so weird in the beginning and you're gonna be like, wait, but I still wanna do everything. And slowly, you're gonna delegate tasks over and over and over and you again at peace and on fire. This freedom to do what you're really freaking good at in your business oh my god, this is when things really scale. We'll be talking about all this, by the way, inside million dollar moves as well. It's going to be the best epic free, four-day training and challenge with me, so I can't wait to spend this time with you.
