Tracks & Tackle: Nature is our Playground
Welcome to the Tracks & Tackle Podcast! 🎙️
Hosted by Ron Mentzer and Kris Buchman, the Tracks & Tackle Podcast brings you conversations from the guys at Mentzer Outdoors and 3B Outdoor Club. We’re a community of passionate outdoorsmen who love sharing stories, strategies, and the traditions that make hunting, fishing, and exploring the wild so special.
From whitetail deer and duck hunting to chasing turkey and fishing alike, we celebrate the great outdoors and everything that comes with it. We’re more than a podcast — we’re your hunting camp away from camp. A place where camaraderie, storytelling, and the thrill of the chase come together.
Together, Ron Mentzer and Kris Buchman founded the Tracks & Tackle Collaborative, a community of passionate outdoorsmen who share the mission to inspire everyone to Get Outdoors and keep the traditions alive. As part of Mentzer Outdoors and 3B Outdoor Club, we continue that same spirit.
At Tracks & Tackle, we believe Nature is our Playground, and we’re here to explore it with you. Whether you’re a seasoned hunter or just starting your outdoor journey, you’ll find a home here.
Tune in, connect with us, and join the Hunting Family! 🦌🎣🌲

Episode 100 of Tracks & Tackle celebrates the journey from Ron’s poolside brainstorm with a $15 mic in June 2023 to a multi-state hunting collaborative with listeners across every continent except Antarctica, starting with a corny first episode featuring a nephew as his co-host, pushing through torrential downpour truck recordings and front-porch duck-call conversations, bringing in Kris through Camo Space after recognizing the same blue-collar deer-camp roots, then adding Josh after a catfishing episode and a church potluck meeting, and slowly building an online hunt camp stretching from Illinois to Arkansas where trail-cam pics get texted, kids like Peyton are celebrated like family, and friendships form without egos or gatekeeping—proving that even three years later they may not have it all figured out, but they’re having the time of their lives doing it together.
