We open Scripture from Genesis to Malachi to trace how God’s desire to bless His people is always connected to purpose, obedience, and multiplication. From the first charge to “be fruitful and multiply” to the promise that blessings will “overtake” those who obey, we connect the dots across Genesis 1, Genesis 9, Deuteronomy 11, and Deuteronomy 28, then root the daily practice in Psalm 1 and Psalm 112: delight in the Word, renew your mind, and become the kind of person whose leaves do not wither.

You’ll hear a clear picture of what biblical blessing looks like in real life: favor at work, wisdom for decisions, courage under pressure, and generosity that reaches the poor. We talk through how “the Lord will bless the work of your hand” reframes your job as a place where God’s guidance shows up as excellence and integrity. We also explore Proverbs 10:22 and Malachi 3 to show why God’s increase adds no sorrow and how trust, tithes, and open windows of heaven fit into a life of stewardship rather than scarcity.

Throughout, we keep the focus on why: God blesses His children so they can lift others. If you’ve felt stuck in survival mode, this conversation points a path toward steady growth—thinking God’s thoughts, speaking life, making wise moves, and seeing fruit in season. Listen to be equipped with Scriptures you can meditate on, practical steps to align your habits with God’s ways, and a hopeful vision of flourishing that serves your family, church, and community.

Hello, my name is Stephanie. Welcome to the All Is Well Podcast. My mission is to teach people the Word of God and emphasize its importance in their daily lives. I'm glad you decided to join me today. Let's get started. Hello, welcome to episode 48. Did you know that God wants you to be blessed and to multiply here on the earth? Well, in today's episode, we're going to go over the scriptures so you can see how you and I are blessed, how God's children are blessed, and how he wants us to multiply. So let's get started. So where I would like to start, let's open our Bibles to Genesis chapter 1. So in Genesis chapter 1, after God created Adam and Eve in his own image, this is what he said to them. So God blessed them and then he gave them instruction to multiply for them to work. There is a purpose and there is a calling that God has for each and every one of us. And for him, he wants us to multiply. Because if we are living in a position where we're always struggling, where we're always needing something, then it's hard for us to live the blessed life that God wants us to live. Because when we're living in a blessed life, we're not just doing it for ourselves, we're doing it for the people around us. We can bless other people in their time of need. And so let's go on over to another part of the Bible where it talks about this more. Let's go to Genesis chapter 9, verse 1. So in Genesis chapter 9, verse 1, with Noah, so God told the same thing that he told to Adam and Eve. So right after the flood, God said, So God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. So let's go back. So this was after the flood. So at the beginning, God told Noah to build an ark because a flood was going to come. And so the only people that he were to let in were his family, because those were the only people that listened to him. So there were evil people in that time who were not listening to God, who were not following God, and they did not survive. So did God tell these people who were not following God to be fruitful and multiply? And did he bless them? No, he didn't. God blesses his people. God blesses those who follow him, those who love his word. Those are the ones that God wants to bless and will bless. It's not that we want things, it's when we're tied and connected to God, it just automatically comes. God blessed Noah and He told Noah, Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. And the same thing that he told Adam and Eve, he said, And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all the move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. So just like God gave Adam and Eve dominion, he also gave Noah and his sons dominion over the earth. That's how we're supposed to be. We're not supposed to be struggling and weak, but get our strengths from the Word of God and He uplifts us. Let's keep going and read more about the blessing. Let's go to Psalm chapter 1. Let's turn to our Bibles to Deuteronomy chapter 11, verse 26. So in Deuteronomy chapter 11, verse 26 and 27. Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse. The blessing if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today. So if we're following God, we're in obedience to his word and what he tells us to do, what's going to happen? The blessing is attached to it. It's automatic. It's not that we're begging him for things, that we only want these things. It's automatic when we follow the word of God and we delight ourselves in him, he blesses us. And he says, I have given you two things, a blessing and a curse. Which one will you follow? Which one do you want? It's your decision. And it says here in 28, and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today. So for God's children, He provides a blessing when we obey Him. Let's read more on that. Let's go to Deuteronomy chapter 28. So in Deuteronomy chapter 28, verse 1, it's titled The Blessings on Obedience. Now it shall come to pass if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all his commandments, which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth, and all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Isn't that the same thing that we read before in Deuteronomy 11? God says, If you obey me, these blessings shall overtake you. It's not just a little bit, but overtake you where it's going to be more than enough. God, we need to remember and know that God is a God of more than enough. He's not a little God in heaven. He's the God of more than enough. He can handle everything and anything that we give him. And if we keep reading, in verse 3, it says, Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground, and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Verse 6, Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. When you're going out into your job, you'll be blessed. When you're at home, you'll be blessed. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses, and in all to which you set your hand, and he will bless you in the land which the Lord your God has given you. The Lord will establish you as a holy people to himself, just as he sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, then all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you, and the Lord will grant you plenty of goods. What will God do? The Lord will grant you plenty of goods when we obey the voice of the Lord our God, in the fruit of our body, in the increase of our livestock, and in the produce of our ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give to you. Verse twelve, the Lord will open to you his good treasure the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. It's saying that when you work, God will bless the work that you do. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow, and the Lord will make you the head and not the tail. You shall be above only and not be beneath. So God wants us to be the top no matter where we're at. When we're at our job, whatever we're doing, God says, I will make you the head and not the tail. I don't want you to be at the bottom. God says, You shall be above only and not be beneath. If you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them, so you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. See the amazing things that God has for us when we obey Him. We're not just doing these things to get things, we're following Him because we love Him, we walk in His ways, and we are obedient to His word. Then these blessings will come upon our lives, things will go well for us. Not a struggle life, but a blessed life. Let's keep reading more on this. Let's go to Psalm 1. In Psalm 1, verse 1, it reads, Blessed is a man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night. But what does a blessed man do? Why is a man blessed? Because he delights in the law of the Lord. He loves the word of God. And in his law he meditates day and night. He reads the word of God every day. When you're reading the word of God every day, what are you doing? You're renewing your mind. Your mind becomes renewed. You start thinking like God wants you to think. You start speaking the way that God wants you to speak. You start moving to the places where God wants you to move. You start doing the things that God wants you to do. And then he says in verse 3, He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither. It says, shall not wither. It doesn't say you will wither in this season. It does not say that. Blessed people do not wither. Blessed people prosper. As you continue on, it says, And whatever he does shall prosper. So remember that. When we obey the voice of the Lord our God, we delight in his word, meditate on his word, and follow it, we will not wither, we will prosper. Blessed people do not wither. Blessed people prosper. Let's keep going. Let's turn to Psalm chapter 112. In Psalm 112, verse 1, praise the Lord. Blessed is a man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in his commandments, his descendants will be mighty on earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness. He is gracious and full of compassion and righteous. A good man deals graciously and lends. He will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he will never be shaken. The righteous will be an everlasting remembrance. And this is a blessed person. And look what it says here, we'll go back. It says, Surely he will never be shaken. The righteous will be an everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of evil tidings. His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he will not be afraid until he sees his desire upon his enemies. He has dispersed abroad, he has given to the poor. So let's stop right there. If you're struggling, are you able to give to the poor? No, because you need it. You're the one who needs those things. But it says in verse 9, when you're blessed, you will be able to disperse abroad and give to the poor. Then it reads, His righteousness endures forever, his horn will be exalted with honor, the wicked will see it and be grieved, he will gnash his teeth and melt away. The desire of the wicked shall perish. That part is when people don't understand the blessing of the righteous. Let's go to Proverbs chapter 10, verse 22. In Proverbs chapter 10, verse 22, it says, The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and he adds no sorrow with it, which means there's nothing wrong with the blessing of the Lord. It's not going to be bad for you, it's going to be good for you. Let's move to our next scripture, Malachi chapter 3. So Malachi chapter 3, verse 10. God says, Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. A blessing again. And what do you do to receive this type of blessing? God says, when you bring all the tithes and offering into the storehouse, God says, Trust me, try me now in this. He wants us to do it. He says, Do this and you will see what I will do for you. He says that I will open for you the windows of heaven. I'm going to do that for you. And I will pour out for you such blessing. See? Blessing. God wants to bless us. And God says, and there will not be enough room to receive it. Because God is a God of more than enough. He doesn't just give us just a little bit, just a little bit to get by. That's not who he is. That is not his character. If you read the word of God and you know who God is, you know that he's not just a little God, he's not a small God, but he is a big God. And he wants to bless his children. He wants his children to be prosperous and to multiply and to do well and everything that they do and everything that they set their hands on. Because God wants to bless the work of your hands. When God blesses the work of your hands, everything's going well for you. Do you want things to go well for you on your job or do you want them to go wrong? You want them to go well for you, right? So when God blesses the work of your hands, he's giving you wisdom and he's guiding you to make the right moves, to do the right things on your job, causing you to have favor with people, and things will go well with you. So if you see through scripture and throughout the Bible, when you're a child of God, and when you follow his commandments, you read the word of God, and you delight yourself diligently in the word of God, and you take it upon you. Because when you're reading the word of God, you're meditating on it, you're renewing your mind, you're becoming a new person. You have to renew your mind, and it's changing you and it's making you new. And then God says, when that happens, then I will bless you, and my blessing will overtake you. That's just how it works. It's automatic. Think about with your children. If you have children, are they just your child and that's it? No? They have a roof over their head, they have toys, they have things that they like, they have food, food that they like, snacks that they like, they have clothes to wear, and anything else that they ask for, in due time, you give that thing to them, don't you? So if you, like it says in the New Testament, if people know how to give good gifts to the children, then how much more will God give to those who love Him? So what I would recommend for you is to study the Word of God. Meditate on these scriptures that I have mentioned. You can go back to the beginning, write down the scriptures if you didn't get them the first time. Meditate on them. Know that God wants to bless you, what he wants for you, what he wants to do in your life. We're not here just to live and then go to heaven. There is a purpose, there is a calling here on this earth that we need to do, that he wants us to do, that he wants us to fulfill. And we can't do that if we don't know the word of God, if we are not living the blessed life, because then we're only living to survive. We're not living just to survive or just to get by. We need to be blessed so that way we can do what he's called us to do. So I would recommend for you to keep reading the word of God, meditating on these scriptures, and know, just know that you are blessed and that God wants us to multiply in everything that we do.
