Dr. Arts: Doing a PhD in the Arts and Design
The podcast is a platform for the discussion of all issues relating to practice-based PhDs in the arts and design and thus will become an information-rich database for all people interested in these issues, from prospective to current PhD students, from supervisors to PhD-program leaders, and for anyone inside or outside of academics interested in the topics discussed. The podcast will be open to a wide and diverse range of voices.

Stressreduktion in der Klinik: zur Gestaltung von heilungsfördernden Räumen.
Ute Ziegler ist Designforscherin und Innenarchitektin. Sie befasst sich mit den Wechselwirkungen von Design, Gesundheit und Krankheit, insbesondere mit der Fragestellung, wie durch gestalterische Eingriffe Stress und Erregungszustände in Kliniken reduziert werden können. Im Rahmen eines patientenzentrierten Co-Designprozesseses entstanden während ihres PhD individuell konfigurierbare Patientenzimmer. Ausgehend von systemtheoretischen Ansätzen entwickelte sie zudem ein Modell für Selbstorganisiertes Design.
Ute Ziegler forscht an der Hochschule Luzern im Bereich Innenarchitketur. Interview wurd sie von Axel Vogelsang, Professor an der Hochschule Luzern – Design, Film & Kunst.
