Speaker 3:

Speaker 4:

Why not?

Speaker 5:

Speaker 4:

I'll move on and then I'll come out even better than before, and I'll never see this place anymore, because my faith is getting stronger every day. I'm removing everything that's in my way, and the fact that I survived another day makes me say why not me, why not me, why, why why?

Speaker 5:

One day I'm up, the next I'm down.

Speaker 4:

Problems coming faster than I can count. Who can I?

Speaker 5:

run through, know what to talk through.

Speaker 4:

Can somebody tell me what to do? Why did I do it? Why did this happen to me? You can get through it. You just have to believe what I do now. Gotta make it all count, so why not me? I'm the perfect person to go through this storm.

Speaker 5:

It won't break me, it won't kill me, I'll move on.

Speaker 4:

Then I'll come out even better than before and I'll never see this place anymore, because my faith is getting stronger every day. I'm removing everything that's in my way and the fact that I survived another day. Oh, oh oh. This is my moment. There's no turning back. It took me a while, but I have no regrets. I'm giving my all Let go of the past. I'm not gonna break and I'm gonna be afraid. Oh, this is my moment. This is my time. Just move out my way, cuz I'm not backing down.

Speaker 4:

Now that I realize who I am, I'm alive. So why not me? I'm the perfect person to go through this storm. It won't break me, it won't kill me. I will warn that I've come out even better than before and I'll never see this place anymore, cause my faith is getting stronger. Every day, I remove the ne'erith thing that's in my way and the fact that I survived another day Makes me sign. Why not me? I'm the perfect person to go through this storm. It won't break me, it won't kill me. I will warn that I've come out even better than before and I'll never see this place anymore, cause my faith is getting stronger. Speaker 1:

by Tasha page lock card. And if you guys are just tuning in, we are. The title of this is beauty redefined by Miss Lily Parks. So, miss liquid parks, can you tell us more about your journey towards self love and how you overcame the challenges you face?

Speaker 3:

You know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know you know, Add a little sugar, honey suckling.

Speaker 4:

A great big expression of happiness, boy, you couldn't miss with a dozen roses, such would astound you the joy of children laughing around you. These are the makings of you. It is true, the makings of you. The righteous way to go. Little one would know or believe if I told them. So You're second to none. The love of old mankind should reflect some side of these words I've tried to recite. They are close but not quite, almost impossible to do. Reciting the makings of you, the righteous way to go. Little one would know or believe if I told them. So You're second to none. The love of old mankind should reflect some side of these words I've tried to recite. They are close but not quite, almost impossible to do. Reciting the makings of you.

Speaker 1:

The righteous way to go. Little one would know or believe if I told them. So that was Mr Curtis Mayfield, with the makings of you.

Speaker 3:

Everybody has a origin and everything that we go through and everything that we do in this lifetime brings us to where we are today.

Speaker 1:

Okay, thank you so much for that, and right after that, I wanted to ask you what have you done in the mountains ofusuображi michie, and how would you describe your state of temperature?

Speaker 3:

What has it been like for you from earlier in your life? So I wanted to get young ladies to know that they were beautiful and that they had to redefine that excuse based on what television said. You know, television will say, or the world will say you know what I'm not tall enough, I'm not short enough, I'm not thin enough, I'm not, I'm not heavy enough, my skin's too light, my skin too dark, my hair too short, my hair too long, my hair straight, my hair's tinky. It will have you redefining yourself over and over again. So I wanted the girls to understand that loving yourself was a necessary thing that they used to do.

Speaker 3:

So I developed the affirmation I love myself and I practiced it on myself. You know, and I'm getting in the way and I'm sorry I'm just writing it to yourself, probably hearing the rain, the roof of the truck. I was standing in the mirror and you know, in the concept when they say what people make the angry, I found that was the end. It should have calmed down by the end. So I started doing it in that same concept, but I was just looking at the mirror and saying I love myself, I love myself. But the funny thing was I didn't believe it. You know, I was just sticking off the ball. I was just saying I love myself.

Speaker 3:

But the more I practiced it, the more I recited then I love myself. That when you're little, I love myself. I'm just doing a very tall, but then I love myself. You know how you can come in with a, with a sad and the head shaking and the biggest sad thing is oh hey, I love myself. And when you say it, people know that this girl, this girl means what she says. So I love myself is one of my favorite affirmations. Because it's true, and so I did that to give young people the understanding to love themselves from the standpoint that God sees you, god loves us, god loves us in our, in our field. You know what I'm saying. He loves us just the way we are. The world is to tear that down and tear it away. So I love myself is my favorite. Say it with me, gacklin I love myself.

Speaker 1:

I love myself, honey. I love myself so much it is. Sometimes I have to understand that loving myself is the greatest love of all. Come on, Whitney.

Speaker 4:

I believe the children are our future.

Speaker 4:

Teach them well and let them lead the way.

Speaker 4:

Show them all the beauty they possess inside.

Speaker 4:

Give them a sense of pride. To make it easier, let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be. Everybody searching for a hero. People need someone to look up to. I never found anyone who fulfilled my needs A lonely place to live and so I learned to depend on me.

Speaker 4:

I decided long ago never to walk in any one shadow. If I fail, if I succeed, at least I live as I believe. No matter what they take from me. They can take away my dignity, because the greatest love of all is heaven and it's me. I found the greatest love of all inside of me. The greatest love of all is easy to achieve Learning to love yourself. It is the greatest love of all.

Speaker 4:

I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride. To make it easier, let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be. I decided long ago never to walk in any one shadow. If I fail, if I succeed, at least I live as I believe, no matter what they take from me. They can take away my dignity, because the greatest love of all is happening to me. I found the greatest love of all inside of me. The greatest love of all is easy to achieve Learning to love yourself. It is the greatest love of all. And if I chance, that special place that you've been dreaming of leads you to a lonely place, falling off to rank in love.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and that was the greatest love of all. Now let's get back into Miss Laquita Parks. Miss Laquita Parks, you have a book that's called Good Morning with Friends. So what inspired you to write that book and how did it contribute to your mission of encouraging others?

Speaker 3:

I started that book every morning on Facebook. For a while I would just do a message and say good morning friends. Every morning it was more for me, actually, because I would say a prayer and then I started having people sending me messages saying thank you for that encouragement or thank you for that message, and so every morning I don't know how long I did it, but it was so motivational and so encouraging I decided to take all those Good Morning Friends messages and put them in a book called Good Morning Friends, and it's a book of motivation and inspiration and I sometimes go back and read some of them myself and they really are inspirational because sometimes, you know, I didn't know what they would do for a night, meant for a while, but I used to think, okay, we could say it's do for a night, show it to us in the morning. You could say it would be all good, it would be in the morning. But that's not what that means. It just means that we could do it for a night and in the morning you have a different idea, you have a different perspective or different way of looking at things.

Speaker 3:

So Good Morning Friends speaks to kids who have a little bit of motivation for their day, starting their day off, and it's just a good morning friend. I'm a person who don't start talking to me without saying hello. So when I work in the office people come in and just start talking to me, I would say good morning and I would just hold that stand as a seal. They finally got it and said oh, I'm sorry, good morning. I think it's just rude to start talking to people without saying good morning. So Good Morning. Friends speaks to motivated, inspired people. You know, say your prayers. A lot of people don't do that. Say your prayers and hear the dose of inspiration for your day.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, yes, that is one of the rudest things. You just get up and start talking First. You get up, you wipe your face, you don't brush your teeth, you just go right, grab the phone, don't say thank you, jesus, for waking me up for another day. You don't do nothing, just get up, grab the phone and go. And that's no way we practice.

Speaker 1:

In our house we also practice getting up saying our prayers before we get in the car, before we get a kiss their devices. They have to quote three scriptures of the Bible to us and when they get in the car, they have to give three scriptures on the way back home from school, as well as tell us how their day was. They have to tell everyone hello before they start even speaking. No matter who house they go into, they have to speak when they enter the room and when they exit a room. So, with that being said, I'm glad you spoke on that as well, because when we do that and when we do that and when we put when we do that and when we put God first, you know, it just is always a great, great experience to dwell in the secret place.

Speaker 4:

And we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God.

Speaker 1:

And we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God, and we who dwells in the secret place of the most high God. So, using the book, the affirmation book, you know it gives you the Bible. You read the Bible. It gives you something a little extra.

Speaker 1:

And I know there are those that say you don't need anything other than the Bible. Well, that's true, that's true. But affirmations gives you something else too. It gives you something to add to your life, to add to your day, to be able to help others grow. You know our goal too is to help another person. You know that, saying, you know, a sister, fix my crown, come here, let me fix your crown, and I'm fixing your crown and you should be fixing my crown. Amen, amen. I couldn't have said it better myself, because when we fix our crowns and help each other out, we do what Miss Jill Scott says do, and there's live life like it's golden.

Speaker 5:

Hey, oh, hey, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm taking my freedom, pulling it off the shelf, putting it on the chain when it round my neck. I'm taking my freedom putting it in my car wherever I choose to go. It won't take me far. Living my life like it's golden. I'm taking my own freedom, putting it in my song, singing loud and strong, grooving all day long. I'm taking my freedom putting it in my stroll. I'll be high, stepping y'all, letting the joy unfold. Living my life like it's golden. Living my life like it's golden. Living my life like it's golden. I'm holding onto my freedom. Can't take it from me. I was born into it, it comes naturally. I'm strumming my own freedom, playing the god in me, representing his glory. Hope he's proud of me. Hope he's proud of me. Living my life like it's golden living my life like it's golden.

Speaker 5:

Living my life like it's golden, golden, golden, golden.

Speaker 4:

Living my life, living my life, I get golden. It really matters to me. Living my life like it's golden, golden, golden, golden, golden, golden. Living my life like it's golden, golden, golden, golden, golden, golden. Living my life like it's golden, golden, golden, golden, golden, golden, golden. Living my life like it's golden, golden, golden, golden, golden, golden, golden. I'm living my life like it's golden, golden, golden.

Speaker 1:

Okay, yes, so that was Ms Jill Scott Hunay, with Living my Life Like it's Golden. Ah, look, taking my freedom and pulling it off the shelf, honey. What did you think about that? Ms Laquita Parks? Yeah, you know, I love that song. I was sitting over here singing too.

Speaker 1:

Living my life like it's golden. It's living my life like it's meant to be lived. Living my life like I'm not ashamed of who I am. Living my life like I am important. It is necessary, love it, love it, love it.

Speaker 1:

Living my life like it's golden, having no regrets in my life, living like God intended for me to live. That's what I'm talking about. Yes, yes, yes, because when we do that and we walk in our purpose and we walk in our truth, it just, you know, it resonates and it, when we manifest what we want in our lives and we say it, those affirmations hit home. And it actually what my mama always say pop it out your mouth, okay, say how you feel, speak on it. And once you say what you want out of life, you are telling God hey, this is what I want, and whatever you speak, you shall have in his name and, with that being said, I need you to speak some positivity. So if you could share, you know, some of the affirmations and inspirational quotes from your book Beauty Redefined that have resonated with you the most, just give us a little snippet, okay, all right. So I absolutely love this book and I'll start with the dedication of I dedicate this book to all the women who are on a quest to make positive changes in their lives. I am the first to admit that change is not easy, but if you want to realize your dreams and achieve your goals, change is necessary. That's that.

Speaker 1:

Introduction is one of my favorite Love, one of my. Now, I'm not gonna lie, I love all of these and, as I said before, I love myself. Is was still my favorite. I love myself. When we love ourselves, we are better equipped to love and care for others. Remember, loving yourself isn't selfish, it is necessary. That's one of my favorite.

Speaker 1:

Another one of my favorites is I love God, I love myself, I love my life. Love has to be the strongest incentive for personal change, and that just means I have to love myself enough to want to change. If I don't love myself enough, I'm not. What's the benefit of my changing? Another one I love is I make the choice to be happy. No matter how long we search, the only one that has the power to make you happy is you. And one more I have the power to fashion my own future. The choices we make today will determine how we will fashion our care to afford tomorrow.

Speaker 1:

A lot of people look on the outside and look at the outer person, but it's not the outer person that matters, it's the inside, because you can change the outside. So, girl, I can have my hair straight today and curl it tomorrow. I can have on a pair of raggedy jeans and a T-shirt today and I can have on a thousand dollar suit tomorrow. But if my attitude, if my character, is nasty, then that thousand dollar suit is gonna be like Something that came out of the trash, can? I'm not going to say goodwill, y'all, because I like goodwill. I like the goodwill too. And my other one is love is the only key that can unlock the door of ignorance. Once the door of ignorance has been opened, love and knowledge will never allow it to close again.

Speaker 1:

Those are just a few snippets of some of my favorites. Honestly, the whole book is my favorite. Mine too. You know what? I was having a rough patch. I was going through a rough patch.

Speaker 1:

You guys and I was calling Mama Quitta and just getting, you know, some words of encouragement from her, and you know I was on the brink of really getting over that hump.

Speaker 1:

But then I got a package in the mail and it was from Mama Quitta and it had this book in there and I absolutely I read it from beginning to the end the same day and you know just those little things like that.

Speaker 1:

You know it really. You know it makes us, you know, appreciate, you know people like Mama Pat, people like Laquita Parks, people like Renee Hudson, people like Carolyn Coleman, chanel Wesley Coleman, just so many people in our lives who are actually positive, people who come in and just grab you up when you need them and just show you that love and that genuine support. And they also let you know it's okay to say yes to yourself, it's okay to understand that of course you're going to fall, you're going to have those days, but when you get up in the mirror you want to always remember yourself. And, with that being said, I played this earlier in an interview that I did with Renee Jones-Hudson and I think that it's it would behoove me to play it again. So I'm going to go ahead and play it. I'm not going to say what the title is, I'm just going to play it for y'all.

Speaker 4:

I'm not going to say what the title is.

Speaker 4:

I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is.

Speaker 1:

I'm not going to say what the title is.

Speaker 1:

I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is. I'm not going to say what the title is.

Speaker 5:

Mr Ward, your first question.

Speaker 4:

What is your aspiration in life?

Speaker 1:

My aspiration in life would be to be happy.

Speaker 7:

My mama said you're a pretty girl. What's in your head, it doesn't matter. Brush your hair, make your teeth, what you wear, it's all that matters. Just another stage. Imagine the pain away. This time I'm gonna take the crown without falling down, down, down. Pretty girl, you should delight in whatever works. Perfection is the disease of a nation. Pretty girl, pretty girl, you should delight in whatever works. You try to pick the pin but you can't pick what you can't see. It's the soul that needs to separate. Blunder hair, black chairs, TV sets, big girls, better, Soft beach, sugar free, cold ass. There is better. Just another stage. Imagine the pain away.

Speaker 4:

This time I'm gonna take the crown without falling down, down, down. Pretty girl, you should delight in whatever works. Perfection is the disease of a nation.

Speaker 7:

Pretty girl, pretty girl, you should delight in whatever works. You try to pick the pin, but you can't pick what you can't see. It's the soul that needs a surgery. Hang out. No doctor or field I can take the pain away. The pain's inside and nobody freezes from nobody. It's the soul that needs a surgery. Last time and now can only take you so far. Then you break when the faith was finally due. In the dark, you left the shattered mirrors in the shards of a beautiful place. Pretty girl, you should delight in whatever works. Perfection is the disease of a nation. Pretty girl, pretty girl, you should delight in whatever works. You try to pick the pin, but you can't pick what you can't see. It's the soul that needs a surgery. You're alone, all by yourself, and you lie in your bed. Perfection stands right in front of you, are you?

Speaker 4:

happy with yourself? You slip away, you last away, you lose an adventure. Are you happy with yourself?

Speaker 7:

I'll smile on what it takes to fool this doll. I'll do it till the sun goes down and all through the night I'll tell you what you want to hear. Get my sunglasses on while I shed a tear. It's now or the right time.

Speaker 4:

I put my arm around so you won't fall. I put my arm around so you'll dare to. I'm unstoppable. I'm a pusher with some rage.

Speaker 7:

I'm invincible.

Speaker 4:

And I win every single game. I'm so powerful.

Speaker 7:

I don't need batteries today. I'm so confident and I'm unstoppable today. Unstoppable today. Unstoppable today. Breakdown only alone. I will cry out now. You'll never see what's hiding out, hiding out deep down. I know I've heard that you're feeling short. It's the only way to make friendships go, but I'm too afraid. Now I put my arm around so you won't fall.

Speaker 4:

I put my arm around so you won't fall. I put my arm around so you'll dare to. I'm unstoppable. I'm a pusher with some rage. I'm invincible and I win every single game. I'm so powerful.

Speaker 7:

I don't need batteries today. I'm so confident. I'm unstoppable today. Unstoppable today.

Speaker 4:

Unstoppable today. Unstoppable today. Unstoppable today. Unstoppable today, unstoppable today. I'm unstoppable today. I put my arm around. Show you how strong I am. I put my arm around. I'll show you that I am. I'm unstoppable. I'm a pusher with no brakes. I'm invincible. The hot wind every single day Mind's a-powerful. I don't need a better music blade.

Speaker 7:

I'm so confident. Yeah, I'm unstoppable today. Yeah, I'm unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable.

Speaker 4:

Today, I'm unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today. Yeah, I'm unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today, I'm unstoppable today. Now, I'm unstoppable, so dirty.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and that was one of Mama Quita's special requests. It's an unstoppable by Miss Sia. I don't know how to pronounce that child name, but she knows she did that song. Mama Quita, what does that song mean to you? Why is it so significant to you and your life and your purpose, and what else did you want our listeners to know? I love it.

Speaker 1:

That song just tells me that I can do anything that I want to do because I'm unstoppable. Do you know what a Porsche with no brakes can do? I put my armor on. Show you how strong I am. And that's important for me because I just discovered me. The pandemic was bad for a lot of people, but this season a pandemic and it has been horrible I lost loved ones, I lost my favorite aunt. It has been hard, but during that time it has also been a blessing for a lot of people and it's been a blessing for me. So I'm unstoppable. Tells me exactly that I can do anything that I put my mind to, and I don't say that lightly. I stand before you or sit before you or kneel before you as a person who has issues. I have physical issues, I have medical issues. I don't know a day without pain in 50 years, but I'm unstoppable and discovering that has been the best discovery of my life.

Speaker 2:

So I love that song I put my armor on, I'll show you that I am unstoppable. I'm a Porsche with no brakes.

Speaker 1:

I'm invincible. I win every single game, even if you can't see my win, trust me, I won, amen, amen. And with that being said, what else would you like to let our listeners know? And you guys were going to have Q&A in about five minutes so you can call in and ask Ms Queer to some questions and, you know, get some more insight on her programs and things that she has coming up but what else would you like for our listeners to know? Well, first of all, again, I want to say thank you so much for the opportunity, but I want people to know that you can do anything that you want to do.

Speaker 1:

A little bit about me. I have so many wonderful, amazing projects going on right now. I have authors, new authors. Paper V Publishing is producing books for eight new authors for the month of August, and I'm excited about that. Another thing that I'm excited about is the anthology. She said yes to herself unapologetically. Anthology and Chanel Coleman, with me, is the visionary, and Paper V Publishing is the publisher for this project, and it is a project with women who are going to show you in this Empower, her God, on how they say yes to themselves. And Jacqueline is a part of that project and I'm a part of that project. Carolyn Coleman is a part of the project, dr Audrey and Dr Velma Trivia Payne. So many people are part of this amazing project. Another project that I'm excited about is Children's Anthology.

Speaker 1:

I absolutely love young people those of you who don't know I do. I love their creativity, I love helping them realize dreams that they don't even know that they have. I'm excited that two young men, two special young men, have book projects coming out. It's Jaden Cox and, oh my goodness, he has written a beautiful story called the Honorable Bee. And then there's a father son collaboration called my Superpowers Are Not Weird, and that's little Marvis Cox Jr. And that story touches my heart because it speaks to young people who are dealing with autism, who are dealing with ADHD, who are dealing with conditions that are beyond their control. That makes them a target for other people and it's such a special book. And then there are I just finished an anthology for men as peacemakers in Duluth, minnesota. They did my failure to communicate mentoring program in their high schools and I just finished doing a book for them called Entanglement of the Entity. It's a sci-fi book and the kids came together and wrote this story and it's just really, really amazing.

Speaker 1:

So for the listeners, jacqueline, for your listeners, you can reach me if you have children and you're interested in having them write their stories. I talked to somebody and they have children. They have children. You know five children. They're various ages and I'm like, hey, get them to write their stories, because one of the things that happens is when they start to write, a mind that has been opened. Once you allow your mind to open, you can never close it again and these young people can write. Sometimes we feel a certain way and we don't want to talk about it. Once you write about it, put in a book, write about it, become a published author. You can. You can do that and make passive income. You know the Cox family got it going on. They got.

Speaker 1:

The mama got a book, the daddy got a book, multiple books, multiple books. This is a family of writers and so you can do that too. You know, message me, or you know, send me a message through payprovepublishingcom. And if you're interested, even if you're interested in the mentoring program, I'm going to start doing some things virtual, maybe once a week to bring young people together and just have some open dialogue and throw some things out and help. The goal of the mentoring program is to help parents, help their children make better choices. The world is saying we're going to snatch your babies up. We want to help you take your babies back. So if you want to reach me, you can please feel free and payprovepublishingcom and let me help you take your story from a thought to a realization, or let me help you, help you, help you help your babies make better choices. Whatever it is you need, send me a message and I can help you with it. Okay, that's why you heard her.

Speaker 1:

Now, for you guys who may have not understood, I cannot put in the chat a website because it's going to come up as a sis, but you can find her at wwwpayprovaprovipublishingcom for more information, or you can find her on Facebook as Laquita L-A-Q-U-I-T-A Parks, or you know. If you want to find her, look above the bubble. That is me, that's how you spell her name, and you could just Google her and she's going to come right up. Okay, she's going to come right up. And, with that being said, I'm going to play a song for the moms, and this one always touches me every time I hear it, and I hope that it touches you guys and really gets you to understand just how well I know. You know how much your key is mean to you, but I hope that this touches you the way that it always touches me every time I hear it.

Speaker 4:

Mommy, hold on baby. Hi, tinky, you miss me, you don't miss me. Yeah, I miss you. You do miss me. Give me kissy, thank you. I can't give you too. I love you. I am Tilly up, mom. Okay bye, okay bye. I felt something new inside.

Speaker 7:

I developed a love that was so unconditional, and I promise to give you everything that I have there's not a dream.

Speaker 4:

In this world you can't accomplish. But right, I will cross the ocean. Before I let you land, just hold on to mama's hand and never let it go.

Speaker 7:

I'll never let nobody hurt you. Give you the world, cause you deserve it.

Speaker 4:

I have to treat a woman that you know you're gonna be something great. I want for you to shine so bright. Oh, you can do anything through Christ. I see that there is a star inside of my soul. I want for you to shine so bright. I promise to give you everything that I have. There's not a dream in this world you can't accomplish. But right, I will cross the ocean before I let you land. Just hold on to mama's hand and never let it go. Just hold on to mama's hand and never let it go. Just hold on to mama's hand and never let it go. Hold on to my hand. Hold on to my hand, never let it go. Just hold on to mama's hand and never let it go. Just hold on to mama's hand and never let it go.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and that was Queen Naja with Mama's Hands. Now, before I get into Q&A, I have one more question for you, because you know I got questions, honey. Can you share any specific examples or success stories from individuals who have used your affirmations, other than me, to bring about positive change in their lives? Yes, you know, I'll share one important example. Well, all of the examples are important, but I'll share one in particular. I gave my daughter, my youngest daughter. I gave her a copy of the book and when she got it she was like, okay, oh, thank you. And then she started to read it. And so my daughter has. She'll be 29 this year and she's my baby and she has made some amazing transformations in her life. For a minute there, she gave me a run for my money. Okay, but she is.

Speaker 1:

I am so very proud of this young lady. And you can tell when people take them. It's one thing to take something somebody tells you, but then to see them apply it and see it manifest and see the transformations, it takes on a whole different feeling. And so I've seen the transformations that she's made and even though she's a beautiful girl, sometimes our girls don't know how beautiful they are because their attitudes don't radiate that. And she was on a journey of self-discovery and when she discovered that she was good enough and to love herself, when she learned how to love herself, oh baby, you can see how it radiates in the way that she has a little girl, gabby. You can see it how she has transformed and how loving and kind and gentle she is. And even my oldest daughter they have.

Speaker 1:

You know, I wanted to always be my children's role model and so I didn't want my son to go out and you know, my children to go out and pick some celebrity on television who has a made-up existence of what they want people to see, because it's TV. So I wanted to be their role model, so I modeled myself after what I wanted them to see and when they did, they just seeing. How you know the lessons that I taught them. You know you don't know how well you've done as a parent until your children become parents or until they grow up and you start watching them, just observing. So I'm in an observation position now. So my 95-year-old, before she died, she said you don't raise them already, you can't raise them, no more. So I'm in an observation period now. I observe, and when they need something, when they need some wisdom, they'll come and ask me and trust me. They do so. You know, I've seen where, you know it has helped my daughter. I've given it out to my mentees. I've even given the book out to some of my mentees' parents and just the discussions that we have from it and just the beauty of it.

Speaker 1:

So you know, and I am my own example, because I did these things, I didn't just say, hey, y'all didn't do love you. I said, I practiced these things for myself and I transformed. It changed my life, yes, and you know what I said, other than me. But it changed me too, because before I met Ms Laquita, look, let me tell you something. I've always respected and admired, you know, my elders. I've always taken into consideration and tried not to be disrespectful.

Speaker 1:

With that being said, when I was a young girl, I used to love to hear curse words. It just did something to my spirit. I was like, ooh, I got to learn how to do that. So when I finally became an adult, I was like, yes, now I can cuss and I would cuss. I was a cuss, I was a sailor, honey, and I used to always say you know, I'm this and that, but I'm going to cuss and I don't care who don't like it. I'm going to cuss. But I've learned now that you know I can read you. I can read you from Genesis to Revelation without cussing. I don't need to use a curse word to emphasize my passion about things and I may slip sometime. But you know, I could be just as passionate, I could be just as aggressive, I could be just as firm without profanity, and I've learned that through just a mentorship of Miss Laquita, because she'll just be like girl now, what you doing on the cussing. So you know I can cuss. I'm grown, you know I can cuss and you know whatever, whatever. But I do tend to watch my mouth these days about using certain words.

Speaker 1:

So I have a caller coming in and he has a question and his name is Mr Jaden Smith Cox. So, jamie, what is your question for Miss Laquita Parks? And if you guys have any questions, please look down under the bubble. You'll see a little microphone. Click on that microphone and call in. If you've got questions for Miss Laquita Parks while I got on the line, you guys Go ahead and talk, sweetheart. Hey, miss Laquita, I have two questions.

Speaker 1:

I have two questions. How long?

Speaker 2:

have you been a writer and also, do you have any children that write as well?

Speaker 1:

So good question. So I have been. I didn't call myself a writer, I call myself a bona fide note taker. So so I have been writing notes for a long time and I started. I started knowing that I enjoyed doing it about 10 years ago and when I wrote my first book. But I used to do some creative writing and I thought, ok, and I wrote poetry and I thought you know what, this is pretty good. So I found that I enjoyed writing and it became therapeutic for me. And so my children are not writers per se. They are very creative and I know they not written books, but I know that if they put their minds to it they would do some amazing work. Thank you. You're welcome.

Speaker 1:

And while I'm somebody clapping, I don't know who clapping, but thank you, whoever clapping it, don't tell me who clapping. Somebody clapped. That was a great, great answer, Laquita. And before we get into the calls, of course I got it. I wouldn't be who I am if I didn't play this next person.

Speaker 4:

I'm sad that a minute I've had since you've come my way. I hope you know I've let it go Anywhere you take me. It's all amazing to be alive. I follow you to the moon and the sky above. Ooh, I go. Got to tell you how you grow me. I'm happy as I can be. You have come and it's changed my whole world. Bye, bye, sadness, hello memory. What a wonderful day. It's all amazing to be alive. I follow you to the moon and the sky above. Ooh, my God, and it's all amazing.

Speaker 4:

I could stay forever, forever here in love and leave you live up, because we've got amazing love. Truly, it's amazing. Amazing Love brought us together. I would leave you never and never. Yes, we've got amazing love, so amazing, and I've been waiting for another. It's all amazing to be alive. I follow you to the moon and the sky above and it's all amazing to be alive. I follow you to the moon and the sky above and you're alive. It's all amazing to be alive. I follow you to the moon and the sky above. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's all amazing to be alive. I follow you to the moon and the sky above. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's all amazing to be alive.

Speaker 1:

Now y'all know I wouldn't be who I am if I didn't play Luther. I ain't played Luther all this week. And Luther came in my dream the other night and was like girl, if you don't put me on that playlist and put me in the queue, it's going to be a problem. So I had to make sure I put Luther in there with that. So amazing. And I have a special caller coming in, miss Gentry herself, who also has a show on AMP that you guys can listen to. That's called Gentry's Journey, and you have a quitter. Look, I'll say you got a quitter. Lord, have mercy. You have a question for Miss Quitter. What's your question? Well, good evening everyone. Thanks for taking my call. Listen Linda.

Speaker 1:

Miss Quitter, I don't know if I have a question. My thing is I always learn so much about you. It is so amazing.

Speaker 3:

Where does it stop? Where does?

Speaker 1:

it. Stop your program, your mentoring program. I'm like what? Where does she have the time? Where do you get the energy from? I mean, I love the fact that you're not sleeping on yourself and you're not sleeping on your ideas, you're not sleeping on your projects. You know, truly, whatever guy gives you, I know you're doing it well, I know you're doing it with excellence. So I just want to say I just commend you. You my shero, you are my shero. Oh Lord, I just don't know, you do too much. You do too much. What else do you have going on? In the words of Nene Leeds, what else is going on?

Speaker 1:

I know, I know, you know what I appreciate that, carolyn, because you know, for a long time I'll never forget. It was Mother's Day and I was still married at the time and it was. We were on the way, my husband at the time and my three children they were little, we were on our way to. My family, was big, on holidays to my aunt's house for Mother's Day, and so I never got anything from Mother's Day because my ex-husband said I wasn't on his mom, but he didn't even. You know I would repeat something for him for Father's Day, but he wouldn't get anything from Mother's Day. But I remember pulling up in her driveway and he looked at me and said he wish he had never married me because if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have beautiful children. That was a different laquita, because the laquita that I am now would not have cried, which is what I did. The laquita that I am now would not have suffered in silence. You know, I went into the house and I didn't tell anybody, couldn't talk to anybody, because you know who was I going to tell? I was more concerned about his feelings than I was mine. It was Mother's Day, supposed to be my day, but that's what I was encountering. But, baby, now I remember when I discovered myself and he was in the, he came into contact with the new me. Oh, it's been on and popping ever since. But I'm a different person and during that time I didn't know that I felt like out there was something more. But I did not know that I could do all these things when I started Pay Per View Publishing.

Speaker 1:

I probably told this story before and I started Pay Per View Publishing. I was trying to. You know, I'm new company. I've never been a publisher before. You know how you try to connect with people and they tell you, even on social media. You know, don't reinvent the wheel. Connect with people who are doing the same things that you're doing. But I'm here to tell you people don't want to share what they know Preach. They don't want to share what they know Preach. They don't want to share what they know Preach.

Speaker 1:

They don't want to share what they know, preach. I don't have people to say, hey, can you show me how to do this? Yes, I can and I'm okay with that, but people are hoarders of information. So I'll never forget asking this lady and it's like you know, can you, how do you do this, can you show me? And her response was oh, we, you know you can't. I think she had a magazine or something. I said you know, I'd like to be a part of that. Or she was like hey, you can't be a part of this. We're we're, we're we're competition. I didn't see it that way. Then there was another lady that I knew and she was doing a lot of amazing things and she had a show and she had this and I was waiting patiently. I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to be a part of her show because I wanted to show people you know who introduced myself and to connect with people. And I'm still waiting to be a part of her show. And then I and I'm like you know what, uh-uh, uh-uh, uh-uh.

Speaker 1:

When I I learned, I had people to tell me in one year um, they told me in six months I was going to be looking for a job. Well, I'll say, I'll say I am working a job, but only for the insurance, because I have medical problems and the the Obama character is not sufficient enough for me for my medical conditions. So it was necessary. And, carolyn Coleman, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me to realize that, because, carol, you remember my cry on your shoulder Because I was like I want this is K Pro V is my job. And Carolyn helped me to understand that it was necessary. Sometimes we cry about the things that we need because we don't. We don't want to give up some of the things that we want.

Speaker 1:

And so when I learned that I can do anything that I want to do, when the doctor told me in 2020 that I was not dying but I was suffering and although you are not dying, you are suffering I made the choice that if I was going to go through pain, I wouldn't go. I was going to go out fighting. I wasn't going to let it. I wasn't going to let it take me out.

Speaker 1:

So I have to tell you that I'm in pain, for you to know that I'm in pain. I'm in pain every single day. So you can assume that, hey, today she's in pain, but you won't see it by the look on my face, and it's the choice that I make. It's the choice that I make, and so all of these programs, I feel like Carolyn, and sometimes I feel like I'm just not doing enough, because I feel like God has gifted me with the ability to make a difference in the lives of other people, and that's what I want my dash to represent. So, you know, while while I do do a lot, sometimes I feel like, okay, I need to do something more, and I don't know whether it's because the whole world hadn't seen it yet.

Speaker 3:

But I appreciate.

Speaker 1:

I appreciate you for saying that and I appreciate your, your, your support. I really do, I really do, and, and, and I don't think, and, jacqueline, I, you, the people who know me, I hope you guys, just you you can get just an itty bitty iota of my sincerity and my appreciation for you. As much as you guys love me, I love you guys 10 times more. Well, I appreciate that, because you already know how much I love you, honey, and the same goes for you and the same goes for you, gentry. Look, yeah, I already know. Y'all even get rid of me, baby, I ain't going nowhere.

Speaker 1:

And yes, people are hoarders of information and you know it's unfortunate, but, just like they know it, I'll Google it and find out and do it on my own. And then, what else I'm going to do? I'm going to tell it to whoever want to know about it. Baby, that's what they can. Nobody say. Jackie is going to let you know.

Speaker 1:

Look, this was going on. Did you hear about this? You can do this. All you got to do is this hey, that ain't that hard to do. All you need is this app and I will walk you through it and show you how to get it and show you where I got it from. You know, you're like girl, I got this person off T move, or I got this person off, so I don't mind telling nobody is one thing I don't mind sharing information. I believe that whatever's going to be for me is going to be for me regardless, and whatever God got for me is going to be for me. So, and whoever is going to be for me is going to be for me. Nobody can take your blessing away from you. If that's what is meant to be for you, it's going to happen regardless. We all can win.

Speaker 1:

People have like on the outside, they have this outer thing where they say, oh yeah, we all going, but in the inside, they, they, they like mm-mm, we don't want to see us. You know, we want to see you float, but the moment we see you sailing past us, you know either we came full with you, we're going to try to sabotage it, but that's when you have to get down and you have to know. You know what. I'm going to surround myself with positivity, with encouragement, and I'm going to stay focused in the word and on the word and all the negative energy that you put in, that you put into one thing, you have to take that same energy and turn it around and make it a positive.

Speaker 1:

And I was just talking to Miss Carolyn today, mama Quidditt, and I told her I say I'm not going to stay and cry. Didn't I say that I'm not going to stay and cry? Don't stay and cry. Either you deal with that person, you accept them and you love them, you meet them where they are, you accept them and you love them and you continue to deal with those people. And it's not just well, man, I wasn't talking about a romantic relationship, I was just talking about people in general. Never stay and cry.

Speaker 1:

You know you deal with people, how you deal with them. If you choose to deal with them and if you don't want to accept that person, then you have the right. Your legs stretch and they move, even if they don't, even if you got a will it on, baby, get on and move on, even if it's just a metaphorical terminology or you know, for lack of better words, even if it's, you know, a metaphor for get up and go and move away If this person or this thing is not bringing a positive substance in your life, if it's not bringing anything of peace and of value to you. Remove yourself from it, because if you stay and cry, you can't blame nobody but yourself, because you are in control of you. Did I say something? Wrong.

Speaker 1:

Am I talking too?

Speaker 2:

long. I mean, you get to choose honey, you get to choose.

Speaker 1:

All right, you know, you and your old bubble. I'm in my own world. So if you can accept me in my world for who I am, see you later because, like Nene said, it ain't changing over here. Thank you so much, ms Carolyn, for calling in. Thank you, gentry. Oh, you're welcome.

Speaker 1:

Ms Laquita, and that advice that I gave you, I meant it. I saw you struggling with the decision and I gave you what God gave me. Okay, I gave you what God gave me and I saw where you relaxed behind that. It's all about perception and I may share two darn much, as you know what people who are, you know I'd be like oh no, let me tell you this and I see this and I, you know, you know I'd be like. I told one of my coworkers I think I gave her too much. She's a bleeding. You did that's. She won't get no more. If I have it, I'm going to share it. If it's going to benefit someone, I mean, why not? I mean, what does it cost to me? Well, I have the cost. You're more than welcome.

Speaker 1:

And, ms Laquita, is there anything else you would like the listeners to know before we close out in prayer? Well, I think you know, it's been a great show. I appreciate it. I see what you're doing. I see you and keep on growing. Keep on growing. And you know I told you a long time ago, when you start to move in a different direction, sometimes people don't like that. Sometimes the devil tries to stop it. But as long as you are doing, sometimes we have. Sometimes we start doing things and we don't consult God. We consult God after the fact.

Speaker 1:

When we are doing those things that glorify God and that's uplifting and edifying. The devil will come for us People, will come for you and it's you know. Count it all joy. The Bible says Count it all joy.

Speaker 1:

And you say that's not my anointing. Count it all joy. Count it all joy. I do want people to just know, listen, run your story, create the narrative. I want people to just know listen, run your story, create the narrative. There's so much going on in the world. They're erasing history, you know. They say my people perish. The Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge. Get some knowledge. Learn your history, create your history. Leave a legacy for your children.

Speaker 1:

Write your story because 100% of everybody, living and dead, has a story. No matter what you think, no matter who you are, somebody can heal from their story. I believe that I know that to be true and I rarely, jack, when you know me, I rarely speak about anything that I don't know about. If you hear me quiet, it's because I don't know. I'm not trying to be, I'm not trying to be better than anybody, I'm just trying to be liquid. And if I don't know, if I can't find the answer, I'm going to tell you I don't know, but I'm making. Find somebody who can help us love. So write your story. Write your story because you know what? There are 8 billion people on the planet. 1% of those 8 billion people will take the time to write their story. That means they'll take, they'll put pen to paper, dictate type, whatever. They will get their story out. But only half of that, that 1% of that 8 billion, will take the time to complete the thought, and completing the thought means to actually publish their story.

Speaker 1:

There are publishers all over the world. There are some on it. Look, it's just like McDonald's and Burger King is one on every corner. Find one that you can connect with. If there's anything I can do to help you, reach out to me. I can help you. If I can't help you, there is someone who will. Now, there are some things that I won't publish. There are some people that don't want to work with me, and that's okay, because there are some people I don't want to work with either. So you get to choose who you want to work with and, as the publishers make it, to choose as well. But don't let that stop you from telling your story. If you don't, if you can't find somebody to tell your story the way you want it, then create your own platform.

Speaker 1:

I did it, jacqueline did it, carolyn did it, everybody did it. You can do it too. So be who you are. And with that, ms Jacqueline, I would say it's been a plump pleasing pleasure. Better than a triple-decapita butting and jelly sandwich. That's my story and I'm sticking to it, and she's sticking to it. You guys.

Speaker 1:

Now I'm going to close out in prayer and then I'm going to play a special song. So let's get to the prayer and, as we come to the end of this episode of Liston Linda, let's take a moment to reflect and offer a closing prayer. Heavenly Father, god, we are so very grateful for the wisdom and inspiration shared by Ms Laquita Parks today. Her story has reminded us of the importance of self-love, resilience and the power of embracing our own beauty. May we carry the lessons learned from this conversation into our daily lives, striving to love ourselves unconditionally and to stand at love to others. May we be reminded that we are all unique and valuable, deserving of love, kindness and acceptance.

Speaker 1:

We pray that the message of Liston Linda and the story shared on this platform continue to touch the lives of those who need it most. May this show be a source of hope, encouragement and empowerment for all those. Father God, who tune in. And as we part ways, let us remember to be gentle with ourselves and others, to embrace our flaws and imperfections and to always see growth and self-discovery. May we walk our journeys with grace, compassion and a renewed sense of self-work. In gratitude, and with open hearts, we bid farewell until our paths cross again. On the next episode of Liston Linda, I will have Ms Anita Nussin, and that will be tomorrow. You guys so tune in, have a wonderful night, and I'm going to close out with Ms Laquita Park's debut song, ouch Lives Hurt. You guys have a good night and God bless. Thank you, you're welcome.

Speaker 5:

From the moment that I wake up until I lay my head.

Speaker 4:

Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God, cause all my life you have been faithful and all my life you have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. I love your voice. You have led me through the fire in darkest night. You are close like no other. I've known you as a father, I've known you as a friend, and I have lived in the goodness of God, cause all my life you have been faithful and all my life you have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, oh, I will sing of the goodness of God. Your goodness is running after, is running after me. Your goodness is running after, is running after me, cause all my life lay down, I surrender now, I give you everything. Oh Lord, your goodness is running after, is running after me.
