In this episode we use the guitar to study the harmonic movement from a Minor i chord to the iv chord, back to the i chord 1st inversion, then we outline the diminished ii chord (which you could also view as the dominant 7b9) and descend the natural minor scale from the 5th scale degree to the tonic. We use the following solfege syllables:
i: Do --> Sol --> Me -->
iv: Fa --> Le --> Do -->
i: Me --> Sol --> Do -->
ii diminished: Re --> Fa --> Le
i: Sol - Fa - Me - Re - Do
We explore this exercise in all 12 keys implementing a cycle of descending half steps:
1). D minor --> C# minor --> C minor --> B minor --> Bb minor --> A minor --> etc.
