20. José Subero @ Former Design Head IWG (ex Starbucks & ING Bank)
We begin Season 3 of Workplace 3000 with a quick trip to Amsterdam where we meet our first guest, José Subero. José is an Amsterdam-based architect and designer originally from the Dominican Republic. After earning his architecture degree at the National University Pedro Henríquez Ureña, he furthered his studies with a design master's at the Design Academy Eindhoven.
José co-founded Pivot Creative, a studio that blends product and architectural design to reinterpret existing structures and systems in response to contemporary social issues.
From then he has gone on to work with some of the largest companies in the world, helping design spaces for the likes of Starbucks, ING Bank, Miro and IWG Plc. His answers for his Workplace 3000 brief emphasize his common-sense approach to design and general observant nature.
