About the Co-hosts:
Will & Max are long-lost college friends who met at the University of Virginia where they co-chaired Crosswinds, the college DJ-ing club. The two have taken divergent paths over the years with Will remaining on the East Coast and leading a charmed life as a bachelor, and Max living overseas for more than a decade and now spending way too much time arranging carpools for her kids and researching meal kit plans.
They started the Midlife Marauders podcast as a way to catch up with one another as well as to engage with, motivate and entertain their peers. The podcast title is a nod to A Tribe Called Quest’s 1993 album, “Midnight Marauders.”

McDreamy and Andre 3000 - Are They Marauding?
What do Patrick Dempsey and Andre 3000 have in common? Not much, but both are in the news and Will & Max are talking about it. We love that McDreamy (or is he McSteamy?) has been named People Mag's Sexiest Man Alive at age 57, and Andre 3000 at age 48 is releasing a long-awaited, much anticipated and much memefied album. Plus why not go all in on wearing athleisure pantsuits--the kids are all doing it!
Thanks for listening--keep on marauding!
Welcome to Midlife Marauders with Will & Max Hello, Will. Hi, Max, how are you? I'm good. I see you're all out wahoo-ed out today? Yeah, I fell in the spirit today the UVA spirit so, so I'd throw something on and for the podcast, was there something that sparked that? Like no? And I would have had to make a dish. And I have no idea. What is that? What's keeping? You know, that's not what's keeping me. So what I can do my something? Well, I was gonna do that anyway. But I was keeping me is I looked at my calendar the other day and realize I have a conflict. So this a friend of mine, his mom is having her birthday party tomorrow. Okay, and it says the exact same time as the Friendsgiving. So I had told her earlier that I would come to her birthday, so I had to back out of it friends. Okay, that's nice. I mean, do you think it'd be more fun at the birthday party than the Friendsgiving? Is that part of it? No, no. Um, you know, when I give a commitment to something, you know, I say I'm coming. Yeah, I try to keep you know, um, so we'll see how it goes. I listen to this and are going to be coming after you. Who is this eligible bachelor? Who keeps his word? Right. Now the one on Saturday, it's in Richmond. Okay. And you're not going? Yeah, I don't feel like driving down. Okay. Yeah. I mean, there's no, I don't have anything scheduled. So I could get on the road. But then I have to worry about the dog and doing all that. And the guy hit me up the other day, because I had sent him. I never replied back to the invitation was sent. And do people still do evite? By the way? Yeah, but so are you one of these people that you don't RSVP? Unless it's a yes. Is that why you didn't reply? Like, well, it depends. Right? It depends. So I did not RSVP to that. Because I just because they're gonna hassle you if you if I didn't think they would. But I the guy, I sent him a song. Cuz he really likes fabulous. So I sent him a song that fabulous was featured in and of course, he liked it and said, you know, we need more fabulous in our life. And then he said, Hey, are you coming to the friends giving us an Amen? So I was like, No, I can't make it. So you already said no. Yeah. But the friend the other friends giving that's in conflict with the birthday party. I did RSVP back to that. Popular so well. I mean, it is what is she? Okay, are you going? Are you going home for Thanksgiving? I am going home for Thanksgiving. Well, let's circle back to you. Do you do Friendsgiving with the woods was like anybody like married or like a another married family or something? Or just friends or anybody? In my family, my sister, my younger six sisters, the big cook. And so, you know, she's around and there's going to be a Thanksgiving dinner, right? If she's not around and we just buy something or we go out so I don't know. I haven't. I haven't done it. And I also you know, I taught my kids homeschool I homeschool them right and so I you know, it taught them all about the pilgrims and the Native Americans. And then it just kind of the whole Thanksgiving idea soured on me. I mean, not to be a Debbie Downer. But I was like, why are we celebrating this and so it doesn't have as much meaning to me but we're just my older son wants to have real Thanksgiving food. So we ordered something from Harris Teeter. I'm not mad at that. But free giving is Thanksgiving is is cool. For me the mostly the friends giving parties I've been to are basically just a bunch of single people that had nothing that wanted to get together. It's not usually Yeah, it's not usually family oriented, oriented. So, but the girl has hosting and she did get married so recently, so maybe, I don't know. She just continued to do it. I think she got it. Okay, now I was gonna say I like hosting stuff for things for friends. But Thanksgiving is too big of a you know, I'm not going to be that well. On is hosting a big dinner like that? Yeah. Yeah, I don't I don't do that. But I, you know, I don't mind going to him, you know, I'll come in most parties if there's food involved. So if you know if you're gonna feed me then most likely I'm gonna be there. So I want to talk about Matthew Perry. No, yeah, we haven't had a chance to talk about recipes. Matthew Perry. Definitely rest in peace. So what how did you find out and like, what was your reaction? Like most things Twitter. That's that's my that's my news source. So one reason why I really have Twitter because seems like everything breaks on Twitter before anything else. Yeah. And then I don't I don't really go on Twitter much anymore. Yeah, sorry. Sorry. X. M, which is the dumbest thing ever. But yeah, apparently he drowned in a hot tub. Yeah. Okay. Did they find out anything? Like, he did not have anything in the system? From what I read, but you know, I think he was 5455. Yeah, he's my age. Yeah, he's like, a little bit older than me. So hate to see. A Marauder go down like that rest in peace. It's really sad, right? I mean, I wasn't. I guess I wouldn't say I watched all of the friends. See. See I got a hot take on that. Have you watched them all? No, but I used to date a girl who was super watching friends. And did you watch with her? I did. I got ready for my take on that. Yeah. And I also want to know like, what did you like? Who was your favorite character? I take I'm not sure I'm I'm not gonna say this. grammatically correct. But the. And it was the least funniest show I think I've ever seen in my life. It just wasn't funny. You didn't like Phoebe singing in the cat. Oh, smelly cat. No. And you say all of that like was? Don't you think there was like one season that maybe you liked better than others? No. They weren't. They mean? Okay, let's put it like this. If they were less attractive, right? Right, then nobody would watch the show. That's true. But that's how the premise of most shows that you have to have. You can have funny shows and people not be attractive. I just think they were just a good looking collection of people that were a little bit weird and quirky. And, you know, it was kind of like, I wouldn't say groundbreaking per se because I think it was actually a riff off of Living Single, but we can go we can talk about that some other time. That which came out before friends, by the way. Same kind of premise but was by people. But it just wasn't funny to me. It didn't it never made me laugh out loud. I mean, it just kind of was like, oh, yeah, it was kind of like silly and goofy and blah, blah, blah. But it was just a collection of pretty people and all the guest stars they would bring on were more pretty people and you just like seeing pretty people. Do you know, like, you know, somewhat amusing stuff. And then that's what that was. I mean, there's nobody I mean, Elaine was hot, in my opinion, but I mean, nobody Wait So so how about the girl that you wish you dating her that she really loved it? Why did she love it? You know, she just she's just like friends? I mean, I'll put it out there. She She was white. And she just like friends. Do you think it's like a white show? Oh, for sure. You said it. I did. Let's timestamp that. Well, you think about it. I bet you if that came out now they'd have more people of color in it. You know, just Oh, cool. How all the commercials these people of color. And of course and there will be there would be a gay person. Right. So looking back it was very white. Yeah. Homogenous, very homogenous. Very good word. Yeah. So but I don't know. I watched a couple of his movies Matthew Perry's movies that maybe? Yeah, right. Yeah. Got a couple of goals. But he's got such a, you know, he had a good screen presence. Of all the characters on that show. He was probably my favorite. Like if there was someone that you had to choose choose and maybe maybe made me like, smile a little bit or? No, I don't know. Right. Because he was kind of he was self deprecating self deprecating humor. Yeah. So he Yeah, he may. He may have made me chuckle, too. Yeah. But the other ones. Joey. Right. I was um, Kardashian in that one OJ show. Oh, yeah. I can't take him seriously. Yeah, but I was really, you know, even though it wasn't a huge friends fan, it just seemed like such a waste, right, like, super sad that it came down to that, you know, that's how it ended for him. It wasn't suicide, right? It was no accident. You know, when I first heard the news, I was like, oh, man, he must have a deed. And, you know, I sat in the hot tub and drove. So who knows real story, maybe a cover up? I don't know. But just recipes, I mean, audition. Right, I realized is, you know, the show's impact on society when these are super popular show. You know, I'm not going to discredit that, you know, and they were all very famous. So, I mean, obviously, I know the characters and, you know, they're really correct. So they made it. Right. So they definitely had a an impact, or imprint, I should say, on society. And, you know, I'll give him credit for that. It was a wildly popular show, and I would check in and I'll maybe be forced to watch it sometimes. But it sounds like he was trying to do a lot of good things, you know, to help people who had who are alcoholics or who were, you know, I didn't know that. I didn't know we're addicts. Yeah. Now he started some, like a house. It's not a home, but some place to help people who had addiction problems. And I think that's what he said he wanted to be remembered for. So I think that's great. That he was really, I don't know, I think I think trying to move away just from the stardom and trying to find meaning, which I think is amazing. And makes it even sadder. Right? Yeah, for sure. I mean, you know, he was our age. So I felt like he, you know, a lot more to give to life. Sure. For sure, you know, so recipes. Matthew Perry, prayers and thoughts to his family and friends. Um, let's move on to another midlife Murata that recently was bestowed the sexiest man alive. Give it up for Patrick Dempsey. He's actually 57 Is he older than us? He's 57. We're not far behind. Well, I mean, you know, speak for yourself, but Well, yeah. So Patrick Dempsey, was he mixed in? Make dreamy, dreamy, okay. You know, I never watched that show. See, there's another thing that so I'm always like, I'll watch a couple seasons, and then I'll just get tired of it. You know, but I watched it. I mean, he was cute. I mean, yeah. And he was in all those old. He was in a bunch of bunch of 80s movies. Yeah, he was one of those guys. he's kind of like George Clooney. A little bit. Whereas, like, you know, you knew him from like, George Clooney was in like, the facts of life or something like that. Right. Right. Right. And, you know, okay, all right. Whatever guy but nobody, nobody paid any attention to him that much. And then he on to Zack, yeah, he then he, you know, I did something about it. Yeah. He picked a great on Grey's Anatomy, I think Pete Yeah. So you know, they got a little bit older. You know, look a little bit more mature. He has good hair. Good at Yeah, great. Hair is great. Arizona. Nice, you know? Correct. So yeah, I love getting given credit to gentleman. I guess if women do that, too, but two gentlemen that peak a little bit later in their lives and you know, get get, you know, hot at like, you know, late 30s 40s and 50s. So, right. Do you think it's more common for men though? Oh, of course. I mean, they haven't. Yeah. What are we saying there? Um, but I researched like, what how do they select him? Right? Like, how out of the blue? Would they have picked him? Because I thought he had wanted a while ago, but I guess he sounded like a runner up or something. How do you get a name extinct? Oh, McDreamy, whatever you was, and not wind. Right. Right. So so they say it's kind of what's trending or what's the mood of the people are right now because it's People magazine. So I was wondering if it's just the people who read People Magazine are also the same age but I don't know any young people who are reading that know who these people magazine reads magazines. Exactly. Domain I guess it's just the online. Good even is a publication. I think it's still on newsstands like you can go to the grocery store the supermarket. So yeah, I mean, yeah, I don't I don't pay attention. What was the one? The National Enquirer? Those used to be right? Oh yeah, the newsstand and I don't know that's out or not. I haven't seen those in a while. I mean, I guess there are a guide to make TV. I doubt it. Um, but yeah, I mean, it's, yeah, I remember those publications, right. You know, as you're in the grocery line, and I guess People Magazine and Entertainment Weekly or whatever, those magazines, but yes. I think my sister used to subscribe to that. So yeah. So I think that he, I think, another criteria is that are they doing something interesting or gets back and I think he is doing I think he also started something and in honor of his mother who had counseling through epic Yeah, exactly. So it's like, you have to be very well rounded. You can't just be hot. Well, I was I did, like peruse the list of Sexiest Men. Yeah, like the you know, going back a little bit. And you know, there's there's some guys that weren't, you know, in their 50s in their mid thigh. George Clooney one before him. He's always like, he had to have been one but Paul Rudd was a couple of years ago. It just elbow. I can see either, so Blake Shelton, was old rock who just think just turned 50. So yeah, representation. Shout out to the mid lifers out there. Doing a bit doing a bit. Now. Is there a female equivalent to that? I don't think so. I wonder if they it's on purpose. Like it seems to sexist. I mean, you know, there's plenty of magazines that will feed your sexy women, you know, Oh, yeah. We were talking about Martha Stewart right. 81 on Sports Illustrated. I mean, because they're trying to make a point, right. Yeah. Older people can be sexy to. Sure. Sure. And I'm sure I'll conform to that opinion a little bit more when I get to that age, but a golden bachelor. Yeah, well, I saw that cover. I mean, it looks highly filtered. To me. But hey, kudos to her a shout out to Martha Stewart. She's definitely she's always doing some she's something she's, uh, she's. She's one that you know, in the streets, away in the streets who say you know what, we probably would we just wouldn't tell anybody. You know what I mean? So Martha Stewart, I shout out to you. I don't know what you're doing. To look that good at 80. But, you know, you should I mean, you sell everything else. So what your beauty secrets are for that? She's just doing it all. She is super proud of her. She didn't look bad. I mean, that's not what I really want to see on Sports Illustrated cover to be honest with you. But, you know, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna knock her for that. So yeah, so I mean, if you're, if you're on any type of social media, whatever, there's been a bunch of memes about Andre 3000. He cracks me up, but apparently he is releasing an album. Friday, the 17th of November. You know, and all the hip hop heads. You know, he are super excited about it. You know, we love Andre 3000. He would be probably everyone's list of top 10 MCs. Okay, we'll go with that too. But style. That's what I was. He's got great style. But yeah, I mean, he's, he's a rappers rapper. And so, you know, he also he's also a singer, right? Like on like, hey, yeah. The one who's singing who's the one? Yeah, he does. Yeah. But he's known for, you know, ramen. He's known for rap. And so since outcasts broke up, he has been on some features with other rappers. And he'd always whatever he's been on, he usually has the best verse. And, you know, so when it was announced that he's got an album come out, everybody say yes, we're ready. We're ready for for you know, Andre three stacks to, you know, put out some tracks we ready to rock with. Then we find out that it's a non rapping musical album. So apparently he's playing the flute loot on these tracks. The flu is popular these days. Flu plays a flop. Yeah. That's not what we want. That's not three stacks we want but don't you think that's something that is a characteristic of getting older is that you just don't give a fuck. And you just want I mean, whatever you're doing, just put it out there. Yeah, he can do that. And I was saying he can't do that. But he is all time. Top rapper. We want to hear him rap. And the first album out in like, 17 years. Yeah. So you know, they're gonna get laughed at maybe he's afraid. Oh, no, you could tell by the features he still has raised. I mean, just like Jay Z, Jay Z is timeless. You know, he got it. What do you think it is? He's put out or I read somewhere that he says he doesn't have anything to rap about anymore. I guess. Inspired is not inspired. You know, he made a comment. You know, hey, I got a couple of nice we schedule. What am I gonna rap about? Right. And as that's selling himself Person of the, you know, in their mid life, it's okay to rap about being in your mid life. You know, you you over overcame adversity, you guys successful, you still know about what's going on in life. People still want to hear about hear your opinions about what's transpiring in the world, not even in rap, but just in the world itself. And you're an artist. So I mean, for him to say he has nothing to talk about rap about anymore. I just don't believe that. I mean, I think he does. He just, I guess he feels like the culture or society doesn't want to hear him. Because he's older. Right, but that's not true. I mean, like, you know, JC is still paused, and we got to start maybe start a petition. Right? Well, yeah, I mean, I don't know what I could do. Maybe when this podcast is popping, maybe we'll have a little more clout to do something like that. But yeah, well, maybe if he if the album flops, he'll actually come on our show. Come on. That would be a good for sure. Yeah, our Q rating would go up. But no, I say, man, come on, man. You have an ability to flow. And, you know, people still appreciate that. And still want to hear that's why we're all like, kind of disappointed. That's why all these memes are going out about him just playing a flute. There's all kinds of weird like, flute me heaps. Yeah, you know, it just it just cracks me up. But I hope right, is it out? It's now it comes out tomorrow comes out tomorrow. So let's maybe it's a maybe it's a publicity stunt. Maybe it's maybe it's maybe it's good incorrect news. Maybe we'll get you know, a bomb ass, you know, project tomorrow. I'm still going to check it out. I mean, it's yeah, yes. Does Andre 3000 You know, because maybe it is a publicity thing that he's trying to write. Right? Well, yeah. I mean, he's, he's wanting to me he's one of those people that he don't he don't He doesn't need what they call a rollout. He doesn't need a bus. You know, you once you find out day of day before Jay is coming out Drake's coming out. Kanye is coming out Beyonce, even Taylor Swift, whoever. People are going to go to it. You don't need a rollout for days. Yeah. Let's give him a chance. I mean, Alyssa does the whole flute thing. And it's popular. But she she raps and sings she just doesn't play the flute. I mean, this is all just instrumentals. Okay, so I'm gonna be a very disappointed Brother, if i All right, well, let's just review it or whatever. Yeah, maybe next time, we can talk about it once we've heard it heard it. Yeah, I mean, it's still very highly anticipated. It's you know, and I just think that we need to get out of this. Especially the hip hop culture of once we get to a certain age, that we don't have anything to provide anymore or that the public doesn't want us and right. I mean, hip hop is the only general genre of music that doesn't really celebrate you know, the elders. We turned our back we turned our back on for the for the most part, you know, especially kids, I think it's getting better but kids today don't want to hear Jay Z they don't want to hear well. I shouldn't say that but they don't want to hear I think they still older older rappers you know that's why a lot older rappers rapping now. Rapping now the old stuff, right? I mean, you're you're closer. You're like the old stuff. Yeah, but they don't. Yeah, it's just like because everything is driven by tic tac, you know, or yeah, there's they want to see people who look. Yeah. Well, but also I don't think we do a good job, maybe not even a kid, I just don't think that we do a good job as people in the 30s 40s 50s. Of still holding these artists up and still making them relevant. I mean, you know, Aerosmith Rolling Stones, they can go on tour and sell out stadiums, and they're in their 70s and 80s. So isn't like people like Public Enemy, they're still touring. But they're small venues. I mean, they need to be or they're in a festival like, yeah, thank God for something bigger. Correct? Yeah, thank God for festivals. But yeah, I mean, Public Enemy should be selling out arenas, just like any of these other bands. Do. They? Just, from my knowledge, they don't. They don't they don't do that. That's why they have that's why you hear who's gonna buy the tickets? Right? Well, that's why we need to do better as a as a, as a hip hop community of saying, Hey, we still want to support you, we still want to hear you. You know, they should be played on radios. But I think as people get older, we're like, we will hear you from our living rooms. Gonna go out, you know, we will appreciate you, Spotify. Exactly. But people will go out and go reserved for Bon Jovi or whatever. I mean, you know, I'm saying they these guys, it's true. Yeah. But I think the whole arena culture, you know, it's a different, I don't know, you know, different demographic, right. And then there's all these accidents that happen. So, you know, people get older, they want to play it safe. Yeah, but, I mean, we still should be able to have them perform classics, and we still have a desire to go see them. That's why I'm a little but don't you think I wonder if it's part of it is to once you get older, you're like, I don't want to go on tour, you know, I'll do my tiny death. But the old rock guys still do that. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, maybe it's not that fun anymore. Maybe it would be interesting to talk to some of these older Hip Hop folks and be like, hey, yeah, I mean, it's, it's kind of sad. I mean, you know, a lot of them, you know, sign shady record deals and didn't make a lot of money out of, you know, you have these guys that may, you know, maybe had, like one platinum album or something like that, and now we're broke. And then, you know, they have to do small, small little tours, small little clubs with these with these called the chicken circuit back in the day, and not making any money. I mean, well, that's why we should have become managers, you know? Because that's also, you know, because because an artist doesn't necessarily know how to promote him or herself, right? Sure. A lot of it's having a good manager. And yeah, I thought about that back in the day, but then you got your Suge Knight and everything else and people dying from now and I'm cool. I'm cool. See, I go to an arena to a concert. No, I would still go to arena. I know. I know. If it's an arena. I I feel safer in an arena than I do. Like a club night club. Oh, yeah. No exits. Yeah. No. Definitely. I would definitely go to arena show. But yeah, I'm not going to go small clubs or strip clubs and go see ludicrous or something like that. I'm not doing that. But let's see how the album is. I'm still hopeful. We'll see. I'm hopeful too. I'm hopeful too. We'll see. Hey, Max, I got a little story to tell you. Okay. Um, so I was out somewhere. I think it was out watching football the other day with my friend. And the conversation came to what we're wearing. And so I have I have somewhat recently and I think it's a trend, you know, like, athletic leisure wear is is really big now right here, right? Okay. So, I have started wearing more athletic leisure, we're not just joggers, but like matching joggers and top sets and stuff like that. Right? And they are really, really super comfortable. And I say, You know what, why am I wearing jeans anymore? So matching top and pants. Absolutely. You know, you got your jogger bottoms. Like I said, like we call the suit, you know? That's a new suit. I guess it's kind of it's a little bit trendy, right? It's trendy. It is you know, yeah, hip hop artists wearing. So I mean, you know, whatever, you know, you have your Nike suit or whatever. Right? Oh, you Whatever so I'm wearing one of my suits and I got to work or no I mean I don't really go to go into work but yeah I can I can I can wear it because no one sees me when I do that. So you know you got your little nice little set of joggers you know now you know in this spring and summer you worry like nylon base joggers. Now, fall and winter and more more cotton, you know, whatever heavy material. And you know, here I am thinking I'm looking fly. You know, I got my work set on. I got some weight. Where were you? I was at a bar watching football or something. Like on a Friday night or a Sunday. It was Sunday. Okay. And during the day during the day, I mean, it's Sunday. I mean, I'm chillin, right. Yeah. And so you know, got my little set on and got some Jays on a couple of pretty fresh got a nice matching hat. Boom, boom. So conversation got to like, close and I was like, man, you know what? I'm never wearing jeans again. Why would I wear the jeans or jeans are uncomfortable. I'm right there with you. Right? jeans or I'll do jeans I just don't want to do dressier than jeans. Right, right. Because there's comfort jeans these days? I guess so. I don't know. Like, you know, I'm not wearing what a jeggings or anything like that. You know, I'm still wearing like expandable waistline. But you know, I'm wearing just like denim jeans, you know, right? Yeah. And you get to dad jeans? No, no, let's let's put that out there. No dad jeans. No. No skinny jeans, just a nice fit are done with them. Dealing with what? Jeans? For the most part, I thought skinny jeans. Yes, I am done with skinny jeans. There was a small time. This is a trend of everybody. Not just I thought so not just older people because today I heard on the radio as it was like, oh, there's a trend now that you know couples there because all the clothes are now the same. That they all dress alike. Right? And we recommend that you start with like the same jacket. So I've never been a fan of my dressing and like your partner. Do you do that? No. Have you done that? No, but I thought about it on the radio because I would wear the suit. That would be kind of cute. Like get the whole family to wear the suit. I mean, yeah, if you came in like a squad Yeah. I can see that. But you just you and your husband will do it. I guess people don't really go in a mall anymore. So somebody somebody was making fun of you know, they asked you know, I I proclaim no more jeans from me. And they were like, so what are you giving up? I don't want any you know, I you know you I think back of when I was younger, and you would see the the older people wearing. Right like pretty much exactly. They weren't as fitted and you know, you they would just be like loose baggy, you know, whatever. You see the old people whatever. I said like that I'm not Am I like them, but now it's like, Oh man, I'm not like that because I think we are kind of like that. went outside today for a walk and I have white white socks on sweatpants. And crocs Yeah, I'm walking around like, oh my gosh, I look like I'm eight years old. Now but I'm not doing like the dad shoes, whatever that New Balance. I'm not doing those new balance or cool now. I'm not doing hookah hookah shoes or whatever. Yeah, I don't know. Fresh Saturdays a nice matching jogger top bottom building Jordans have support that's my big thing. Support do not have support and they're so cool. So I have to put like insoles in those things. There's nothing wrong way and so that support that. I mean, oh, I mean, I haven't done it yet. But I've thought about throwing some like, Doctor shows up. Right. But you know, she's like, damn, have you given up and I was like, Oh, wait, so who was this? Was this somebody you're trying to know? This is? No, this is just some some. Some girl who's always kind of contrary anyway, so somebody a friend. Yeah, it was a friend. Yeah, for sure. But it made me think about think back to when I was younger and then you will see old people where I can picture now. Yeah, but I just think that has evolved. And like you said it's become trendy now. Can you send the Lulu amends and stuff like that. Everybody's wearing right so everybody's super more comfortable now wearing more comfortable clothes and particularly after COVID You know, right well there's no reason right but I just I thought what she said was dumb and she does usually say dumb stuff but it does. It does didn't make me think about it man. Like, I'm not wanting to hold people now that just like wearing like, windbreaker I'm not gonna change a windbreakers are kind of coming back. Right? You told me, so maybe you need to take a picture of yourself in your suit and we'll put it on the Instagram. For sure. Now, I want to say this to everybody out there. Like I got a lot of boys who are very more grammatically great, who are very fashion forward. You know, they'll buy like, you know, you know Gucci Emiri, all kinds of snow. Now what I am wearing, and I probably should not disclose this. The most expensive thing I'm probably wearing is Nike, but I am not adverse to wearing Old Navy whatsoever. Oh, yeah. Well, Jamie's got so stuff. Well, I do feel a certain kind of way. When I walk in. They're like, Man, I'm not too over this. But okay, we're just gonna go with it. You know, I'm not I'm not you have to have this whole thing about fast fashion. Right, right. Worth it. Like, I always think that I want to spend more money on something more quality, but then I get sucked into the Old Navy thing too. So you guys call a fast, fast fashion? Well, fast fashion is more like h&m and forever 21 You know, where they like, turn out all these cheap clothes. Are those Chinese brands? Like? Sure, I know. Yeah. I've heard a lot of people talking about shine. And yeah, I mean, it looks good. But you have to. Yeah, or if you just, you know, you're just adding more clothes to the landfills. You know? Think about that. Are you really going to keep them for that long or it's very conscious of you? I never even thought about Wow, no, we just donate our clothes to Yeah, but they they fall apart? No, but if you think you fall apart nobody's gonna wear those you know anything about that. Right? And then you have the tendency is to replace them often, you know, but I still don't spend a lot of money on clothes even though I try not to I'm becoming more frugal in my trade of getting all right. I was gonna say no, I become more frugal as I've gotten older but no, that's not true. I've always been like that. So I'm not gonna be bringing Yeah, same with my my mom used to always say don't be a slave to fashion. It's coming from like, first generation immigrant you know the guilt. So yeah, I mean, that's, that's that's where I'm at in life right now. No jeans. You see if you see me on the street, college boy wearing joggers and whatever being super comfortable. Yeah, no chafing. Yeah, yeah, so Well, I think that's important comfort first. Thanks for joining us for this episode of midlife marauders.
