Speaker 2:I was out for most of the time Because remember Anderson was like daytime game time. Yeah, yeah, once he was night in the film. Okay, comeback season, I think. What about some of our young guys? How you feel about?
Speaker 3:them. But hold on though. Hold on though. In practice, though, you can't lie when jay ship is there. It's a different, it's a different vibe for the offense when he's not there.
Speaker 2:You know what I'm saying it clicks I don't know.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I just yeah, coach Kemp still be trying to get it right.
Speaker 3:It's just because he's like our actual BFF.
Speaker 2:Oh yeah, I hope you got to block. I think it's the relationship between the lineman and J-Ship.
Speaker 3:I feel like Jaden is just so much more focused. I mean, I feel like it's because he wants it more. He wants it more than anybody.
Speaker 2:Nah he's becoming a great leader. He really stepped up this year. You know what I mean.
Speaker 3:Yeah, he really didn't have a say because he was in that wheelchair, but but now that he's, he's not in the hot wheels no more. The hot he's really up and going. He's he's thriving more and he's he's getting his respect back because he made the top 20.
Speaker 2:Yeah the post. He was on there. He was on there, he was on there.
Speaker 3:So I really think he's going to have a breakout year. Yeah, lamar Jackson type Type.
Speaker 2:Yeah, heisman winner.
Speaker 3:Yeah, so.
Speaker 1:Kevin.
Speaker 3:Henry.
Speaker 1:Jr KJ, kj.
Speaker 2:Hey man, what y'all looking forward to the most though this year? Senior year man Last.
Speaker 3:Hey man, what y'all looking forward to the most, though, this year? Senior year man Last year of high school, what y'all looking forward to, I feel?
Speaker 2:like I just want to make memories, bro.
Speaker 3:have fun, yeah, for real. Most importantly, I want to aim towards that scholarship, though because that's what you can get me out of here, but I really just want to have fun, because you can't lie. Sophomore year even though we wasn't the best we just had, it was a fun season.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:I can look back on that and really talk about it a lot.
Speaker 2:Who do y'all think really influenced you? To really take it serious, high school wise, you know what I mean, coming in as a freshman seeing the upperclassmen. Who do you think really influenced you the most?
Speaker 3:I didn't really take it seriously.
Speaker 1:I'd say someone that helped me take it seriously was probably Bryson, because, bryson, he would always talk to me about taking it seriously and I need to start doing stuff now, so when I get to that time I can be ready and I'll have all the skill and knowledge. You, mine was your brother, oh, yours, no, no, mine, big Tim, mine was.
Speaker 2:DeMarco, you brother.
Speaker 3:Oh yours no, no Mine.
Speaker 2:Mine was DeMarco Owens.
Speaker 3:Oh wow, yeah, it was, it was.
Speaker 2:Actually, he didn't have a big influence on me Until like the like last game. It was no, it was like second to last game. It was Shelbyville and I was asking for a sub. I was cramping and he like yelled at meamping and he like yelled at me. He said, tio, you don't need no sub, you don't need none of that. You got it. Stay in the game. You know you're going to. You know you're going to thrive.
Speaker 3:I was like, okay, I was like yo, I'm hurt, I'm hurt, I'm hurt, though, but hey, I did pressure last play, I think I think jamar jamar scott, big more, yeah, I think he really influenced me because he got on me every day, because he's seen my potential. Yeah, he just yeah, but uh, who who motivates you? Who motivates you, inspires you now, like who came out of richmond came out of richmond, who's been a freshman in college already, already.
Speaker 2:I'm gonna have to still say, marco, like what you mean? You mean like coming out and playing high school ball. I'm gonna have to say I'm still saying Marco, cause I seen Marco the other day and Red Boy transformed himself. Yeah, he did, he's all you know. He's fast man.
Speaker 3:I would say, I would say Marquise Johnson, because of the record. Yeah, he was really an underdog for and he showed everyone he could really go to college and ball.
Speaker 2:So he's really gonna do his thing so you see his improvement from his freshman year.
Speaker 3:Oh yeah, he went from 195 to what?
Speaker 1:217? Yeah, that boy, he's 217. He's 217. Wow, he's big bro. Yeah he'd be working out a lot.
Speaker 3:I guarantee you he still runs like a four.
Speaker 1:Probably like a four or four. What is he?
Speaker 3:going to play DB. I think, he wants to play, yeah, yeah, whatever, whatever he does, I know he's, he's gonna be, he's gonna be the best. He's the best, he's the best.
Speaker 2:Yeah, he's just really like he has a really like good athleticism, yeah, yeah I don't know if that's the word, he's definitely yeah he's definitely, he's definitely athletic, but like this is his mentality yeah, it's different, you know like he could have came in as a freshman you know he didn't? He didn't like I don't think he didn't. He didn't play that many games, did he?
Speaker 3:no, but you, you could tell. You could tell about the stats though, because yeah, bro, I went on the uh, saint francis ig bro and they have like the like, who like body weight? You know what I'm saying. Who's pushing the most weight in the vertical and the 40-yard dash Marquise was in like two of those as a freshman I heard that, Like pound for pound, strongest one he was in there Broad jump. He was first, I think, so he's definitely it might have been vertical.
Speaker 2:He's definitely it might have been vertical. I'm thinking it was broad jump and vertical yeah it was, it was both.
Speaker 1:Yeah, vertical he'd be getting up there. He just got hurt Richmond leaders, though I'm saying we up next.
Speaker 3:All right, all right.
Speaker 2:We got like a minute or so how y'all want to impact y'all community when y'all leave, how y'all want to impact your community when y'all leave. How do y'all feel about that? Do you want to come back? Give back? What's the word?
Speaker 3:I want to come back and be, hopefully, the defensive line coach or defensive line assistant coach. But I just want to come coach and coach the position I played and learn from Coach Kev more.
Speaker 2:I want to be the offensive line coach. You'll be the defensive line coach.
Speaker 3:Yeah, not want to be the offensive line coach, you'll be the defensive line coach.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 3:Not the assistant, the coach. Yeah, hopefully.
Speaker 2:I'm trying to be that offensive line coach that busts his D-line.
Speaker 3:After college, of course, after your four years and your degree and all of the above.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I'm trying to.
Speaker 3:Me and Tio I'm going to bust the offensive line.
Speaker 2:I'm telling you my offensive lineman. I'm going to be like Coach Kidd I can't wait. You push the anchor. I'm out there. I'm out there, offensive lineman. I'm going to come out with the drip, the offensive lineman, coach, drip Like your head.
Speaker 3:Man Like your head.
Speaker 2:The sunflowers, coach Kidd, sunflower sheets. And that little stance, the legs spread out. Can't wait for it, man, what you wanna do room what you wanna do. Once you out of college.
Speaker 1:I was thinking I could Probably pursue my dream In real estate. And all that Real estate, flippin' houses, flippin' houses yeah, we need it down here in Richmond. I could probably pursue my dream in real estate and all that Real estate, okay, flipping houses.
Speaker 3:Flipping houses yeah, we need it down here in Richmond.
Speaker 2:I definitely want to come back and make more opportunities for our younger. I grew up in an apartment complex you know what I mean, so I see a lot of little kids, you know. I definitely want to help them Because a lot of them just turn to Just working and stuff Limiting their show. I want them to see their potential.
Speaker 1:That's why I want to come back.
Speaker 3:Inspire the youth.
Speaker 2:Inspire the youth, our future leaders.
Speaker 1:This is why we have Podcast for the youth.
