Matt Shoup, is a Jesus follower, husband, father, keynote speaker, facilitator, author, serial entrepreneur, Spain aficionado, Spanish coffee addict, aspiring paella chef and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. He’s proof that you can mix faith, business, and caffeine—and still find time to roll on the mats.
He has spent the last 25 years building successful companies, and interacting with some of the world’s most inspiring, interesting, and successful leaders. Matt’s initial journey to advance and develop his own leadership has now developed into this podcast to contribute to you!
When Matt isn’t inspiring entrepreneurs or running his businesses, he enjoys traveling to Spain, teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, perfecting his paella recipes, fueling his Spanish coffee addiction, and most of all, spending quality time with his wife, two children, and their dog.

The Cost Of Inaction With Adam Lunn
Adam Lunn, a former Boulder County Sheriff's Deputy, shares his profound and life-altering journey in this powerful episode. While on duty, Adam responded to a call involving a severely intoxicated young man. Following standard procedures, he and his team transported him in a vehicle that was ill-suited for the situation. Tragically, upon arrival at the station, the young man, Demetrius Shanklin passed away
Placed on leave and later charged with manslaughter, Adam fought hard during his trial but was ultimately found guilty. Accepting the consequences of his actions, he served his sentence with courage and resolve. During this challenging chapter, Adam devoted his life to Jesus, finding solace and purpose through faith.
This episode is a sobering exploration of the cost of inaction—how the things we fail to do in pivotal moments can have far-reaching consequences. Adam’s story is one of accountability, redemption, and transformation, offering valuable lessons about the weight of our decisions and the path to rebuilding a life after tragedy.
