Meet your host;
Matt Shoup, is a Jesus follower, husband, father, keynote speaker, facilitator, author, serial entrepreneur, Spain aficionado, Spanish coffee addict, aspiring paella chef and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. He’s proof that you can mix faith, business, and caffeine—and still find time to roll on the mats.
He has spent the last 25 years building successful companies, and interacting with some of the world’s most inspiring, interesting, and successful leaders. Matt’s initial journey to advance and develop his own leadership has now developed into this podcast to contribute to you!
When Matt isn’t inspiring entrepreneurs or running his businesses, he enjoys traveling to Spain, teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, perfecting his paella recipes, fueling his Spanish coffee addiction, and most of all, spending quality time with his wife, two children, and their dog.
Matt’s mission is simple: inspire others to discover their purpose, pursue it relentlessly, and make a lasting impact on the world—one business, one connection, and one cup of coffee at a time.

Stepping Into Your Power to Impact Lives with Carl Sutter
Carl is a Jesus follower, retired pastor, husband, and father and grandfather who has spent his life guiding others, especially hurting men, through faith and personal challenges. In this episode, he opens up about his journey—from his early days as a pastor of an inner city church in Chicago, to transitioning and moving to Loveland, where he eventually founded Foundations Church. Carl shares how a major personal setback and failure forced him to reinvent himself and recommit to his calling. He stresses the importance of authenticity, the dangers of making yourself fit the mold of others, and the valuable lessons he learned from a rough and tough upbringing. He dives into some very important topics for men including preventative therapy, understanding your story and wounds, and why having a safe space to confide in trusted people is essential for healing and growth. Carl reminds us that no one is perfect, everyone has struggles, and it’s okay to seek support. His story is one of resilience, faith, and finding the strength to move forward all while placing your ultimate faith in Jesus.
