The New Educator Network (NEN) is an opportunity for new educators to network in a variety of settings and has been around for over a decade.
The NEN was originally developed on the east coast of Australia and in WA it has be formed to suit our context to help early career teachers.
One of the best ways to keep in touch with each other as new educators is via the New Educator Network - WA Facebook group. The NEN Facebook group is for members of the State School Teachers' Union of WA who are education students or public school teachers in their first five years of teaching. Through the NEN Facebook group you can stay up to date with events that are happening for new educators as well as tune into free webinars plus receive a range of free advice on industrial and professional issues.
