Speaker 1:

This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, Patricia Blondheim.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast. I'm your host, patricia Blondheim, and today we have good neighbor Jane Hill, and Jane is the founder of Balance Infusion and Wellness over here in the Greystone Hoover area. Jane, how are you this?

Speaker 3:

morning. I'm fine, Patricia. Thank you for having me.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I'm so pleased to have you. Please tell me more about Balance Infusion and Wellness.

Speaker 3:

Balance Infusion and Wellness. Let me just start by saying we've only been open about five months now, but it's a long-term dream of mine that people be able to get some care outside the box, some traditional Western medicine, and I became tremendously aware of the deficit in this area when first myself, in 2021, and then my husband in 2022, developed chronic, serious illnesses and we actually had to leave the country to get the care that I thought that we needed. So it's just a dream that's come through true, and I've just put things together for people that are in the same position that we were, that actually couldn't receive safe, natural care.

Speaker 2:

Well, this is a big subject, as I'm sure you know. This is a huge subject and I think first we should touch a little bit on your journey before we get into it.

Speaker 3:

Well I have. People are going to think this is crazy, but I've had 45 years in traditional Western medicine and worked as a nurse practitioner until 13 years ago, where I retired from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, which is a state-of-the-art medical institute, as all of you know. I retired there and in a couple of years I began to get a little antsy and I began to look at some different ways to do some things, and that's when I first discovered essential oils. So my health journey started with essential oils and has just branched from there. In the last 10 years I've just developed extensive knowledge in other means of health and then, after I got back from Mexico, I incorporated some of the things that I learned there. I brought them actually to Birmingham and it's been something that I've thought about now for four or five years, and just real hard.

Speaker 3:

For two years. And right in the middle of getting things started, my husband became critically ill, was hospitalized for three months, home for five weeks and then back in the hospital again, and the whole time just was not receiving some things that would have sped his recovery along. So I was determined, when I got him well enough, that I could open some doors, that I would and I have, and he's here about three times a week getting his care now and is just doing so well.

Speaker 2:

Well, tell me, what does that kind of care look like? Because we've just opened a door into a whole new sort of healthcare, field of healthcare. You know this is not this is not what you would end up going to your family doctor, and even it's so. I'm aware of what you do and it boggles my mind. Trying to think about how to describe it is really, really difficult. But I know that you work mostly with infusion therapy. Is that true?

Speaker 3:

I work with infusion therapy. That is a big part of wellness and it's a big part of balance. 80% of Americans are dehydrated most of the time, plus, they're lacking vitamins and minerals. The first thing that I do, patricia, is to get a feel for what you need. What does your body say you need, not what your symptoms are, not what your doctor says, but what is your body telling me that you need. And I do that with a state-of-the-art zytoscanner that measures bio galvanic energies from 198 energy stations in your body. And when the test is complete, then I can look at this and see what areas in your body are needing some attention kind of different than what your doctor may do. You tell your doctor what's hurting and he usually writes you a prescription for it. What I'm looking for here are root problems Root problems, not symptoms. But why is this happening? What is it in your body that is causing this to happen? And then we address it with hydration. And we have. We have the very best vitamins and minerals and supplements that money can buy and we infuse them. I have professional staff here. We infuse them, but there's just so much more than hydration.

Speaker 3:

We have tesla's new bio charger and if you hadn't heard about it. You need to look it up. It's been on the market about 10 years now. It's 30 years in the making and finally fda had to approve it. And there are about six or seven in the state of Alabama and I'm extremely fortunate that I have one.

Speaker 3:

It heals with energies and vibrations and frequencies, which is all we are. It's a big old battery and so people come in and they get their battery charged. We do vibration therapy, which removes limp, excess limp in your body, and I have Sunlighten's brand new infrared red light sauna that has six programs to detox and to treat pain, and we have weight loss in there also, but have a cardiovascular program. We do compression leg compression. I have essential oil infused pure oxygen which everybody is deficient in. Also we every day someone comes in here telling me how healthy they are. They just wanted to check us out a little bit and if they'll get a ZytoScan they'll see that their body is not as healthy as they need to. And we try to address every one of those needs in a very safe, non-invasive way and we're having great, great success here. People are feeling good, symptoms are going away without medications and they're telling their neighbors and their friends.

Speaker 2:

Well, I mean, there's a great myth in healthcare. I'm sure you're aware that the science, the science backed approaches, are going to, are going to cure you. They're going to, they're going to heal you. But you're right, you mentioned that you don't attack the symptoms, you attack the causes. And that's the difference between medicine as it's commonly practiced and correct practiced and correct and and and what you do is that medicine almost doesn't have the luxury to treat anything but the symptoms.

Speaker 3:

That's right. That's right, and it's very, very quick Patricia and I did it for years as a practitioner to have a set of symptoms and have the drug already decided before they finish their sentence about what's the problem. And the prescription is written. And prescriptions are chemicals, and one of the things that we do here at Balance is to try to teach you what to stay away from, what your body doesn't want. And I can tell you straight up your body doesn't want a chemical. Your body does not want a chemical, regardless of what's the matter with you. It's not saying give me a drug. That's not what your body says.

Speaker 2:

Right, there's nothing that you can take into your body. That is a chemical, that is pharmaceutical, that's not going to have side effects An equal and opposite reaction. I don't even talk about it as side effects. I mean, I think there is an equal and opposite reaction to it. Sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes most often it's a bad thing.

Speaker 3:

Some of the side effects are better than the disease.

Speaker 2:

Sometimes they are, as a matter of fact. So what do you do, jane, when you're not doing this, when you're not treating people? And, jane, when you're not doing this, when you're not treating people and I'm sure there's a lot of learning that goes on with what you do it must cover you up. But do you ever have time for fun? And if so, what do you do?

Speaker 3:

No, opening a brick and mortar business is very, very full time. I have, you know, my grandkids are here, they play ball and I try to run out and catch it in and here and in and there and but my husband is still recovering and so I still have things to do with him, obligations and things to do with him, but he's getting better and better and he's coming here more often and he is just a testimony, he's just a blessing. People see the recovery Actually it was his recovery using the biocharger. That made me put the biocharger in the middle of this, in the middle of this office, is the biocharger.

Speaker 3:

I thought it would be a very hard sell, very hard sell. It's very out there, looking, with the Tesla cone in the middle and seven tubes surrounding it that are full of noble gases and as this thing is set, the vibrations, the frequencies, the lights are pushed through noble gases as they enter your body. And I thought you know people are going to roll their eyes, they're going to say I'm a little weird. But I can tell you after sitting in on biocharger sessions, sometimes as quickly as one session, you feel a difference and then you come back and you do again and then you know there are days that our biocharger room is completely full and I have people waiting to get in. It's a matter of coming into the room and sitting in a chair and just absorbing the energies and the frequency. So my fear of being too far out, um, kind of uh, did a backfire and people love it or loving, loving the biocharger.

Speaker 2:

I think people are ready to feel better. Yes, yes. I think we're having a tough time right now. And most people, especially after COVID, sick and tired of being sick and tired. Exactly Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Speaker 3:

And the actually the biocharger has a Vax 19 removal. So if you were whatever unfortunate enough to be talked into taking the vaccine, we can help you with that. If you're having some, some issues and there are many, many issues- yes, yes.

Speaker 2:

Well, I mean let's, let's talk about you know what you want our listeners to take away about balance and fusion and wellness.

Speaker 3:

I want. My desire is that I will have an opportunity to share with people what we have and how we can offer health and balance in a safer, in a pleasant environment. Safer, I'm not going to say quicker, but I can promise you that we don't have side effects here at Balance Infusion and Wellness, and I would have to say 90% of the people here now have a smile on their face. They're eager to to come. They plan their day around coming to balance infusion and wellness because they want to be charged, they want to feel good. We have just introducing a state-of-the-art foot detox program that was developed in germany and this thing is really something. It is absolutely positively detoxing, pulling things from your body. So we we detox people in the biocharger, with IVs and the sauna and now with a state-of-the-art foot massage. So there's a lot here. Regardless of what's going on with you, we're a center of hope. We are willing to help you any way that we can in a holistic matter, and if, at any time that I feel that things are more than we're wanting to do or able to do, I try to refer people back to their doctor. But I can tell you, patricia, after being in a different kind of environment you feel comfortable. You feel comfortable with safe alternative treatments and I'd like to just have an opportunity to help as many people as I possibly can.

Speaker 3:

We're conveniently located right off of 280. People cringe when they hear 280, but it's not far down 280 and we're in 280 Village and Suite 14 on the Commercial Boulevard, so we're easy to get to.
