How do you ground your family during times of crisis?
This week was going to be something different, a guest on the podcast but instead the lightning that struck Northern California in last days triggered several wildfires and Ariel spent the evening packing and loading the car getting ready to evacuate after a day where
the sun was covered by smoke from the fires and made an apocalyptic feeling in the air.
Life is just happening and we are floating along sometimes. It is OK too.
Breathe. Eat.
Call a couple friends to have place to land and back up place.
Prepare, one room at a time.
Connect in with your partner and kids often, for hugs.
Prep food bags.
Let kids help. Be honest with them.
Breathe, again.
Pray. Meditate. Send energy around. Hope.
Take things that will bring comfort and basic needs will be sorted.
Pack like you might not see the house, again.
Inhale Lavender.
Go to sleep and dream of miracles and people and creatures safety.
10 months since our last 2 week evacuation and blackouts.
