An Engineer's Journey through the Book of Mormon
Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@AnEngineersJourneythruth-xz6bw
The Book of Mormon as seen through the eyes of an engineer (my professional training). This does not mean I focus on engineering aspects of book - although these occasionally surface - but rather, it means that things must make sense, people must behave rationally, and things will usually be what they appear to be.
Although the primary audience will be members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (formerly called Mormons), members of other Christian faiths may be interested in exploring as well.
An audience will meet characters such as Nephi, Lehi, Laman, Lemuel, Alma, Helaman, Mormon, Moroni, King Benjamin, Mosiah, and countless others.

Video description In more detail:
Today, we delve into Alma chapters 14-16, addressing the age-old query: if a benevolent God exists, why do bad things happen to good people? Alma and Amulek are arrested and imprisoned in Ammonihah due to trumped-up charges by scheming lawyers. Horrific events unfold, including the murder of church members' wives and children.
While Alma possesses the ability to spare these innocents, he refrains, allowing divine justice to prevail. The chief judge and others subject Alma and Amulek to abuse and starvation. Eventually, Alma and Amulek break free from their bonds and confront their persecutors, leading to the collapse of the prison, consequentially crushing their adversaries beneath its ruins.
Post-trauma, Alma and Amulek venture towards Sidom, reuniting with survivors, sharing accounts of loss and resilience. Zeezrom is remorseful and seeks redemption via conversion and healing, prompting Alma to heal and baptize him. Concurrently, Alma establishes a flourishing church within Sidom, subsequently returning home to Zarahemla with Amulek, who has been rejected by his own family.
A Lamanite army emerges from the wilderness and annihilates Ammonihah. This devastating event ultimately earns the region the name 'Desolation of Nehors.'
