NCAA Titles And A Bad Handshake

SPEAKER_00

Welcome, welcome, welcome back to another episode of From My Perspective. We're coming back to you after a slight delay. Put the blame on me. You can put the blame on me. I was having a little too much fun last week. But we're back. I'm your boy Dion. Thank you for joining us again. Go ahead, hit that like button. Go ahead, subscribe. And you guys know I'm joined by the man, the myth of legend himself, Captain Hater. Hey man, what it is what it is.

SPEAKER_01

You already know the bastard boy, Mr. Bell, aka that say your name up on the spot. Mind out with you to mind. You know what I'm saying? I don't feel like it really was a delay. People are allowed vacation. You know what I'm saying? Right.

SPEAKER_00

You're right.

SPEAKER_01

You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_00

We just took the week off. Yeah, just a little bit. A week and it's really a week and a half, because we got a lot for you guys this week. But we'll talk about that later this week. But first off, before we get into what we gotta talk about, congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines and congratulations to the UCLA Bruins. We'll talk about that team a little bit later because they did a lot of damage in the uh WMBA draft. But congratulations to both teams. Dusty May, congratulations. Uh UCLA Women's, congratulations. We apologize. I apologize. I assumed it was the UConn invitational. Uh, but South Carolina, they knocked him out in the Final Four game. Gino, you can tell he was a little bur hurt. You can tell he doesn't like losing because he doesn't lose often. You can tell he didn't like losing him and uh Miss Coach Don Staley got into it. Gino, you was dead wrong. You were dead. But South Carolina, you knock out the Kings, the Queens, but you couldn't, you couldn't finish the deal. You lose the UCLA, a great team. But again, congratulations, Michigan. Congratulations, UCLA, on winning their respective uh Final Fours. For the winners of the bracket tournament, you will get your reward. You will get your prize. It's coming. Again, a little vacation last week. We will get to it. Q will reach out to you guys. It's on his long to-do list. Don't worry. He will get there. But Q, Michigan winning, UCLA winning, South Carolina beating UConn. We got a lot to get to, but I gotta ask you your thoughts on those couple things.

SPEAKER_01

Uh the the first thing, let's start with, let's start with Michigan winning, because I feel like the women, I got a little more to say. Uh Michigan winning. I was upset with myself, and then I was upset in general that Michigan winning. The reason I'm upset with myself is because I remember them playing that game against Duke in Washington, D.C. late in the season. And I was like, how both of them could win the national title? I don't know if it was, you know, the Big 12 tournament that made me decide, like, hey, now I'm gonna go with Arizona, or if I was just trying to do the pick with everybody else. I was like, man, I'm mad at myself because I forgot that Michigan was that good. And I sit here and watch that game. It was like, damn, that's a good ass game. They both could make it. But uh, so yeah, nah, I'm like I said, I'm upset with myself, being upset in general because don't get me wrong, I like Pat Kelsey. Thus Meg was supposed to be on that sound line, and he was number one option. He swerved us to go to Michigan. I'm not mad at it, you know what I'm saying? I respect it because, like I said, I like Pat, I like Pat Kelsey a lot. But that's he may got him a championship already.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I think I think he he's like from Michigan or something like that too. He's from the area, so it makes sense.

SPEAKER_01

He also had, I think he had office from Ohio State that year, too. So you know what I'm saying? But he chose the maze in blue. I respected uh Pat Kelsey doing his thing in the portal this year so far. You know, I don't really trust that, but we'll talk about that later this summer. Um so yeah, nah, the Michigan thing, I was a little upset with myself. The women, UCLA. I'm gonna go to UCLA first. Like you, like you started out with my head. That's my fault. My look, I uh I underestimated y'all, I disrespected y'all. You know what I'm saying? I caught not even just you, not even just UCLA, South Carolina too, and you know what I'm saying? Because I called it the UConn invitation. That's crazy, and they didn't even make it the championship game. Think about it, they didn't even make the championship game. That's crazy, and I called it the UConn invitation. Egg on the face, literally, you know what I'm saying? I I get I got that wrong, and I'm I'm cool, comfortable enough admitting that I got that wrong. But South Carolina did what a lot of other teams don't didn't do or can't do, it was they they got physical with Yukon. They they gave UConn little shoulders. Look, you know what I'm saying? Them screens was a little harder, a little sharper. They got they got in the physical, they got the physical on Yukon and then they played into Yukon's mental. You gotta Yukon look defeated early in that game. They looked defeated, they looked like they they looked like they had they knew they was going to lose. They looked like they didn't have it in them because I don't want to say the word. The word is kind of my punk. It's like South Carolina punked them. I can't think of another as for lack of a better word, but it's like they intimidated them a little bit and made them tense. Uh it it did also maybe some part of the moment got to them. So that's a possibility as well. But yeah, South Carolina.

SPEAKER_02

I'm happy.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not gonna say I'm happy. I don't know if I'm happy UConn lost, because I mean, I don't like being wrong.

SPEAKER_00

I I wasn't happy, but I wasn't sad. I was more upset that South Carolina lost the championship game because you so you you take out Goliath. I'm not gonna say UCLA is David, but they not, they would, they not, they not Yukon, they are a solid team. Again, we'll talk about them a little bit later when we talk about the WMA drive. They did what they did very well.

SPEAKER_01

But they but your comparison, they I kind of like Goliath because they long.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like my uh, we was watching the game as a family, and all my uncle, my uncle kept both of my uncles kept saying, Yo, them girls is tall. Them girls, they ain't so and they was, you know, UCLA was quick too. So we talked about it, I was gonna say last week, but the last time we did the vibe. You put so much energy and effort into that game before the championship game, yeah, yeah. Once you get to the championship game, you kind of spent Don had a full week, well, almost a full week, to plan for UConn. She only had a day to plan play plan for UCLA in Atlanta.

SPEAKER_00

Good point. Good point.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, I think that played into it as well. But you know, I we gotta get your thoughts because I you know I I was able to get my thoughts on the sit on on the handshake situation. You know what I'm saying? I won't know what your thoughts is on the handshake.

SPEAKER_00

Like I said, Gino, you dead wrong, but it's just obviously you was upset that you lost. You don't lose often. You damn wrong, though. You got mad. Apparently, I I read that he was like, he was mad that Don Staler was in the rest areas a lot. I'm like, is that not what all coaches do? Every coach I've known is in the rest air trying to get calls in their favor. That's what coaches do. He just there, him walking out without shaking a head, and that pissed poor apology he put out that was probably done by ChatGPT. It was pissed poor. You apologizing to everybody. You don't even got a relationship with the staff. You didn't do it, what you did to the staff, you did it to Don Staley. You should have apologized directly to Don Staley. You apologize to UConn. You apologize, I believe he apologized to South Carolina as a whole. Why didn't you apologize to Don Staley directly? That's who you did it to. She was talking about being your butt. She didn't say butt. She said the cuss word. She you can see it. You if you read if you don't even have to be good at reading lips, you could see what she said. You had her fired up, what you did. It's on you, Gino. At least I assume you was a better man than that.

SPEAKER_01

I saw that video from I guess a fan on the other side. She didn't say it once.

SPEAKER_00

She's from Philly.

SPEAKER_01

Don't play with me.

SPEAKER_00

But I guess I'm already looking forward to whenever South Carolina plays UConn again. It's gonna be Much Watch TV whenever that schedule comes out. But again, congratulations to the Michigan Wolverines and congratulations to the UCLA Bruins for winning y'all respective national championships. And once more, for those winners of our bracket tournament, Q will get to you guys. Do not worry, you will receive your

Why The Masters Feels Bigger

SPEAKER_00

prize. But we gotta talk about another event that has a very big prize. You get a green jacket and you get a lot of money, and that's the Masters. So I know we're no, you see all the stuff that's coming up. You know, we we saw all these big events coming up in the Masters. One of them, I'm thinking like, huh, I gotta ask Q's perspective. I know he's not a big golf guy. I've been trying to learn how to play golf, but I'm still not a big, big golf guy. I watch it a little bit, trying to learn how to play it. But do you consider the Masters the Super Bowl or quote unquote WrestleMania of golf?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, without question. Yeah, honestly, I'll probably watch more golf than you think I did.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Um so yes, with that with that question, I think and this listen, this ain't no disrespect. This is no shade to the British Open, the US Open, and the PGA. Those masters don't, those masters don't I mean those masses, those those majors don't amount to what the masters feel to all the golfers, to the people who's watching it at home. The masters I'll watch golf on Sundays. The masters have me watching golf Thursday, Friday, turn time. That's what the masters do. The masters get you in all four days. I don't hey uh Augusta National, they do the presentation, the presentation they have, the thing, the stories you hear about when people go down there to the actual masses and how it is presented and how well it is the the course looks and how well the people are treated. The masses gives a different feeling, it gives gifts here, you know what I'm saying? It gives elite of the elite.

SPEAKER_00

It and the masters has crazy lore to it. It was established in 1934. To this day, no phones is allowed on the course. If you want to call somebody, you gotta use a payphone. From what I've read, they still have cheap uh concessions, which is incredible. Um, they have the that the green jacket we talked about. I said we mentioned the green jacket, but it's like one of the best trophies out there. They do a champion's dinner before where the past winner gets to pick what everybody gets to eat. Hey, I won. We're gonna eat what I say we gonna eat. It's just so much lore with it in the rules, and apparently it's like incredibly hard to get a ticket to get to the match. It's like you know, 1% chance just to get the opportunity to buy a ticket to get to the match. So it's so much lore, but I did check, I did tune into the masters a little bit for the first couple days. It was Roy McElroy, he was dominating. And then you know, Sunday, that's where that's where it matters, that's the championship day. Scotty Shepter was coming up there a little bit. Roy almost he almost choked it away a little bit. I will I ain't gonna say choke, but Scotty was coming. But Roy ends up going back to back. So congratulations to Roy McElroy for winning back to back and winning basically $22 million in your bank account and getting you another green jack. So what was your thoughts of the masters? And I'm assuming you tuned in all four days.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I uh yeah, I had watched, I watched all four days. It wasn't so Sunday, like we said, because he had a double bogey. I wasn't I was starting to expect Scotty Sheffler to catch him. At one point I thought Justin Rose was gonna catch him. But Scotty, because the way the last year and the previous years, the way Scotty has been golfing, the way Scotty Sheffler has been performing, I started to read the I was starting to look at the room like Roy went out to this big league on Thursday and Friday. You know, he came back to the pack. The pack came up to him. So I was thinking like, okay, cool, just you know Scotty Sheffield, Justin Rose, all these people is going to have the opportunity to catch him to you know win his master's end. Like Scotty Sheffield started to act like Boogeyman at hurt. He's starting to act like the man who's not he's not the tiger level yet, but he is heading towards the tiger level. He's heading towards being the boogeyman, like I said. So yeah, no, I uh I I really enjoyed the Masters. I am happy that Rory McElroy didn't, like you said, we don't want to say choke, but he didn't let the league go. I'm happy that Rory did not let the league go. But I think that being said, the next major, I think Scotty Sheffler gotta be the favorite, even though he didn't win this. I think he has to be the favorite.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, he 100% Scotty has to be the favorite. And while I'm gonna take the opportunity to apologize to Scotty as a Louisville native for what happened to you last time he was in Louisville, apologize to you for that. But yeah, um I will say, I know again, congratulations to Roy McRoy. I was a little disappointed that we didn't get Tiger Woods. He did say he was potentially gonna uh participate in the match, and then unfortunately he had this car accident with some legal issues. So I was a little upset with that, but it was still a very entertaining tournament. The first couple days it seemed like Roy was great, run away with it. You gotta tune in to Sunday because you never know what happened to Sunday. Hit that double bogey, Justin Rose looked like he was coming, Scott Sheffield looked like he was coming, but again, congratulations to Roy McElroy for the masters.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, I'm not sure when the next tour uh uh next uh major is, but I know it's May, and I wanna say it's the BGA, but don't because they the PGA used to be one of the US, one of them used to be later in the year, but when they did in the playoffs, they moved it up. So I wanna say it's it's the PGA, yeah. It's the PGA. PGA is in May, and the US Open is in June in the Oakland. Well, I'm sorry, it's not the British Open no more, it's time for the Oakland Championship. Yeah, it's in July.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you know, we'll talk about that. We'll see ones. We'll see if Scotty looks like he's been hot.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, nah. Yeah, I think uh I think Scotty's gotta be the favorite. Like I say, I think Scotty's gotta be the favorite, and that's not just about the Rory. I won't you're right. I wish we could have had that Tiger moment, even if you know he was he wasn't gonna be playing golf on surgery. It was it's always nice to see Tiger Woods play golf. Because Tiger Woods is still tiger. The reason I watch golf is tiger. So yeah, it would have been fun to have that moment to watch Tiger even for a little bit. But first of Tiger, hopefully he can get himself he get himself together so that way he can continue on having a life. Now, at this point, Tiger ain't a favorite to week, right? No. So you know, it's really just to see Tiger. We saw him in the uh and I can't think of the TFL.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, yeah, I think he's playing with his right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, with that, and no, I'm talking about the uh I listen to Tony Thornhouse. Tony Cornhouse called it the uh the golf sheet, uh golf sheet league where they hit it into the golf sheet. I think it's called I think it's called the TFL, but don't don't quote me on that. We saw Tiger in that like the in the championship in the last week of it. But it's just good to see Tiger still playing. But at this point, it's more so let's focus on him to his his health of his life.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. So they're going through a lot, but uh let's go ahead

UFL Overtime Rule Sparks Outrage

SPEAKER_00

and move on. We gotta talk about we're not gonna stay long on this topic. Unfortunately, um the UFL, the Louisville Kings, they are now 0 and 3, and nobody likes a losing team. So we're 0-3. We lost to the Orlando Storm two games in a row. But the last game. It's not even it's a bad, it's not just a bad look for the Louisville Kings, it's a bad look for the UFL in the whole. Um the Louisville Kings lost to Orlando Storm in overtime, but it wasn't like you know, this overtime thriller where you get a walk-off touchdown. We get a walk-off flag. There was a piece a PI. It was the second PI, but it wasn't the second, it wasn't the second consecutive. It was the second in the overtime period from what and because it was the second one in the overtime period, they awarded the storm the touchdown, which means the storm went. That's a bad look for the UFL. If that rule is still around right now, somebody needs to be fired because they need to change that rule. There's no way. I can understand if it was like two or three consecutive PIs. I can understand that, but just a second within the overtime period, that's how you're gonna end the game. And it's just a it's just a wet fart to end an overtime somewhat thriller. You was at the game. I I I woke up and saw the highlights and saw it ended that way, and I was mad.

SPEAKER_01

So let me let me say first, uh, because my cousin asked me uh first about the specialist like how the experience of the game. And it was it's a good experience, actually. I had I've never been in that the land stadium. I know you know what I'm saying, the soccer teams, the men and the women play there. I gotta get down there to see at least one of them, especially the women. Um, but I've never been in the stadium. The stadium's nice, it's a great, it was a great atmosphere. And like you said, even though the team was 0-2, it still turned out really good numbers. I don't know how the numbers is gonna look now. Like you said, that we owing three. It would and it also was a good game. Plumber and uh Bean, Plumber for the Orlando Stone, and Bean for uh for the Louisville Kings, they hey they put on a show. They put on a show, and I ain't gonna say the running back's name that for the Louisville Kings because he went to that school in blue, but he put on a show. Hey, he out there looking like Derrick Henry. I ain't even gonna hold you on a couple of them plays. I was like, dude, he said, dude, wait a minute. He he was he was looking good, dog. I ain't gonna stay so the atmosphere and all that was good. Now the penalty. I like so I do like the overtime where it is two-point conversions back and forth, it's on the same side, it's kind of like kind of like the college rule. I do like that aspect of it. The penalty, I get why it's in like the rule, I get why it's in place though. Because of the fact if you know you, if you know if you the DB and you know you beat, you could just you can just do a PI and then you we're gonna keep going over and over again. So when they explain the rule to protect having to, you know, give the defense an advantage for just you know keep drawing off sides or whatever the case may be, you gotta put those rules in place. I wish there was another way to do it. Maybe move the ball up to the, you know, instead of the two, let you move it up to another yard. I don't I don't know what the case may be, but I feel like they gotta figure something else out because, like you said, for that game, because it I'm not even not even just saying that because I was nervous. That was a really good game. It was a really competitive game. It's which that's the type of like you said, it's the to for the league to grow, those are the type of games you need. But for it to end on a web for it, no, you can't have that. I understand why the rules in place, but I think they need to figure something else out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. No, we'll see. Uh uh, the the Louisville Kings, they play the Houston this Thursday, so good luck to them. They need a win to get the fan base. I mean, fan base are is not going nowhere this season. They're still gonna rock with them. It's at first time, first season, they're they're probably a little bit more lenient. And it's football in the spring, it's different. But they gotta they gotta put some wins together. They can't they can't go over it. For sure can't go over it, especially if he wants the support of the support of the fans next season. So I'm hoping that changes. I hope the rule gets adjusted a little bit, but we'll see. But we got to talk about some big news. We

WNBA Draft Drama And New Deals

SPEAKER_00

got to talk about the ladies. We got to talk about some ladies that's getting paid. Because you know they got that new CBA. The WNBA draft happened. The expansions draft happened a couple weeks, uh, a week ago. Don't not gonna talk too much about that. We got to talk about these kids, these young ladies that's getting drafted. And before we talk deeply into the draft, we gotta talk about the number one overall pick. Oh, it was Miss Fud, uh, AZ Fudd, uh guard from Yukon. She was drafted number one overall by the Dallas uh Wings. Now, we don't really like talking about people's relationships on this podcast, but we kind of have to in this situation. Um, AZ Fudd, she is in a relationship with Dallas Wings' first overall pick last season. Paige Buckers. Paige Buckers is what we call her. And Q, I have to ask you. We talked about it pretty much right after she got drafted. I knew the draft was coming around. I didn't do too much studying. I was looking at because last year we knew who was the first overall pick was Paige. This year I looked at the coup, I think it was like three or four ladies in contention for the first overall pick. I looked at them a little bit. I knew AZ Food, I knew Olivia Mouse, uh, Miss Fam, our fam. I looked her up a little bit more than I did the other two. And I I was probably 30 seconds into her highlights. And I said, oh, that's first overall pick right there. And they said she was 19. Oh, that's first overall pick. So from what I saw, I saw the Dallas, apparently the Dallas Wings, they did what they did in free agency, they draft, they did what they did in free agency made allowed them to not draft best player, but a draft need, which they did need some catch and shoot. Three pointers. A catch and shooter, which AZ Flood is a tremendous catch and shooter. But how do you pass up on this 19-year-old for a catch and shooter?

SPEAKER_02

Thank you.

SPEAKER_01

We just gonna be honest on this podcast. That's what we do. You know what I'm saying? That's what we do on podcasts. Next guy is an honest podcast. You know what I'm saying? All of them. Ain't no respect for the course. Ain't no way I'm passing up on this 19-year-old female just for you to be with your girl. I'm just, I'm just not. I can't. I'm not a good GM if I do that. Now I get it. You want to make your star player happy. I get that. And I respect that. And I'm not saying AZ Food's not like a top, I'm not saying it like she's not a top three. She's not worthy of a top D. She's not, or she's not worthy of it ain't like they went and dragged somebody from the second round, first B, first overall because of Lush.

SPEAKER_00

Like I said, they didn't drive Anthony Bennett. They didn't drop Anthony Bennett.

SPEAKER_01

They didn't drive Draymond Green in first overall. You know what I'm saying? Draymond Green was in the second round. Respectfully. But that 19-year-old, like you said, you 30 seconds in. You watch my comments? Oh. Oh. Oh, she liked it. She liked it. She liked it. She's like that. I would have took I would have taken her. Like you said, they created moves. I get it, but I don't think you could pass up on a generational talent like that. Because respectfully, we know what AZ Flood is. We know what she is. We know what her game is. We know what she's capable of. The 19 year old, I'm gonna gotta keep calling a 19-year-old because I don't want to disrespect that woman if you pronounce that right. You feel me? I don't disrespect that woman. So is from Australia. When I read that name, I did not like Australia. Yep. But we don't know what her her potential, her potential could be the greatest WNBA player of all time.

SPEAKER_00

She look, she looked. I don't like making comparison, but she looked, she looked like uh Asia Wilson out there.

SPEAKER_01

You know how many how many MVPs Asia got? Like what we talk, you know what I mean? What we talk about? What I what I say last time we find Asia deserves to get paid more than the Max.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You got the potential to draft Asia Wilson in the left. That's just me. I don't I don't think it was a good choice. I agree. I agree. If she wasn't in the draft, then okay. But she's in the draft.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and like you said, I I know that's your girl. If if Paige Buckers was dating film, hey, I'm drafting her. She's the best player. I'm drafting the best player. It's like I said, if Phil wasn't in the draft, AZ Fuzz is probably the better player. Uh better player, but fits better than Olivia Miles. I believe Olivia Males, she had a potential to be first overall as well. She's, you know, really good point guard. But like I said, Miss Phil, I saw them a lot last year. She's a dog. She's blocking shots, she's getting steals, she's shooting threes. Post up. 6'4?

SPEAKER_01

6'3 or 6'4. I can't remember which one exactly. Well, come on.

SPEAKER_00

I think 6'4, 6'4, something like that. She they don't they don't grow on trees.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, bruh. What are we talking about? Respect again, respectfully. I'm not like we just talking basketball. We ain't talking nothing else. We're talking strictly basketball. You can't pass up on her.

SPEAKER_00

So, but um, I'm assuming you you believe, unless the GM just assumes Miss A Foot is just that much better. You believe her dating page was the reason she was drafted first overall?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And again, she is a top three talent. Right. Like it ain't yeah, like I said, it ain't like they dragged somebody in the fourth, they were supposed to go in the fourth round, first overall. They drafted somebody that was top three, top five talent. So it's it's not a reach, but man, I'm going with a 19-year-old phenomena early chance. I get six fours still blocking, shooting threes, ain't gonna develop? Come on, man. You in Dallas, too. It's the Hooper Flag, the feet, the phenomena 19-year-old phenomena that the wings had the opportunity to get the up the female version of the 19-year-old phenomena. Come on, man. I don't I said, but it's not a horrible choice. I just would have made a different choice.

SPEAKER_00

I definitely would have, but that phenomena, she will be up in Seattle, so I'll be interested in seeing how she develops and see how again we said it most of the time, she's 19. She might not be as polished as the rest of the players, but that ceiling is through the roof. So I'm looking forward to that. Uh before we talk about some other things that we like, I gotta, you know, we talked about the UCLA women's team coming right into it. Congratulations to them. They got the most players drafted. Six players got drafted, which is ridiculous. Uh Lauren Betts got drafted fourth. Uh Gabriel uh her brother plays for the Heat.

SPEAKER_01

Is it Hami Valquez?

SPEAKER_00

Well, his sister, uh Gabriel, uh Gabriella, I don't know how to pronounce his last name. I apologize. Uh Kiki Rice, Angela, uh, yeah, not trying to mess up your last name, Gianna Keepins, and Miss Leger Walker. Six players got dropped. There's a reason why they won a national championship. But six players is a lot. That's just 45 plus the sixth woman.

SPEAKER_01

Three of them went in the top six.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, they went four, five, six. That's crazy, dog. And all of them went 18th. Oh, the the last one went 18th overall.

SPEAKER_01

Oh long, you got six of them drafted in the first eight. Oh, that's one-third of the first 18 pigs was from the same team. Like you said. No wonder they won a national championship. They got all this pro potential on their team.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. So uh I just wanted to give them a round of applause for that. But I also um one of the bigger news, um, Felijay Johnson, she uh believe like a draft day trade. She is going to the Valkyrie. So that was uh one of the bigger news.

SPEAKER_01

It's Valkyrie or Seattle.

SPEAKER_00

No, she's a she's a Valkyrie, I believe.

SPEAKER_01

Valkyrie, I think.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Valkyrie.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's traded to go.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, uh, I forgot somebody pretty sure it's the Valkyrie. Let me check and make sure. I could be wrong, too. Uh I thought I thought she got drafted and then traded to the Valkyrie from what I was. So maybe I'm okay. You yeah, either way. You you might be right.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe let me see, let me see the man sent to you. So the C yeah, she went to the Seattle store in the world.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so she got drafted by the Valkyrie, Seattle, yeah. So see that that's what it was. Seattle, Miss Flag A. And you get Miss Pennsylvania. Man, Seattle about to be much watched.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, I I thought about I might have to speak a little team. Not sweaty.

SPEAKER_00

But I watched a lot of Seattle games last year, so but uh outside of that, uh, I didn't see notice anything really notable that caught my attention. But no, they had three rounds. Uh was there anything that caught your attention? Was there a player that got drafted? Well, okay. I'm interested in seeing how they play. Was there a player that didn't get drafted at all? Did you like, dang, they didn't get drafted?

SPEAKER_01

Uh the player I am excited to see is uh Kiki Rice. I won't again, we're talking about we're talking about UCL like Winter. You know what I'm saying? Like, but I want to see what she do with the uh uh versus team man with the tempo. Because it's the two the new the new team, is she gonna be the style player? How she's gonna handle being she's probably going to end up being the face of the uh expansion team. So I'm excited to see what she does and how she helps again.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, but yeah, but also we gotta talk about just free agency in general. We talked a little bit about uh about it with the Dallas Wings. They did what they could to put them in a position where they could draft best fit instead of best player available. In my opinion, from our perspective, you should always draft the best player available unless you have a LeBron James already at that position. But before we talk about free agency, we kind of knew this was the writing was on the wall. We talked about the issues that happened. She was not going back to that locker room up right in Chicago after what she said. She gets she gets traded to the Atlanta Dream. You I know you weren't shocked that she got traded, but no, how do you feel about Angel Reese going to the Atlanta dream?

SPEAKER_01

Like you said, it wasn't shocked about the trade. I like her in Atlanta because I'm just gonna say it like this. She fits the mode for Atlanta, and that would help the turnout for the Atlanta drink.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, they they already needed to buy them tickets.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say the tickets already in they got Renee Howard. I don't really like saying people that went to the school in blue, but I give her her credit. You know what I'm saying? They have uh they already have a talented roster. If you add Angel Reese, who doesn't have to go in there and be the star player, she could be one, she could be one of instead of being the focus. I think it's going to work out great for the Atlanta Dream, as well as Angel Reese. Chicago did exactly what she said, but they just did it without her.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But like then, we knew she couldn't go back to that library, so they had to start over.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, you know, some people getting some money. Uh Kelsey Plum, she got a contract worth for $999, $999,999. I guess they couldn't find that one dollar to get up to that mill.

SPEAKER_01

That contract, and I'm like, it didn't look, of course. I read she did it so the team could still have flexibility. Y'all couldn't give her that dollar to make her have a million dollar contract. Maybe it was a reasonable. I get like I said, it's for them to have uh financial flexibility, but you couldn't take a dollar from somebody else so that she could well, you know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_00

You gotta find it from somebody else. You can you can find that dollar on the floor somewhere. You can go to your couch cushion and find you four quarters.

SPEAKER_01

I don't, bro. I don't I don't understand. I looked at that and I said I don't understand it. And I read financial flexibility. A dollar? That one dollar is doing that much of a difference. Are y'all it are y'all in the luxury tax like the NBA her? What are we doing? Are y'all trying to not get the second April? A dollar?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I don't, I don't, I don't. That one didn't that one didn't make sense to me.

SPEAKER_00

Uh speaking of your team, the Indian Fever, uh, Sophia Cunningham, she's returning to the Indiana Fever on a one-year deal.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you know, you know what I'm saying? You keep keep your soft play happy. That's what Dallas did with Paige. That's what we're doing with Kaylin. You bring in her partner. I mean, not bringing her partner, you retain both of her partners, the people she rocked with the most on the team to keep her comfortable, to keep her happy. And then, you know what I'm saying? We had some we had some good additions. Uh last time story with a B, but I'll you know what I'm saying. I'm sorry, man. But I got her, we got her, got her coming in from I believe the Valkyrie last, she broke the Valkyrie last year. So I like overall what the people did. The thing that concerned me about the Indiana people is Kelsey Mitchell signed a one-year deal. We can't afford for Kelsey Mitchell not to be on this team. I'm just keeping it above. Hey, got nothing but love for Kay McClark. Got nothing. Love for Leah Boston. We can't afford for Kelsey Mitchell not to be on this team. So hopefully that was a what they say, you know, financial flexibility situation and she gets another contract next year. But yeah, we need to, she needed at least a two-year, three-year deal. So yeah, as far as my fever, that was good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, also signed uh Hans Island Heinz Island. Um he was with the Dallas Wings, Misha Heinz Island. Uh, we we've been pr we've been praising the team in blue a little bit too much. They signed uh Dana Evans, you know, former Louisville Cardinal. So signed Dana Evans, Louisville Cardinal. We've been praising that team in blue a little bit too much.

SPEAKER_01

Uh she the the I want to talk about this signing. Because she played in, I won't say she played in Mexico last year, or it might have been overseas, but I won't say it was Mexico. Uh Ch Chenny? Chenny? I don't know. I don't pronounce the woman's name wrong. Carter. If anybody knows from two years ago, she hun Kaylin got into it a little bit. Uh the law, she signed, she got signed to the Las Vegas Aces. She got Miss Carter got talent. She got the game, she got the skill, but she also comes with a little I guess we could say uh attitude problem, some would say. They call her a polarizing figure. I mean, I want to see what she does. Did being away from the from the league for a year change her perspective and change the mind frame and change the way she handles stuff, or she's going right back down, you know what I'm saying, doing doing some some you know some cheap shots or whatever the case may be. So yeah, that that's probably my most interest for me. The most interesting uh signing of free agents was Picarder to the uh Las Vegas with ACES.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Uh speaking of ACEs, Brinkstruck got backed up to the AJ Wilson household, three year five million supermax contract, and is all fully guaranteed is the largest WNBA contract in history. So, congratulations to AJ Wilson. Shout out to the uh ACES for doing right by their superstar. You deserve it fully guaranteed three years. A you earned every penny of it.

SPEAKER_01

She needs more, and I'm gonna keep saying that until she gets more.

SPEAKER_00

Well, oh man, but uh the season starts the third April May, uh May 3rd. Yeah, I was gonna say it's coming up. So the season is coming out around the corner. We're gonna find out. We're gonna find out how the Dallas Wings play with their new first overall pick, back-to-back first overall picks. We're gonna find out how this 19-year-old Phenom, Miss Film, and Flag J. Johnson, they gel together. That pick and roll might be nasty. Crazy. That pick and roll might be nasty. And we're gonna find out if Angel Wilson, the highest paid player in the WNBA, is still her. But we already know that, though. We don't even know why I even said that. Yep, what you said. So, but congratulations to all the ladies getting paid. I'm looking forward for the season.

Play In Chaos And Rebuild Talk

SPEAKER_00

But we gotta talk about now the NBA playoffs. Before we talk about the playoffs, let's talk about the play-in. The Heat played the Charlotte Hornets in a thriller of a game, but the Charlotte Hornets won basically uh on a game winner from LaMelo Ball. The Heat are out of the playoffs. Their season is over. It's crazy, they've been playing seemingly every year that the play-in has been a thing. But um, Charlotte, you think they got a chance to maybe make their way into the eighth seed? Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I would I would give Charlotte the I would give Charlotte the edge, no matter who they play. I would give Charlotte the edge. Uh I know Kyle Knippel got bitched because he, you know, I'm saying he ain't been he ain't been playing as well towards the end of the season, so they've been putting Kobe White in. And Kobe White ain't no slouch. Chicago go gave up Kobe White for a ham sandwich. And I don't even like him. I would put first a turkey. You know what I'm saying? Hey, it was a bad, it was a bad trade.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They wait, did they that's why they people got fired. No offense. It was a bad trade. And then y'all wait till nail on the rebuild. We ain't gonna talk about Chicago rebuild. But he gave up Kobe White for a ham sandwich, and the turkey's better.

SPEAKER_00

Um the trouble is they beat the Phoenix Suns, so they would be the seventh seed. They got a date with Wimby and the San Antonio Spurs. Uh, the playing games that are still that needs to be played today, I believe. The 76ers will play against Orlando. The winner will get the Celtics, the loser has a date with the Hornets. Winner goes home game. The other play in on the West is the Ghost State Warriors will play the Los Angeles Clippers. Winner go home. Uh, you lose, you go home. Winner has a date with the Phoenix Suns.

SPEAKER_01

You know, can we talk about the Phoenix Suns real quick? Go ahead. Just real quick. Just one quick second. Oh what do they do? Because Devin Booker, I was watching that game last night. Devin Booker's a damn monster, you know what I mean? And I'm looking at the rest of the team like Jalen Green. He played good. He played good yesterday, but is that who you really want to be? Devin Booker's running man? Mark Williams. Mark Williams is good. He's a nice circle of beast. But I get they're gonna turn into the Miami Heat and the you know the Chicago Bulls of the past, or they're gonna be up, they go Devin Booker's gonna be good enough to get you in the play in every year.

SPEAKER_00

Is that what you want? That's not what you want. It's weird because we'll talk about the little bit more. The Heat made it seem like we can go from the play into the NBA Finals because they did it. I think they did it twice. At least I know they did it one time, I think they did it the first time. But that's not you do not want to live in the plan. You do not want to live in the plan.

SPEAKER_01

Whoa, that's not the life you want at the end. What does no, respectfully? What's on that roster that anybody will train for me? Like Jalen Green's a nice piece. But how much you giving up for Jalen Ernie in that contract?

SPEAKER_00

So it sounds like we got a conversation. We we we was just gonna talk about the Heat in this conversation. We might as well put the Phoenix Suns in this conversation as well. Because both of them kind of is in the same boat. I think it was it's been a little bit longer since the Phoenix Suns. They was in the NBA finals. They they tried it, they tried with the KD stuff, it didn't work. The Heat, they was in the NBA finals. They had they had Jimmy Butler, they traded Jimmy Butler. They're kind of in the same boat now. The Heat's been in the play-in for a little bit longer. The Fiend Sun, they knew to this play-in life. They've been in it the last couple years. But both these teams might need to re-bit. Might need to go ahead and tear it down. You got Devin Booker, you got a Bamba de Bayou. You might need to tear it down. You might need to go ahead and start from scratch and get you start young, get you a new, get you a top five, get your top 10, get you a lottery pick talent, and build around them. You you might have to start over.

SPEAKER_01

Here's the thing with the with Phoenix, Daniel Booker's gonna get paid 70 million at some point on his contract.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

That's not easy to trade. That's not an easy trade piece. So to rebuild, you to re if you really rebuild, the person you gotta trade is Devin Booker for Phoenix. That contract's hard to move. As a word, with Miami, I really think listen, they're gonna go all-star, they're gonna go big uh big game hunting this offseason.

SPEAKER_00

They all they always do, but I could be wrong.

SPEAKER_01

I was wrong when I called it the Yukon invitational. But my feeling is Miami gonna go big game hunting and they gonna come back with nothing. Not a deer, not a duck, not a bird, not a pasta. They ain't even gonna come back with a pasta. Matter of fact, they're gonna come back smelling like a stunk.

SPEAKER_00

They don't have much to trade away to get a big game, to get a Giannis. I mean, obviously, it's the the the big game out there is Giannis. Then you got a John Morant. John Morant is good. We haven't seen him be super good in a while. I don't I don't think he's good enough to win you a championship, especially now with pieces of good pieces around him. It's those two. Who who else is out there that might be on the move?

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say, what else is that thing? My thing is, and I I'm I'll mention to the show thoughts. I think Maven needs to rebuild, and I think they need to trade David.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Because even Tyler Hero, like, I think they should trade Tyler Hero too, but I don't think you're gonna get it. I don't think you're gonna get that much back for it.

SPEAKER_00

Because they they think they can get Tyler Hero for Giannis.

SPEAKER_01

That ain't happening. Which is crazy. Only way that's gonna happen is if Giannis says, I don't wanna go nowhere else, I just wanna go to Madden. Because like with with the youth, with uh Jalen Green going to Phoenix, that's the trade they could make because of the fact Kevin Durant said, I don't wanna go nowhere else, I won't go there. Yeah, okay, I might as well get something back for you. I think they need to trade Bam. Where they trade BAM is a good question, and I don't have a I don't have an excellent answer for it, but I think Bam is the piece that you need to get that you need to trade. And you need to store it all the way over, and you need to be bad for some years. You need to get they signed Norman Powell, and Norman Powell's a great score. Great, great score. Does that move the needle though? Yeah, it's not. And I Norman Powell's your number three on your championship with the team. I think he's that caliber of a player where he is your number three. He's your number three. But is Bam your number one?

SPEAKER_00

No, I don't I that's why I know I think that's why part of the reason why Bam got a little hate for being the one to get 83 points. He's a solid player. He's not a number one on a championship team. He's not. We've seen what he's capable of as a number two. He's been to the NBA Finals twice as a number two behind Jimmy Butler. And Jimmy Butler's not even, he's a good, he's an elite number one, but he's an elite number one only in the playoffs. He only really shows up in the playoffs, and that's because he plays his his tail off. He's not that efficient. He plays great defense, and he can carry a team, but he's not one of them number ones that you're gonna think. He's not a Jordan, he's not a Kobe, he's not a LeBron, he's not a Wade in 06, he's not a KD, he's not one of those type of number ones. So you give Bam a legit number one, he can win a championship.

SPEAKER_01

But Bam is a number two. Tower Heroes are number three on the championship team. So it's Thomas and Patrol is known as Bell.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They missing that beast, and I don't think Giannis is that okay. Y'all can bring in Giannis. I don't you gotta give up something to give up Giannis.

SPEAKER_00

Do you think you think Jab Morant can't be a number one on the championship team? I haven't seen it. I don't think I don't think it's a lot of people that could be your number.

SPEAKER_01

You know what I'm saying? Number one's special.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Now, can he be your number one if a player, if he's a player that's like on his level, that's the number two as well?

SPEAKER_00

Sure. Bam. But I think Bim is close to close enough.

SPEAKER_01

Right. So no, you just made a great point. And no, maybe change my mind. Maybe change my mind ain't quite. No, I don't think he did it. I think I don't think I don't think Ja okay, maybe this is what you're thinking. I don't think Ja do it. I think he still has like he could get it back. I think he can. But I don't know if what you gonna do? Put Ja and Giannis on Miami? Do you does that put you in that put you in the playoffs?

SPEAKER_00

For one, it's not gonna happen. For two, Ja, uh are we keeping Bam, Ja, Giannis, and Bam? I could do something, but you're gonna have me and you on the roster if they did that.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say, because ain't no way, because neither Milwaukee or Memphis is giving up neither one of them, either one of them 50 something dollars. Like I said, unless both of them come out and say, I want to go to my ante. But even then, how you gonna make the money work? Because you're gonna have to trade Child Heroes. You're gonna have to have to trade what Hami Haskins. Really, the person everybody's gonna want is Bam. And then if them teams, what they got back, they're not gonna want Bam because Bam's gonna be gonna get you in the play. Yeah, then you you ain't really losing enough to change your what change the uh trajectory of your team. So I really Miami needs to rebuild, and the way they do it is trade base. I say they do it going younger because I don't think you're gonna be able to get enough pieces back to with a straight Tyler Hero or Norman Banner.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. They got to Pat Riley, he's been trying to get a big game for a minute, trying to get Dame. He ended up going to Milwaukee. He's been talking about getting John, they didn't make the pull the trigger, been talking about getting Giannis, didn't pull trigger. It's just not working, man. Pat Riley, you gotta do something different. You're getting up there at age, too. So I don't know. You might not want to rebuild, but you might go ahead and start that process for somebody else at least.

SPEAKER_01

The allure of Miami is cool when you're going down there to play a game, but being down there all the time, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

But we still gotta talk about the playoffs. I'm

Series To Watch And MVP Gripes

SPEAKER_00

excited for the playoffs. I had such a great time covering the playoffs last season. Shout out to Tyrese Hallibur. You have made a full-time fan out of me just from your performance in the playoffs. I was I like you, but I love you. Now, Tyler, uh Tyler uh Halliburton, uh Tyler, Tyrese Halliburton and Jimmy Butler, y'all, the way y'all performed in the playoffs the past few years, full-time fans for me. Unfortunately, we won't see no Tyrese Halliburton playoff basketball this year. And it sucks. But start April 18th, playoff start. Um, not everything is uh filled up. We still are yet to see who Boston will face, and we still have yet to see who the Detroit Pistons will face in the first round, and we have yet to see who was going to lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round. But outside of those games, which playoff series are you looking forward to the most?

SPEAKER_01

The most because of competitive is Minnesota different. Because Minnesota then goddamn, they didn't they goddamn was not so for competitive competitiveness, I want to see Minnesota different. That's the one I'm most excited about. For I want to see what this team does, I want to see what Boston does. Because I think at this point, I think Boston should be the favorite in the east to make it to the finals.

SPEAKER_00

I do, I do I agree with you.

SPEAKER_01

I think Boston should real quick sad to know Orlando Magic. Y'all played the Boston Celtics C team, y'all played they third strangers, and y'all needed that win and y'all still lose.

SPEAKER_00

Fell to the play-in tournament too, because of that. Uh the Hawks, the Hawks live in the play. They was ready to be back in the play in, and y'all let them out. Y'all let them in.

SPEAKER_01

And oh, we gonna hey, when Orlando loses, we're gonna have because let's be real, they're gonna lose. Yeah, when Orlando loses, we're gonna have a conversation about them too. We're gonna we're gonna wait. We're gonna be firm, but we'll wait and to see what they do in the playoffs as soon as as soon as that playoff series is over. That next episode, we're gonna have a comp we starting the episode with Orlando magic. Uh but like I said, competitiveness, I want to see Minnesota and Gimbal. But for seeing what the team is, I wanna see what Boston does. Because my opinion, the person who should win MVP, Jalen Brown, I'm gonna keep saying that even though I know he ain't, they got him finished in fifth. They y'all call this a gap year. They second in the east. Al Hart was gone, Drew Holiday gone, but it's again. It's a gap year?

SPEAKER_00

I didn't I didn't see them finishing second. I'll I didn't think they was gonna be playing. I I figured four.

SPEAKER_01

But he got them to the he got them to the second second overall in these, and y'all he ain't considered the MVP.

SPEAKER_00

What do we think about it? They got it. SGA, Victor, Luca, and Jokic, which great players. Great players. They did what we expected.

SPEAKER_01

Excellent point. Those teams did what we expected. Boston did the unexpected. And why Jalen Brown's not giving more credit? Any I don't know. But yeah, those is I'm only seeing Boston and then Minnesota and Denver.

SPEAKER_00

Well, uh, I'm I'm I'm definitely in this interest in Minnesota and Denver. I'm interested in watching playoff Joker play. He has been a treat to watch it in the playoffs. He's like a walking triple-double. Uh uh team-wise, I'm interested. You're interested in Boston. I'm interested in the San Antonio Spurs. It's kind of crazy how we see the San Antonio Spurs. They're not playoff tested at all. They've never made a D-run. It usually takes a team to make a their first year of being good. They usually don't do good in the playoffs. I remember the Sacramento Kings when they actually got good, they fell on their face against the Lakers, I believe, in the first round. And we thought they were going to be back, they didn't come back. It took OKC a little bit to find that groove to become a playoff dupe into the playoffs. It took the Golden State Warriors a little bit to find that groove back when they was good. And everybody is doubting the Detroit Pistons because of that. They don't have no playoff experience. Cade is coming off this, you know, scary little health issue. But nobody's questioning Central. They just assume they're gonna make a run. I'm part of that group. I'm assuming they're gonna make a run, even though they have no playoff scars. They've never been really battle tested in the playoffs. But I'm just assuming they're gonna be good, so I'm interested in that.

SPEAKER_01

Is that but that's because of Wimby, because Wimby's Wimby's a Wimby's an alien, so that's why we assuming that. I I think I don't know, man. I don't think I could pick Santa's on the other Delta Finals. Not yet. Because like because what you're saying, I feel like they need to be battle testing. I need I feel like they need to go because let's be real, but they've been bad the past couple years. That's why they had these double one overall picks for a reason. And then last year they only had 30 something wins. Wimbees are alien, but I do I do think the playoffs matter. The endurance, the mental, the game changes once you get to the playoffs, the intensity changes. So I don't I think they will win their first round. I think they will win their second round, but I don't know if I'm comfortable enough to put them in the championship in the final shit.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And then you know what? Ain't no guarantee they're gonna win that second round.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was thinking, like, I I that'd be I think that'd be Minnesota if it's Minnesota. Yeah, remember?

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say Joker's gonna put that man in the stance. You know what I mean? And that feel and man, no. As much as he the Wibby's an alien, but Joker, he is he a slender alien. Joker ain't no small guy.

SPEAKER_00

He's not uh other I mean playoff matchup I'm interested in is really just because it's LeBron versus KD. You get to see these two go at it again. KD, I feel like he he had kind of has his number in the playoffs, but he usually has a nice little team around him when KD has seen him outside his OKC days, but when he was at Gold State, he had LeBron's number. Uh the Lakers, they've been they've been solid in the regular season, but their defense has been awful. You need good defense in the playoffs. Luca is his McGrady's been averaging 30. That's why he's a MVP candidate. He's still he's still a chair out there, he's still a he's still a comb. And I think he's still dealing with that little ankle.

SPEAKER_01

You're gonna say Luca, that's the thing with the Lakers. That's why I'm not really excited about seeing that series, because I I don't think Luca or Austin Reeves play unless they get unless that series go to five, you know, six. So if not, second rounds, all right? I ain't really necessarily excited to see that, even though, like you said, it is LeBron and KD. But I mean, Houston should walk. They should. They should walk.

SPEAKER_00

They should. Uh we'll definitely talk about more when the playoffs is. No, sorry, it starts the 18th. So what next time we will talk, we'll be talking about you know the first couple games. But we didn't talk about Cleveland, we didn't talk about Toronto, we didn't talk about the Knicks, Atlanta. They're not doing much this year in the playoffs, so I don't even know why. We should talk about them. But those teams we didn't mention, you feel any of them can make a surprise run? I mean, I guess the Hornets are still in it. I think the Hornets can make a surprise. I am, I would I kind of hope the Hornets make the playoffs, because I would like to see Pistons versus Hornets. That'd be interesting to see two young scrappy teams go.

SPEAKER_01

But uh that would be a good matchup.

SPEAKER_00

Um those teams uh we didn't talk about 76ers. I'm not expecting much from them, regardless if they beat Orlando or if they if they play Charlotte, beat Charlotte. Not expecting. But any surprises you think potentially could happen. I think the Knicks got outside this is the Knicks. So the four the four or five teams I mentioned, the Knicks, I think they can make a run. I I don't believe in Cleveland, haven't believed in them in a while. We're not even gonna do that.

SPEAKER_01

We Cleveland is James Harden is James Harden in the playoffs.

SPEAKER_00

Cleveland is Cleveland in the playoffs since LeBron left.

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say Cleveland is Cleveland. They got two, they got two, they got two tall dudes, you know what I'm saying? And then Donovan Mitchell, he's gonna put up some points. He's gonna play a little defense. A little bit. Like I was gonna say, I wanna give credit real quick. You talked about Luca being a caller. I think Luca has gotten better a little bit. Imagine, he was God awful. So being better for me, okay, he's not a call.

SPEAKER_00

I think the worst thing Luca does is if he doesn't get a call, that's an easy bucket for his man. Yeah, but sure. Let him not get a call. That's an easy bucket. Just give it to whoever he's guarding. He's got an easy two, because he's not coming down, he's talking to the ref.

SPEAKER_01

Man, if I'm if Luca, if I know Lucas guarding me and I see him starting to look at that official crying, I'm gone. Straight to the basket. Hey, right here. Because then the defense got a collapse. I'm passing it out. You if you're gonna do that, hey, we're gonna we're gonna keep it moving.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm not sorry. I'm sorry. I'm not excited about the Lakers and the Rights.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Uh it's LeBron. I like watching KD play basketball. Sorry.

SPEAKER_01

That's cool, but it's LeBron, is LeBron in I was hoping. I was hoping you had some people. I know I I know I know Bronny on there. I know DeAndre A's on her. DeAndre A, you know what, DeAndre Aiden? This is your opportunity. You you complain when they could call you Clint Capella. You said you more than Clint Capella. That we're gonna go your opportunity to prove that you more than just a Clint Capella, that somebody could put faith and confidence in you to get buckets. DeAndre A, this is your opportunity. What you gonna do? All right, all right.

SPEAKER_00

So uh, but yeah, that is the NBA playoffs. Uh one more thing. Are you bold enough to consider the Western Conference bracket, the OKC invitational? Are we gonna are we?

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

We're not making that mistake twice. I'm glad we're on the same page. We're not making that same mistake, but again, the playoffs is here, the NBA playoffs here. We have a good time during the NBA playoff season, guys. Y'all know it. We y'all know it. We've the past, what, three playoffs? Been exciting. Last year's playoffs was really exciting with the Indiana Pacers. We had the Indiana Pacers versus the New York Knicks series. Very fun. Very fun. We had the NBA Finals, which went seven games. Looking forward to more playoffs. Again, a little disappointed. No Jimmy Butler playoffs, no Tyrese Halliburton playoffs. So somebody, please make a name for yourself in this playoffs. Is it Cade? Is it gonna be Donovan Mitchell? Is it Jalen Brunson gonna do it for more than just the first two rounds of Wimby? This is your time to shine. First time in the playoffs. Do some things. We know we know what SCA is gonna do. He's gonna get 30. Um, he's gonna go 9 for 20. He's gonna go to the line about 15 times. He probably gonna have about five assists, seven boards, and he's gonna have like 32. We know what SCA is gonna do.

SPEAKER_01

He listed a bunch of names. Uh is is this uh is this the year Jane Tarting make a name?

SPEAKER_00

I wasn't even gonna mention his name, but uh go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just wondering. Like, you know what I'm saying? Is it possible?

SPEAKER_00

It's possible. No, Jalen Brown, you have a uh you have an Eastern Conference Finals MVP under your playoffs. Yeah, finals MVP too. Got a finals MVP, so you know you're gonna do your thing. Somebody I want somebody new to make a name, though. So Wimby, I'm looking at you. Uh Donovan Mitchell. I mean you've had some good games in the playoffs, but you need to make a run. And man, you've had some good games. Make a run. We know what Joker's gonna do. He's gonna he's gonna give you a triple-double in his sleep. He's gonna go 30, 12, and 15. That's what he's gonna do. So looking forward to what other people will do. I need somebody to carry the playoffs like Tyrese did last year. Or Jimmy Bow has done in the past. Please thank you. But

Do Not Bring Replacement Refs

SPEAKER_01

Well, you already know the badge supported spell. Hey, real quick, NFL. You better not have no replacement reps. We're not doing that again. We're not NFL. We are not doing that again. Y'all better figure out how to pay these referees. Y'all get all whatever these referees want. Y'all better give it to them, give them their money, give them their housing, whatever they want. Give them their money because when y'all have replacement reps, what happened? Give reps back on the field A70. Y'all better figure it out. But yeah, we're gonna catch y'all on the next one.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, we
