Let us know that you are listening to us again. I don't know what episode this is. This gotta be like an episode 150, somewhere around there. I know we did that like episode 100, like a while ago, but it's close to like 150. But I'm doing I'm your boy Dion. Q, how you doing?
SPEAKER_01Hey man, what it do what it is. You already know the bad boy, Mr. Bell. Aka AK say your name up on the spot. My name should have mocked.
SPEAKER_00Hey, that's what I was gonna say. Best time of the year to be uh be in Louisville, Kentucky. Maybe, depending on how you feel or where you live at. Because it can get a little pricey around here. But it is Derby Week. The fastest two minutes in sports is what they call it. Um, me and Q, we live in Louisville, Kentucky, where the Kentucky Derby is held at Churchill Downs. I actually live like five minutes driving away from Churchill Downs. So I've seen it millions of times. Uh for the fact I've only been inside of Churchill Downs twice. That was one time with you and one time with my uh uh cousin that took me with his uh fiance. But it's the fast two minutes for I used to not care about the race that much. I used to really care about what it brought to the Louisville, because I'm the Louisville guy. But I do care about the rest a little bit more as I've gotten older, as I became a more of a gambling, you know, degenerate. I've enjoyed the race a little bit more. But uh there's a lot of horses in the race. I'm not gonna list them all. There's some great names on there. I am gonna mention the favorite is Renegade. He is a four to one, which you know, favorites sometimes they do this, sometimes they don't. But I also want to list my other two. Don't uh you know, bet with me. I'm just no going by a name and these uh numbers I like. And the numbers I like is 18. Further ado, he's six to one, he's third, and 21. My favorite number of them all, Gray White, he's 50 to one. I use uh one thing I usually always do is I always sprint a little bit on the guy that's like super last. It helped me out a couple years ago. But how you feeling about Derby? You like the race? Do you do a little gambling? What you do?
SPEAKER_01I gamble in the house. We do a house party, house pocket, house part. We do a one dollar pot, a five-dollar pot, and then I think we do a ten-dollar pot, uh, where we just started the ten-dollar pot. So yeah, you know what I'm saying? We gamble in the house, but actually on app, you know. Honestly, I I still to this day have never downloaded an app and gambled on an app. Say, well, besides we went to church of dance. But the church of Dales, I did a little bad app in gamble, and then when I had some money left over to my weddings, I gambled some more. One Saturday, I was just in the house. I ain't had nothing to do lost out of my dagger on bread. But that's why I don't gamble because I don't like losing money. But uh, so yeah, I always love the derby. You gotta watch two. I feel like you gotta watch the two minutes because we do gamble. We do two weeks of activities like tonight.
Picking Horses By Names And Odds
SPEAKER_01I was at the Drake Steamboat race. We do two on Monday, I was at the bear race. You do these two weeks of activities, you gotta watch the two minutes of sports. Yeah you know what I mean? I uh so yeah, now I'm definitely gonna definitely gonna tune into the race. My favorite name though, real quick, it's actually a scratch, but uh silent tactic. Yeah, that's my favorite name, but if the horse is a scratcher, the horse will not be running. Um six speed is 50 to 1 with the name six and with speed in your name, you would think you would be closer to the top, yeah. So if I was a gambler, I think I might put a little bit on six speed, uh just a little bit. Other than that, the puma, I do like the puma. See, that's the thing with the horse race. I I look at the names, that's why that's why I'm doing it. So uh, so yeah, no, no, that uh that's my favorite name. Chef Walla Wallaby, that's our name too. But it it the horses ain't the one. So yeah, I don't bet. Are you gonna bet on the Kentucky Oaks?
SPEAKER_00Are you gonna even look at Nah nah nah? I'm gonna be I'm gonna be busy Friday, I believe. I might no. I don't really check for the Kentucky Oaks like that. It's not it's it's it's it's the NIT of the of the is it the NIT?
SPEAKER_01He called it the NIT. Damn uh am I wrong though?
SPEAKER_00You didn't you didn't automatically be like I'm tripping. It probably just hit you like damn, that might be might be the NIT.
SPEAKER_01No, I'm like the NIT is wild. You feel me? We gotta make the Oaks feel like something. Let me look up his favorites because I we gonna we gonna get the Oaks a little credit. Uh the Oaks favorite is why did it pull up the Kentucky Derby? I said what's the Oak the internet is wild.
SPEAKER_00They probably don't even care, they don't even care about who's winning the regular.
SPEAKER_01Why did they pull up here? We go. Hold on. I think I got it. Do I get it for saying? Now they ain't even give me the bed noise. That's crazy. They ain't give me the horses nothing. The Kentucky Oaks deserve full love. Everybody out there wearing their pink and stuff and a different hat. They uh they they deserve more, but I put Kentucky Oaks predictions. Why does it keep pulling up? It keeps pulling up Kentucky Derby, multiple multiple articles.
SPEAKER_00Uh but I uh one thing I am glad though, it is not raining on Derby. It seems like it rains all the time for the Kentucky Derby. This year, it's not gonna be beautiful weather from what the weatherman is telling us. Yeah, but it ain't gonna be raining.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's gonna be cold, but it ain't gonna burn. So we take a lot of people.
Triple Crown Talk And Race Timing
SPEAKER_00So we're in it. I've I'm always curious on how the world perceived the Kentucky Derby. And a lot of people actually like see it as one of the big deals in sports. My biggest question, uh, that I kind of want to know is how does it rank among the other um triple crown races? I know Kentucky, uh, the Churchill, they bought one of the other they bought the uh yeah, the rights to preakness. Right to preakness. So I'm but for because I I don't even realize the other two have to be going on now. I wonder if that's the same with the other races, but I do feel like it's not that big unless someone is going for the triple, one of the horses is going for the triple ground.
SPEAKER_01That's that's I think that's the part. So you have an opportunity, everybody has is on the left same level playing field, they have an opportunity to go for the triple crank. Now the if what's I believe it's the freakness, the freakness is next. If the winner don't if the winner of the Kentucky Derby don't win the freakness, the Belmont fails falls completely there. Nobody faces, but if they if it's a triple crown opportunity, the Belmont does have have something special. But here's the thing though, we these horses don't these trainers don't really push their horses to go for the triple crown no more because you talk about this leisure. Um they don't sometimes they don't even run their horses in the preakness because in the fact it's a it's too quick of a turnaround, yeah. So then they they save them for the Belmont, which is don't wrong, Belmont still has a high payout because it's a big deal where it's at it's a big deal because it's it's a part of the triple crown, but they some of them skip the pregnant altogether and just train them for the Belmont. That's why they probably need to. We talked about like I said, we talked about the last year, they need to spread these races out. Yeah, have one in May, have one in June, uh have you know, saying have one in July.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I agree, I agree. But yeah, I'm excited, I'm looking forward to it. Uh, I got plans. I'll be you know in my in my pink suit, watching it, celebrating. Uh a friend of mine is graduating, so it's gonna be a
March Madness Expands To 76
SPEAKER_00good time for me. I can't wait, but we gotta talk about some negative. The NCAA, they they fixing something that didn't need to be fixed, they're adding something that didn't need to be added to. They're going from 64 to 76. The NCAA March Madness is going from 64 to 76. They're adding more teams in it. They're adding 12 teams. So instead of, you know, the first four is gonna be the first, what, 24 or whatever, how they're gonna do it? I don't, it don't make sense. People start, I know I talked to people, oh, it's gonna be good for the mid-majors and new spots ain't going to the mid-majors. They go into the Auburn's. They go into the they go into the the mid-power conference. That's all this is. So before I let you go, I pulled up. If the tournament was 76 this year, who would be in it? And listen to these med teams. NC State would be number uh 11th seed, SMU would be 11th seed, Auburn and 11th seed, New Mexico, 11th seed, San Diego State, 12th seed, Tulsa, 12 seed, Texas, 11th seed, Miami, Ohio, 11th seed, Indiana, mid, last year, 11th seed. Oklahoma, they was mid, 11th seed. Cincinnati, they was trash. They fired that coach. They fired that coach, exactly. Uh say Nall, 12 seed, and the 15 seeds, pretty much uh mid-majors, Rice State, Tennessee State, Firma, Sienna Howard, Leon, Kennesaw State, Idaho, Queens, LIU, UNBC, Prayer Mont View, AM, AM. So, no, the middle. But there was a lot of med teams in that first list of teams I listed. There are a lot of what they think there was like 16 and 14, basically 500 rankings. So I'm gonna give you the full Q to
Inclusion Argument And Mid-Major Access
SPEAKER_00uh put on your captain hater hat. I feel like I didn't hate enough because I wanted you to hate more.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so here's my thing, right? Because you know where I'm going with this. Well, not the press conference, in the like I said, the news release, the statement. That's the word I can think of. Statement release, it's talking about it was gonna be more inclusion. It's not these these new teams or these added slots, it's not going to go to your majors. It's supposed to be more inclusion. The word they used was inclusion. So if you go use the word inclusion, going off that list, you said we should not be adding Auburn in Indiana, we should be adding San Diego State, we should be adding Rice State, we should be adding Vermont. These is the teams that should get should get in on these extra with these extra picks. Why do I need if listen what I always say? Why do I need Auburn in the NCAA tournament when you couldn't win the SEC tournament? You couldn't win in the SEC. You was a men major in the you was a men team in the SEC. Why do we need you you already had a chance at your in your conference to win these conference games? You didn't win these conference games. Why we gotta keep giving you shot after shot after shot? You had opportunity after opportunity to win marquee matchups because of the conference that you play in compared to a right state, they don't have the same opportunities that that is allowed to armor because those schools don't want to schedule right states, they don't schedule mid-majors as good. They attempt to schedule mid-majors that are bad because of the simple fact it's like warm-up games to them, or they schedule other mid-major conference opponents, top tier mid-levels. These things, these uh SEC, ACC, Big 12, they not scale, they don't schedule them. Don't give me what is it? Uh it's going to 64 or the what? 76, whatever. 76, 76, cool. So that's 12 more slots. Don't give me eight more mid major compass. We're gonna get to them, right? Like let's just let's talk, span, span. We're gonna get to them. I want the rest of those auto, those um, those bids to go to mid-majors and lower tier composers. I wanted to go to your sunbelts, I want to go to your uh I I guess the PEC 12 or mid-major now. I don't really know. You know what I'm saying? I wanted to go to your Max, I wanted to go to your Horizon Leagues, I wanted to go to your Missouri valleys, uh the Ohio valleys, the ones in the West that I can't, the West Coast conference, the ones I can't think of. The sun, uh Sunbel. I wanted those extra bids to go to those lower level conferences. I know we're gonna get two of them, so this year we probably would have had Auburn and Indiana. Cool, but don't give me Auburn, Indiana, and Texas. Yeah, even though I know Texas Gadian, but I get the point I'm making. Don't give me those, you know what I mean? Don't give me that. And I also am a firm believer. If you go give me Auburn, Auburn needs to play Texas. Go play your conference opponent. I think that's what I think. If they're gonna add more slots and these major teams gonna have the opportunity to get in, you need to play your conference opponent in the first round. See if you see if you can beat them now, because you couldn't beat them in January. No. That's all I know. Because if they do it right, um, yeah, if they do it right, it's a good thing. Because from from my perspective, that's two extra days of basketball.
SPEAKER_00Uh it's gonna be in that first Tuesday, though.
SPEAKER_01Like, like it's just true, it's still the Tuesday Wednesday, but it's more basketball. It's gonna be on our day. That's the NCAA tournament is the best postseason tournament. It's better than the NBA playoffs. Don't get me wrong, I love the NBA playoffs. I love the NFL playoffs. NHL, this we never get to that Stanley Cup, but you know, I'll be missing because the playoffs be going on. But when the Stanley Cup goes around, I get there. Mm-hmm. All of them do their thing. But it's something about that march madness. It's exciting, it's basketball on all day. You get these crazy buzzer beaters, you get these, you get these wild plays, you get these upsets. Not as much as you used to, but you still get these upset. Give me two more days, I'm okay. But if you do it right, that's it's just gotta be executed right. If you really own the word is we're gonna use is inclusion, if you're gonna use the word inclusion, make sure you include these mid-major or these lower tier comments. Okay, it shouldn't be just two HBCU teams. If y'all talking about inclusion, you should be three.
SPEAKER_00It's not gonna be. We know what it's gonna be. It's gonna be them. 16 and 14 ACC, Big 12, Big Ten. Uh, no, it's gonna be them. It's gonna be it's gonna SCC's gonna be those those teams. And it's a shame. Uh, I hope this no, they're basically saying that it's the last step of them making it to 7-6. I hope they don't do it. I hope they change their mind.
SPEAKER_01That's what everything is money.
SPEAKER_00Uh, but
NFL Draft Grades For The Titans
SPEAKER_00let's go ahead and move on to the NFL draft. I'm gonna let you go first, man. How do you feel? Your Tennessee Titans got Cardinal Tate. How you feel about the whole draft? Well, this is how you feel about the whole draft as a whole.
SPEAKER_01Well, my Titans, I feel like I got I got mixed feelings. Because I like Cardinal Tate. I just maybe I had got, I think what it is with him is I had got it stuck in my head that Jeremiah Love was gonna somehow follow us past Arizona. I don't know why I got that in my head. So I when it wasn't Jeremiah Love, now I'm sitting here like, oh, that's what's up. Yeah, yeah, he uh yeah, yeah, he's cool, he's cool, he cool. But it it didn't have the same off. But I guess that's because I'm let down from a Jeremiah Love. If I had to give my Tennessee Titans a grade, which is kind of hard to do, I give it a B. Like, what we didn't have a third-round pick, we didn't have a fourth round pick. So we we had two first rounds, a second round, then we didn't pick again to the fifth round. I didn't like the offensive lineman, the center from ten uh from Indiana championship pedigree. We got the running back out of Penn State. So we got some late fans that I think is going to help the team. But like I said, man, when I didn't get Jeremiah Love, I kind of was like, Yeah, I mean, take cool my son now, like, oh yeah, I'm back on the Tennessee. I mean, Detroit's the number one, but I'm back with Tennessee, and I'm like, man. Because you know, he's an Ohio State fan, so yeah, yeah, yeah. He like, yeah, you know what I'm saying? He's gonna be good. Him and Kim, oh, it's gonna be special. And I'm just out here, like, I mean, yeah.
SPEAKER_00So obviously, you're not a big fan of Carnell. You you, I'm sure you like him, but I see the biggest issue with Carnell Tate to me and what others were saying, he's never been a number one. How you feel about that? He's never been a number one. I feel like it was a reach at four, respectfully.
SPEAKER_01I feel like we could have we could have got him at 31.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know about that. Okay, I would I honestly I I had Jordan Tyson in my right behind him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I would have rather.
SPEAKER_00So who would so obviously wasn't Jordan Love, who would you have rather gotten?
SPEAKER_01Uh just said the Ramsey battle of Arizona State.
SPEAKER_00Uh Jordan Jordan Tyson.
SPEAKER_01Jordan Tyson, thank you. That's what I would have rather had because I seek magic. Uh somehow I watch more Arizona State games than Ohio State Games is true. I don't know how that happened, but yeah. So I see I seen more of his ally plays. I mean, when I watched Ohio State, he didn't pop. If you know what I'm saying, the talents there, you know the talent is there, you know he's special, but it didn't pop, he didn't pop off the screen like your typical. You know what I'm saying? When you watch Randy Moss, you knew where Randy Moss was. Like, and I ain't even saying it's being a homework. Chris Bell, when you watched him, when he got the opportunity, when he got thrown the ball and got the opportunity, yeah, it popped. You saw something, he didn't get the opportunity like he should have.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's all another conversation.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it and to me, the problem I say, he wasn't number one, and I haven't I don't have an issue with number two, but the thing with number twos is what do you look like if the offense is not is focused on the defense is focused on you? Because every in going to every game last year, the defense was focused on Jeremia Smith. They let you go off Cornell. That's two bodies on Jeremiah Smith. So honestly, he's still a great player. I think he was still a first-round talent. I think he's still good. And honestly, picking a hard set receiver is like can't miss at this point. It seems like Mekko Buka, Chris Olave, Marvin Harrisman is still up in there. Still up in there with Marvin Harrisman. But so because I think he got the talent. I just think he got the talent, he just ain't show it showcased it yet. I don't think I missed that, though. Yeah, so we'll see. It's still up in there with what I think he's still talented. But for the most part, all I still receive was it's a hit.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, but I also know about Tennessee Tiny. Yeah, we we just went through the hey, you catch the the one you can't miss on, we the ones we miss on.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but
Cowboys Picks And Local Pride
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna go ahead and hit my victory lap. My cowboys drafted uh Caleb Downs. That's who I wanted, that's who we got, and I ain't gonna lie to you. I ain't care about nothing else after the draft. After we got, I thought so we got Caleb Downs. I didn't care. Draft was over. Draft was over to me. But the Cowboys did do me a favor. They did something pretty dope. They drafted Malachi Lawrence from UTF. Now normally I would have been like, all right, cool, no little defense in. Hopefully he's good. Turns out the man from Lore. Yep. Played right here in menu high school. So that made it even better. So the first round, we got killed downs and Malachi Lawrence. I didn't watch a single one of the second, second or third day of the draft. I barely watched the first day. So I didn't care. Now we did get uh Jason Barman, Drew Shelton, Devin Moore, uh LT Overton, and uh Anthony Smith received from ECU. LT Overton's a D-line from Alabama, Devin Moore's a cornerback, Drew Shelton's a uh tackle from Penn State, and Jason Barman is a linebacker from Michigan. I ain't care about nothing else. But congratulations to all the guys for being drafted to the Cowboys. They don't matter. We got Kayla Dallas and Michael Owens. I'm smooth. I'm smooth.
SPEAKER_01They don't matter. All
Rams First-Round QB Controversy
SPEAKER_01right, we talked about our team. We got something. Can we can we can we talk about the elephant in the room when it comes to the draft?
SPEAKER_00Go ahead.
SPEAKER_01The Rams taking uh Tom Simpson out of Alabama. But remind you, they said the reports came out that they called the reigning MPE, by the way, Matthew Stafford and said, hey, this what we got to do. I don't know. Listen, if I got the MVP. And uh drawing like on the name where I received it.
SPEAKER_00Hookinakura.
SPEAKER_01Hookah. Then they got uh Devontae Adams. Thank you. Devontae Adams, Hook and Cool. So your offense is solidified. Defense, they defense that's nice. They defense wasn't bad. The defense was good. But I feel like that's a waste of pick. He had he played what 15 games this year, and it wasn't like when he played those 15 games, like Anthony Richardson, right? He played one season in Florida, but the boy he's just a freak of nature out there on the field.
SPEAKER_00You saw the you saw the flash. I saw why I want to draft, but I can see why you could you could make an argument for why.
SPEAKER_01Were you a Super Bowl contender? The Los Angeles Rams are Super Bowl contenders. I feel like that was a wasted draft pick. I feel like they needed to draft somebody that was going to help them continue to get over that hump. You got again, you got the Rainy MVP, you got Devontae Adams, Devontae Adams, you got Kuka Nakura, he's going through the thing for that man, first for that man. But you got and you got and you got a good defense. Why not draft somebody to make it a great defense or continue to guard, build the offensive line, or whatever the case may be? Come up with something else. Okay, would have been there in the second round.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I'm a I'm um I'm gonna play devil's advocate. I would I didn't agree with the pick, but I don't disagree with it too much. Matthew Stafford's been floating playing with driver the last couple years. Last year, man, we didn't know if he was gonna play because of the back, and he turned out being the MVP. You might as well get that same back injury coming into the year, Matthew. But um is there anybody that they could have drafted that you think would have got them over the hump? Because they're there. Honestly, they was right there with Seattle. If they beat Seattle, they beat New England. They're right there.
SPEAKER_01You're right, they're right there. Here's my thing. I'm not saying don't draft him to I'm saying don't draft him in the first round. Okay, that's all I'm saying. Draft him in the second round because again, I think he's going to be there. Like, I believe Cornell Tables is gonna be there at 31. You say I'm wrong, I think Rover's gonna be there at 31. Okay, so we could have picked someone else. Hell, we could have picked uh what's his downs that y'all just picked up?
SPEAKER_00Caleb Downs, yeah.
SPEAKER_01We could have picked up Caleb Downs. We need all the help we can get on defense. So that's why that's what I'm saying. I'm not I'm not knocking them planning for the future because, like you said, Matthew Stafford could be his last year, he could give us two more years, he'll give us three more years. We do not know. I'm just saying, you right there. You was beaten in your division, the team that won the Super Bowl, y'all beat in the regular season. So you know y'all right there. Why not put all the chips in, push all the chips in and for this for the Super Bowl?
Draft Night Phone Call Chaos
SPEAKER_00Right. Uh I don't disagree. Uh, I do want to talk about something else that happened in the draft that was very, very messy. It's a very messy of my cowboys now. This reports, this is what I heard. I heard a couple different things, but pretty much uh Malachi uh Lemon, no Malachi, uh Makai Lemon, receiver from UST. Uh the Cowboys drafted at 20th, was drafting at 20th. The Pittsburgh Stills was drafting at 21. Pittsburgh Stills knew we wasn't drafting no receiver. So you know what they wanted to do? They went to go ahead and call Mr. Lemon. Hey, but go ahead and get your bags packed up. We draft you with the 21st pick. Come on to Pittsburgh. So it's the reports. I ain't a reporter, but it's what I read, is what I heard. I heard two different stories. One, I heard that the Cowboys heard that the Pittsburgh Steelers wanted Lemon or was getting ready to draft Lemon. They hit up, they hit up the our rivals for some reason. They hit up the Philadelphia Eagles, like, hey, we know y'all want a receiver. Y'all getting ready to trade AJ Brown. I throw us a couple picks, y'all can jump in front of us and get it. And I also heard where it was the Philadelphia Eagles that heard, oh, they get ready, draft lemon. Let's hit up the Cowboys to see if we throw them a couple picks, we can get in front of them. So but I basically heard it happened both ways. Not sure which one it happened, like, how it'll happen. If it happens the Cowboys' way, that's that's messy. If it happens the Eagles' way, I don't know how y'all, y'all got some y'all got some uh heavier uh leakers out there to get that report, but still y'all dumb for calling before y'all was even on the clock. That's y'all's fault. But how you feel about that situation, though? The agent had to tell him, hey, hang up the phone. The Eagles is about to draft you.
SPEAKER_01I'm trying to think of how I would feel in that moment. Like, I got a team calling me saying, hey, listen, once this pick is up, once this pick is in, you what we up, you with us. Just for your agent to be like, nah, good. Like, nah, this ain't it. This ain't the play. You going somewhere else. So you get your mind frame ready to live in one place and enjoy this moment going here just to find out, nah, change of plans. This is where you have to go. I honestly don't. I think I would lose the you know, you get you work so hard, you work your lifetime to get drafted. I think I would lose that feeling because damn. I thought I was going here, but now I'm going somewhere else. Like, oh. It's not like it would be like, oh. Like that's I think that's what I like to say, was like, oh, you could be like, I'm excited, the people around me is excited, and now everybody's confused because something it was a change place.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's all I can say is so how you feel if you the GM for the Pittsburgh feeling. Omar Khan, I believe this is his name. You high, I know you're high.
SPEAKER_01I'm I'm few. I was gonna say, but that's a lesson. Don't call your pit until you own the clock. Yeah, yes. Are you high? Are you human? Is it fatty? Yeah, but you gotta say this thing they fair. This is what they do. It's it's cutthroat business out here. It's a cutthroat business. Yeah, you gotta play, you gotta play the cards that's that's dealt to you. The other team, the other team just trying to get one over on you, especially like you said, they rivals. Yeah, I'm gonna try to get over.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, if I can stick it to anybody, I'm gonna stick it to my cow the cowboys don't like the stealers, and the eagles, just because they both in Pennsylvania don't like the stealers. So they both hey, the enemy of my uh the enemy, what's what's the saying go?
SPEAKER_01The in the friend, what's it the friend of my enemy is uh I don't get mean a lot.
SPEAKER_00The enemy of my friend is my friend too. I don't know how saying go. I will remember later on while I'm sleeping,
QB Slides And Nepotism Talk
SPEAKER_00but y'all y'all know what we're trying to say. Y'all know what we're trying to say, but yeah, that was some messy stuff. Uh outside of that, nothing crazy happened. Uh Diego Pavia, he would have undrafted, not shocking.
SPEAKER_01Why so many people surprised that he did like I didn't understand why people were surprised that he didn't get drafted at all. I guess because he finished second in the asthma. But if you look at his game and you look at his measurables, I didn't expect him to get drafted.
SPEAKER_00Nope, I didn't either. I didn't. I if anything, I figured that if I take a plier on him in the sixth or seventh, I didn't think he was gonna get drafted. Um, speaking of quarterbacks, your uh favorite quarterback going to last college football season. He fell, he fell, he fell hard, and he got drafted. The team is escaping me.
SPEAKER_01I know um uh smyer. Yeah, the team is escaping me. I forgot I forgot we uh I thought you were about to say Miller Mouse Right. We like, I mean don't don't be funny on this pod. You know, dag on well, I ain't like Miller Mouse. Uh I know Miller Mouse got a uh he got a spring training camp invite. Like you said, the team, the name of the team is established, but yeah. Uh this draft wasn't really heavy on quarterbacks, it was Finn Do uh Finn Dozer.
SPEAKER_00He got drafted by the Chiefs, which is funny enough, he might get a chance to play too with Patrick Mahomes being out.
SPEAKER_01I was gonna say he might be able to play the first couple games because they believe Patrick Mahomes is coming back. I don't see it. I think he's gonna be at least the first line, but I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, he's not he's not playing. He to me he's got the first line. I wouldn't let him play the first money.
SPEAKER_01I wouldn't either, but I'll imagine I've been talking to I'm talking to Kansas City Chiefs fans. They think he's playing because the fourth is coming out, he's progressing fine. He's progressing at a schedule. He's gonna be ready for opening night.
SPEAKER_00You might not play, he's not playing the first man. And depending on how the first four games go, we might be playing on the season. Nah, I can do that with Travis Kelsey coming back.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna say Travis Kelsey is his last year for sure. We can't do that, we can't do that.
SPEAKER_00But uh, but uh yeah, uh Gary Dusmire, he he he fell. He was talked about being top 10 pick, fell to the seventh round. Kind of crazy how these things are going.
SPEAKER_01But he had he had a down year. I think he fell kind of like you said, I think he failed. Even though he had a down year, I still think he fell a little too far.
SPEAKER_00A coach, uh, not just any coach's son, an NFL office of coordinator's son. That's just crazy. Like, you usually think nepotism would come in ahead a little bit like, dang, seventh round.
SPEAKER_01Maybe that's what got him drafted through. Maybe he was supposed to be undrafted.
SPEAKER_00Good point. But I thought he was at least that bad. Fifth late. Fifth at the latest.
unknownFourth.
SPEAKER_01Fifth round. Here's the other thing, though. How many teams just take the players on quarterbacks then?
SPEAKER_00No, you're right. Yeah, because the the I know the Arizona Cardinals is pretty hot about Ty Simpson drafting early. They probably thought they was gonna get him in a second. They end up getting um uh Carson Beck. So you take Carson Beck and the Cardinals are fit with Jeremiah Love in the backfield.
SPEAKER_01Hey, you seen my face as soon as you said it.
SPEAKER_00Uh uh Bo Pavula, I believe he got drafted. I like him a lot. He was my Heisman favorite. Uh I shitted on Q a little bit. Yeah, I shit on my Heisman favorite. He he failed pretty hard. He got drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Where he might get a chance to play, depending on where Aaron Rodgers is gonna go.
SPEAKER_01So Aaron Rodgers is coming back. It just ain't been listen, I think he's coming back. I'm saying it ain't been announced yet. Aaron Rodgers is, and I don't even think I don't this time he was giving Aaron Rodgers like is when he's gonna announce it, announce it. I don't think it's one of those situations where he's drawing it out. I really think he probably already told Pittsburgh, like, yeah, I'll be there. And because Pittsburgh, I forgot him. I just read it like a couple days ago. They put some type of tag on him where they have the rights to Aaron Rodgers, and he also gets a raise next year. Yeah. I think it's a 10% raise.
SPEAKER_00All right, you're right. But yeah, the Garrett Nutsman, I think, was just wild to me because he was like projected top five pick
ESPN Critique And Player Moments
SPEAKER_00one year ago. Crazy how one year can change everything.
SPEAKER_01Oh, real quick, uh, Ruben Bain. Is it Bane? I believe it's that Ruben Bain Jr. out of out of Miami.
SPEAKER_00Doctor by the Temple A Bucks. Yep.
SPEAKER_01Michael Irvin made a point to talk about how ESPN kept talking about his short arms, and this is supposed to be a highlight moment for him. And you keep talking about why he why his draft stop failed instead of talking about the type of player that he is. And when Michael, Michael Irvin made it a solid point. This is supposed to be his moment. He don't want, he gotta watch the take back up where y'all was talking bad about him. Is that why he failed because he got short on? Yeah, probably so. But he's the same. He played at Miami, it wasn't like he played at just um and he was the he was the face of that Miami defense, too. It wasn't like he was doing this at Troy, no disrespect to Troy, you know what I'm saying? It wasn't like he was doing this at Works in Kentucky, he was doing this at Miami, they played a national championship game. I was gonna say a team that went to the national championship game, and again, the face of that defense.
SPEAKER_00He wasn't just no regular Joe on that defense, he was the face. He's gonna be motivated, somebody's gonna get hurt.
SPEAKER_01That's all I'm saying. He's gonna try to wallop somebody.
SPEAKER_00I do think they got they got them a good one. Uh, but yeah, NFL drags here, uh, the basic rookie mini camps here. These players are starting to uh come back from Cancun and starting to report to their teams. Hey, football season is close. I was thinking earlier today, man, I can't wait. Sunday night football have my adopt beverage. Man, I just can't wait. I can't wait. I'm looking forward to it. But at some time, right now we're getting
WNBA National TV And Caitlin Clark
SPEAKER_00ready for the WNBA season. And some breaking news dropped. You know, Indiana Fever. Every single game will be on national TV. That is press at is crazy to think about. WBA team will have every single one of their games on that TV. That's usually the Lakers don't even get their use. No, they got a lot more games.
SPEAKER_01I was getting ready to say, that's not fair. They have more games. It is also in the rules that they can only be on TV so many times. There's no rule. My bad, go ahead, finish. I I was about to go. I don't have to go. My bad.
SPEAKER_00But go ahead. The Indian Fever every game. Now, now I know you're a fever fan, and I understand Kaylin Clark. She's the money. She's not just the money for the Indian Fever, she's the money for the WNBA. But do they deserve to have every single one of their games on national TV? Or, like, no, Asia Wilson, she's she's the superstar of the league. She might not, she's not Kaylin Clark popularity-wise, but she's the best player in the league. Wouldn't last Vegas Aces maybe get every game on national television? I'm gonna let you go.
SPEAKER_01Okay, let me let me ask you. You you would you ask that question? It was something you said. Caitlin Clark is the what?
SPEAKER_00The money, the money.
SPEAKER_01What's many corner has taught me something long when a long time ago when I first started listening to his podcast. The answer to all your questions is money. Why is the Indiana FIFA on TV every single national TV? Money. WNBA signed these media rights contract. These media, these media companies won't they get their money, they want to get their investment, they return on their investment, they won't get their money back. Best way to get your money back with Kaylin Clark on TV. Caitlin Clark got people flying from Japan to China to come watch our play. She puts butt Dion, she puts butts in seats. When the fever come to town, people go play at the big the bigger arenas. Why can't she be on TV more? And don't give me uh the WNBA guy, he's on TikTok. Shout out to him. And I know most of the time I'll be agreeing with him, but I ain't agree with him on this. The fever deserve to be on TV every game because they bring in the bread, uh it's all about a dollar at the end of the day. Dallas is second, why? Page buckets, yep, yep. Page buckets is the next superstar, New York Liberty, next, why? Because they in New York, yeah. Las Vegas ACES is four. They got 33 out of their 44 games, they got 33 on national TV. So only 11 of their games is not on national TV. The New York Liberty, 35, the Dallas Wings, 36. Even um now, the one that I think is kind of low is the Minnesota Lynx. But me and you and other WNBA fans, we watch the WNBA kind of frequently, or well, kind of frequently or frequently. We see, we see uh Naki Chicago. We know what the type of uh we know what type of player fee is. They might not know the the casual WNBA fan don't know what type of player fee is. So in the way she be, I ain't gonna lie. When she when she plays Angel Wilson, she takes it personal. She takes it personal. But that's a whole other conversation. I think they should be on TV close, like you know, 32, 33, but they only on TV 28.
SPEAKER_00Uh where's the where's the Atlanta Dream at?
SPEAKER_01The Atlanta Dream 28.
SPEAKER_00Okay, that's that's good to buy.
SPEAKER_01They on they on TV, oh they on TV the same amount as the Minnesota Leaks.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Seattle Storm, Phoenix Mercury, Minnesota Leaks, go to State Warriors, Atlanta Dream. Chicago got them down a game, but I think that had to do with Angel Reese. Angel Reese is a walk of there. Yeah, they I think a lot of this was already planned out before that trade happened.
SPEAKER_00So they had but if they if they was Washington Way, they would have known that she was not playing there this season.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, she ain't she and they should have known she wasn't gonna be there.
SPEAKER_00Um, so who is there last? Washington Mystics. Okay, they bad team. That's why.
SPEAKER_01Washington Mystics, Toronto, Temple, Connecticut Sun, Port La Fire.
SPEAKER_00So some yeah, Portland Fire is bad, Washington Mystic's bad, the tempo's new.
SPEAKER_01And then Connecticut's about to move to Houston next year.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, Houston, uh, Houston is excited about them getting their team back. I don't see I don't see why they left him to begin with.
SPEAKER_01I don't either, but uh I seen Charlotte. They trying to get the they trying to get their team back. Well, they're trying to get the Charlotte's team going. Can we get the Louva team up on please?
SPEAKER_00Some somebody do a brother up fame. That's all I'm saying. Yeah, hey, I'll be trying to go to a game or two. But yeah, WBA season is coming up. I know they're doing the preseason stuff. It's crazy that quick turnaround that some of them rookies had to go through into the tournament, straight to the WMBA draft, straight to the WBA season. But I get paid the big bucks now, ladies. Strap up your boots, get ready to go to work.
NBA Playoffs Reactions And Pressure
SPEAKER_00We gotta talk about the NBA playoffs. I've been locked in a lot, especially to the um San Antonio Spurs uh Trailblazer series. I've been watching that. I watched every single one of that series. And I gotta say, I like to pull the Trailblazers a lot. I think they're gonna be a sneaky good team next year. But we'll get to that a little bit more. Um we gotta talk about the Detroit Pistons and the Orlando Magics. Orlando must have heard what we said about how we was gonna talk about them if they fumbled this way. But they they they are showing that the Detroit Pistons may not have been ready for prime time, but they have a 3-2 lead over the Detroit Pistons and the Pistons won today. How you feeling about that series? I mean I'm sure you don't believe neither one of them teams can win a championship, especially now how the Pistons have looked, even though they're the one seed. But how are you feeling about how that series is how do you react if you're the Pistons and you don't win this series?
SPEAKER_01Okay, so this started okay, let me read. We was already throwing Orlando under the bus.
SPEAKER_00You you was I was gonna I was gonna throw I was gonna help you, but you was you was the lead on it. I was the lead.
SPEAKER_01First off, let me I tried to walk it back last week a little bit when I remembered that uh Wa Wagner Wagner Wagner had a bunch of injuries. He missed 47 games. He missed 40, I'm gonna say 45, 47 games. I tried to walk it back a little bit. Let me just go ahead and apologize to the Orlando Magic. Y'all have proven that because they had the better talent, but they didn't play like it throughout the year. But y'all, y'all got the number one seed on the roads 3-2. Y'all could have closed it out tonight, which I didn't. So it's gonna be uh it's gonna be a game, uh game six. If Detroit loses this series, do they fire their head up? No, you he I don't think you do, I think you running back, but in all fairness, he did get fired from Cleveland when he was at when he had a good team. Yeah, they didn't see him as a I can get you over the hump.
SPEAKER_00So I'm just saying. I'm leaving it. Hey, you run it back, you add some pieces, you don't do no, we're gonna talk about this team a little bit, you don't do what a Houston do and tear it down for a superstar. You you you let this team grow together. Let this team grow together and you'll for improvement. Now you probably don't expect a one seed next year, but expect at least a second round. Get to the second round, be don't get blown, don't get swept in the second round, but get to the second round. Hope for some improvement. So you run it back, they're a young team. Me and you both, and I'm sure a lot of the media, a lot of the people that watch basketball, didn't feel like they were gonna do much anyways in the playoffs. So I didn't think they were gonna get a lose in the first round. I felt like they could possibly lose in the second round. Didn't think they was beating who we thought was gonna be no country promise, the Celtics, especially with JT back. But no, you running back. You know, don't please don't blow it up like the Houston Rockets did, because now they're they're probably regretting it right now.
SPEAKER_01Okay, but I think Houston Rockets is regretting because in fact they traded for an older guy. He got injured, and also he was on Twitter talking bad about his teammates. I think that has a lot to do with what's some of the Houston problem. I think also Fred Van Bleek got hurt. If Fred Van Bleet wasn't hurt, I think that's a different outcome. Okay, or if they went out and got a point guard knowing that Fred Van Bleet is hurt, I think the outcomes, I think that the outcome is different, right? Uh all I'm saying is we have a track record of them of this head coach in particular getting fired when the team, when the organizations don't think he can get the teams over home. That's all I'm saying. I ain't seeing the man deserve to get fired. I'm just saying there's a track record of him.
SPEAKER_00All right, let's uh let's go back to the West.
Wolves Nuggets And The Joker Question
SPEAKER_00Let's talk about the uh Minnesota Tim Wolves and the Denver series. Uh Denver, I mean the Wolves, they got a nice little lead. They was up 3-1. Uh Denver won the last game. But the Wolves is down. Dante Dimension Joe, Prayers up there. He toys the Keeleys. It's it's it's crazy. It happens a lot this year, the round chair. I'm gonna hate it for him. And then um, he uh hyper said this knee. You still I I I think Denver can pull this off, pull this comeback off, right? You you feel you with me too, or you do you think because Rob, what was it? Was it Rob Dillonham? Rob Dillonham put up 40. He gave him 40 piece. You think unless he got that in him again, I think the nuggets can pull it out.
SPEAKER_01It was Io, it was Io. Io Defuma put up a 40 piece, that was in what uh game four. Um okay. What did we talk about? Well, we talked about this series to begin with. Was okay, Julius Randle, what are you going to do? All you need to get to win this series should be one game. Can Julius Randall carry them to one game? I think that's what the question is about the series, and also can we have an honest conversation about Joker so far? Yeah, go ahead. Does Joker not look like the Joker we used to this playoffs?
SPEAKER_00He had a good game last game, but that was a good he's been turning the ball over a lot for some reason. I would have been like, What are you doing?
SPEAKER_01It's because he gets into a hurry to get the get the ball up the court sometimes, then he's just turning the ball over. Um he don't even look like the Joker from the regular season this year, and it just seemed like I don't know if Minnesota's in his head, if he's in his head. I don't know what the situation is or whatever the case that's going on, but all I know is something ain't add enough. And I'm trying to figure out what that something is.
SPEAKER_00I don't know, maybe he's getting bored. Maybe you know he felt like he he he senses that it's the Kentucky Derby season and he wants to watch some horses race.
SPEAKER_01He ready trained his horses, yeah. I don't know, but not for real. I don't know what it is with the Joker. He might be checked out, he might be ready to go kick it with his horses overseas. He might be trying to fly the Louisville and be like, all right, man, I'm trying to watch the race. Yeah, he might be. I don't know, but uh I it to me it comes down to Julia Frank. Rudy, Rudy is playing, it might be Rudy. Let me let me say that it might be the defense that Rudy go bird go bear, how are you saying, man? How how how the defense that he's playing on Joker, because normally Joker be giving him that work, Joker ain't really gave him that work this series. So maybe it has something to do with Rudy. Is that the possibility? I mean, but I think for them to close this series out, it's going to come down to what Julius Randle can do. And I don't know about you. I don't know how much faith I got in Julius Randle being the one.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't get especially with Joker and Jamal Murray on this hide. Don't don't got faith in them.
SPEAKER_01And you know what I'm saying? And no disrespect. Well, not let me not say not disrespect, but shout out to Iowa Sumo because of the simple fact. I was questioning why Minnesota got him instead of Kobe White from Chicago. My bad, bro. Put up, like you said, bro put up 40 points off the bench. He put up 20 something off, he put up 24, 26 to game four off the bench as well. He's gonna have like you said, he's gonna have to do that again on top of what Julius Runner can do. You talking about Ron Dillingham, he's coming off the bench. Uh, you're gonna have to put up like 15, 20 points as well, too. The score has got to come from somewhere. I don't think it's gonna come from JD McGains because he's in his head so much because he don't like he don't like devil. I mean, he's not that don't like devil. No, he so he he's gonna end up taking himself out of the game with him doing what he could potentially do just because the fact he don't like them. You can have all the hatred in the world, but can you motivate, can you capture that, can you harness that hatred in the right direction?
SPEAKER_02You're right, you're right.
SPEAKER_01We already see that he can't because he likes to do layups with one three though.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, speaking of that, there was no um nobody got suspended for that scuffle that they had. Um finish out the West real quick. Uh obviously I've missed the spurs. They beat the Treasure Brothers. Trevor Burrus look good. We'll talk about Trust Brothers in just a quick second Thunder Swept the Suns. The Lakers are leading the Houston Rockets 3-1. Any faith in the Houston to come back and beat beat the Lakers even without KD? No. All right. We're gonna move on back to the East. New York Knicks. You said that um the Hawks wouldn't win another game. They won another game, but the Knicks lead 3-2. The Knicks, they was in shambles for a little bit.
SPEAKER_01But I was gonna say, them first couple of games, it looked like New York didn't New York didn't want to win. Yeah, it looked like New York did not want to win. They looked like they would just have to play and hopeful for the season to be over. And all I think it might be because they all like the ghost. Yeah, but don't be hey. They lose this first round, Mike Brown getting five.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I agree. Uh the Celtics, they leave the seven-sixers three to two. Um, Joel MB, he looked good last game. You know, he came back from uh no the uh epidemic he did he had. He looked good. I don't have faith that they beat the Celtics, though. He looked good last game because he looked so bad the game before that.
SPEAKER_01He was just throwing up shots, just trying, and I I guess he was trying to get himself into rhythm, but you took your team out of rhythm. Yep. I really thought that series was gonna be over, but then you gotta remember this is what Boston do. Boston, Boston be effing around. Yeah, they be playing Boston, the Boston stuff can play with their food. I don't know what it is about Tatum McBround, but sometimes they all be having that killer instinct in let me go in this series so we can rest. Yeah, they that series should have been over, should be maxie, cold with it, and B, when he's healthy, cold with it. Paul Jorge is a professional sport. You got BJ Edgecomb had a had an early push for rookie of the year. You don't want to give I just named four dudes. You don't want to give that team light, you don't won't let them see light at the tunnel. Oh, we gotta close the door when it's time to close the door.
SPEAKER_00You right? Um so all the series in the east is 3-2. Um the um Nuggets Timwall series is 3-2, the Lakers and the Rockers are playing right now, the Lakers League 3-1. How many of these series do you see going to seven?
SPEAKER_02I think Detroit and Orlando is gonna go to seven. Yep.
SPEAKER_01I think if James Harden keeps playing the way James Harden's playing, Cleveland, Toronto is gonna go to the seven, and I didn't think that at all. Out of all of these series in the east, I thought that was the most potential for the Sweden. Because even though even though I was down on Orlando, I still thought they were gonna win the game. I had no faith in Toronto whatsoever. Like what and I and to be honest with you, even if they beat Cleveland, then you think I gonna win in the second round? So I definitely don't have faith in Toronto winning the second round. So if James Harden keeps playing the way he played, that game, that series gonna go seven. I don't know what's up with James Harden to the playoff.
SPEAKER_00Yeah,
Should Portland Trade For Giannis?
SPEAKER_00uh, but yeah, I'm we're excited about it. Uh, but we got some other things to talk about. NBA turn-wise. Uh, I sent you a trade idea. The Trailblazers to get Giannis onto Kapupa. How do you feel about the trade? One and two, do you think that will make them a championship contender?
SPEAKER_01Okay, so then what would be included in this trade is Shaden Sharp. Oh well, school headers of Shane Sharp, Chris Murray, Matic Matisse Navel, uh 2028 first round, 2029 first round. We would do a 2030 reversal of prior first year swap and 2021 protected first round. Why is it protected? I do not know. And then 11.9 million trade deception. It seems like a lot. Look, the singular to me might be the 2031. If I'm Portland, I don't want to detect it. Just give me the first round draft pick. If I'm Milwaukee, I don't even think I need to really give Y'all the first round draft because Giannis ain't no spring chicken though. Well, we got we gonna get three more solid years out of Giannis, then it's gonna start going downhill. So why would I I don't won't give you my 2030? My 2031 is probably the best for you wise, but I need to hold on to that because I'm only gonna get three years out of dude. Uh I think if I'm Portland, I do, but if the trade is how the trade is right now, I think if I'm Portland, I think I go ahead and do the trade. You got Drew Holiday. You already know how Drew and Giannis are playing well together. Then you got Diddy, Diddy Ogni, uh, uh, Diddy Holly, Ogni Bion.
SPEAKER_00He look he looks good though. He looks real good.
SPEAKER_01Hey, I'm sorry, man, I can't pronounce your last name. But Denny, that's a in the West, they're still probably third.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's the reason why I wouldn't do it. I don't think I'll make it third. The West is so damn deep, bro. Like Morg is my future. I think you just let your team grow, and hopefully they can compete with the OKCs and the Cinema Tennessee, because they're not going nowhere. But I just hope they let them grow. That's it. But I don't know, it's tough. Because you don't you don't want to be like punt on seasons like you're not gonna win a championship, but I don't know. It's tough. I'm I'll have I would have to sleep on it. Depending on what my team's uh pocket, what my team finance was, I would do it because that would definitely put more buttons and seats, put more eyeballs on your team, but it's tough because I think the Port of Trovis has a pretty good team. And um shout out to uh the coach's name, former player.
SPEAKER_01Uh um uh The Auto Splitter, Biago Splitter.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, shout out to him, man. He uh he got like you said, got put in a tough situation. Looks like he was the engine coach, he'll probably be the uh full-time coach.
SPEAKER_01I don't know, because the problem is they don't wanna they don't wanna pay him. They won't pay a head coach one or two million dollars when the average salary is five million.
SPEAKER_00After what that man did, he's gonna have him a job next year.
SPEAKER_01They didn't even have the two-way players flying with the team until game uh game five. They they told him, nah, yeah, we don't need y'all.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they're probably if that if that's how they move in, they're moving funny with their money, they're gonna make that trade because they're gonna get a lot of money with Giannis. Like that's stupid. Let's move on.
New NBA Anti-Tanking Rules Debate
SPEAKER_00Let's get let's make this quick before we get out of here. The anti-taking rules. It's a trial run. Trial run, keep that in mind. But I'm gonna list some of the rules in the anti-taking roles. Uh the lottery expands to 16 teams, they flatten them odds out. Mid-bad teams get more chances than worse teams. The bottom three regulation zones, fewer lottery balls, penalized. I don't really know what that means. Playing teams also get a small lottery chance. This is an interesting one. No back-to-back number one picks, no three straight top five picks, and the league can punish taking. They can drop the odds, drop drive position, this is a trial run through 2029. The biggest two to me from my perspective is no back-to-back number one picks and no three straight top five picks. If this rule was in effect now, teams like OKC currently and San Antonio would not be in existence. But quick thoughts on these tanking rules.
SPEAKER_01If the NBA would just here's the other thing. Okay, let me start here. Let me start her. If the NBA would just find their team for tanking, we wouldn't have to do all of this. I mean, the NFL don't. NFL don't have this problem. Basically, baseball, they don't have this problem until like NFL, the last couple weeks. Okay, we really don't have a chance. Cool. We we gonna start bit, we're gonna start, you know what I'm saying, venture some players. MLB, your team been bad all year. It just is what it is. Everybody still gonna go out there every day. And I guess in baseball, people still gotta go out there every day. Football, you can't really have half-ass football. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? So I guess that might be the difference, but the way that you set up the aprons and all of that, and the budgeting up for these NBA teams, a lot of them the only way they're gonna be able to improve is through the draft because of fact, that's the problem with the NBA's problem. Is players don't most times don't want to play in small markets, as a word, NFL and MLB, they don't care where they play at, they just happy to be playing. The NBA got it in, I guess I don't know if it's the players or the way they build the organizations or they built a build these organizations up. I mean, they only most time they only want to play in the glamour cities or the coastal cities or whatever the case may be. Well, not Miami, because Miami can't never get nobody, but sorry, I'm just being honest. Everybody won't play in the big markets, they don't want to play in the small markets. Ain't no free agent standards in Indiana. Why Milwaukee's holding on the gun is the third for their life? Why? Because they ain't no, they know they ain't gonna get nobody else. And then now you can't even link up. You can't go three of y'all to play for one team like they did them with the Eatles because the collective bargain agreement, they set up these aprons and all of that, they make it hard. If the NBA put more, if they find or they did something to prevent their team from tanking, we wouldn't be in this problem now. I understand not I understand not number one overall back to back years, but if that team is just that bad, I'm trying what if I'm trying and I'm still bad, I still lose my first. Like, what if I'm trying and I'm still bad, and you can't get three top five picks in a row? You know how long it turned around to turn around a team. So I I so I get the first one this year, then I get a second or a third, let's say the first overall and the third overall. So you telling me the next year we done got a little bit better, but we still the worst, or one of the worst. I'm gonna be picking 14. It's not my fault, my team's bad. Y'all set it up this way, so I can't go get free agents. If free agents don't want to come here, that ain't my fault. So if you in the EBA teams, what are you supposed to do? But I mean, hey, they try to fix it. Let me tell you something. David Stein wouldn't be allowed on this.
