Oh, welcome to out of the mouth of babes podcast for our future leaders. Oh, my first question is to each and every one of you guys what do you think as me as a manager? Like being your manager? Oh, you're the best one. Oh, everybody talks about it around the school, but even the boys. Ice water out there. You treat us good. Cups are filled everything medicine, snacks. Here, that's the lean that comes in handy. I didn't have a hair tie the other day for practice and she pulled one straight out of her head and gave it to me. I was like, oh, thanks, I actually bought hair ties. They're in the locker room. Yeah, we saw those. Thanks, tt. Oh, I didn't see them, oh, yeah, anyways. Next question Anyone, anyone? Shay, I got one for you.
Speaker 1:So what made you want to play basketball this year? Because I heard you were a team manager last year. Yeah, it was really my dad and Clay, I was kind of forced. I'm not even going to lie, I miss like being on the team as a manager was good too, but like as a player, I feel like you're more connected and stuff. So I kind of miss that a little, tt. Why don't you play no more?
Speaker 1:Yeah, TT, I heard you Baller, big baller, four fouls in the quarter and I'm just playing. I don't know, I don't have love for the game, like I love watching you guys play and stuff. I just don't. I can't play. You can do anything. You put your mind to. Actually, my last coach, I think, ruined it for you. Yeah, I get that. Oh, that was weird. Anyone, I don't got anything other than the actual question of what are y'all eating after this man? A bunch of smack In. The honest meal sounds the best. A bunch of smack down. So where's our minds at for the game tomorrow? Locked, locked in. You see, I want to talk trash, but that's not happening. Don't do that. We can't do that. I can't even say it. I've seen you can't do that in Indiana. They're good, especially with clay bowls. Yeah, please don't. Oh, no, it's not happening because I'm not sitting, I'm not going. Okay, ooh, do we prefer five and a halfs or the eight, six, four, twos, five and a half, five and a half. I'd rather do five, five and a half than anything else. Yeah, me too, I'm being going to.
Speaker 1:Y'all ever run into Beast before? What the heck is that? Where? It's a suicide there and it's another suicide back. Are you for real? Have you guys ever ran a lucky 10? Oh, didn't?
Speaker 1:Sybil used to do those? I heard about that. It was so bad. I heard about bear crawls. Mr Hanley made y'all do bear crawls before. Yeah, we used to have to crab walk backwards. Do bear crawls before. Yeah, we used to have to like crab walk backwards. Yeah, yeah, the au like chicken and all that not chicken. But what are you talking about? I'm so hungry. What are you eating after this? Barely some, anything, anything. Wait.
Speaker 1:So how do you guys think the game's about to go tomorrow? Like what did you guys think? I think we're going to do pretty good. I think it'll be intense. Yeah, it definitely will. I feel like it's about to be hype. I just really need our student section to get hype. There really haven't been Our last game.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they literally sat. Last game was terrible, it was so bad they game yeah, they literally sat. Last game was terrible, it was so bad. They were just sitting down the whole time. I was like, what are you guys doing? But see anderson literally in student section too. Like, yeah, they're gonna bring a student section. What makes me so mad is like when we when I go back and watch film and I just see our student section just sitting there and they'll be clapping like this. I'll be like wow, you're literally supposed to be standing like yeah, but you know, when we get in there for the boys Because we are the student section no, we really are, we're literally the front. She hasn't been in our student section. I've never been to a boys basketball game before. Are you for real? Yeah, we was against one team and we had the parents yelling at us. It was so bad. Remember the purple team? I don't want to say any names. Was it Muncie? Oh, never mind. No, I feel like it was. Was it Muncie? I don't think it was. No, it was. Oh, my goodness, I can't remember, but they were slipping us off Because something. Oh, it was Muncie, it was the Muncie boys and the parents were like yelling at us from the student section. That game was so crazy. Like you're a grown adult, it was funny, though it was pretty funny. It was so crazy.
Speaker 1:Who's ready for the bus ride Saturday? I hate bus rides. I'm not going to lie, I just sleep. We have three Lafayette bus rides this year, I know, and I literally hate it so much. One, three, yeah, three. We literally just talked about that. Why do we have to go three times? There's three schools? Because they just so happen to fall on like one week, the next week and then the next. Wow, it's very inconvenient.
Speaker 1:We did just talk about that. I mean, if that means Chick-fil-A, I'm not mad. We were just talking, I don't care, it was so. I was like I said so what y'all be eating, it was like mcdonald's. I was like and he said chick-fil-a, yeah, yeah, that chick-fil-a and panda express in the same day was I need to be like a1 tomorrow, like for us to win. I just think your shot that you had today, yeah, you hit, you were. I was like everything boom on everyone boom. I think if everybody's heads are in the game like, we'll be good.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think it's more of a mental aspect. I think you guys need to think positive. Go to sleep tonight and then wake up, think positive. Oh, me too. If you think positive, positive, things are going to happen. What'd you say? She said I get too much homework. I gotta lie too. I'm not gonna lie. I'm about to eat. I'm about to watch a little film. I'm about to eat. I'm about to watch a little film. I'm gonna do my homework, probably hit the bathroom and then I'm gonna sleep A little.
Speaker 1:Tmi, it's like a weekend editing or something. Edit that part out, delete it. He's gonna highlight it. Actually, I don't think he's gonna highlight it. Actually, I don't think he's going to highlight it. He's going to be the one thing that ends up on his social media. I'm going to be like bro, I will never get on social media again. Everybody's going to be posting that on Instagram.
Speaker 1:I love how comfortable they're talking. I love how comfortable they are with each other. They look too comfortable. Oh, I love how comfortable they are with each other, or something. Wait, a young leader, a young leader, hold on. Oh, I forgot.
Speaker 1:This was for the young people. Y'all are just talking the talk at this point. That's why you told us to do it Right. Like, what are we supposed to talk about? How was everybody's school day? Kind of mid? Yeah, it wasn't terrible. I didn't really have lunch, so that's why I'm really hungry right now. I didn't eat. I have been surviving off a granola bar all day.
Speaker 1:Okay, one more question like what's one word like for like the young people out here? Like one, like just one word for like our new like what, just for like, just think of a word, like, yeah, just one word interesting, oh, I like it, I like that. They're interesting. Can I say motivation? Motivation, I don't know. Motivational, like how young are we speaking? Is what I'm trying.
Speaker 1:I mean, yeah, because it's our future leaders, but like we're technically the future leaders, like middle school and stuff, I say behavior, behavior is out of control right now. It is it's bad. I want to say immature. It's the COVID kids. It's COVID. It is, oh my gosh, people were really born during that time. I feel like if we were. But they're still young. They are. Yeah, they have a lot to learn though, right, especially like Like middle school, yeah, freshmen, I need you guys. They're coming into the high school, they're going to mature eventually. Yeah, there's a lot of mature freshmen.
Speaker 1:Like when I first got here, I was like bruh, like oh, he get on my nerves, he would get on my grades, and they were like freshmen. I was like explains. But then, like, the more I get to know them and the more I'm around them, it's like they, they get better, they're chill. I won't put our names out there, please. No, not on our podcast. I want to. So bad? It's our future leaders. Um, so yeah, well, I think I think it's. I think we're hashtag out. I think my stomach's crumbling. I think it's hashtag out. I think my stomach's crumbling, I think we're hungry. Like, comment and subscribe. Wait, but nobody's Smash that like button. Someone's got to say this Out of the mouth of the babe.
