Hello friends, welcome back to Reiki Women podcast. My name is Michaela of Hearts Caves Reiki and with me as always is my dear colleagues Bronwen Logan of Reiki with Bronwen. and Carrie Varela of the Reiki Healing Society. And today is the second of three part practice series. Uh, every once in a while, we love to really ground our conversations and our connection with you in practice, because of course, we're here to talk about the practice of the system of Reiki. And so let's practice together. So last week I led us in a simple three diamonds connection practice that is a great prep for moving into any other practice. And today we get to move into another practice. Carrie is going to lead us in what feels like a very intriguing exploration of our life purpose here in this moment, this particular time, just for today. And it's going to be doing that through the beautiful practice of Hatsudaiho. So, Carrie, I would love to turn it over to you and drop into practice with you.
Speaker 9Yay! I'm so excited to, you know, offer this focus and it just kind of came to me intuitively. Let's focus on connecting to our purpose, something that really rests at the heart of the practice of Reiki, something that, um, you know, Reiki can help us illuminate our purpose and give us, um, guidance in our life and help us find our North Star. And, um, So, and, uh, last weekend I got a chance to lead a Reiki Level 2 course, and I'm just feeling so alive and buzzing with all this amazing energy and information from Reiki Level 2, so I'm going to incorporate that. into our practice today. So if you've taken a Reiki level two, hopefully this will be a little bit of a, um, uh, review of some of that material. And if you haven't taken Reiki level two, some of those might be a little bit new to you, but you can still really, I think, tap into this practice very easily. So let's take a moment and just place your hands somewhere on your body, like on your legs, um, on your belly, wherever it's most comfortable for you. Go ahead and close your eyes. and just take in a few full body breaths. Breathing in, feel this aliveness, this fullness of your next inhale. Breathe out, feel that sweet surrender and letting go of your exhale. And just waiting for that moment when

Speaker 9feel yourself really settling into your body. And just call in the fullness of who you are, your true self. Your sacred self, your most whole and healed self. I see that light and energy and spirit to help illuminate something that's alive in each and every one of us that sometimes might feel a little bit buried. And so what I want to encourage you with is just this knowing that your purpose is always there and your purpose has been leading you and guiding you through the whole of your life. And we can find purpose when we find our enthusiasm and joy, find purpose when we cultivate something inside of ourselves to share with the world. And we can cultivate purpose when we do the simple acts in our life. With great love and care, so whether it be something like feeding your family or feeding another person's family or whatever you do in your career path, just showing up and being of service and offering all that you do with a spirit of love and service for yourself and the world. So to really just align ourselves more fully, that energy of our purpose, let's enter a practice called Hatsurei Ho, which is, um, in this method is a combination of two other practices. I'm going to throw in the Reiki symbols in the mix too, so we've got a nice witch's brew of energy here for us. But the first practice is just bringing awareness and breath down into the hara, letting your next inhale breath, feeling the breath travel down through both nostrils along the central line of the body into the hara. And as you exhale, you could visualize a chokare, first Reiki symbol in the hara. And as you exhale, feel that chokare and stand, you know, a moving spinning ball of energy in your hara. Anchoring you into the body and the earth. Breathing in through the nostrils and breathing down into the heart. Seeing and visualizing Chokre. Simple moving in a three dimensional fashion. Spinning, maybe it's standing out, maybe it's drawing in. Feel this energy move and dance with you. Just providing a clearing and letting go of anything that's kind of in the way. I hope you really tapping into your purpose. For me the thing that's almost always in the way it seems is some sort of fear, sort of surface level fear, but please remember that when you really call in your purpose and cultivate it, create a deeper awareness of it, that's going to bring you towards what you really want in life, not away. You can expand out, you know, As we need to. But today, what I'd encourage you to do is just offer yourself enough space for you to bring your whole self into the body, to this moment, to your practice. Really anchoring that presence in. So if you need to have this, uh, enough space of your room, room that you're occupying

Speaker 9the feeling of energy fully surrounding the body, try not to force fit and bringing your hands together in au. Let's shift into the next stage of this meditation. This portion of the meditation is called Session tsu. And Session TSU is unifying our heart and mind around an intention. So we've made a clear intention already at our practice today is helping us reveal illuminate tap into access our purpose. So here in our, um, with Session 22, I invite you to unite your heart and mind around connecting to your purpose. The heart wants one thing, sometimes the mind wants another thing. So bringing these two things together, unity and wholeness, and then let's layer in the Seheki symbol. So the second rank symbol, visualize it drawn out in front of you, somewhere in front of your mind or inside the mind. Characteristic of this. Symbol is harmony, a harmonization of mind and heart stepping in into this feeling of harmony between mind and heart. And in that shift in your energy that allows for what your heart wants to be here with space, wants to be here. And there's a breath that we can use with session toy suits. So the breath is breathing in through the hands, letting the breath travel along the arm. Then down the central line of the body into the heart. And as you exhale, breathe from the Hara up, along the arms, out the hands. So that breathing pattern again, breathing in through the hands, along the arms, down the central line of the body into the Hara, and then breathing from the Hara up, across the shoulders, along the arm, out the hand. Keep coming back to that breathing pattern, creating a pathway through the chin. Three more breaths in this pattern. Breathing into the hands, down into the belly, belly up, along the arms, out the

Speaker 9we're starting to feel this greater amount of energy here. Okay, so now let's release the hands. Take your non dominant hand, for me it's my left hand, and you'll take it up over the crown of your head, and you're going to just do a biosyn scan. So scanning your energy, down the body. And we're going to do it three times. And while you're doing this, I want you to ask your body to tell you where your purpose is living in your body. Remember that energy. is for you today and I might move around giving you some feedback from your body and energy field helping you understand where you're embodying your purpose. Okay, so whether you feel like you feel an intuitive hit there or not, it's all good. It's all gravy. What I want you to do is start to think about the hong zha zhe shun en symbol, the third reiki symbol. It's a symbol about connection. Helping us access. feeling all the way to the root thing. What you're going to do is you're going to use that Han San Zei Sho Nen symbol and you're going to pull your purpose out of your subtle body and just put it in your hand. Put it right between your hands and give it right here. Give it this beautiful energy of connection, consciousness, to your purpose. Inviting your purpose to speak, to voice, to give. insight to your purpose at this moment in time. If your purpose could share an image with you, a word, memory, just noticing what that would be. Just being really clear with it. Whatever you sense, whatever you felt, right after we complete this meditation, I want you to just jot it down, write it down in a journal, put it down somewhere for you. And then one more question, we're going to talk to our purpose here. All right. I'm going to ask our purpose. Our purpose could share a need with you. What would that need be? So whether or not you feel like you really got some clarity here or not, just know that we've sent this beautiful energy of Reiki deep into this part of ourself, and that this work is going to support us, um, not just in this moment, but come to us in other moments. But before we leave this space, let's do this. Let's just take our hands and kind of Place our purpose like back in our energy field, let it sit and circulate and then just put your hands wherever it's natural. And then before we leave, just make a wish. Make a wish. Bring your hands together and gassho. Taking a moment to really honor whatever it is that you sensed and felt. Honor that inner knowing, trust, and connection to your intuition, to your spirit. Offering our gratitude for our body. Our breath is practice, and it's beautiful energy we both received and let go of. Right.
