Speaker 4:

Thank you so much, Jacqueline, for the opportunity to be a guest on Miss and Linda.

Speaker 1:

I'm excited Girl, you should be, because you know one thing about me I am the queen of questions and I have read your book through and through, beige, from cover to cover. I got questions. I'm a queen and I got questions. But before we get into your book, I want to kind of zone in a little bit more about you. Okay, I don't want to. I'm not the usual host to be like. Oh yeah, just add an audience who you are and about yourself and what you do. No, no, no, I researched you, okay. So the first question is can you tell, can you share with us your journey of how you turn fear, uncertainty, procrastination and insufficient resources into stepping stones for your success?

Speaker 4:

That's an excellent question. The first thing was I had to do some self assessment because I've always known, since I was a little girl, that God had a, you know, a great purpose for my life. And so, from being a young girl into, you know, going to adulthood, I always knew that I was a leader, so, and I was always shy, okay. So a lot of times I wanted to do things but I wouldn't do it because I was always shy and, you know, kind of quiet. But I knew that God had birthed so many different gifts inside of me. So I had to just start walking by faith, just doing the things that I felt the urge to do.

Speaker 4:

You know, after I've prayed, after I've, you know, got through you know the fear, I had to start stepping one step after the other and start accomplishing some of the goals that I had put on the wayside for so many years. You know, it's really just a faith journey and just, you know, despite the fear, despite the procrastination, pushing through to do what I know I'm called to do, because you feel it when you wake up in the morning, when you feel all these different things you're supposed to do, but you know it's like, oh no, I'm not going to do it, I'm going to wait for later. My life had just become a psycho or procrastination. I kept putting things off. But as I was getting older, my hair was getting grayer and I was saying you know what? I'm not going to live on this life and not accomplish the things that God has placed in my life and you know the things that he wants me to do. So I had to start doing it, despite the fear, despite the procrastination, just moving forward step by step, day by day.

Speaker 1:

That's an excellent answer. And you know what I tell people that all the time later may never come. We are not promised later here on earth. I don't even understand how that word got into the dictionary. We are not promised later on earth. We are promised eternal life in heaven with God the Father, if we do as he say, do and follow his will. But later is never promised. So I don't believe in later, I believe in right now. Of course we can tell God our plans, we can write them down, we can make Cala does book events and all that stuff. But that stuff is only the things that we ask God for and pray that God sees us through those things. But give God your plans and watch him laugh. He has a very funny sense of humor. So I really appreciate that answer. Now, as the CEO and founder of is it Cuisar Cuisar Detroit Publishing LLC, what inspired you to start your own publishing company and how do you help authors achieve their goals?

Speaker 4:

So what inspired me to create my own publishing company is the fact that I wanted to write a book. I've always known that I wanted to write a book and when? You know, since I was a little girl, I knew that I wanted to write a book. But you know, I would always love English and I just love writing. And so as I got older, I started to write a book, probably in my late 20s but I just kept putting it off because I kept kind of questioning was this good enough? I've always been a writer but you know, when you're writing a book, you want to, you know, have make sure it's significant and it's going to be able to help somebody. So I just kept putting it off. I started about, I would say, about six years ago. I started the journey of writing my book and I started with a blog and I took in my blog. I talked about procrastination because it was one of the big things that I dealt with. So I started talking about procrastination and I ended up turning that book that I'm blog into my first book, which was caught. Everything they won't tell you about procrastination. So in writing that book I will look. The big picture is I was trying to write a book about success and in writing that book about success, I did a success study and that study I found that 43% of the people said that procrastination was an issue for them as well. And so, because it was taking me a long time to write this book, because I was doing a success study, I took, I pulled out the information about procrastination and that's when I wrote my first book, you know, being inspired from my blog, and I started sharing my journey on social media and people started asking me questions about publishing and so I started sharing my journey and then that's how I came up with, you know, creating my own publishing company. And when I I was looking, I was up late one night and I saw something on Facebook and it was someone talking about you have a story to tell. Because, like I said, I had started writing my book and I put it off.

Speaker 4:

And I contacted that young lady. Her name was Stephanie Rodness. I contacted her. She had a writer's academy and she, you know, taught people how to write a book. And she was like Well, how are you going to publish your book? You're going to go to traditional route or self publishing? And I'm like, well, self publishing because I did research and I knew that if you were to self publish your book, you have more control over what you do with your content. So I started the self publishing route. I started sharing my story, my journey online, and people started asking me questions. And so, as people started asking me questions, I started sharing and then that's how I, you know, end up creating establishing a publishing company Just sharing my journey Throughout the right.

Speaker 1:

Wow, that is amazing. That is amazing. Could you tell us more about your experience as a certified life and professional coach like how do you empower professionals to push past self sabotage and behaviors and excel in their personal and business lives?

Speaker 4:

Sure. So even in the publishing process I incorporate all of that, the certified life coaching. I incorporate all of that and so basically what I do is get people out of their own way, because I know so much about procrastinating and you know all these things that stop us from achieving goals in our life. So I incorporate all of that and I became a certified life coach during the pandemic, the beginning of the pandemic. At that time I was laid off. I am still working in corporate America as an insurance agent as I build my business.

Speaker 4:

So during that time I was furloughed and so you know me, I'm always trying to learn new things.

Speaker 4:

So at that time and opportunity was brought up for life coaching and I've always wanted to do that. So I joined and I, you know, to the class, became a certified life coach, and so I incorporate life coaching in the publishing process because, like I said, stumbling blocks stop us, you know, from achieving the goals that we want to achieve as authors and in life. So I incorporate all of that into, you know, the publishing process and also on the side, I'm speaking and I do workshops to help motivate professional women who are stuck, who feel stuck in corporate America, because you know that there's so much more for you and life. So I take the steps that I've learned to push myself into purpose and help other women to. You know, get out of the way from all of that. You know stumbling blocks to stop them from achieving goals, whether it's being a published author or, you know, just achieving entrepreneurship. So you know, depending on what the situation is, you know I use my skills to help them go to that next level. It's like you're looking through a telescope.

Speaker 2:

You see where you're gonna be Growing, getting better. You're not the person they see. Can't be mad at the things you've been through, cause they built your muscle. Now you're stronger than you've ever been. They can't stop your hate. Your faith ain't never small. That's what brought you this far. See, you got your dreams and you got your prayers and you got your God. He gon' take you home. See, everybody has a season, and I believe this one's yours, cause you've been working, waiting this, what you've been paying for. Go get it. Go get it. Go get it. Go get your blessings. Go get it. Go get it. Go get it. It's your time. It's your time. It's your time. You were made to live a good life and that's what I believe.

Speaker 2:

So hit the floor, say a prayer, start working. You gotta do something. It's alright to crawl before you walk, it's alright to walk before you run, but if you wanna get what you never got, gotta do something that you never stop. Go get it. Go get it. Go get it. Go get your blessings. Go get it. Go get it. Go get it. Go get your blessings. It's your time. It's your time. You've been qualified For this mercy multiply. You cannot be denied, cause you're fully certified, it's official. Go ahead and testify. He's gonna bless you, you're gonna bless him. Oh God be glorified. Go get it, go get it, go get it, go get your blessings. Go get it, go get it. Go get it. Go get your blessings. It's your time. Match them our time. It is your time. Good, good, good, good, good, get that. Blessings. Go get it, go get it, go get it, go get your blessings. It is your time. Match them our time. It is your time. And now I look at it, I go get it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yes, go get it by Mary Mary. Tell me what those lyrics mean to you and how do they relate to your book success skyrocket. Your success 2.0.

Speaker 4:

So you know I love Mary, mary, and they always have a right now message for what you're going through. So it basically says get out of your own way and go get what you've been praying for, waiting on it just not. It's just not going to just come to you. You have to go out and get it. Faith without words is dead. You have to get yourself first of all. One of the things I talk about in the book is getting having a um, building a champion mindset.

Speaker 4:

So so many things are going to stop you whenever you have a go to accomplish. They're going to be so many stomach blocks. You have to push past those stomach blocks, build your emotional intelligence and do what you're called to do, because they're going to be doubts at every stage. We can't let those doubts stop us from doing the purposeful things that God has called us to do. We have to push all of those things out of the way and those things are heavy like um.

Speaker 4:

You know depression. You know we deal with, you know different levels of depression and some things in our life, because we may not, we may not be what we want to be in life and we are creating walls. We're creating our own walls. Due to self-sabotaging behaviors like those, procrastination and things like that it stops us. We start building up invisible walls that we can't see. But there are spiritual strongholds that stop us from doing the things, and sometimes we're in our own head. We have to push past all of those things to get to what we, um are called to do in life, and so it's just like pushing past all those things and go out and get and do the things that you're called to do.

Speaker 4:

So that song is. It means so much to people that are trying to build businesses or trying to just do whatever you're called to do in life, if it's writing a book or if it's creating a nonprofit, whatever you're called to do. We have to get out of our own way and start doing the things you know through faith, even though you know, because we can't do it on our own, we have to ask god for help, because you can't do, you can't build um a kingdom on your own. You need to have people to partner with and collaborate with to go to the next level amazing answer and I second everything that.

Speaker 1:

Uh, miss char just said you have to go get your blessing. God already promised it to you. But, like char said, faith without works is dead. There is no reason to have faith if you're not going to sow the seed. How do you expect it to grow, how do you expect to reap the harvest if you don't even sow the seeds to reap? So I I truly, truly, I truly appreciate that answer. Um, being a graduate of les browns power voice system for speakers and coaches, how has this program influenced your speaking and coaching style?

Speaker 4:

wow, so you did some real research. Huh, so, um, it inspired me to you know, make sure that you are not you're. You're telling a story, you're sharing your wisdom through storytelling. Um, it's sharing your experiences and how you've overcome those experiences, because so many people can relate to a story than just saying, okay, go out and do this. You have to tell them about situations that you had to overcome instead of say, okay, you can just do it.

Speaker 4:

You have to be very, um, creative and you have to be very lively and you have to explain certain situations, because people can relate to, you know, things that we go through, because we are, we're all human and we go through certain situations. So you have to make sure that you're you know telling a story, you know making it vivid, so people can understand what you're going through and they can relate better when they can see themselves in that same situation that you're in. So that, uh, course that I took the coaching program that I was in. It was, um, very important that I took that because you know, one of the best Les Brown is one of the best storytellers that we know and we all know he is, maybe, maybe, brown baby boy. He tells the same story just in different ways, and so we have to be creative with our story and share our life lessons so we can help change the lives of others.

Speaker 1:

Yes, les Brown, he, he is the real deal as far as storytelling and speaking and and motivational speaking like he is that guy for that. So once I sign up, I'm like, oh, she took Les Brown, of course. Go ahead, girl. Um, so you have also been featured on various platforms, such as Amazon Fire TV, apple TV, roku and Speakers Magazine. How have these opportunities impacted your career and what advice do you have for aspiring speakers and authors?

Speaker 4:

So being able to be featured in those different media opportunities, it helped me to be seen on a broader stage than my own.

Speaker 4:

It helped me to meet new people and collaborate collaborate with new people so that I can share the message that God gave me to help change the lives of others.

Speaker 4:

So just being able to be visible it helped to increase my visibility so that I am able to help people outside of my own area, outside of my local area, because the message that I have is a national message. Because there are so many women that are in corporate America that feel stuck because they're our gifts that God has given us and we are, like I say, hypnotized by our nine to five in our everyday life. Sometimes we are, we won't get out of our own way and pursue the things that God gives us to pursue, because sometimes you wake up and you feel like you're supposed to be doing more than what you're doing. When you have that feeling, you are supposed to be doing more and so being able to be visible on other stages, you know, just helps to spread the message you know, locally and nationally and abroad, so that I can share this message and encourage women to get out of that feeling of stuck and do the things that they're called to do eyes haven't seen and ears haven't heard.

Speaker 4:

The kind of blessings, the kind of blessings that's about to fall because victory is here.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, get the feet out the door. God's doing a new thing. Yeah, get ready for all the flow, because I'm getting ready something I've never seen.

Speaker 2:

Crap was going on in your life. Say I'm getting ready to see, oh, oh, something I've never seen. Say I'm getting ready something I've never seen. Say it again I'm getting ready, something I've never seen, something I've never seen. Say I haven't seen. Come on. Say and ears haven't heard what? The kind of blessing, yeah, the kind of blessing that's about to fall on me. Say victory is here. Victory is here. It kicked the feet out the door. God's doing a new thing. Get ready, get ready for all the flow. Now throw your hands up. Say I'm getting ready, I'm getting ready to see, oh, oh, something I've never seen. I'm getting ready. God's about to blow my mind. It's something I've never seen. Say I'm getting ready, I'm getting ready something I've never seen. It's bigger than I can imagine.

Speaker 6:

I'm getting ready to see, oh, something I've never seen yeah, yeah, beach house vibes maneuvered to jet ski because I serve a god that parted the red seat. Multi-million dollar commercials for Pepsi, from food stamps to more ice than Gretzky, I don't gotta talk. The Lord defends me. I watched a more thoughtful cone against me because me and all my angels shot the devil up while you was trying to pull me down and I leveled up. I leveled up twice, I leveled up three times. He tapped them and told them she's mine. So even when I cried I knew I'd be fine, prepared for a miracle blessing. In these times. I praise them, raise them, I name it, claim it. Every turn their eyes is up against me, shaming. I breathe success and out my lungs I got the power, life and death coming out my arm. You gotta move a little bit with that. Say oh. Say it again.

Speaker 2:

Say oh it's about to be revealed to you. Oh, oh, I get ready, I get ready. What are you trying for? Ready for overflow? Said I get ready, I get ready, I get ready. Right in my own floor, ready for overflow. It's the thought of the running over in my life. Yeah, I get ready. Ready for overflow, ready for overflow? Oh, I'm ready. Oh, I'm ready. Are you ready for overflow? Ready for overflow? Say yes or no. Yes, I'm ready. Right in my own floor. Ready for overflow. Say ready for overflow. Ready for overflow.

Speaker 2:

You want to be coming up in your family? Say ready for overflow. Ready for overflow, so clear it over your finances. Say ready for overflow. Ready for overflow? He isn't somebody. I'm ready, ready for overflow.

Speaker 2:

I'm in the right position. I'm ready. Ready for overflow. I'm gonna stay here at your feet Cause I'm ready. Ready for overflow. I'm ready. Ready for overflow? Oh, yes, I'm ready. Ready for overflow, I'm gonna get out of here. Ready for overflow? Oh, yes, I'm ready. Ready for overflow, cause you get your money. Ready for overflow, cause you get your money. Ready for overflow? Say I'm ready. Ready for overflow, ready for overflow? Say I'm ready. Ready for overflow, ready for overflow? Say I'm ready. Yes, I'm ready, cause I'm just a pro-mime. I'm just a pro-mime. Oh, I've had the seed. It's heaven. The kind of blessing, the kind of blessing that's about to come on me. Oh, the victory is here. It's hit the beat at the door. God's doing a new thing, a brand new thing. I'm ready for overflow. God's doing a new thing. Get ready for overflow. Yeah, I'm talking to you. I'm talking to you. God's doing a new thing. Get ready for overflow. You've been waiting.

Speaker 4:

You've been praying, you've been pressing, you've been fasting. God's doing a new thing.

Speaker 2:

Get ready for overflow. I'm getting ready to see Something I've never seen. I'm getting ready to see Something I've never seen.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, jesus. I'm getting ready to see. I'm getting ready. Tasha Cobbs, nicki Minaj. Now, y'all know when I'm out, tasha, I'm not going to stop that woman from her praise. I got to play it all the way through. Tell me, shia, what do you think about that song? How does those lyrics intertwine with the message that you're trying to deliver today? That song, when I hear it, it just ministers to me.

Speaker 4:

You know, and I got all of my feelings Because that song is so anointed, because I'm not going to stop that woman, because we pray to God to open up doors of opportunity for us, and sometimes we're not ready, we just keep praying oh, I'm praying, I'm praying, I'm praying. But are you ready For the door that God's going to open? It's going to take you to that next level Because he's going to blow our minds. You know, once we get into the position that he wants us to be and yield to the calling that he has on our life, he is going to blow our minds, but a lot of us aren't prepared for it. So this down time, when you feel like you're overlooked and you feel like you've been putting in the work and nobody's seeing it, or you know you wrote this book and you got this great message and you're going on all these stages and people are not purchasing your book. They just give you a hand clap, but you keep pressing through all of that and doing what God has told you to do. He's going to open up those opportunities and you have to be ready to go to that next level. So it's just, that's not really ministers to me Because our eyes have not seen and our ears have not heard what God has planned for us. When we step into our purpose, he's going to take us to that next level and he's going to blow our minds Because there's going to be so much, you know, success.

Speaker 4:

A lot of times we are working in the background and we just all of a sudden just show up and people say who was that person? You don't know that person's story and what they've been going through for so many years. But when you are yielding to what God has for you and you're walking the path that he has set for you and you're doing what he wants you to do and you're accomplishing the goals that God has set for you to accomplish, he's going to take you to that next level and he's going to blow your mind. So we have to prepare ourselves for that. So this down time when you know it's like you are A hidden jewel and you're working in the background, keep on working, because God has not forgotten about you.

Speaker 4:

This song is a song of encouragement To keep working. Keep doing what you're supposed to do and God's going to open up that door and take you to the next level. Don't depend on people. Depend on God, and a lot of times we are depending on people To skyrocket our success. But no, if you are a child of God and following what God wants you to do, he's going to be the one to take you to the next level. We don't have to depend on people. So keep working, keep doing the thing that God wants you to do, and he's going to take you to that next level.

Speaker 1:

Such a powerful message from such a powerful, powerful, powerful woman of God. Amen, amen to that. We have to know that the blessing is not in people. The blessing is not in validation. God is all the validation that we need, and I just had to learn that recently. I was also one that was always.

Speaker 1:

I do what I do in the front, on the forefront, but it's a lot of things in the background that I do that people don't see, and I felt I needed to prove it, or they have to say something, because how are you just going to sit up here and have me do all these things and then don't give me the credit? But my help and my credit don't come from people, it comes from God, and I just had to stay focused on what the mission was and what God wanted me to do, even though I felt I was being overlooked and undervalued. But my value don't come from man, it comes from God, and I had to. I already knew that, but I had to realign my focus and what it is that I was put here to do, and whether people applauded that or even knew about it was not my concern as long as God knows, and I know there's all the validation I need so great, great, great answer to that question.

Speaker 1:

I wanted to dig a little bit more and to not just 2.0, but other things.

Speaker 1:

First, because I still want the listeners to get to know you, because I feel like people can you know, we can be motivational speakers, we can have these books, but unless people know who we truly are and the darkness that we had to get to In order to get to our light, they just wave us off.

Speaker 1:

But people are more compassionate and want to know more and are intends to buy into you and what your message is if they know more about you. So that's why I try to highlight you and who you are and where you came from, opposed to just your book. Just, this is not that type of platform, because this is a platform of getting to know and truly, truly respecting and appreciating each guest. That's why I do my research and I actually read the books, because I want you guys to understand that I respect you. I respect what you've been through, your journey, but also your career and your path to greatness and your craft. So, as a member of the Black Speakers Network and the Non-Fiction Authors Association, how have these communities Supporting you and your professional journey, and what benefits have you gained From being a part of these organizations?

Speaker 4:

Great question. So Black Speakers Network and the Nonfiction Authors Association those organizations I've learned so much. They have so many speakers weekly. It's just like an educational foundation that just helps take you to the next level.

Speaker 4:

With the Black Speakers Network, I've learned so much from their programs and conferences that they have, that they host and they also provide speaking engagements that if you are interested as a speaker, it's a good foundation for authors or coaches to join the Black Speakers Network.

Speaker 4:

There's a free and then there's a premium one where they send out speaking engagements to you so that you can apply for different speaking engagements. So it's very helpful in a journey because it just tells you everything about the speaking business and they just share so many things to help you again get out your way and just educate you about being a speaker, an educated, paid speaker, because we can just say that I'm a speaker but we want to get paid speaking engagements. So these organizations help build the foundation so that you can go and monetize your genius through speaking. So the Nonfiction Authors Association was a membership that I joined, because I joined the books that I write are nonfiction and so joining this organization they provide so many resources, so many courses, so much information I am. Sometimes I say that I'm information hoarder, but I'm trying to be better about implementing the things that I learn. But these organizations provide so many resources to speakers and authors, so I'm glad that I'm a member of those associations. They've been very helpful throughout my journey.

Speaker 1:

As am I, because you know what you guys I credit Char and Dr Velma. I met Char through Dr Velma on Facebook and she ended up doing a challenge. Correct me if I'm wrong, but she ended up doing a challenge, for it was a world record challenge for the Ruby Bridges Foundation, and she posted it and I saw it, and I posted it and I ended up into a network of just phenomenal women. So thank you for that too, because I wanted to make sure that I highlighted that, that if she had never posted, I would never saw it, and that's how I became a part of that. So thank you so much for that. Now can you share? Go ahead, go ahead, sweetheart.

Speaker 4:

I was just going to say no problem.

Speaker 1:

Girl. Yeah, so she is not an information hoarder no more, because she put it out there because people wasn't even saying what it was about. But she made sure she highlighted, like what it was about, what this meant and what you can gain from it, and just the history behind it. So I thank you so much for that, thank you, thank you so much for that.

Speaker 1:

It just put me in a network of people of really, really beautiful black women, and I just appreciate you for that. Now in your book Skyrocket Just Success 10 keys to refocus, reposition and reclaim your purpose. What are some of the key strategies you share in that book to help individuals refocus and reclaim their purpose?

Speaker 4:

Excellent question. So Okay, so this is Okay. So I have a two book series. So far I'm trying to get the idea for the third, skyrocket your Success book. But Skyrocket your Success the first one 10 keys to refocus, reposition, reclaim your purpose. The purpose of this book was to help people that feel stuck, give them 10 tips to help them get out of their way so they can start moving forward in the right way, you know, when it comes to their dreams. So one of the things that I talk about is the first key is to pray and ask God to identify your purpose.

Speaker 4:

Sometimes in life we change and we grow, and sometimes we have to reassess where we are and ask God again, like Because we, you know, at different seasons our purpose can change just to make sure we know exactly where we are. So the first thing is to ask God to you know, reconfirm what your purpose is, because it may be different than it was when you were in your 20s, maybe your 30 or 40 now. So your purpose may be different and it evolves as we grow. And another thing is don't share your dream with everyone. Everyone is not going to be able to handle where God is taking you, so you have to make sure that when you are sometimes we have dreams that we share with family members they say, oh no, you shouldn't do that, you should do this. And a lot of times we listen to our family and friends and say, well, yeah, maybe I shouldn't do that, but God has given you this God, this vision and this dream for you to accomplish.

Speaker 4:

And sometimes naysayers will stop you from accomplishing the goals that God told you to, because you're listening to someone else and not listening to the one that we need to listen to. And you have to surround yourself with positive people, positive friends and associates. And, you know, sometimes you have to get away from those people that are naysayers and put yourself in alignment with people that are speaking life into your situation, but because, again, you know you may be dealing with, you know trying to overcome some of these self-sabotaging behaviors. So you have to put yourself around positive people. That's going to lead you in the right direction and to help you affirm who you are and to encourage you to do the thing that you're called to do. And just another very important thing is that know that your journey is as unique as you are.

Speaker 4:

Stop comparing your journey to someone else's, because your journey is for you, specifically for you, and it's not someone else's goals and dreams. This is your journey. It's going to be unique. So you have to stop comparing your life to other people, because sometimes you're comparing yourself to someone there the finish line and you're in the beginning stages and we're all going to have a different journey.

Speaker 4:

So make sure that you're focusing on where you need to be, because if you focus on where you need to be, that's going to accelerate your success, instead of going to be all over the place because you're trying to compete with this person secretly. They don't know, but you're watching them and trying to compete with them. So make sure that you keep your eyes on your own paper, because when you do that, it'll keep you focused so that you can achieve the goals that you are set to achieve. And then, when you go through this process, make sure that you celebrate your victory at every stage, because you know, like, if you're a procrastinator, if you accomplish a goal, celebrate that goal. Maybe it's going to your favorite restaurant, getting you up there, shoes, whatever, something simple. Make sure you celebrate, because when you celebrate that journey, you solidify that you are following the goals. That God is. You know putting your life and you're doing the thing. You're moving forward, so you need to celebrate any forward movement.

Speaker 5:

When Jesus says nobody can say no, I'm not worried about a thing, because I know you are guiding me. Where you leave me, lord, I will go. I have no fear because I know who's in control. There's no limit to what you can do, because it all belongs to you. Yes, it all belongs to you. Now, roshna, you're almighty and all powerful and it all belongs to you. Yes, it all belongs to you.

Speaker 5:

When Jesus says nobody can say no, when Jesus says nobody can say no, when Jesus says nobody can say no, nobody's, cuz he's in control. There's no limit to what you can do, cuz it all belongs to you. Yes, it all belongs to you. No Russian, no, you're all mighty. No power fall. End it all. End it all. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. No limit to what you can do, cuz it all belongs to you. Yes, it all belongs to you. No Russian. No, you're all mighty. No power fall. End it all. It all belongs to you. Yes, it all belongs to you. End it all. End it all. End it all. End it all. End it all. End it all. End it all, end it all. When Jesus says Nobody can say no. When Jesus says Nobody can say no. When Jesus says Nobody can say no. When Jesus says Nobody can say no. When Jesus says Nobody can say no. When Jesus says Nobody can say Nobody can say no.

Speaker 2:

When Jesus says Nobody can say no. You know, he's with me, he's with me.

Speaker 1:

Yes. When Jesus say yes, nobody can say no. Now we just spoke on that briefly, sharpa, tell me, how does that song resonate with your message?

Speaker 4:

Wow.

Speaker 4:

So it's. You know. All the songs that you have selected just flow right with the message that we are talking about today, because God has to find a word. He is the one that says yes to you. Once he says yes, you have a green light, move forward. There are going to be naysayers that come and say no, but it doesn't count, it does not count. So we have to be encouraged to know when God gives us that green light to go Move forward.

Speaker 4:

It's not saying that you're not going to have difficulty. It's not saying that you're going to. You know, still, you may still deal with some procrastination. I think most people deal with some procrastination because sometimes we're trying to figure out what way should we go. But keep moving forward. Like I said, any step moving in the right direction is going to get you to that next step and we are just blindly following other people, looking for them to tell us yes or no. You know, sometimes that puts us back and it causes delay.

Speaker 4:

We have to build our own table based upon what God gives us, the gifts that he gives us. When we start branching out and building our own table based upon what God tells us, we don't have to worry about someone else saying no, because you're not looking to someone else to help you move forward. You're depending on God and you're trusting in the faith that you have and you're moving forward. And when you start moving, all the things are going to come into place.

Speaker 4:

When you start moving forward because, like when I said I wanted to write my first book, I knew how to write because I've been writing all my life. I was, you know, a part of the school newspaper, went to school study communications in Michigan State. I knew how to write. That wasn't the problem. I just didn't know the process to get published. But once you start moving and doing the thing that you're supposed to do, everything's going to fall into place. God's going to give you people. That's going to help you get to the next level. When I say don't depend on people, I'm not saying people are not going to help you, but I'm saying don't look to people to determine if you can do this or not. Do what you're called to do, but people will collaborate with you and you'll work together in order to make your dream a reality.

Speaker 1:

Great, great bombshell of gems that Mrs I'm going to call her Dr Shah is preaching up and here today. Okay, we're going to come up with this. Okay, because she coming with it today, baby. Okay, so I'm going to get into the book Skyrocketing your success 2.0. In the book, it mentions redefining the definition of success unapologetically. How can women break free from societal expectations and create their own definition of success as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey?

Speaker 4:

Excellent question. So the first step to do that is you have to know what your goals are. Once you know what your goals are, you have to put yourself in. You have to shift your mindset and put yourself in the place, in the mind frame of winning, and being clear about what you want is going to help you move forward. And again, like we've been talking about checking your circle, getting the naysayers out of the way, and you have to make sure that you are creating an environment of achievement right. So getting into the right places and people always say you should not be the smartest person in the room. You should connect with people that know more than you, so it'll take you to the next level. But, defining your success, you need to sit down and think about what you really want. What do you really want in life?

Speaker 4:

And one exercise I did years ago in the beginning of my entrepreneurship journey, I had a. I was in this coaching program. They said imagine what your perfect day will look like when you sit down and put that in writing. It helps you to redefine what success looks like for you. Does success mean that you have more freedom to do what you want to do? You can have freedom from a nine to five and you can plan your day exactly how you want it to what is important to you.

Speaker 4:

You have to find out and write down what's important to you so you can create and redefine your definition of success based upon what you need in life and what's important to you, because your definition of success is personal. Okay, somebody may define success as being able to make a lot of money. Somebody may define success is having a freedom to travel. You know, you know whenever they want to do it, not having to ask for permission to do things. So we have to create the environment. Imagine, write it down and create the environment and create the thing that we want the most. And we have to shine light on the things that we do well and sit down and think about what's important to you and that will help you create your definition of success.

Speaker 1:

Phenomenal answer. Phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal answer. And developing a champion entrepreneur mindset is crucial for success. What are some practical strategies or exercises, other than the one that you just mentioned, that can help professional women boost their emotional intelligence, their confidence and cultivate the mindset of a successful entrepreneur?

Speaker 4:

Great question.

Speaker 4:

So, some of the things that we need to do in order to create that mindset is to, you know, other than just re. We have to reframe our thinking. We have to because a lot of times we develop negative thinking because we're scared. We have to, day by day, do exercises to enhance our thinking. Just like we exercise when we're trying to lose weight, we have to do exercises in our mind by saying positive affirmations. You know, reading scriptures and knowing who you are and what you are capable of. You know, a lot of times we accomplish these goals and you know it's nothing to us because we do it every day.

Speaker 4:

But sit down and start thinking about the things that you've accomplished.

Speaker 4:

When you sit down and you think of the things that you've accomplished and you write those out, writing is, you know, putting in writing is so important and making your workspace a reflection of the accomplishments that you have achieved helps your mindset.

Speaker 4:

Because if you see like, if you have, like the last five years, think about some of the things that you've achieved, right, if you sit down and, you know, write those things out. And another thing that I do, I created a I'm trying to think of the name of those. It's pictures behind me of some achievements that I've had, and so sometimes when I'm feeling down or feeling like you know what was me, I start looking around at some of the things that I've accomplished, and that helps you to build your mindset, know exactly what you can do and what you need to do and keep learning, because that helps also to build your champion mindset. Learning and getting coaching from someone that's already accomplished the things that you've accomplished. Coaching has been so helpful for me mentorship from those that already accomplished the goals that I want to accomplish. So getting those people in your space, the ones that have achieved things that you want to achieve, and start honoring your achievements and giving yourself credit for some of the things that you've done, that will help build a champion mindset.

Speaker 2:

I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside and give them a sense of pride. To make it easier, let the children laugh.

Speaker 2:

Let everyone know how we used to be. Everybody's searching for you. Yeah, it's a lonely place to be, so I learned to depend on me. If I fail, if I succeed at least all of this, I believe Because the greatest love of all is happening to me. Thank you, love. I found the greatest love of all inside of me, the greatest love of all. It is easy to achieve Learning to love you, the greatest love of all. That's why I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside and give them a sense of pride. To make it easier, let the children laugh, let everyone know how we used to be.

Speaker 2:

I decided long ago never to walk in anyone's shoes. If I fail, if I succeed, at least I will win, as I believe. No matter what they take from me, they can't take away my dignity, because the greatest love of all is happening to me, to me, to me. I found the greatest love of all inside of me, the greatest love of all it is. It is Since I was there. So easy Learning, learning to love yourself Is the greatest, the greatest love of all, and you find a chance. That's special place Learning you've been dreaming of Should leave you to alone. Let grace just find, find your, find your, your strength For me.

Speaker 1:

Yes, greatest love of all. Come on, Sharpe, tell me what you think.

Speaker 4:

I love that song. You know in the beginning of the song how she says I believe the children are a future teaching well and let them lead the way we must. It just makes me think of mentorship, how we must when we've achieved success, we must reach back and pull someone else up, and I was thinking about, a couple of years ago, when I first started the publishing, one of my customers, because I've had a very interesting background. I've taught in schools as a substitute teacher for two years Southfield Public Schools and so I love children and I've taught for a couple of years. And then what I do with publishing, I teach as well but someone that was one of my former customers. I've been an insurance for over 23 years and I taught. I've been in real estate. So one of my real estate customers saw me on. She, I guess, saw me something on Facebook or Instagram and asked me to come talk to her children because they wanted to be authors. So I created a young authors workshop and I was able to share, you know, knowledge with students or whatever, because they wanted to learn about the publishing business.

Speaker 4:

Just, you know giving back to, you know, children and you know helping them to achieve some of their goals. So when we achieve success in life we should always reach back and help others. That love that you show them. You never know how that's going to affect them. You know as they grow up, because you never know. You know sometimes when we think about think back. You know when we were growing up, someone that came to our school. You know, on career day or something, you just say one thing. You can plant a seed that will help change the lives of someone. You know, change the lives of others. So it means you know loving what you do and giving back to help someone else achieve their goals and dreams.

Speaker 1:

Phenomenal answer. Phenomenal because when we love ourselves, that's the only way we can reach the true pinnacle of success. You cannot not believe in yourself, not love yourself, not give yourself the full attention that it deserves, and just give everything to everyone all the time and pour out until you're empty. You will never be successful that way. So I appreciate that answer. It was a great answer. Setting clear goals and creating a recession proof plan are essential elements. Could you share some tips or insights on how professional women can effectively set clear goals and develop a strategic roadmap to navigate from employee to entrepreneurship?

Speaker 4:

Sure. So the best way that I would say is what is your end goal? So that's being clear on what you want to do. What is the end goal? And so find out what your end goal is. The easiest way to find out what your end goal is and do reverse engineering Go back to the beginning. So figure out what you want to do, what is your number one goal, what is the thing that you want to accomplish? And then kind of go back to the beginning.

Speaker 4:

So what I did in my book I created a four step process to help someone to navigate from employee to entrepreneur. And the first step is to assess and discover your zone of genius. So that means where you are right now Imagine where you want to be and find out and identify those clear Gifts that you have and the gifts that you can monetize. So once you assess your skill set, discover where you shine. Then the next step is to remove obstacles and develop a champion mindset. So remove the things that stop you and start doing the things to build yourself up and get rid of the self-sabotaging behaviors and nurture your strengths and start gaining a growth mindset. And the third phase is to build your business and skyrocket your success.

Speaker 4:

So, legally build a business and start using your valuable skills to make your business grow and create a strategic plan that focuses on your specialty. And again, this is where you collaborate with other people. Find someone that you need to focus on the thing that you do well, and then the things that you don't do well that you can delegate to some. Delegate the other task to someone else, but make sure that you are working the most in the thing that you shine in, so that you're helping, so that you are creating something based upon what you know and the things that you don't know. We can't know everything, and so sometimes we think we have to do everything. But no, you need to shine and do the things that you do well, and then you get help with those things that you don't do well.

Speaker 4:

So, after you build your business legally, establish it, make sure that you get insurance for your business, make sure that you have set up rules and processes in your business to take you to the next level and then, once you've done that, then you need to activate, maintain and sustain your enterprise. How are you going to grow to the next level? How are you going to build a legacy Make sure that you're setting up plans so that, if something happens to you, your business can continue to thrive. So what I did was I just thought about where I was and I created a step by step process so that you can you know, first of all, identify where you shine, create a business, remove those obstacles, build your business and continue your business and continue to sustain your enterprise.

Speaker 2:

Never would have made it, never could have made it without you. I would have lost it all. Now I see you're there for me. I'm stronger than you. Never would have made it, never could have made it without you. I would have lost it all. But now I see you're there for me Because I'm stronger, I'm wiser, I'm better, so much better. When I look back over my life, I knew you would never be by my side. Never, never would have made it, never would have made it without you. I could have lost my mind. Why would you have been for me right on time? I'm never. Never would have made it, never would have made it. You've been there for me. You've been there for me, and that's why I'm stronger. I'm stronger than you. Never would have made it so much better. I'm better, I'm better, I'm better. You've been there for me. You've been there for me All the way to the end. I'm stronger, I'm wiser. So much better, I'm better. Yeah, I'm better, I'm better, I'm better, I'm better, I'm better, I'm better. To the hands of the Russians, to the damingboards, I'm better, I'm better, I'm better, I'm better, I'm better.

Speaker 2:

Never would have made it. I never would have made it, never could have made it, never could have made it Without you. Mmm, I love you. I've been through a long. I've never been. I thought that it was over, but because of your prayers for me, I'm still here. I'm, I'm stronger and I'm baby. Hey, can you switch it now? I'm baby. Anybody, anybody, anybody, anybody, anybody, anybody. I said I made it. Anybody could have been through so much, anybody could have been through the rain, but I. I made it. Straight ahead, straight ahead. I made it. Yeah, yeah. I said I made it. Look at your neighbor. I said I made it. Look at your neighbor. I said I made it. I could have lost my mind. I could have lost my mind, but I made it. I'm still here. I'm going nowhere. Why, yeah, do you need me to do? Oh, yeah, somebody let Mr Morton out, because I feel a switch in this thing. Yeah, I hear you stand. I hear you stand.

Speaker 7:

Oh yeah, I ain't supposed to be on this floor, dr Lawrence, but I'm gonna have to tell him I'll pay for it later, because Bishop Sapp when I look back over my life.

Speaker 2:

I had to remember this position right here. It would win all the time. Somebody said that I'll never be, but I think I so keep it in. I made it, I made it. Had a hard time, had a hard time, had a hard time, had a hard time, had a hard time. Made it, I made it. I made it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was my cue right there. I gotta go. Yeah, bishop Sapp, I made it, I made it, I made it, I made it, I made it. Made it, I made it, I made it. Yeah, I made it, I made it, I made it. Oh, I made it, I made it. Yeah, yeah, I made it. Oh, I made it. Oh, I made it, I made it. Mmm, oh, yeah, oh, I made it. Yeah, yeah, made it yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Never would have made it the cover by Leigh Andrew Johnson. I called that lady the Empress of Gospel. Her voice is just astounding and she just take you back to that good old Southern church. How did that song the way she sang it? How did that minister to you Shar?

Speaker 4:

Wow, you know, leigh Andrea, she just has so much soul. It's just like her voice tells a story as she's singing. It's just so soulful. It just makes me think about your journey, your journey to success. You're gonna face difficulties. You know, that's what we've been talking about. You're gonna face difficulties. You gotta just keep pushing through and then everybody has part in your journey.

Speaker 4:

You know, sometimes people say, oh, I'm not getting the support that I want to get from family or friends, but just them sitting there listening to you Talk about your obstacles. Everybody's not gonna support you in the same way, but you're just glad Because you never would have made it without them Listening to you. Or somebody may support you doing Maybe go to an event with you and help you sell books, or it doesn't have to be everybody just always buying everything that you offer. It's just being a supportive friend Just standing there when you need somebody to talk to, and you give back to them as well. But support doesn't look the same for everybody. So just know that. You know, when it comes to family and friends or whatever, don't depend on them to support your business.

Speaker 4:

God created this idea for a business for other people. You don't have to worry about your family and friends Just by them being there Listening to you or, you know, you just being able to have them be a part of your journey. So just don't look to your family and friends, because when God gives you a gift, he gives you a gift for others To help change the lives of others. It may not be your family, it may not be your target audience, so don't put the focus on that, but I just wanted to say that.

Speaker 4:

But you know, throughout your journey, you won't make it without the help of family, friends and business besties that you meet along the way. I met so many people you know online Instagram, facebook, linkedin and so many people become a part of your journey and you're just grateful Because you never would have made it without them. You know everybody is a part of the collaboration. You know everybody is a part of the stepping stones to your success. So just being thankful and grateful of people that you meet along the way, that give into your life, pour into your life and you pour back into theirs as well.

Speaker 1:

I a million percent agree with that. I was just saying that the other day, like Validation is one thing, but just being grateful and a presciency of other people who got your back, who is there for you. They might not always be there monetary wise, or might not have a lot of time, but appreciate and value the people who are pouring into you and into your business, your brand or whatever it is that you are trying to accomplish. When you got a team behind you, just appreciate that team, because they don't have to do that. They don't have to sacrifice the things and be there and be at your back and call if they didn't believe in what you were doing. So it's not always about a money grab or what you can get from people as far as like monetary wise, but just people's time. Time is of essence. Time is the most valuable thing that you can give anybody, and when somebody gives you a piece of that, especially in a world that we are as entrepreneurs and we are in this social media realm, like everybody is kind of living in a metaverse, so to speak. They still have lives outside of whatever it is that you got going on, whatever idea that you have in your mind that you want to succeed or you want to think that, hey, I want to do this and let me rally the troops. Well, think about the troops and maybe what they have going on is well and try to be more compassionate in the same way that they are pouring into you. You just try to reflect that as best as you can.

Speaker 1:

So, definitely, definitely agree with that. I couldn't agree more. Great, great answer. I want to ask you a question. Share with us your journey of how you turn fear, your journey of how you turn fear, your uncertainty, procrastination and insufficient resources the stepping stones for your success. And one more thing, one more thing before you answer that. It's a double question what advice would you have for individuals who may be hesitant to step outside of their comfort zone and pursue their dreams?

Speaker 4:

Oh, really good question. So just know that when you, when it comes to achieving goals or whatever, you're going to have those times where you move forward and then you, you're going. It's like a seesaw. You're going back and forth because you're kind of questioning things in the middle. So what I would say is it's all a part of your journey. Mistakes help you to be successful. Without failures and procrastination, you would know what you can or can't do. It gives you strength. When you're going through, you know, when you're learning the process and when you're walking down the road just like if you're going on a trip and you don't have a map, but you kind of know where it is You're going to have some detours, right, the detour may be fear, the detour may be procrastination or self-doubt, but just keep going.

Speaker 4:

My journey has been full of mistakes, I'll admit that, and I dealt with a lot of perfectionism. A lot of times I wouldn't move forward because things weren't perfect in my head, like oh, it needs to be like this and I'll just be on hold, you know. But I had to get out of my way because I'm like I'm not moving forward. I need to do something. So I had to. Even in my imperfection. I had to push through and keep going.

Speaker 4:

So my thing that I would tell people is that just step out on faith and just start again when you start. I mean you can't get anything done if you don't start. If you're just sitting there wallowing and self-doubt, defeat and unbelief, you're not going to go anywhere. So, even if you're confused, even if you're fearful, just start taking step by step because it's going to fall into place. My advice is to move forward.

Speaker 4:

Don't worry about perfectionism. As you go, as you grow, you'll perfect your craft. Just get started. That's my main tip that I would say get started and then, when you get started, find someone that's doing what you want to do, whether they be a mentor or maybe they'll be a business bestie, but find somebody that is, you know, on the same path that you are and you can build each other up when you're having those down times. It's very important to have somebody to talk to when you're going through this. So I would say just get started. When you get started, I guarantee you it's going to be someone on that other side to help you move forward and achieve the goals that you want to accomplish in life. Just get started.

Speaker 2:

All the saints and angels. They bow before your throne. All the elders cast their crowns before the land of God and sing You're worthy of it all. You're worthy of it all, For from you are all things and to you are all things. You deserve the glory. All the saints and angels bow before your throne. All the elders cast their crowns before the land of God and sing. You're worthy of it all. You're worthy of it all, For from you are all things and to you are all things. You deserve the glory. You're worthy of it all, For from you are all things and to you are all things. You deserve the glory. Lord, You're worthy, from the rising of the sun to the going down of the sea. Day and night, night and day. Let incense arise. Day and night, night and day. Let incense arise. You're worthy of it all. You're worthy of it all, Jesus, for from you are all things and to you are all things.

Speaker 1:

You deserve the glory. You're worthy, you're worthy. You're worthy of it all. You're worthy of it all. We owe everything to you. Yes, we do, for from you are all things. You deserve the glory. Come on, cc Yannis, where you are worthy of it all. How does that song resonate with your message?

Speaker 4:

We're worthy to be praised. So whatever we do, if we're doing it to honor God, it goes back to God's worthiness and he's there for us. You know, sometimes we feel like we may not have anybody that has our back, but it all goes back to God. We give Him glory and he says that we're worthy just because we're trusting in Him and our faith is going to lead us to continue to worship Him for His greatness. This is why we're here, right, and so it all goes back to the worthiness of the Lord. So it's really encouraging.

Speaker 1:

Yes, it is. That song lists me. I'm going to tell y'all. Y'all know my favorites.

Speaker 1:

Now Y'all not going to get on my show unless you hear Patricia Cox, which is my mother-in-law, whitney Houston or CC Yannis it's not a show. They go back. At least one of them got to be played because they are monumental in the way that their message reaches the world and the effect that it can have, and just in their spiritual journeys and the journeys that they speak of in the music. You can always, like y'all want to know my secret when I think, when, no matter who come on this platform, I can always find revelation to what they're speaking about in one of those three women. So thank you to those three women and we will have time for Q&A.

Speaker 1:

So right now, if you have a question for Shar Halliburton about skyrocketing yours, it says what you can do as far as a speaker or how you can reach our call in. Now's the time to call in, shar. I have a couple more questions for you while we're getting people to call in for you. Monetizing expertise is a key aspect that's mentioned in your book. How can professional women identify their unique skills and create a blueprint for optimal entrepreneurship success?

Speaker 4:

The first thing is identifying what skills they can monetize. So if you're an author, you can monetize your experience by writing a book and the content that you put in the book. You can use that to create other content, create workshops and conferences and things like that. So, first of all, identifying where you shine and what you can monetize and sometimes you may not know what you can monetize Think about the things that you've done. Think about where people always ask you for advice regarding what are the things that you've been. You know, if you're working a nine to five, what are those skills that you have on your nine to five that you can pull away from that and monetize on your own. So you have to identify your zone of genius. And when I say your zone of genius, where do you shine? What is your it factor? What is that one thing that you love to do and that you can provide services to people that need that service? So you got to make sure there's a need for the service that you provide and once you find that out, that's when you can create a plan to monetize it.

Speaker 4:

One of the easy ways to start in that process is to write a book. Write a book about what you know, and that's the. That's one thing about people who they want to write a book. What should I write about? Write about something that you already know. When you write that book, that is the beginning stage to monetization, because you can monetize your message, so many things that you have in your book. Each chapter can be a workshop, Each chapter can be a conference. You know, just think about the things that you know like the back of your hand. That's what you can share and teach somebody else. So I would say, think about those things that you think, about your zone of genius where you shine. That's the beginning of your monetization plan. Once you create that, you'll be able to create other things that you can monetize as well.

Speaker 1:

You know what I've had. I was just going to say now, I've had, in the time that I've been doing shows over, and this is just like on this platform. I've only been on this platform for two months and I've had over 60 guests and I was just about to say I've never had nobody not have a question. But somebody actually got a question. That mean you doing your job, girl, you got one caller. You know what you're doing, girl. They like I got no questions. What can I pick up the book? What can I say? Yes, so we do actually have a caller coming in, Dr Velma. Dr Velma Bagby, what's your question or comment that you have for the guest today?

Speaker 4:

First of all, the way God caused Char and I to cross paths was already profound, and her personality and just who she is and what she represents was what drew me towards her. She has such insight. I've read the book and, look, I had to write the note. I said, char, I wrote, I read your book. I wrote a review back in August. It was so phenomenal. I'm still going back through it because there are things that I have to remind myself to do, even as a coach. All of the suggestions that she make and the tips that she provides, which is profound.

Speaker 4:

But here's my question you, you provided in your book several tips on how a person can get started, but I know that there have been moments, even after you've done that, where you begin to question your route or question your direction, or question your position, or question if you make the right decisions. What do you say to those who have done the work, who have applied the tips that you provided, and then find themselves in the middle of operating and what they have achieved? And yet there's this moment where you began to question Am I doing everything I should be doing? So what do you say to that person, char? Thank you for that question, dr Velma, that's an excellent question, because sometimes I find myself in that same situation. What you have to do is when I know I know what I'm doing and I'm still questioning it is something that needs a redirection, right? So maybe I need to go back and pray about this and ask God to give me the confidence that I need. Sometimes, when we question, maybe we need more training in that thing, we may know what we want to do, but maybe we need more training, or maybe we need more mentorship. But the first thing I would do is tell them to go back to God and pray and ask God to give them the confidence that they need, because sometimes you know it, but you just need a little bit more confidence. So I would say first of all, pray. Second of all, keep learning. Once you know your craft, that's not enough. You have to keep learning, keep growing and connect with other people. That's doing what you're doing. So if you have a question, it's not a hard thing to reach out to someone just to confirm this, that and the other. So pray about it. Keep reading, keep gaining knowledge. Maybe get a coach. Sometimes a coach can help you to go to that next level, and sometimes they have already become a master in that thing. So I would say, stay on top of your niche or whatever, by doing constant research and then connect with somebody that has already become successful in that. I think coaching a lot of times will help us when we get stuck, because that person is right there as a reinforcement to help us to achieve the goals and to go to that next level.

Speaker 4:

Well, you said something that I was really really contemplating and really thinking about, and that was you talked about the importance of the next steps, and those next steps could possibly be after you've written the book, taking your chapters and creating workshops around it or seminars and maybe your master class. And do you provide that level of coaching to an individual who's interested? Yes, I do. And how do I sign up? By just contacting me. I mean, I'll reach out to you, I have your information. I'm laughing. I'm laughing with you.

Speaker 4:

I appreciate your expertise. I really do. I appreciate your insight and I appreciate what you said. I'm telling you I had to go back through the book because I realized I had already read it and then I said, wait a minute, I need to go back through that book and really look at those steps that you brought to my attention because, I'm going to be honest with you, there were moments in my walk towards where I knew God was taking me, that the moment I saw my name next to my title and my assignment, it made me nervous. It really did it. I hesitated creating the contact me for, you know, a discovery call. I hesitated through all those things, but your book really does help to sure up and solidify that we are who we are and that we have to press forward. But those were honest feelings, honest emotions. So you really captured all of those things in the book and I just want to say thank you. Great job, shar. Thank you so much, dr Velma. I appreciate you.

Speaker 1:

Next we have Shar. Thank you so much, dr V, you always so supportive. And yes, I read the book too. I told you, shar, you can tell by these questions. I read it from cover to cover. Girl, I read it from cover to cover girl. Yes, I did. From cover to cover, I was in. I was like, yes, skyrocket my success 2.0, amen. And then I went back and read the first book. I was like, yep, let me get the first one talking about what I'm talking about.

Speaker 4:

So yes, that's what I'm talking about. I'm going back to get the first book.

Speaker 1:

Yes, go get the first book. Go get the first book. Next we got Chanel Coleman Wesley. How you doing, Chanel, and what question do you have for Shar today?

Speaker 3:

Good afternoon ladies. I'm just excited. I wanted to tell Shar congratulations. I see her didn't necessarily have a question, but now I do. I was just enjoying everything that she was putting down. She's a powerful woman of God, powerful speaker, has so many amazing insights. I want to know what the first book is. So now I need to go get the second book, but the first book, so I can pick up what I didn't get the first time in the second one.

Speaker 4:

Thank you so much, so much for joining us, chanel. I appreciate you and your movement. What she said, yes to herself. She's a woman on your international bestseller. For all of you that participated, congratulations. Okay, so the first book is skyrocket your success 10 keys to refocus, reposition and reclaim your purpose. It's the foundation of everything. It just basically talks about getting out of your way and these 10 keys are going to help you to go to that next level. And once you go through those 10 keys, the next step is to monetize your genius in the skyrocket your success 2.0, but yeah, that is the first book skyrocket your success 10 keys to refocus, reposition and reclaim your purpose. It is on Amazon and everywhere books are sold, but I'll send you the link. I'll send you the link.

Speaker 3:

I'm getting it today. I'm getting it. I'm getting it today. I hope you enjoyed it. I appreciate it so very much. My pleasure. I hope your day is amazing gorgeous.

Speaker 4:

Thank you. Thank you so much.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, chanel, for that. See, look, I told y'all this lady right here, this book. Look, I got it. I got it on my Kindle right now and I think I'm a bad girl for a sad copy, but I'm a, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a put my bed in for the sad copy. So, if you can see me because we visual but my avatar, she went right now. Is it any last words that you would like the audience to take from this? Is it any message that you would like the audience to take from this interview that we had today and tell people how they can reach you?

Speaker 4:

Sure. Thank you so much. First of all, jacqueline and Dr Velma, thank you so much for setting this up for me. The thing I would say is that if you feel deep down inside there's something that you want to accomplish and you are not accomplishing that goal, you just kept putting it to what? To the wayside. I want to say to you it's not too late. Sometimes we feel like we're getting older. We're okay, I'm in my 40s. I didn't do it when I was in my 30s, so I can't do it. No, you can still do it If you still have that dream, if that thing just comes to you.

Speaker 4:

Because, like, what happened to me is it was nagging me that I didn't finish the first time I was trying to write the book. It would just nag me whenever I would get up in the morning or at night time, when it's quiet, and still kept saying it's sharp, finish that book. And I was like, okay, I'll do it. But because I was so overwhelmed with not knowing the next step, I kept saying, okay, I kept putting it off. But if you have that dream deep down inside of you and it keeps nagging you, that is a sign that you're moving forward. Move forward and start to research it and reach out to someone. You can easily find someone online, someone that's in your network, that's doing what you want to do. Reach out to them. Sometimes you have to invest in order to make your dream your reality. So don't be afraid to invest. Invest on the level of the transformation that you want, so make sure that you don't just keep putting it off.

Speaker 4:

So I would say make a goal. If it's that one thing I want you to think about, is it that one thing that you have been wanting to do, but you just keep putting it by the wayside? I want to encourage you. It's still time. You're still breathing. It's still time for you to accomplish the goal.

Speaker 4:

So I want to just say move out on faith. Just move forward because you have that desire, because you have something that someone else needs. Someone's waiting on you to follow your goals so you can help them, because God gives us gifts so that we can help others. It's not about you. It's about helping someone else. You can change the trajectory of their lives. So I would encourage you to move forward. Stop procrastinating and move forward to accomplish the goals that you want to accomplish and, once you start emotion, just taking that one step. That next step will be provided to you because you are moving forward, instead of just sitting there and in your head, getting lost in thoughts and doubting everything.

Speaker 4:

I would say get started. Once you get started, everything will work out. It's not going to be a perfect journey. You're going to make mistakes, just know, and perfection is not required. Just get started. That's what I would like to say and again, thank you so much, jacqueline, for this opportunity to be on Listenlinda. I appreciate it, and you can find me on social media. You can find me on Facebook, shahr Halliburton. You can find me on Instagram, at Q like Qashar D, like Detroit Publishing. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you so much, thank you so much.

Speaker 1:

You're welcome, shahr. You are most welcome. I'm going to close out in prayer and with the song and I want to thank the audience and especially you, shahr. Thank you so much for taking me up on and being available for this interview. I did reach out. I had a contest of four giveaways and Dr V reached out and said you know what? I got somebody perfect for this. And I was like Shahr show is. I've been trying to get this late. Let me see it. Let me be a couple one more time, because I'm always in Shahr inbox asking her to be a part of something girl. And she finally said yes, praise the Lord, thank you, god, let me go on and do this interview so there's no child can leave me alone. That Lord, thank you. I appreciate you, shahr, so much.

Speaker 1:

I'm always the one with the jokes. That's just who I am. That's why they called me the personality. That's just who I am, and I'm just so, so, very grateful that you did. The name of the first book again and the second one, so they can know which ones to get. Sure.

Speaker 4:

And once again I'm going to do it in the process. Right now I am changing the book cover so they can match. So in the next couple of weeks I'll have a new book cover for the first one, so they'll match the second one. So the first book is skyrocket your success 10 keys to refocus, reposition and reclaim your purpose. The second book is skyrocket your success 2.0. The corporate woman's roadmap to navigate from employee to entrepreneur. Both of the books are on Amazon and again within the next couple of weeks I will be updating the cover so they will match, since they're, you know, part of a series. So thank you so much for your support. Thanks really bless me today. Thank you again to Dr Velma and you, jacqueline. I really appreciate it.
