Q&A: Increasing Progesterone, Miscarriage & Leading a Feminine Business
In this episode, I wanted to take a little time to answer some amazing questions and share thoughtful insights from the community. I’ve been getting really deep, thought-provoking messages, so today’s topics are all over the map in the best kind of way!
There was a really heartfelt question from a listener who recently experienced a miscarriage and is now navigating hormone balance while caring for a 15-month-old on her farm. She described living a “healthy” life—eating well, being active—but is still feeling emotionally numb and physically depleted while facing extremely low progesterone levels.
We often talk on this podcast about how women are taught to approach healing from a very masculine perspective—doing more, pushing harder, achieving balance through force. But real healing, especially hormonal healing, often requires a softening. Progesterone is a hormone of safety, of calm, of rest.
Post-miscarriage, our hormones don’t just snap back. It takes time to restore what was depleted during pregnancy. Some foundational things to think about include appropriate intake of carbohydrates and minerals, as well as adequate rest and reducing stress levels.
Finally, we dive into how to pursue a God-given dream without losing ourselves in the grind. The fear of stepping out of alignment with our values, the deep desire to stay soft, feminine, and rooted in slow living, can be so intimidating. I’ve learned the hard way that hustle culture can quickly strip away your peace if you’re not careful.
We definitely have an action-packed episode that’s touching on all of these topics and more today. Tune in today to hear more!
