And I have been working with a lot of private clients lately, like a lot of them, and this keeps coming up in almost every single private client. So I thought we need to talk about this on the podcast. This is something that's obviously still affecting our industry, still affecting our community. So let's go ahead and dive in and talk about the three things that are killing your sales and actually how to fix them. You ready? Like gimme a little high five out there in, in. Live streaming land. This is the whole point. I love to hear from you guys, so DM me your questions. Okay. So three things I seen killing boutique sales in 2026 and how to fix it, number one in 2026. So many of you still do not have a content strategy, okay? So many of you are still showing up every single day with no idea on how do you social media to actually grow your audience, scale your business, and get sales. And so many of you are still looking at social media through the lens of like. 2018 through 2022, which is a very outdated way of using social media because now there is so many more businesses and people doing everything they can to try to capture attention from your customers, right? So if you are still showing up. Very willy-nilly. Just like not even sure what you're doing, you're just posting pictures of your products, or maybe you're still posting random pictures of like your dog or your family or whatever, with no context and no actual plan on how you're going to take someone from being a stranger on the fricking internet to buying from you. This is a major deal. It's why your sales are suffering, and it is a problem and a mistake that I'm seeing time and time and time again, and we cannot show up this way anymore for our businesses. The days of just posting and praying someone's gonna buy are so over you guys. And if you are still doing this, you are going to get left behind because there's people that are figuring out exactly how to so use social media to their advantage and they're showing up in a very strategic, specific way that is generating sales. And if you don't know how to do this. You're still gonna feel invisible out there. And again, you're gonna feel left behind and I don't want this to happen for you. Okay. This is literally the last thing I want to happen, and I just think that for so long, a lot of people did have it easy and they kind of got stuck in this idea that, oh, like, you know, if I just show up and post my cute products, like people are eventually gonna buy. And that's just not how it works anymore. If you just show up and post your cute products, eventually you're gonna get burned out. You are gonna get overwhelmed. You're gonna get annoyed because you're doing everything you can to actually help your business grow. Everything you think you know you should be doing to help your business grow without seeing the results. And I'm telling you, this is a fast track to burn out and that's not the point of this. The point of having this business, your boutique, your brand, is to have fun, is to make a great you not only to have fun, but to make money, to make a great living for yourself. To create wealth, to be able to use this business, to do what you wanna do in life. Like it's not just to have a little side hobby here. We're just like hoping that something happens with it. And a lot of people are still treating content like that, almost like content is the bottom of the barrel. It's like the last thing you worry about. Raise your hand if you're like, content is always last on my list. I usually like, remember that I need to shoot content and I'm like, oh no, I don't have my makeup on. Like I'll do it tomorrow. And then tomorrow comes. Do you have uh, eight other things on your to-do list? Next thing you know, like content is just bottom of the list for so many of you. But if you want 2026 to be big, that sucker needs to be the most important thing that you do.'cause how do we grow our online businesses now? We use social media. That's the way this is. Like if you wanna sell online, you must be savvy using social media. Otherwise you're just gonna continue to feel like you are banging your head against the fricking wall. And that is not a fun place to be. Believe me, we've all been there, right? But what I was able to do for my businesses, and now what I share with you guys, is I was able to figure out how do we actually fix this? How do we take someone from being a stranger on the internet to buying from us? And if you guys have been following me for any length of time, or if you're in my programs, trendsetter University, or maybe you're my mastermind or whatever it is, you're listening to this, Hey, first of all, hey girls, love you. Maybe you're in. Let's go girls, right? My daily Audio, audio podcast. Okay. I talk about this kind of stuff all the time. You may have already heard the strategy that I teach all of my clients and literally blows their minds. Because within some of them, it's like within days they will go from feeling totally invisible to, oh my gosh, the floodgates have opened. Because there's very specific things that we do. Like, for example, in my brands, everything on social media is strategic. It doesn't look that way. It doesn't look like we're applauding and planning and scheming and this and that. But listen, everything we do is strategy. We're not here just willy-nilly posting and just kind of like, you know. Chilling over here and just like growing accounts, like we are very, very strategic and you need to be this way too. You gotta look at your account like it's something you gotta take seriously. It cannot be at the bottom of the list anymore. Okay? So let's just make a pact right here, right now on the LED show that we are not going to put content at the bottom of the list anymore. We are going to actually make this a really important big deal. And a lot of my private clients, this is the first thing we do. I gotta get you going on content.'cause if we don't have that, it's gonna be really hard to have everything else. And a lot of you need to know, and this is like a whole nother tangent I can get off on, but a lot of you need to know that like you need to be showing up and posting content every single day for your business. Like you actually showing up, not thinking like, I'm gonna batch for seven days and then like, I'm gonna like, you know, show up once or twice a month in my social media like. Actively working on it. No, I would rather, if you're still trying to learn a content strategy, I would rather you actively be posting every single day.'cause what this does is it trains you to recognize it as an important task, right? Like it's not something that's just eh, willy-nilly. It trains you to learn. This is an important task and I have to do it every day. And this like this mindset shift really makes content like skyrocket to the top of the list because you actively are telling your brain that this is important. It's not something I could just batch and check in on once in a while. Social media is not set it and forget it in the beginning, you guys. Not only do you need to understand it's a priority, so you need to show up and do it every day, but also you need to have the data of what works for your social media and what doesn't work. And if you're not actively doing this and like tweaking and learning and shifting in your business, in your socials every day, you will not be able to come up with a a plan that's actually gonna work. Because you're just too far behind or too far removed from what's going on in your social media. So you need to be able to like post, then the next day, see how it did, and the next day kind of review a couple and then tweak and then go, oh, you know what? That really worked well, let me, let me do more like that. Like you gotta be in this sucker. Okay, so anyone telling you that you can batch social media when you have not figured out a good content strategy yet is a dang liar. Okay? You cannot do it. And not only C can you not do it, you should not do it. Do not batch your content until you understand how this works. Okay? That's a promise number two we're making on the LED show together. No more batching. Batching is just the, uh, death zone for businesses that don't understand this. Am I, am I like making this, you guys getting this enough? I'm making it sound serious because it is. It is truly a death zone. Do not fall into this trap of like, there's gotta be like an easy way to figure this out. Okay? There is no easy way, the the way is the work and the work is hard and it's business. And business can be hard sometimes, especially when we're learning a new skill. But guess what? It does get easier and that's when we can start doing things like batching or delegating because we understand already how it works. We're cool, we're comfortable, we have a system. Okay, let me hand that off to someone else who can do it. But at this stage, if you're listening to this and you're, you feel like your sales are sucking in 2026 and you sell online, your content strategy is not good. Because if you had a really good one, you would have better sales. Okay? So let's just be honest about that. Take a deep breath. Okay? We're gonna have our content strategy. Now I, I did riff on that for a while. So let me just quickly say, what I teach is the trendsetter content strategy, and I will give you a quick lesson in this, but if you wanna go more in depth on this, this is what I teach in my programs. Okay? So what we can do inside private coaching, it's what we do inside Trendsetter University, which is gonna be opening again in a few weeks. And I'm very excited to accept new students, okay? But what I teach is my three Bs, my trendsetter content strategy. It is the be seen content, the build trust content, and the buy from you content. It's three specific types of content meant to do very specific things. I don't post anything on my brand's social media that does not fall under these buckets. Because what's the point? Like I don't wanna waste my effort posting stuff that doesn't actually work for my business at the end of the day. So our BC content is meant to actually get eyeballs onto your page in the first place. This content has nothing to do with the products that you sell. It is very lifestyle oriented. Okay. What is the lifestyle of your customer? Start posting content revolving around that that does not revolve around your products. Okay. Like funny memes, quotes, um, inspirational things. B-roll with like things that they like on it. Okay? Call out to your customer in this content. If you like X, Y, and Z, meet your new family, right? Maybe your, uh, boutique caters to, I dunno, I'm thinking of one of my clients. So it's like if you love grandma, hobbies, making sourdough and quiet nights on the ranch. Welcome to your family, right? You're calling out to very specific people in that be seen content. Next, we wanna focus on our build trust content. This is where we get a little bit more product heavy, but we, we do it in a way that relates to what your ideal customer wants from your products. Not in a generic way, not in a, here's a cute dress. It's like, here's a cute dress that you can, um, bake sourdough in, and then head to church. So it's like a very specific way that we're selling. It's not generic. It's very specific. And then the third type of content I teach is the buy from you content. Okay? This is our content that is meant to take someone who is on the fence about purchasing from you to actually adding to cart and checking out. And this is more of like social proof, UGC, um, packing orders, letting people know that real people buy from you and that they can feel comfortable spending their money with you. So this is the trendsetter content strategy. This is the way that you will actually take people from being totally anonymous strangers to adding to your website. I have another private client I'm working with. We just started implementing this strategy a week ago. She already has multiple sales based on her organic content and the tweaks that she's been making after not having like hardly any sales for months and months and months. Okay, you guys, this is the way, it's that simple now. Is it easy to do this? No. You're gonna have to learn what works. You're gonna have to invest your time. You're gonna have to put some fricking effort into this. But once you do nail it, you are going to have your mind blown.'cause you're gonna be like, I can't believe I've been wasting my fricking time doing all this other crap that people are telling me. Like using a trending audio when that literally doesn't do crap for businesses. Okay? It just doesn't. So that is the number one thing. Fix your content strategy. Okay. Fix your content strategy. Kind of leads me into number two. So again, this is the three things that I see. Boutiques just, it's crushing their sales in 2026. Okay? The second thing is, you're too generic. I love you, but you, Ooh, sorry. One of my, my daughter's toys just fell off the windowsill there. I don't even know what it looks like. It's a little, little airplane. Okay. But the second thing is you are too generic. You look like everybody else. You sound like everybody else. Your content's like everybody else. Your website, like literally everything is too generic. Did this work before? Was it just fine? Yes. But now if you still have the same background that you've been using for years. Okay. And that everybody else used too, like, you know, like maybe it's like the Ivy with the neon sign. I love you if you're using that. But that is very generic at this point. Like what is the Ivy about? Does it even fit your branding? Are you just doing it'cause you saw other people do it? Do you just have the neon sign'cause you thought it was cute? Like you need to cut to the chase in your who you're targeting and forget all this generic stuff that like you think looks cute'cause other people are doing it and you need to focus on showing up in a way that your customer is going to connect with. So you've gotta get specific on what this is. You cannot just keep posting content that is very generic, very vanilla. The way that you stand out in 2026 and you get more sales is not from being like everybody else. It's from being different. It's from being authentic. It's from being you. You're not like everybody else. Okay? So stop just trying to blend in and here's the deal. What I really know is that blending in is way more comfortable than standing out. This is why most people do it. But when you are a trendsetter, which you are, you have to step into the next level of you, which you're meant to be. You are not meant to, to blend in. You're not, you are not vanilla, okay? I know you, if you are listening to this podcast, you are in my community. You are not vanilla. You just have not gotten comfortable enough to step out of that and step into your trendsetter zone. And this is what we do here. We make you trendsetters because being generic, being vanilla means you will get left behind and you will have low and no sales. Once you step into trendsetter land and you start designing and thinking about your customer and how you can show up in a way that is so specific to them that they're gonna love, that you don't care about like pleasing everybody in the world, you just wanna please that one customer and show up for them. This is what everything's gonna change for you. This is going to be the total game changer for your business. So stop thinking about being generic and start thinking about being a trendsetter. This will change the game for you. So do like a little quick self-audit right now. Where are you still showing up? And it's very, very samey, samey, samey as everybody else, right? And you know this, you know, you're like, okay, I'm guilty of that, right? And I get it. I get it because it's way, again, harder to actually put the effort in and think about how you can create a different business. It's harder and it's scarier, but what do we know about things that are hard and scary? The reward is always on the other side of that, right? If this was easy, everybody would be a zillionaire, but the ones that are crushing it in 2026, understand that they have to fricking stand out, and that being generic will cost you everything. It'll cost you your business. Okay. I don't wanna be dramatic about this, but it will, you are gonna end up closing your doors because you're not cutting through the noise. Everybody on here is trying to sell everybody something, okay? But when you can do it in a way that feels special, not salesy, and like you get that person, the customer, like you are one of them, you understand them, you get them. Listen, the, the flood gates are gonna open for you. They be banging on your website door going, hello, are you open? I wanna buy more of that, right? You're gonna be selling out of products. You're gonna be like, you're gonna have inventory flying off the shelves and it's not gonna be stale and sitting on the shelves behind you for days and days and days and months even, right? Collecting dust like those days will be over, but you have to make a promise to yourself that you're gonna do what it takes to stand out, be different, and be a trendsetter. This is promise number three in this podcast episode. I don't know why we're, we're doing all these pro these promises on this episode, but we are, and I'm here for it. So you gotta make a promise to yourself. You gotta do the work. Okay? We gotta do the work in the content strategy. We gotta do the work. Getting out of generic zone. And if you commit to the work, you will have success. But if you keep showing up and doing the same thing over and over and over and nothing is gonna change and you're gonna come back and listen to this podcast six months from now, and you're gonna be mad, mad at yourself.'cause you're gonna say, I wish I would've just done what she said and put in the effort instead of just showing up doing the same thing.'cause it was easier. And just hoping that magically, magically, things were gonna change.'cause they won't. You gotta do the work and you gotta do the work in the right areas, which is exactly what I'm telling you to do right now in this podcast. Okay, so there's no guesswork here. This now is in your hands. You just gotta do it. All right. Now let's talk about the third thing. This is a big one too. Are you ready for this one? You don't have a sales strategy. Okay, and here's the cold hard truth about so many boutiques in 2026. You are great at buying inventory, but you are horrible at selling inventory. This is just the way it is. I have seen this time and time and time again. The buying the inventory is not the issue. Your products are fabulous. You are great. Everything in that area is handled, but what's not handled is you knowing how to sell your stuff online. You just don't know how to do it. So you keep buying more inventory thinking, well, if I buy more inventory, there will be more choices and eventually I will start getting sales because my products are so cute. Like if you build it, they will come, right? Like that, that old quote from that movie, what was the movie with the baseball movie? You guys know Field of Dreams. Field of Dreams, right? Like if you build it, they will come. Like that is BS when it comes to our business and the retail industry. Okay, you gotta build it. You gotta holler at them a zillion times through different sales strategies, and then they'll come over to your website and maybe they'll buy after they've been there about six or seven times. That's reality. Okay, so how many of you are still showing up every single day? No idea where sales are gonna come from. You're just like, I'm just gonna post today and hope I get a sale. Right? And there's no strategy behind how you're gonna move all this inventory that's hanging up behind you or sitting on your shelves. You have no strategy. Right in 2026, you have to be smarter. So you have to think about what ar, what kind of areas can I focus on every day, every week, and every month to ensure that I'm setting my business up for success and I'm building momentum with it. You cannot build momentum showing up sporadically or inconsistently or with no plan because you're over here trying this. Then you're over here trying that. Well, that didn't work for a couple weeks, and I'm gonna try this. I'm gonna go over here to TikTok. I'm gonna do a TikTok shop. Oh, that didn't work. I'm gonna start a blog and I'm gonna go over here and try ads. Oh God, I spent a bunch of money on ads. I got no sales. You all over the place, no strategy. You're just hoping that that one magical thing is gonna like bop you on the head and you're gonna get all these sales right. Instead, you need to sit down with yourself and go. What do I do every single day to make sure I'm showing up for my business and selling in the right way? Okay, you gotta figure that out first. Number two, how am I showing up every week? Are there certain things I do each week to make sure that I'm setting my business up for success? And then maybe there's things you do monthly, okay? To make sure that you have an actual plan that has a chance to build momentum for you. Sales is all about momentum. And you guys know this. If you don't know this, you should know this. Okay? The more momentum you build for your business, the more sales you have. But when you're stopping and starting and stopping and starting and over here and over there, and you have no plan, and you're just wandering off the path, then you're back on the path, and then like someone's yelling at you over here to try this, and you're like, okay, cool, I'll try that. And you've learned 800 things and you've taken 800 courses and you still don't know what the heck you're doing, okay? You have no sales strategy and your business will not survive. You don't even give it a chance to get into the arena. You're just taking it all over the fricking place, right? You are like driving it over here and over there, and there's no destination. There's no road. You're just off-roading this thing, right? And while I love off-roading, businesses are not meant for that. Businesses thrive under systems and predictability. It's just reality. Okay? The more predictable and systematic you can be with your business, the better your results will be. So again, start thinking about not only how are you showing up every day, every week, and every month, but where are you selling and get really, really good at selling in certain places. Okay? Again, you can't be all over the place here. I don't want you trying to, you know, sell on Facebook and Instagram and TikTok and Pinterest and blogs and this and that, and like all over the place, and you're doing all of it kind of half, half-assed because you don't really know what you're doing anyways, instead. You would have such better success if you would have a sales strategy that included maybe one or two social media platforms that you could get really freaking good at first. Okay. Even one, like maybe it's like I'm going all in on TikTok or I'm going all in on Instagram. Okay. Can we still cross post to have some visibility in other places? Yes. But you need to get good, like really freaking good at one platform first. Okay, this is gonna be, so this isn't like relieve a lot of pressure too.'cause it's like, okay, what if I just focused on getting really, really good at Instagram and that's what I was doing until I got good at that, then I can add in another sales stream, right? But if you're not building momentum on at least one of these social media platforms, guys, you will be left behind and you're gonna be, you're gonna feel so just overwhelmed with all this responsibility and all this effort that you're putting out that's getting you like zilch results. So instead, we gotta stop that. I don't know who's teaching that or where that's coming from. That just doesn't work. You gotta get good at things and then we add. Okay. Like I have a lot of women that come to me in private coaching. They're like, well, I'm, I'm doing this and I'm posting here, and I'm posting there, and I'm, I'm like looking at all of it and it's like, all not good. So I can understand why they're not getting results and also why they feel burned out, because it's a lot of freaking effort to be posting in all those places. It is okay. It, it, it's, it takes a lot of energy, especially if you don't know what you're doing and every day you're like, starting from zero, right? Like, I hope I make a post that somehow goes viral today. No. When you have sales strategies in place, you learn how to sell the inventory really well and it feels easier. Okay, so thinking about this again, every day, every week, every month, where are we selling? How are we selling and how can we do it consistently? I'm talking about like for months. Okay? Don't tell me like, I've been posting on TikTok for six weeks and it's not working. Okay. Really, we gotta. You gotta have a lot longer amount of time that you're showing up and doing things consistently than just a few weeks. Okay, guys, like, that's also the reality. That's a whole nother conversation. People are just telling you that, you know, should be able to learn this and figure this out right away. It doesn't happen like that. There is, there is no land where you can figure this out magically, quickly, or overnight. Okay? So you gotta get really, like, just, just like understand that this may take a while and be okay with that. All right. Are we raising our hands? We're, this may take a while and we're gonna be okay with that, right? Yes. Okay, perfect. So these are the things that are really, really causing boutiques and brands to have such crappy sales. I'm just gonna say it, it's, it's killing your sales. Okay. So again, number one, not having a content strategy. Number two, your two generic. And number three, you have no sales strategy. Even though you're great at buying the inventory, you're not good at selling the inventory and those three things. Once you can nail this, once you can figure this out, once you can get really good at these three things you will see all of a sudden the world is going to be your oyster. Sales are gonna feel easier. It's gonna be more fun. It's gonna be so much more fun for you because you're not gonna feel this pressure and this weight on your shoulders of like, I'm doing all the things, which is what I hear. I'm doing everything Ally. I'm doing everything. I'm not seeing any results. You're doing everything, but it's all. Wrong. It's not where you need to focus your attention. And I'm not saying this to be like, eh, I'm saying this'cause I want the best for you. Like I'm tired of you guys feeling like you have all this pressure and you need to put in all this energy and do all these things that are not amounting to results because the effort and energy is going into the wrong places. And that is ending today, my friend. And that's why we recorded this episode. Okay? That's why I recorded this podcast. I wanna make sure that you know, these are the things that are actually killing your sales. It's not because you haven't found the perfect trending audio or the perfect trending sound or whatever other crap these people are telling you. It's none of that. Okay? It's real business work. It is work, but the, the success is what comes from this work, and I'm so excited to be able to share this with you. And by the way, if you do want to go deep on this with me. Book a private coaching session. These things have been freaking amazing and flying off the shelves. Shoot me a DM on Instagram if you're like ally, I, I love it. I love what you're saying, but I want your help with this. This is what I am here for. We'll have a Zoom call and then we will implement this for two weeks inside Telegram and I'll be able to support you as you're doing all this stuff, which is so fricking key to your results. Because what happens so many times is people will like buy a course or they'll. Watch a video and they think they get it and they go to implement it and it all falls apart and then they get even more frustrated'cause they're like, I don't, I don't understand how to implement what you're telling me. This is why my private coaching intensives, intensives are way above and beyond anybody else, what anybody else is doing out there.'cause not only am I training you and I'm teaching you the strategy, but then I help you implement it, which is the whole freaking key here. Okay. Implementation is the key to your success, and I wholeheartedly believe that. That's why all my programs are designed around help with implementation. Because I don't wanna just dump you in a portal of trainings and then say, bye, have fun. Like I wanna help you get through this and help you learn how to implement it so you know you're on the right track. Right. That's the whole point. Okay, you guys, thank you so much for watching this stream or for listening to this podcast. I love you. I. I know I'm, I know I was a little serious today and I know I was a little sassy. Maybe a little, little bit. Not that much, right? I mean, I've been, definitely been sassier, but I just want you guys to get this stuff. That's the point. At the end of the day, I want you to feel super comfortable and super confident running your business. I don't want it to run you and I don't want it to run you into the ground. I want you to be able to stand up and go, I know what the frick I'm doing here. I am confident I'm an amazing business owner, and that's my whole goal for you. Okay? Have an amazing day. Thank you so much, and we'll talk soon.
