Speaker 1:

Robert Greene, the author of the 33 Strategies of War. He had a quote that made a lot of sense to me, and it goes like this you are your own worst enemy. You waste precious time dreaming of the future instead of engaging in the present, since nothing seems to urgent you. You are only half involved in what you do. The only way to change is through action and outside pressure. So the truth is yes, everything that happens in our lives, it is up to us. We are the only ones we can truly blame. At the end of the day, we are the only ones that can take accountability. You are your own worst enemy. At the end of the day. The reason for your success is because you are driven to succeed, because you have forced yourself to win. You have motivated yourself to win. The reason you're not successful is because you're probably lazy. You're probably putting things off. You're not making decisions. At the end of the day, there's simple frameworks that can fix this, though, and I understand. I've been there Now.

Speaker 1:

Part of success in business is being able to prosper through the hard times. The only way that you can truly change is through action. Now, this is easier said than done. Many people can talk about it. We can talk about doing things and taking action on things and taking actionable steps towards things, but it requires a mental framework to be able to do it. Everybody says I'm not motivated for that, I'm not motivated for this, I'm not motivated. It doesn't matter. You have to always be motivated.

Speaker 1:

This world is too hard, it's too difficult. It truly is. It's a world where you have to win. You have to be extraordinary just to be average, and if you're average, you're poor. See how it works, and if you've lived poor, then you understand how poor that is. It's a pretty terrible way to live. It's a terrible existence to be poor. At the end of the day, we are all our own worst enemy Our beliefs, our self-limiting beliefs. The paradigm that you live in basically defines your future. The paradigm that you live in defines everything that you're doing right now. The paradigm that you're living in is the reason that you're experiencing everything you are. This world is unpredictable, and so, therefore, the unpredictable twists of fate will dominate your average day, and so everybody wants to make excuses.

Speaker 1:

Well, I couldn't win for this. I couldn't win because I didn't go to college. I couldn't win because I was poor. I couldn't win because I didn't have these resources. I couldn't win because of X, y and Z, but those people will always stay not winning. And the reason is because it's it's a, it's a mindset thing.

Speaker 1:

And now we talk about mindset. What does mindset really mean? What does a mindset? Everybody talks about mindset. Well, I think mindset is the way you associate yourself with your success, your brand. How do people associate you with your brand, mindset? How are you able to handle the unpredictable twists of fate? Do you understand the nature and the philosophy of losing? Because the nature and philosophy of losing is the paradigm of winning. Most people don't understand this. Most people don't even want to lose a few times.

Speaker 1:

Okay, but at the end of the day, when you were a little kid and you were getting on a bike, it took you multiple attempts before you were able to ride the bike right. Dad had to push, you had to keep pushing you. You kept falling off, you kept crying, you scraped your little knee and then eventually you got so scared of falling again that eventually you knew you just had to keep pedaling. And when you pedaled, you just kept going and the momentum took you forward. Okay, like a train. When a train starts moving, then it's going to keep on going. It's going to keep on chugging, chugging, chugging. That momentum of the train is going to really ride a lot of its entire pathway.

Speaker 1:

With a bullet, you fire a bullet, that bullet, that momentum, is going to take it to that destination. But if something gets in the way of the bullet, that bullet is either going to do one of two things the bullet's either going to go through that barrier or the bullet's going to get stopped. And so, yes, one could say, well, a bullet can't control that, and in some ways you're right. In life, you're the bullet you can't control. When there's going to be barriers in your way, you're not going to be able to control. When things are going perfectly, when things are going bad, you're not going to be able to control. When life throws a bunch of crap at you, you're not going to be able to control the economy. Look at the people in North Carolina with the hurricane. Look at people with all of the homes that they lost in California. These things happened out of things. They could not control, decisions that were made by higher, more wealthy people. At the end of the day, most likely.

Speaker 1:

But the point of this is that we only have so much control over the universe, but we still have control and we can decide whether we're the bullet or whether we're the person behind the bullet. Are we going to be the person behind the gun firing, controlling things, or are we going to be the bullet that gets fired by somebody else, literally, and then you get stopped? So, anyways, life is not easy. Life is not easy. Winning is not easy, and the most important lesson I really learned was that nobody was ever going to save me. Nobody was ever going to save me. Nobody was ever going to save me. At the end of the day, I was only going to be able to save myself.

Speaker 1:

So, for example, your income can be controlled. There are a million infinite ways to make money, but most people think there's only one Going to a job, get insurance, get this, get that. You basically get trapped into the system. You pay a 401k. Maybe you'll get a pension in 30 years if you stay there the whole time. And then, next thing you know you've been there 30 years and all your friends are living their dreams, living their lives, and you're just like man.

Speaker 1:

I could have been so great, I could have been so amazing, I could have been extraordinary, but I'm not. Why? What did I do? Where did I go wrong? And you should never let yourself get to this point.

Speaker 1:

Life is a very difficult challenge. It's not easy to win, and I know that. I know that making a lot of money isn't easy. I know that. I understand that the things in life that happen to us are not fair. We lose a loved one, we lose a pet. So let me give you a little framework that really helped me out in terms of making sure that I'm always getting shit done and not being lazy. Okay. So I think a great way to make sure that you're always getting things done and you're not being lazy is that you have to have a mental framework that you are yourself and that that other person that is you is doing all of those things that you're not doing. Okay.

Speaker 1:

So imagine you want to go to the gym. Maybe you're, maybe you're 300 pounds. You want to go to the gym. You want to lose weight. You want to look good. You're sick of living the way you are. Well, you just need to imagine yourself looking the way you want to look and how that would look and how you would get there, and you should write out an actionable plan. Okay. So for that specific person, I would tell them well, create a workout, okay. Well, I don't know what workouts to do. You have chat GPT, you have croc three, you have Google Gemini, you have Google itself, you have YouTube. There's a million ways you can learn ways to work out. You have to want to learn, though. Before you can ever change your life, you have to want it. Okay, you have to want it. You have to have a will, a desire that outpaces everybody else's, because a lot of people want to be in great shape. A lot of people want to have an eight pack. A lot of people want to be lean. A lot of people want to be muscular. A lot of people want to be great in powerlifting. A lot of people want to be good at sports. A lot of people want to be good at business. A lot of people want to be good at horseback riding. A lot of people want to be good baseball players or football players, whatever it might be, okay. Everybody wants to be great, but not everybody can be, because only one person is going to outwork everybody else, and this is the entire economy we live in. This is America, the American system is built on success and a divine devotion to achievement. Okay, the American dream is about building something that nobody thought you could build and going against the tides. Okay, the American dream is about quitting your job at a place you hated and you build something from scratch, and it's beautiful. That's the American dream. The American dream is being able to own a home. No, the American dream is being able to own a home. No, the American dream is being able to own many homes. You see, you were always taught that you need a white picket fence house, get your little space, blah, blah, blah. No, the American dream is to have it all, to have many properties and the way that you acquire many properties, many wealth, many reps that will get you in shape, to get you the sitzpat to help you lose the weight. It all comes together when it comes to where your head is at, and so a great framework for this. That always helped me. I try to envision my worst enemy doing the exact things that I want to do in life. Imagine right now, that your worst enemy, the person you dislike the most or hate the most hopefully not hate, but let's just say that person imagine them doing everything you want to do right now. So let's just say, like I said, you want to go to the gym, you want to. You're 300 pounds, you want to lose weight? Well, you have another enemy of yours who's also maybe 300 pounds. They also want to lose weight. Well, what if that person? Imagine that person going to the gym and losing the weight and you're not doing it.

Speaker 1:

Imagine yourself as a superhero. And the other you is the villain. The villain you is the one who doesn't take the action. The villain is the one who doesn't go to the gym. The villain is the one who sits around. He hates, he wonders, he ponders, he worries. Is the one who sits around. He hates, he wonders, he ponders, he worries.

Speaker 1:

And then the winner, the good man, the good, the good you is the one who essentially takes action. The good you is the one who takes initiative. You're industrious, you take drive, you're not afraid to take risks. You're brave, you're courageous enough to stand up for what you believe in. You go for what you want. You're a go-getter, you're self-made. That's going to hurt when you see other people doing what you knew you could achieve. That's where people really get caught up in life. Okay, when people get off the train that they originally wanted to be on and they go and do something else that they really didn't know. They weren't sure, but they did it. And they did it out of good intentions, but they didn't do it because it was what was going to truly make them happy. Okay, and so what is happy Now? Should we just be happy all the time? No, but you should achieve and strive to be happy. You should strive.

Speaker 1:

The pursuit of happiness, very simple, the pursuit of happiness. If you want to be happy in this life, if you want to be fulfilled and successful, then you need to be able to take the steps, got to be able to imagine yourself doing it. You got to think with the end in mind. This life on planet Earth is a matrix, no doubt about it. Everything in this life is a test, everything in this life is a simulation. It's like a video game. God's playing the video game and Satan's playing against him. We're all just the characters inside of this video game, god and the devil. They can both pause the game whenever they want, because they're just it's 1v1. But we're all just the players in this entire system.

Speaker 1:

But here's the kicker we have free will. So, with all of this free will. God and the devil are constantly fighting back and forth, and here they're using us as these placeholders, these pawns on earth. And that's the truth. And so it begs the question what are you going to do in order to make sure you achieve the things that you want to achieve, while also making sure that you fulfill God's plan for you and for the rest of the world? We need to make a pact with God.

Speaker 1:

People laugh at this. People think well, I don't need God. Well, it's like, at the end of the day, despite how many religions there are, you know, you can say maybe you believe in Christianity, maybe you believe in atheism, maybe you hopefully not atheism, maybe you believe in Buddhists, maybe you're Hindu. No-transcript, the endless dimensions that will be traveling in this next three decades. You guys don't even know what's coming.

Speaker 1:

So the point is in business and entrepreneurship, you have to take actions and you are your worst enemy all the time. It's your decision to stay on the couch and to not work out that day. It's your decision to not pick up the phone and make 100 phone calls, 200 phone calls, 300 phone calls, and to spread time out of your every single day. And do that thing, because I guarantee you, if you were to do that as a business owner, as an entrepreneur, you're going to make a shit ton of money, because that's how I've made my money. We're not a perfect business, but we make a lot of money. We do pretty well at the end of the day.

Speaker 1:

And, by the way, if you want to grow your business, work with goldsharkmediacom. We will make sure that we grow your business with website SEO, lead generation, we'll get you cold email outreach, we'll get you social media management. We really just do it all. We handle all of it for you. So you don't got to waste the time, so you don't got to worry about anybody else. We take care of it for you. Okay, yes, we already know every other agency does the same things. You're going to get the same call. You're going to get the same conversation blah, blah, blah, blah, blah how their technology is great, how they're working with these companies and those companies. Really, they just want your money and we all know this. Okay, and we've all worked with marketing agencies that don don't work.

Speaker 1:

But Gold Shark Media is a little different because, you know, I consider us more of a growth partnership agency. We charge high premiums, because what we are in for is a partnership, and so that's kind of what I've. Honestly, in my opinion, that's what works best. You know, we have a system at Gold Shark Media where we help promote business owners and their social media, their videos. We help do video editing, grow your YouTube channel for you. We do all of this stuff for entrepreneurs just like you, so we can make sure that you're winning and building your American dream.

Speaker 1:

Okay, we're a growing agency. We're here for the long haul. We're going to win, and that's what I'm all about. I'm all about winning, I'm all about success. I'm all about adversity. I'm all about proving everybody wrong. When society tells you no, I say fucking yes. When society says no, I say bullshit. When society says no, I say why? I always, always, am the difficult one, because I believe that humanity is capable of much, much more than what we really allow ourselves to admit.

Speaker 1:

But you have control over your diet. You have control over the things that you consume on social media, on Instagram, on Twitter, whatever over your diet. You have control over the things that you consume on social media, on Instagram, on Twitter, x, whatever it might be. You have control over who you hang out with the friends that you associate with. You have control over your spouses. Your mate is who you're going to have children with. You have control where you send your kids to school. You have control where, essentially, your kids, or how your kids are going to be raised. You control your life. At the end of the day, you have free will.

Speaker 1:

It's the beauty of planet earth and also the curse of planet earth. This is the place where we go as human beings to, but maybe we get kicked down from heaven. Maybe we're fallen angels and we just we come here on planet earth to basically pay our bill and to essentially make up for all the bad things. Maybe the reason for the tragedy, maybe the reason for the craziness and the chaos, the anarchy, the murder, the blood, the deceit, the chaos, the anarchy, the war, all of it. Maybe the reason for this is because Planet Earth is a testing ground. Maybe it's because it is a video game. It's God versus Satan, it's God versus the devil, it's, you know, good versus evil, and that's and we're just players inside of this game.

Speaker 1:

But the catch is we have control over our actions and the things we say, the things we do and the things we want to do. We have the will and the power to manifest our futures through action. See, planet earth is the place where creativity and spirituality and physical matter all connect the Holy Spirit, almost Father, the Son and the Holy Trinity. Planet Earth is very much like that. Planet Earth is a place where physical matter and spirituality come together. Amazing inventions, the most amazing sequences of history of things that might not be really understood by other intelligent life forms in the universe. We're a royal species. As human beings, we can do anything we want to do. We can go beyond the stars. We can go beyond the firmament. We can go beyond all of these things. We can go beyond the dome. We can go beyond the earth, all the different planets, all the different galaxies, all the different dimensions. The truth is we can do anything as human beings and it is only us who gets in our way.

Speaker 1:

What gets in your way? I bet the things that are getting your way right now are probably financial, probably having a lot of problems keeping up with bills, paying groceries, paying gas, and you're going to this job. You're living this life you don't want to live. You're going in circles because you're living in the hardest economy that's ever existed the American economy. There's so many things we can do on planet Earth and if we really want it bad enough, then we can achieve anything we want. But we are the only things that get in our own way. Usually, the things that get in our way on our path to success is not making decisions, it's not doing the little things, and once you can control your life, you're going to find life gets a lot easier when you have control of your finances, for example. So most people don't have control over anything and they think they do. They're very arrogant. Again, most people are.

Speaker 1:

What did Andrew Tate say? They're either lazy, they're stupid or they're arrogant, and I really agree with that. I think not everybody's stupid. I think that's like maybe 2% of people, and then I would say most of the majority would be lazy, and then I would say the smaller majority would be arrogant, and I think there's actually a mix of arrogance and laziness. Okay, people want to believe that they're greater than they are, but they don't want to back it up with facts, with evidence, and they don't want to put in the work for it.

Speaker 1:

You know they ain't going to die trying, and that's what you got to do. You got to get rich or die trying, and the only way you're going to be able to succeed is if you understand that you are your own worst enemy. Every single time. It's always going to be your fault. So if you're an entrepreneur, if you're, even if you're not an entrepreneur, you're living through life, doing whatever you're doing, and maybe you're blaming somebody else for your shit, and I totally get this. I understand why. I see how this can happen. I'm like this too. I like to blame other people sometimes do, but I always try to blame myself. At the end of the day, I blame myself for everything. I blame myself for anything in my life that I haven't perfected yet and made great, because I had the opportunities when I was younger to learn those things, but I took time and wasted it. So today I try to not waste time.

Speaker 1:

In college, you know, although it wasn't a complete waste of time, I did get my degree, criminal justice, which is kind of cool, but it was a waste of time. It's a waste of money. You know, I was this four year vacation. I learned how to live alone and I learned, you know, how to love my country out of my colleges, teaching me to like hate my country. I was surrounded by pre-med students and pre-law students, super liberal environment, and that's most colleges or universities. Anybody who's been to college, you understand. Um, it's just anybody. Any conservative who's been to college, you understand. It's just anybody. Any conservative, any conservative, republican, trump voter at the time who voted or who was in college. You guys know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1:

I had to live through college with the whole COVID vaccine stuff and all this crazy, all the craziness that went on. I had to live through that and it was just ridiculous. I ended up graduating. Still, I ended up getting. I'm graduating because I ended up getting to basically go to the police academy in order to fulfill my college credits. And so we did that. We succeeded, became a cop and I.

Speaker 1:

That was when I learned the biggest lesson of my life and, at the end of the day, the biggest lesson of my life was that nobody is going to save you. Nobody is going to come and give you a million dollars. Nobody is going to save you. Nobody is going to come and give you a million dollars. Nobody is going to build your dreams for you. Nobody's going to build your business for you. Everybody wants to make so much money that they can just hire everybody to do all the work and it's just, it's laughable to anybody like me who's like, really been in the ringer.

Speaker 1:

At the end of the day, I still want to make sure that we are able to help as many business owners as possible, because the hardest part about business is understanding that it's all a learning curve, and the hardest part about business for a lot of people is the fact that it takes a lot of failing. It takes a lot of wasting money and losing money and people telling you it's not going to work, Telling you to hang up your cleats, just get out of here, close the business, go back and get a job that's stable. You know, be like be like John Donner over over here, who has a gas station job and he's working this, and be like this lady who's doing this or this guy who's doing fuck that. You need to figure out what you want to do, figure out what you love, figure out what you're going to, figure out what's going to make you the most amount of money. How much money do you want to make? Okay, that's the second question you ask. The first question you ask is how do I want to make my money? How do I want to become wealthy? What do I want to be remembered for?

Speaker 1:

Okay, you got to think big, and if you're going to think big, then you're finally going to be making bigger moves. Right, you've heard the term you shoot for the stars. You'll probably you'll miss high, you know. You'll shoot for the stars. You're going to at least get out into this. You're going to get in space, you know, and so you'll leave Earth and you'll actually get to travel. You'll get to be expansionist, you'll get to go on the voyage. Still, you might not just hit that star, but you'll at least get closer than you were, as if you were aiming for nothing. You know, if you're aiming for nothing, nothing at all, you'd have big dreams in business, you'd have big goals, and if you don't believe in yourself, that's already the first problem. So, believing in yourself, knowing what you want to do, how you want to make your money, how you want to be remembered as a business owner, as an entrepreneur what do you want to be known for? Okay, how do you want to be known for? Like, when people Google you, what do you want them to talk about? What do you want them to say Like for me. What do I want people to say when they look up Brendan Acker, brendan Scott Acker, gold Shark Media I'm a business owner. I'm a businessman, entrepreneur. I'm an investor. I'm an investor. I love investing in companies. I love helping other businesses. I love AI. I like project management, I like marketing. I like sales. I like all of it. I'm business. I hope that anybody who looks me up I want them to see business. And then YouTube or my books. I'm also an author. If you guys want to buy my books, you can buy my books beyond the beat or how I made my door in my office from Amazon. Those are 20 bucks. You can get those for free. Also on Kindle for like 99 cents. So go ahead and do that. And yeah, you guys like the books. I think they'll help you in business. Again, they were about my journey in college and law enforcement, of course, but also how and why I got into business and explains my path a little bit. So if you want to learn about me, what made me want to get into business, what made me want to escape the matrix and be free from law enforcement and all this other stuff and again, I'm still a cop, I'm just part time right now by choice, because I like freedom, I like having a decision, like having control, baby. So that's the idea we are our own worst enemy and you can never forget this. We are our own worst enemy and you can never forget this. We are our own worst enemy, you are your own worst enemy. So, if you just take action, write out an actionable plan. What do you want to do? How do you want to get there? Okay, how much money you want to make? Okay, how are you going to go make that money? Chat, gpt, google, rock okay, how can I make? You want to make twenty eight thousand dollars a month passive income, easy. Well, for, for example, how are you going to do that? Well, let's look. How are you going to make enough money? How are you going to make $700,000 or $150,000 so you could put that down payment on an apartment complex? That will generate you $28,000 a month and, noi, net operating income? What are you going to do to make that happen? What are you going to do to make that happen? What are you going to do in your life to take real steps and figure yourself out. Figure out what you really want and how you want to make your money. The real reason most people I really think most why most business owners fail and why they fail and it takes them years to succeed if they don't fail, is because they have this. They have this continuing belief that it's just going to be this easy ride. A lot of business owners they don't realize that a big part of business is losing, and losing a lot of money. A big part of business is making sacrifices and being told that what you're doing sucks. A big part of business is not making sales right away, but an also big part of that is keeping the game going. A lot of business owners they quit. They give up too early. They stop playing the game when they don't see success, when they, when they get sick of other people reaching out to them, when they get tired of the game, they just stop it. But the problem is, when you stop the game, you stop making money, and so money is important. Why do you need money? Well, if you don't have money, you can't have health, wealth, love or happiness. That's the end of the day. You need to have wealth. Wealth is the fuel to get you there. Then you need to have your health where. Okay, now you got your wealth. You got enough to give you a good life. Now you can be comfortable, you can mentally, you don't have to stress about bills or finances anymore. Good, we're financially free. Step one check. Then you should focus on your health. You know, okay, now we got. Now we're making 100K a month plus. So how are we going to do that? How are we going to stay in good shape? How are we going to get stronger every single day? How are we going to get more effective as a human being? So this should be your next step. After that, and so 12, love and happiness. How are you going to get those things? Okay, well, the first step is you got to have the wealth. I think you got to have something to pay your way in. Okay, how are you going to get on the ark? Remember seeing the movie 2012? They all have to get on the ark. Well, it costs you. You got to be rich. It was all the rich people, sorry, or the powerful people. Rich or powerful, rich or powerful One of the two. You have to be Okay, because if you're not, then essentially you're going to be locked out of the game Again. This is planet Earth. Here. I didn't make the rules. This is the way the world is. This is a jungle, survival of the fittest, and it pretty much is at the end of the day, and it's a tough world we live in. But again, you have to remember that we're all being tested all the time on this Earth. I believe that this is a simulation test, so in order to pass the test, you just have to stay alive. As long as you alive, you just gotta, or as long as you can. You know you gotta stay alive as long as you can stick it out, and then you know, you'll learn a lot about yourself, your soul. We're so trapped into this matrix of going to these stupid jobs and doing these stupid things that really don't push forward the human race in any way. You know you're stuck at this job and you got people just telling you how important this is and how, oh, you're going to have this. You know, when I was your age, when I was getting a house at 20 years old, it's like yeah. When you were getting a house, when it was like what? 3% interest rates, 6% interest rates maybe, like okay, come on, you know it ain't the same generation. So in today's generation, learn how to make money with modern creativity. Modern creativity and modern wealth strategies are going to make you the most amount of money. For example, how many people are you investing in XRP and Bitcoin? Okay, I don't really like Bitcoin. I've never been a fan of it. I think it's kind of a scam. I could see it going to zero, but we'll see, Maybe I'll be wrong. But how many of you are invested in XRP, hbar? How many of you are invested in Cardano, ada? How many of you are invested in Algorand? How many of you are invested in OnyxCoin or all these other? Ondo, finance, all these different great digital assets? Right, xlm forgot to leave that one in there Dogecoin. That will probably have some use case soon. So all I know, guys, is that in order for you to succeed, in order for you to become everything you want to become, you have to understand that you are your own worst enemy and you have to overcome yourself. You have to overcome your worst fears, your worst desires. You have to believe that you can achieve. You have to believe that you can get out of it and just like that, if you don't conquer your dreams, the lights go out and that's the you know.
