Why This One Is Different
SPEAKER_00What is up? Welcome to the Al ED show. I'm very excited about today's episode because it's something that is very different than what I normally post. It's it's definitely more personal. Um, sharing kind of more of a a behind the scenes of what I believe is one of the biggest reasons why I've been able to go from zero to building a multi-million dollar company. And it has a lot more to do with what I'm gonna talk about today than any anything else at all. Like more than strategy, more than consistency, more than all the things that all the gurus talk about. Like this is the true actual secret, I believe, to your success because not only do I see this happen when I implement it in my life, but also in all of my clients' lives. I watch them do this and it literally changes their business almost immediately. Almost immediately. So, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna actually drop in after I finish talking here. I'll introduce it, but I'm gonna be introducing and and dropping in an episode from Let's Go Girls. So, Let's Go Girls is basically like my private podcast space. So if you like this podcast, you are going to love Let's Go Girls. It's$33 a month, and you will get an audio from me, an audio recording straight, beamed straight to your phone every day. Every day. So Monday through Friday, you get at least 10 minutes, sometimes less, sometimes a little more. This one was more. This one was a little more, but it's really, really specific, actionable strategy or mindset, behind the scenes, lessons, things that I know women in the retail industry need to hear. Things that are absolutely imperative for you to be able to build the empire of your dreams. So if you love the podcast, you're gonna love let's go girls. Again, it's 33 bucks. I'll put the link under the description in the description on how to join. Um, or you could of course just go to my Instagram page or go to my TikTok page. There will be a link in my bio right there for you to join. Okay, so if you you can always DM me on Instagram too and be like, Ali, send me the link for Let's Go Girls. Um, and I am Ally.d.ceo on both TikTok and Instagram. Though if you're gonna DM me, do it on Instagram. My TikTok DMs are wild. I don't know about you guys, but I always get spammers, people trying to sell me things, people trying to like pretend they're other people. It's all kinds of crazy over there. I feel like Instagram is definitely the master of having like good DMs. So if you're gonna DM me, DM me on Instagram. I will eventually see it on TikTok, but it takes me a while to get through all that junk. So without further ado, here is the episode I am so excited to share with you straight from the Let's Go Girls Vault to the Public Alley D show podcast. Enjoy this episode, and I really hope to see you inside Let's Go Girls soon. Guys, I never in a million years thought I would be where I am today. The proud owner of a multi-million dollar company, the real estate mogul of my tiny town. If you guys saw my IG story yesterday, I posted I'm pretty much like the real estate queen of my town. There's like five buildings in downtown, and I own three of them. So my town is so small. But hey, it's perspective, right? And, you know, living in this house in the beautiful country in Texas and having a front porch with rocking chairs that I could sit on and drink my coffee and look out and not see a single home. I just see wide open spaces and blue skies and green grass and this the smell of fresh air, the smell of rain, like all of these things that I so wanted in my life. Like, so wanted. As a girl who grew up with no yard, okay, like I had no yard. I like if I wanted to play, it was like in the parking spot in front of, you know, the the like condominium complex or whatever, the townhouse, right? Like there was like a little parking lot area where I was like, okay, well, I guess this is where I'll practice my volleyball or whatever it was. I just always, always, always wanted this life, like the exact life that I've created. And there's not a day that goes by that I don't pinch myself and go, oh my god. Like, in fact, tonight I was just sitting in my recliner and I just randomly started crying, thinking about my kids and my husband and my front porch and my beautiful kitchen counter, and you know, that I I gather around with my family all the time. I do I do like five and six-figure deals from this kitchen counter on the regular, like in leggings and a t-shirt. I mean, it's just the wildest thing. But what's even more wild is when I look back and I think of all of like the big moves that I made in my life that I believe were building blocks that got me to this point. And when I look at all the similarities, and this is just for me, but when I look at the similarities of what I had to do to get to this, there was always these like moments in life where I realized that I had to step out of my comfort zone if I wanted to continue to grow. So, like one of the first big moments for me was when I graduated college. I knew that if I stayed, so I grew up in Florida, I went to college in Florida where I grew up, and when when I graduated, I knew that if I stayed there, I would always be that version of myself. Like I I would always be that alley. The alley that was like, uh, not good at school, great at socializing, um, you know, but like not overly talented at anything, definitely not most likely to succeed, definitely never took a business class or ever ever really thought about being a business owner. Like I my goal was just really just to, I don't know, enjoy life and hang out with friends. And I excelled at that for sure. But I realized when I graduated college, I was like, I cannot stay here because if I stay here, I will always be this person. And I had this like inner calling, like this deep inner calling that there was something more out there for me. And I know a lot of you feel like this too. It's why you started your businesses, it's why maybe you feel like different than other people who are like just content going to their nine to fives and you know, they don't really have dreams like you have. And I just had this gut feeling, right? So I moved, I moved across the country, and then I was there for multiple years, and I did things that I always wanted to do, but was too shy or too embarrassed to ever do, like in my quote unquote hometown, because I was too worried about being judged because there was other people that had been doing those things for longer, better, you know, whatever, cuter, prettier, all the things. And one of them, you guys don't laugh at me, but one of the things I always wanted to do was to try to be in a pageant. I never in a million years would have done that in my hometown, though, because like I grew up around girls that had done pageants their whole lives, and they had like their whole living rooms were full of trophies and crowns, and what I thought was cool actually was like the interview part. Like, I just wanted to see if I could answer questions on the fly. Isn't that super weird? So I moved across the country after I graduated college, and one of the first things I did-not actually one of the first things, but probably within the first like two years or so, I entered a pageant. And just because I was like, I just gotta see what this is about. Like, if I can like answer these questions and do good in an interview, like that was my goal, right? I also had to like walk on the stage in a swimsuit and I also had to perform a dance, but that was like, I was like, whatever, I just want to get in the interview. So um, I ended up winning the pageant, right? Like winning first place. They put the freaking crown on my head, and I was like, what is going on here? Oh my god, I have a pageant crown on my head, right? But it was something I never would have done had I stayed where I was comfortable. I had to step out of my comfort zone. And for me, literally go across the country, okay, from Florida to Washington State, okay, to Seattle, where I also got a job as an intern at a TV station, like out of college. Like it was a whole new world for me. And then from there, uh, the next thing I wanted to do was be um an NFL cheerleader. I wanted to try out for cheerleading. I had been cheerleading my whole life. Um, and I never in a million years would have tried out for the Miami Dolphins cheerleaders because that was again like I would have been so embarrassed to even try out because I would have thought everyone would be like, oh my god, that girl's gonna try out, like, ew, like she's not even cute, you know, like whatever. So I, you know, in Seattle, I was like, I'm gonna try out for the Seattle Seahawks cheerleaders. Guys, I made the team on my first try, okay? And then after that, I was like, you know what? I'm gonna try out for the Seattle Supersonics, which is the NBA dance team. The very first try, I made that as well. And I was definitely not the best dancer on the team, but you know what I was good at? I was good at talking and public speaking and appearances, and I knew that they were like, oh, this is our girl for that, right? And they taught me how to dance better and all the things because I came from a cheerleading background. But each one of these little stepping stones gave me confidence to become the person I am today. And what they all have in common, and there's even more of these that I that I recognize in my life, but what they all have in common is I had to step out of my comfort zone to make these happen. Again, if I would have stayed in Miami, I would have never been this person I am today in a million years. Never. But now that I was that I stepped out of my comfort zone into something brand new, new environment, new exciting things, new people I'm around, new motivation, new energy, all of a sudden I I I had confidence to try more and more things that I always wanted to try in my life. And I was thinking about this for you guys and why it's so why I'm so proud of you for being in Let's Go Girls and for taking initiative and to taking control of what's possible for you in your life. Because so many people don't do that. I'm thinking about like I have a lot of friends that I realized after a few years in Seattle, we had been out of college a few years, they started to kind of settle into their lives, right? Like they got a job at an office, or they got a job at a dental clinic, or you know, they they had a boy that they were dating, they got engaged, they got, you know, married, started having kids, like everything just everyone just kind of started settling in. And I was like, I'm just getting started. Like I didn't have that same feeling of like being ready to just like go into chill mode. I st I've never I've never gone into chill mode, even though, even now, even though I'm married with kids and everything, like I'm still not ever get in that chill mode. But what was so cool and fun to look back on is just seeing like really identifying these these key moments in life that took me to the next level, to the next level, to the next level. And then from Seattle, I came to Texas, and that was another shift, a big shift. And like what's great about Texas is I've lived here for over 20 years now, is all of the people here that I'm around are very like they have their own businesses, they're very um, they're they're high achievers, they and and they don't judge each other. There's not a lot of this. It's like there's a lot of pride in Texas, and something that's very unusual and something I hadn't really experienced. And it really, again, opened a lot of doors for me here as I grew out of Seattle and I came here. I grew into my next level, and things keep happening more and more and more great things. And I was able to, you know, start my own business and start my own company and you know, show at markets and get confidence. But every single time I had one of these big milestones, actually big or small, a big or small one, it doesn't matter. I had to get out of my comfort zone to get the the benefits from it, if that makes sense. So I always had to step out of my comfort zone to get to the next level of what I could become. And I always believe that this is the key to success. And I always say everything you want is on the other side of you facing that fear, and it may not feel like fear per se, but it just makes you go, ooh, I'm scared, right? Like it just kind of clams you up a little bit. To me, that's always an indicator. Oof, I have I have butterflies right now thinking about this, but for me, that's always an indicator that there is some kind of uh result or success on the other side of whatever that cringe, scared, kind of like I just say like it kind of like squeeze your butt cheeks. I don't know how else to describe it. You just go, right? There's certain things that you guys are super fearful of or scared of, or you don't want to try, you don't want to step out of your comfort zone. Maybe you're worried about being judged or embarrassed or anything. Like, what I just want this message to do is encourage you to take that leap of faith. Do the scary thing, show up and face the freaking fear, punch it in the face, knock it down, step over it, get to the other side because everything you want is waiting there for you. That is the whole key. And it's been shown to me in my life time and time and time again. All of my super successful friends, we all talk about all these scary freaking things we had to do or these crazy out-of-the-box, uncomfortable things we had to do. Like I'm thinking of some moments I'll share with you guys in another voice note because this is already getting long, but like some moments that I did some really crazy things to grow and scale my business, like flying to other count like other states and meetings and all the things, which I'll get into all that. But what I just want you to go into this weekend with is just knowing that you are 1 million percent capable of building your dream life. I am literally living proof of this. I am not special, I am not like you know, the valedictorian, I'm like none of that. I am just a girl who had belief in herself and was willing to step out of the box over and over and over again. That's all this takes. That's all it is. It's just getting uncomfortable over and over and over and over again. That's what entrepreneurship is, that's what what all the millions of dollars and billions of dollars are always built on. We're the ones willing to step outside of the box, we're the ones willing to do it, we're the ones willing to take the risk. So, right now, just ask yourself where are you still holding back a little bit? Where are you still scared? Where it's not allowing you to punch that fear in the face and step into the next version of you that you are so capable of becoming. The next version of you that has, you know, sales flowing like crazy. I was just having a conversation with one of the women in my mastermind, and like I almost gave her the realization that she didn't she didn't even realize herself, where I was like, you're about to have you're about to make twenty thousand dollars in 30 days. Like, which is a really big deal. When she came to me, this was not at all the the the path that she was on. But this is why mentorship is so great and especially close proximity mentorship, because I'm with you every single week, so I can help you make these these like step into the the fear and come out on the other side because obviously you have some experience in your back pocket, but even just being in here, even just listening to this voice note, I want you to know that this is possible for you. So going from you know, not really knowing where your sales are coming from to hitting a 20K month and not even realizing it, this is what happens when you step into uh the uncomfortable. And this woman certainly did that. She, you know, flew to a show that she's interested in doing and you know, she flew uh she flew across the country multiple times in like six weeks setting her 2026 up for success, which how many of you can say that you're really stepping out there to set yourself up for success? Are you still doing the same things over and over and over again because it's comfortable? Because you know it and you're a little bit scared to take that leap of faith. So this is just a message saying take the frickin' leap of faith. It might be something really small right now. Something really small that you're, you know, having trouble doing or or getting through. It might be a big it might be something big. Maybe it's like, oh, I really do want to open my storefront, I really do want the brick and mortar, right? Like I'm so scared. But what happens is if you don't take the leap of faith, if you don't step out of your comfort zone now, in six months from now, you will be in the same freaking position. And I'm gonna say, I told you so. I told you so in episode 75 when I told you to get out of your comfort zone. You guys, I could talk about this forever, and I know I like to keep these less than 10 minutes. This one was a little lengthy. But it was just on my heart, especially tonight as I was crying in my recliner. I was like, I gotta talk to my let's go girls about this. So, anyways, I have some really fun stuff I have to do this weekend. I have an event tomorrow that I have to go to, which I'm not even allowed to tell you about yet until next week, but I will tell you it's a huge announcement. It's very exciting. So I love you guys. Have an incredible weekend and just go get them, okay?
