SPEAKER_00:

Hello, welcome to the Alley D show where we talk all things product-based business. I uh my goal in life is to turn you into a sales machine, turn you into someone who is so confidently showing up for their business every single day. You know exactly what to do to generate sales, how to create orders, how to build a customer base that's obsessed with everything that you sell. This is my whole goal. Another topic that I wanted to bring to the table today that just obviously revolves around turning you into a sales machine, is a couple of things that I've found are really, really important to the growth of your business. So if you are someone who is wanting to scale this thing and take it big, there's a couple of things, a couple of lessons that I've learned along the way that I feel have really made a massive difference in why I've been able to pull away from the status quo from everybody else and create a business that is just it just amazes me. It is a well-oiled machine. We just got an$82,000 order yesterday, purchase order.$82,000 in one order. And this is the norm now for me. There was a time where we were like just trying to force every single sale, and now things just run very, very smoothly. I'm so grateful. And I always look back and I think, okay, what are the things that actually set me up to be able to do this? Not the like, I want to say stupid, but not the stupid things that people Google and look on on TikTok, like how do I go viral or how do I, you know, grow my following on TikTok? How do I get people to watch past three seconds? Like all that stuff you guys can look up, right? But when it comes to the nitty-gritty, the stuff that you really need to learn in order to grow and scale your business, it's number one, you always want to look at someone who's done what you want to do and then learn from them. A lot of people will just try to duct tape all this random advice together. But I'm telling you, like if you really want this thing to be massive, stop listening to all the random advice on the internet and really only tune in to the people that have done what you want to do. Okay, so if you want to build a product-based business that is seven figures or more, and you want to learn how to do that, I can help you with that because I have done that, right? But a lot of people will watch TikTok and they'll see like some random person giving marketing advice. And I'm like, okay, cool, great. I'm glad you know like a little bit about marketing, but like, have you built a seven-figure product-based business? Because if you haven't, I'm not gonna go to you for advice. I'm gonna go to the people that I believe have actually accomplished or have actually accomplished what I want to do. That's where I'm gonna like hang out and get my advice from. So I'm glad you're listening to the LED show because you're more than likely a product-based business owner and you more than likely want to build something fabulous. So I'm your girl for that. So welcome. Okay, let's get into the first thing I want to talk about today that I believe is going to really help you rise above the rest. And this is this may be like a little bit of a shocking topic for you because we haven't talked about it, quite frankly, enough. And I want to bring more of this conversation to the table because this is one of those like silent things that is not very glamorous, but literally is make or break it when it comes to your business. And this is developing you as a leader, your leadership skills. Now, if someone would have told me this 10 years ago that it was important for me to develop my leadership skills, I wouldn't have got it because I would have been like, huh? What do you mean? Like, I'm not a leader, like I have like one helper, right? Like I'm leading myself. I have one helper, but the reality is, is every single day you are leading your business. Whether you have employees, whether you don't have employees, whether you have, you know, part-time help, whatever the case may be, you are the leader of your business. Every decision you make, every move you make, every move you make. Sorry, I couldn't help, but that song popped into my head. But seriously, every move, every decision, everything that you do is because of your leadership skills. And where a lot of people get cray cray in this world is they haven't developed their leadership skills. And so they operate from a very spazzy place, like a chaotic place. Too much on your plate, don't know what to do, can't figure it out, don't know how to ask for help, don't know how to lead. And this is gonna be a big issue. Because you know, you know the first thing you need to learn about leadership? It's how to lead yourself. You gotta learn how to lead yourself, sister. When things are not going your way, or you feel like there's been a you made a mistake, or you're unsure about a product that you you presented, or a drop didn't go the way that you planned, or maybe a, you know, a reel that you worked really hard on, got three likes. If you don't know how to lead yourself through those things, you're not gonna be able to lead your business to success. You're not gonna be able to do this. I hate to say it, but leadership skills are one of the most important things that you need to understand. And I'm not talking about like, how do you walk into a room and like lead the room? I'm talking about you need to understand the mindset that it takes to run a successful business. And the earlier you work on this, the earlier you really focus on this, the more success you're going to have. And I am so peeved that I did not have this conversation with anybody or any kind of mentor or anything early on in my business, because this truly would have been a game changer for me. And this would have been something that would have allowed me to have scale, scaled, and grown a lot faster because I would have understood that not only is it important for me to, you know, show up on social media every day to promote my products, but how I'm leading the business top to bottom, even if it's just leading yourself, right? This is where you learn discipline. And as you guys know, I am a I am a massive proponent of discipline because I believe that literally at the end of the day, that's all it's about is like who is the most disciplined, who can show up, who can truly lead themselves through the ups and the downs, and really like, oh, I'm just getting this picture of you just like standing there like a boss, hands on hips, right? Like I'm here to freaking lead. I'm not here to be an emotional wreck. I'm not here to, you know, ride an emotional high when I get a sale and then feel like everything's falling apart when no one buys for me for three days, or I don't hear the Shopify Cha-Ching, and like I get emotion emotionally attached to every single decision, every single factor, every single thing that's going on in the business. It all like the the my mood depends on the success of the business or me showing up for the business. And if I'm not in the mood, I'm not gonna do what I need to do. This is not leading yourself. This is allowing the business to run you, this is allowing external factors predict how you show up, and this is exhausting. It is so much more fun, so much more fulfilling when you show up as the leader and you lead. Like, how many times am I gonna say the word lead in this podcast? But when you truly show up and lead yourself, everything is going to feel so much more aligned. You're also gonna learn to trust your gut, trust your instincts. Like, there are so many magical things that come from you understanding leadership. Not to mention, okay, first we gotta master you leading yourself. Okay, that's number one. You do what you say what you're gonna do, you show up when you say you're gonna show up. It doesn't depend on your mood or like how you're feeling or the vibes. Leaders lead. No matter what the environment hands them, okay? You gotta learn this skill. Lead yourself. Then you gotta learn how to lead your business, right? There's skill in here. This is experience, okay? Leading your business comes with experience. You're not gonna know on day one exactly everything you need to do to lead your business. But as long as you continue to lead yourself and show up with integrity, you'll learn how to lead your business. And that's the next portion. And then you're gonna learn how to lead your people, your team, your helpers, the people that are helping part-time, like whether it's friends, family, whoever, you need to show up and be able to lead them in a way that benefits you and your business. That's your job as the leader, right? Everybody's counting on you, including you, to learn these skills. We don't want, we don't want you just like floating around every day. Like, oh, I don't know what to do today. How am I gonna get some sales? Maybe I should go live on TikTok, maybe I should do this, this, and that. It's like, nope. We get a plan, we stick to the plan, we push forward. So leadership is the first thing. If you want, and and shoot me a DM and let me know, but if you want, I can put together some like some good leadership uh books, but I it's a little bit hard because it's more about learning like how to lead yourself and self-discipline. Like atomic habits is a good one, um, but making sure that you're focusing on building good habits, building good skills. I really want you to do this, okay? Like, I want you to dedicate like 30 minutes a week to your own leadership and and bettering yourself, personal development, guys. So freaking key. Because at the end of the day, you are the head honcho. And three years from now, or a year from now, or six months from now, when you have a team of 10 people and they're you know, they're counting on you to listen, people want to feel they want to feel good and have pride in what they're doing too. And if you're not leading them, they they're gonna feel like a failure because they don't know what you need. And they're just gonna float around. And as you know, if you're floating around, it's not in a fun place to be. It's way more fun to feel like you got your shiz together than it is to be floating around. The same thing is gonna be for your team. They're gonna want to feel like they have their shiz together, they don't want to feel like they're floating around or don't know what to do. So it's it's a very much a trickle-down effect. And like I said, the earlier you learn this, like you need to learn this right now. You need to start learning leadership right now. Okay, super duper important. The second thing I want to talk about today that I believe is what is going to separate you from everybody else, because you're gonna know these skills and you're gonna be like so ahead because you're gonna have the knowledge of what it takes to actually build a seven-figure business, like the true knowledge. Again, it's not the things that you can Google. It's this freaking stuff, these conversations, which this probably doesn't sound glamorous. If you're like, oh, I just wanted to tune in today so Allie could teach me like the three steps to you know having a viral hook. Like, oh, I can teach you that, but you can also Google that, right? But this is the stuff that you can't Google, and it's not very glamorous. I mean, to me it is, because I know this is the real sauce, like I know this is what's gonna get you the money that you want, the wealth, the happiness. Like, I know that this is the cheat code, these things I'm teaching you right now, but most people are just gonna tell you it's the other like stuff, like how to get a thousand followers in 10 days, right? It's so not that. It's so not that. Okay, so the second thing I want you to focus on this week. And I talked about this today inside Let's Go Girls, which is my space. If you are not in this, like I am telling you, you need to get inside Let's Go Girls right now. Every day I get DMs from the women inside that are like, oh my god, Allie, that was like the best 10 minutes. Thank you so much. I do like 10 to 15 minute drops every single day, daily audio drops, where you get strategy, you get lessons, you get behind the scenes, you get mindset, you get everything you need to build a million-dollar company every single day in bite-sized pieces so you can actually put it to work. It is so freaking good. And you want to know the crazy thing? It's$33 to join. Okay?$33. And if you don't like it, you can cancel it at any time. But you're gonna freaking love it. Cause I know because I get DMs every day from the women inside, they're like, oh my god. So that's just a side note. I talked about this today inside Let's Go Girls, and I want to bring it to the podcast too, but it's a very, very important skill you've got to master. Fricking master. And this is a skill that I feel like I just naturally had. I didn't realize how important it was to the success in business, to success in business. I didn't, I had no idea. I just kind of did it because it was just, it's just who I am. But again, now that I'm like looking back and thinking about all the things that really are game changers, this is gonna be very important for you. You need to be patient. Okay, you need to learn some patience. Patience is what has allowed me to get to the place where I'm doing six figures per month in sales. I was never someone who was like, I have to do this now, I have to do this fast. If it doesn't work in the next three months, like I'm not doing this. Like, I never had any of those thoughts. And if you do, God bless you, that is a hard place to be, and it's a hard place to grow from because that type of pressure and stress on you and your business is gonna do zilch for your growth. And you're definitely not gonna feel any kind of joy or happiness doing this as well. So, what I knew from the beginning is like I was in this for the long haul. I wasn't thinking like I gotta make$10,000 per month in the next six months, or I I've like never gave myself any of those kinds of deadlines. I've reinvested in the business to this day. Almost everything we make is reinvested back into the business because I am here for the long haul. And my goal is just to be able to do something that I'm passionate about and make a crap ton of money doing it. Like that is the true at-peace and on fire mantra that I live by. It's what's allowed me to buy the fancy, expensive milk this week and also pay off my car loan early. I did it yesterday. I just paid off my car loan early because I could. I had the money, it was burning a hole in my pocket, and I was like, okay, let's go, let's just pay this sucker off. Right? It's because I've been able to build a business that provides for me and my family. And I want you to do the same, but you gotta have some patience. Everything you're doing today, you are building for the future you, not the right now you. Okay, and this is where people get hung up and this is where they quit because they can't stand the fact that they're planting the seed today and they don't have the harvest in the next hour. You plant the seed today, you cultivate it, you nurture it, you water it, you do all the things, and then one day you get to reap the harvest. But those two things do not happen on the same day. And if you're someone that has to have a lot of like really fast wins, you gotta check yourself on that. Because that's not what this business is about, especially if you want to do something that's gonna build and build and build to where you are doing six figures per month. Okay. It takes patience and it takes you again leading yourself with that mentality. Now, the good thing about this, and you know, being in this space or being in Let's Go Girls, being inside Trendsetter University, whatever, working with me in any capacity, is you learn the action steps to be taking. Because what I don't want you to do is like end up doing like a lot of like random advice, wrong stuff, get way off track. You spend six months planting like the wrong seed, right? And then like the harvest comes and you're like, oh, this is not what I what I wanted. Like, I barely got anything out of this, right? We want to make sure you're planting this the right seeds and you're nurturing them the right way. That's why you're in the spaces, that's why I say you gotta learn from people who are doing what you want to do. It's so valuable. So you learn the right things, and then again, you are setting the future you up for success. This is what being patient is all about. And it's just truly, I feel like it's one of the skills that no, like, I don't know that I've ever heard anybody say anything like this. Because it's not glamorous. Someone tells you to be patient, it's like one of the worst things you can hear as someone who's like jazzed and excited and energized and wants the best and wants it right now. Listen, I get it. We all want really spectacular results, but the more you can learn to just chill the F out a little bit and hang in there and show up and do the right thing, lead yourself through problems, lead yourself through the ups and downs, and just know you're in it for the long haul. There is no final destination that sounded dramatic. There is no like finish line here. There's not the point where you like get to the finish line and you're like, Yay, I did it, right? It's like a never-ending journey. And we just get more and more and more and more ahead, and we look back, and that's how we measure our success. We look back and we say, Wow, look how far I've come in the last three months. Look how far I've come in the last two weeks, look how far I've come in the last 10 years. That's how you measure your success. It's not from where you want to go, it's from where you've been. So if you've been look back and you go, wow, just three months ago, I wasn't even posting on social media. Now I'm posting every single day. That is a frickin' win. That's how you measure success and you actually stay happy. Because if you're trying to measure success on some future unattainable ideal goal, it ain't ever gonna happen because that goal is always gonna get bigger and bigger and farther and farther. It's like you're chasing the horizon, right? You never catch it. Instead, I want you measuring success from where you've come from. This is this is a a premise called The Gap in the Gain, which is another fabulous book, The Gap in the Gain. You want to live in the gain, right? You want to live in how far you've come. That's where true happiness and joy lies. But that is a conversation for another podcast because I could go on and on and on about that forever. But what I do really, really, really want you to focus on, focus on your leadership skills, focus on being patient. And I want you to put that at the forefront this week. Maybe grab the book Atomic Habits. Find some kind of, you know, self-development, personal development book. Because again, remember, at the end of the day, your business will only be as good as you are. You get what you are, not what you want. Right? Your results right now are because of who you are and how you're running your business right now. So, how do you get better results? You get better and you build your skills better. And those two things will be the magic combination. But I want you to have patience, I want you to have grace, I want you to have like, I definitely want you to celebrate yourself more. Definitely. None of this talking down, none of this, you know, oh, I'm not where I want to be. Like that that talk is not gonna get you where you want to be. I want you to flip that and go, look how far I've come. We are on our freaking way. We're on the way, we're on the way to something big here. Okay, I hope you have an incredible day. Please DM me.
