SPEAKER_00:

What is up? Welcome to the Al ED podcast, the LED show. I am really excited about this episode today. First of all, hello to all the new listeners. You guys, we are blowing up over here, and it is so exciting because my whole entire goal and purpose when I started this like project three years ago was to be able to help the entire retail industry level up our standards as a whole. And so for me, the more people that find the podcast, find the Instagram account, find the programs, find the things, the more I know that our industry is going to take back the reins, especially for the, you know, I hate this word, but I'm gonna use it. Small business owners, right? Those of us that are small business owners that are trying to really make our mark in this world, right? Trying to build something iconic, trying to build something that is going to make us real money, real wealth, maybe even something we could pass on to our kiddos. I mean, that's my dream. We'll see if they want to do anything that I'm doing. They're only four and six right now, but that's like the goal of this entire thing is to level up the industry as a whole. So please share this with your friends, your business besties, your boutique besties, your brand besties, anyone that's in the retail industry, excuse me, anyone that sells physical products online, let them know about this space. I am just thrilled that we have so many new listeners. So I want to say hello to you out there. If this is one of your first episodes you're listening to, you are in the right place. If you are interested in growing your product-based business to seven figures and beyond, because that is what we talk about here. It's strategy, it's behind the scenes, it's mindset, it's lessons, it's everything you need for your toolbox to make sure this can happen for you. Because let me tell you, I 1 million percent believe that you can do this. I know this. I already know if you're listening to this podcast, you are seeking out answers to make yourselves better. So many people go into this and they're like, oh, I can't figure it out. Okay, whatever, I'm closing my doors. Not you. You are seeking out the answers, and that is half the battle, is just knowing that you need to improve in areas and like letting the ego go and saying, I know what I need to improve, I know I need to become a better business person because guys, at the end of the day, your business is only as good as you are. So, whatever skill level you're at right now, that is directly correlated to your results. So many people want to like skip something and just be able to have massive results without actually having the skill level that it takes and the experience that it takes. And I don't BS you here. I tell you, you need to get better. You have to get better skills when it comes to content, when it comes to email, when it comes to strategy, when it comes to foundations, when it comes to messaging, all of that needs to level up for you to have the success that you want. And I do not sugarcoat it. And in fact, this is where I'm going with this today. So we were having a call inside the Trendsetter University today, which is one of my favorite spaces. This is a place where you get like the full A to Z course inside of a portal that tells you everything you need to know about building your seven-figure product-based business. Okay, like literally everything. We go over it all in there. No stone is left unturned. But what makes the space so different and fun is that in addition to you just having access to the portal of trainings, you all have access to me as well. So every single month we have a Zoom call. That's what we just had. And then we also have Telegram every other week where you can drop your questions in there because I fully believe that in order for you to have success, you have to have support during the implementation process. And I think this is where so many people miss it that are trying to teach and help people online is they don't understand that you cannot just drop someone into a portal of trainings and wish them well and like say, have fun figuring it out. You guys need support when it comes down to how do you actually implement it into your own business. Questions come up all the time, and this is where people get stalled and they don't see progress because they just get in their own head and they can't figure it out. They understand the concept, but they don't understand how to apply it to their own business. So that's why I believe in the implementation portion of this trendsetter university so much, which is getting access to me, helping with you, helping you figure out how to implement it into your business and answering questions for you. So a question came up today that was literally so, so, so good. I want to bring it to the podcast and expand on it a little bit more and talk to you about this for your business so you can understand that this is literally the whole thing when it comes to actually building a business online, selling products, okay? Because there's a lot of little nuances that I think people skip over that at the end of the day are the major money makers and the things that actually bring in real repeatable sales for you. So you guys know that all the time I talk about how important it is to figure out who your customers are and what is their lifestyle and really get dialed in on that. So, one woman inside Trendsetter University, she's really, really getting good at this, and it's like showing in all of her engagement, like everything is just blowing up across YouTube, across Instagram, like TikTok, all the work that she's been doing every single day, showing up and posting is coming to fruition, right? And this is what happens when you have a freaking content strategy, okay, and you post for a reason, and then it starts to work for you like a magical little customer funnel, okay? So the big thing though, here, and this is where a lot of people get this funky and there's the disconnect, is not only do you have to have the right kind of content to attract the right person, but then you need to make sure that you have the right product offering as well. So, and this is when it becomes so freaking easy, you guys, when it's just like a no-brainer. People find you online and they buy from you really, really fast. It shortens the whole time between like when they find you and when they buy. Cause sometimes that can be a really long time. Sometimes someone can find you and not buy from you for weeks, months. I've even had like people not buy from me for a year. Like, find us, sign up for the email marketing list, and then a year later buy from an email. Okay, like we don't really care how long it takes. I mean, obviously we want to shorten that time, but we just want them to buy at some point. But what I'm telling you is the way you do shorten that time and get someone to buy maybe the first time they even find you, or the second or third, which is really, really good. The average is like six to seven times, which you probably heard me talk about that before. So there's an average amount of time that people need to see your stuff before they actually make a purchase. And it's usually around six or seven times of seeing the same thing. Okay, like literally the same thing. This is why we don't care about repeating ourselves. They need to see it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, literally that many times until they decide to buy. So the way that we can shorten that, and maybe they just need to see it over and over, just a couple times, is that we need to make sure that our messaging in all of our content online is directly aligned with our product offering. And if there's any kind of disconnection there, that's when things can go awry or take a really long time to build the business that you want because the messaging and the products are off. So, for example, let's say you have for me, okay? Let's do me for an example. We sell Western apparel, then it's a very specific niche, okay? But if I were to be just trying to go viral with, like, let's say it was mom content, like funny mom content. And that's like what I, you know, that's how I attracted the viewers to my page or the the um you know, the Instagram viewers, let's just pretend we're on Instagram, and all my like content that I was doing, like my content that we call our B-seen content, which is our content that's just trying to get eyeballs onto our page. If I was just posting like random mom content, right, which by the way, I love, and my personal Instagram feed, that's what I get because I think it's I I just love it and I share it like with all my mom friends, right? It's like funny things about being a mom. But if I were to use that in my on my brand page, just should solely to get visibility, it would become very frustrating because what would happen is I would have all these videos that would probably go viral because I know exactly what it takes to get, you know, this type of content to hit online. But where the disconnect is is yeah, I'd be getting all these eyeballs on my page. But either number one, the other content on my profile is not aligned with why they found me in the first place, or number two, the products that are that I'm selling are not aligned with why they found me in the first place, right? So if they find me because it's a funny mom meme, like, oh, mom life is so hard, Todd, those are crazy, right? And everyone's like liking that and whatever. But then they get to my page and they see it's Western t-shirts. Like, cool, they found my page, but the chances of them buying from me just dropped drastically because there's a disconnect there between my content that I'm using to draw people to my page and what I'm actually selling. So, this is what I was talking about inside Trendsetter University today is making sure that the effort we're putting into our content to be seen also makes it an easy bridge to our actual products that we're trying to sell. Because we're not just trying to go viral every single day, right? Like we don't really care about that. What we do care about, and we care about it a lot, is getting our page in front of the right people that are most likely to buy our stuff. So the way that I would do that instead, so instead of posting mom content that I know is gonna go viral, I'm gonna get a lot of visibility, but I'm not gonna get any sales because there's no connection there, right? Instead, I'd have to shift my strategy. So now the way that I get more eyeballs on my page is talking about something Western related, right? This may seem obvious, but a lot of you are missing out on this. And this is the whole key here about online selling. Okay, so now my content that I'm using to get into people's feeds, my B-seen content that has nothing to do with my products now, I'm switching it over to something that's like maybe a funny thing about you know, riding a horse or owning horses or being a ranch wife. Getting I'm getting more in the niche of what the products are that I actually sell to make sure when these people do find me, it's the right product for them. And they're like, oh my god, that meme was so funny. Let me share it. Oh, wait, what is this page? Oh, Allie D brand. Oh, oh my god, they sell like Western t-shirts. That's so funny because I just shared this Western meme and now she sells Western t-shirts, and there is an immediate connection there, and it makes it a really quick buy. Right. I was telling the the girls inside the university today, I said it's almost like if you were selling peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, okay, and you were creating like funny memes or content around peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and people find you and they're like, oh my god, this is so funny about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches too. And then they go to your website and you're selling grilled cheese. It's still a sandwich, right? But it's not a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and they found you because of your peanut butter and jelly sandwich content. So don't try to sell them a grilled cheese, sell them a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, right? It has to all be aligned. And the better you get at this, the more sales you're gonna get, my friend. So right now, it's almost like audit yourself and your content. What is the type of content that you're posting right now just for visibility, and you may not even be doing this part. So you gotta be posting content that has nothing to do with products and is strictly lifestyle related. Okay. I'm gonna give you a few quick examples. Let's say you sell like yoga workout clothes, you should be posting like funny in funny or inspirational yoga tips, maybe, or like a funny quote about what it's like in yoga or like an inspirational thing about yoga, like posting content around yoga that has nothing to do with what you sell, but then people find you from that type of content because it's very hard to get into people's feeds just posting about your products. Okay. I'm gonna be real with you right now. It's very freaking hard and it will be very exhausting and you will burnt out. But once you add this style of content in, okay, we call this the be seen content in my trendsetter content strategy. There's a whole thing about this. You can learn all about this in the in the university, by the way. If you're interested in that, just DM me, I'll get you the link. But this style of content is a must have in your content strategy. And if you don't have it, you're not gonna have as much success as you should be. Okay. So this style of be seen content, again, yoga company, you're posting funny yoga quotes, or maybe tips about yoga, or maybe five things I learned attending my first yoga class, or five things, five benefits from yoga, whatever it is. We're posting content around yoga that has nothing to do with our products, which are the yoga outfits. Okay. Another example would be like, um let's say you sell, okay. I'm gonna use an example that's like fresh on my mind because this is one of my clients, but like let's say you sell stuff that's like very much around small town living, rural life, um, like farming, homesteading, all of that. Your content to get into their feeds needs to be like, here's uh my favorite sourdough recipe, or here's three things that I love about homesteading, right? People will find you from that style of content and then go to your page, follow you because they see you also sell, sell the products that match the lifestyle that they love, right? And this is where the magic happens. This is where your business will explode. You have to make the bridge very easy and very seamless. So when someone finds you from your content and they walk across your bridge and they knock on the door at your website, when you open that door, you are serving them on a silver platter exactly what they came there for. Otherwise, they're gonna turn around and walk away. And we don't want that to happen. So this is where you have way more control than you realize in the success of your business. Because if you can nail this little magical combo, the magical content and product combo where they're together, they're united, they are aligned, they feel effortless, they feel like no brainers, this is when the magic happens. But if you don't have those two things aligned, it will be a very bumpy, frustrating, annoying, and exhausting road. And though I don't want that for you, if you don't do this, that will happen. I love you, but it will happen. Okay. So this is just a friendly reminder. And again, I just love this conversation inside Trend Center University today so much that I was like, oh, I need to bring this to the podcast because I know you guys need to hear this too. I know you do. It's such an important piece of the puzzle that people just don't understand when it comes to content. They think, oh, it's just about posting, it's just about going viral, it's just about getting visible. And the answer to that is no. And I'm so tired of people shoving that down your throats and telling you just need to be consistent and post three times a day. And you know the type of people that give you that advice, the type of people that have never done this, that have never truly sold a physical product online and don't understand the nuances and the psychology behind it. But here, the Al ED show and in my world, what we're gonna do is level up our businesses. And then all the other business owners out there are gonna look at us and go, what are those girls doing over there? Like, they're just freaking blowing up. It's because you guys are understanding the nuances that no one's talking about because they don't get this. They don't get it, they haven't done what we're doing, so they don't understand the nuances of what it actually takes to build a business online. And you guys, once you do this, I'm telling you, and you can do this. Like, I have full faith that you can do this. This may take you six months to figure out, and that's okay. Like, don't think you're gonna figure this out like tonight, right? Like, I know you're an overachiever there, like I get it, but you're not gonna figure this out in one night. This is going to be a process that will unfold over weeks and months, and you have to be okay with that, and you have to just stay in the game. And I just want you to be mentally prepared for that. I don't want to like tell you that this is gonna happen overnight, but once you do align these two things, you will see the magic start to happen and the momentum to build, and you'll start getting Shopify Cha-Cings a lot more from random people on the internet that you're like, oh my God, this is not my mom. This is not my sister, this is not my BFF, this is a random person in, you know, um in Ohio that just found my business and loves my stuff, and now I'm shipping out orders to all over the country and globally, and this is how it's built. But you've got to start with these foundations. And again, once you nail this, I'm telling you, it gets so much easier. Everything feels more obvious and in control, and like you have to understand that you do control this part, and this is what it takes to become a better business owner, to build the customer base that is obsessed with everything you sell. It's understanding the sales psychology behind it and making sure that at the very minimum your content and your products are very aligned, and specifically your be seen content, your visibility content, because this is where the whole thing has to come together, and you'll just have that like explosion of oh my gosh, everybody that's finding me is my ideal customer, and they're following me, and I'm getting new followers all day and all night, and I'm getting new orders from these people. This is how you get there, okay? Ah, I love you so much. I'm so excited to have all these great new listeners. You guys are incredible and amazing.
