Saturday Night Main Event Card Preview
SPEAKER_00tonight. But we gotta go ahead and talk about a little, little, not PLE, special that's happening this Saturday called Saturday Night's Main Event. No, we get a decent little card. It's the content of the title is on the line, Ether Page versus Pinter. The tag team title is on the line, Street Prophets versus Division. Finally, side note, there's a report out there that WWE is trying to know focus a little bit more on the tag team division, trying to rebuild it back up. Man, I heard as a team out there, they just got released by their company. The Multi Machine Guns, they they they would have they have your tag division. Uh, you got another tag team, legendary tag team, the new day. They used to be a trail, but it's just uh Austin Creed and Kofi right now. They got they they left their company because no, some company wanted them to take a little pay cut. They didn't know how to use them. But you know, maybe if you want to focus on your tag division, you know, maybe scoop them up. It would have been nice to have them. That's a nice little team. There's a couple of teams they that probably could help your tag division. They out there. They was think they was on y'all payroll, but you know, now y'all want to focus on y'all tag division. But that's neither here nor there. Uh another match is a six-woman tag match with uh uh Charlotte Fleur, Alexa Bliss, and Rhea Ripley versus the think they call themselves the baddies, J. Cargill, B5, and Mee Chin. A third women's match is on the card. So Ruka versus Baker Witch. Um is the Indigan title on the line or not? I heard it was, heard it wasn't, heard it wasn't. I don't know.
SPEAKER_01The last I saw as here was a non-title match, and I'm looking at it like why would you even put this match on your what you call it? Special, on your special if the title ain't on the line. But I mean, what do I know? I I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Uh the next up, uh lastly again, third women's match, that tag titles on the line page, Bree Bella versus the Irresistible Forces. So this little car, two questions for you, Q. First off, will you be watching this live?
SPEAKER_01I will give you an honest answer. Because I think that's gonna uh make the decision for me about if I'm gonna be watching it live or not. Uh the game is at 8 o'clock. Sounds like it'd be.
SPEAKER_00I was thinking that, no offense. Decent card. NBA playoffs is kicking into high gear. We'll talk about that later. Uh, next question.
Which Match Should Close The Show
SPEAKER_00There's no world title on the line. Which of these matches main events? Damn, that's a good question. I was yeah, I was looking at it. Like, shit, ain't no type on the line. Which of these matches means event? I don't know. I I can say it'd be the six woman.
SPEAKER_01Well, you got the end of uh well page and uh page Ethan Page Ethan Page and uh Penta Penta, that's it. You don't feel like it's main event? Nah, so that lets me know what the if that wasn't it, it's uh Rhea Ripley.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01You got Rhea Ripley, Jay Cargill, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Fleur. Yeah, that's the main thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. If if the for sure the Intercontinental title was online in the women's match, Soluka versus Beck Lynch, I can see that main event. But uh the more I think about it, if that title's not on the line, that tells me So Ruka's winning. That just, I guess.
SPEAKER_01Why are we having this match if the title ain't on the line? Because we already know the outcome. What are we doing? It's a waste of time.
SPEAKER_00Waste of time.
SPEAKER_01Just put the title on the line.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, just put the title on. But uh uh, what matches you most excited for that you will be watching in replay? You know, when you're watching replay, you're gonna be might be skipped to it or just really looking forward to it.
SPEAKER_01So probably the baddies versus Alexa versus Alexa Bliss, uh Rhea Ripley, Sean Flair. Because I, you know what I'm saying, got a bunch of names in it. I want I hope the baddies win so that gives them some momentum. I don't think they will. Because you got three Hall of Famers on one side. You got you know three other women on the other on the other team. So I don't think y'all not that left. No shade. You know what I'm saying? We you know what I'm saying, we love M3, you know what I'm saying? But now uh I don't foresee them winning, but I was winning, I'm watching in hopes that I'm wrong. Um Ethan Page and Pinter, I think they're gonna put on a good match. Because Pinter's a great worker. And Ethan Page is solid. So I think that would be a I think that's gonna be a good technical match as well. Uh after that, I ain't gonna lie to you. I just
Ticket Prices And Watching Live Debate
SPEAKER_01ain't none of them none of the other three is like making me feel excited.
SPEAKER_00Nah. I mean it's uh uh it's in Fort Wayne, Indiana too, by the way. Now just a little hopping to skip from where we are, so yeah, tip tickets weren't stupid.
SPEAKER_01Like, yeah, I would might consider going, I might consider looking at the tickets, but I know this thing's crazy. Even for a Saturday night's main event.

Brock Lesnar Return And Oba Femi Fallout
SPEAKER_00he came out of retirement. What was your immediate reaction?
SPEAKER_01So I was watching real quick story time. I'm watching the NBA playoffs. I get a text from Joe, shout out Joe. He said, You watching Raw? I said, nah. He said, Well, it's like Rock Lesnar came back. I said, I don't know. Let me go get on YouTube real quick. You know what I'm saying? Let me go see what's going on. So I I uh I quit watching the game for a minute, got on YouTube, and I'm just like, huh, okay. Official time it was like what, 20 something days, 29, 27, something like that. Like, okay, cool, that's what's up. And then the next day, me and Joe's talking about it, and Joe is like, Joe is not happy with it because he thinks it's gonna end up burying Oba. And he's like at the feet of the purpose. You had a great send-off in WrestleMania, you had a great moment, you had a good match, not great match, but you had a good match that showed Oba as being dominant and just for it to be over with now, it quick, I mean this quick, he thinks it's going to because the Brock's gotta win the next match. Then it's gonna bury Oba, because then it's gonna be uh they're gonna fight a third time.
SPEAKER_00Well, it should probably be a Summerslam.
SPEAKER_01Probably at SummerSlam and Joe's like, he don't think Brock is gonna be going out at SummerSlam, so that means he's gonna win in front of his own friends.
SPEAKER_00Nah, I I think Brock. Well first first of all, let me uh it uh get in price. You'd be you'll be watching up there with uh with Eddie, but it's $39 getting in price.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_00Hey, I could it's a little drive though.
SPEAKER_01That's where it's like it's a little drive. That's why I count myself like hey if it was closer. Yeah, if it was Indianapolis for 39, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Fort Wayne for 39, that's what yeah, but uh I I I I'm gonna say my first reaction was ah, we doing this, and then it hit me. I am semi-okay with it. And the reason why is they had nothing else for over. No, because they didn't want if they didn't want if they wasn't gonna put the title on him, and they're not gonna put the title on him, not right now, they had nothing for him. He was just gonna be doing these open challenges, beating up on scrubs. They had nothing for him. This gives him I don't even know it's crazy. I don't think they want to give him the Intercontinental title. Because they think I feel like they already think he's above that. Or so yeah, so and they just don't want to give him the WWE title just yet, even though I think he handled it. But I think this just gives him something to do. Now he will probably lose the second one. I don't think he should. You beat Brock Lesnar three times in a row. I think that's a good reason to retire. So you if this guy beats me three times in a row. But it would make sense for Brock Lesnar to win the second one at Clash with Castle. They have this rubber match with SummerSlam, make it a last-man standing match or something. Which I I'm gonna enjoy probably because usually Brock is good at last-man standing matches. So I'm not totally against it. I just hope we get to the same outcome, but at SummerSlam in Brock's hometown.
SPEAKER_01Right bubba up. I kind of agree with I kind of agree with y'all because you know they're gonna want Gunther to win it. I mean Gunther to be the one that beats oh uh Brock.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I didn't already feel I didn't already feel like that's not even gonna happen. I don't know why, but I in my head, Gunther and Brock is not happening.
SPEAKER_01You don't think it's gonna happen at all?
SPEAKER_00No, I just think I think the last matches, I think seems like Brock Lesnar likes Oprah Femi. I just think Brock Lesnar is gonna finish out his career with these next two matches with Oprah Femi. I could be wrong, but I just don't see there's no reason for them to even have Gunther face Brock Lesnar now. He done already got his favor from Paul.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, he did.
SPEAKER_02Do you think Rocky did that on purpose?
SPEAKER_01Because you said he likes Oba for some reason. Yeah, whatever that reason is. What if he did the whole retirement thing saying, hey, if y'all gonna want me to go to Slummer Slam to face over, I ain't gonna do it.
SPEAKER_00Uh it's possible. He's he's the type of person I can see do some stuff like that. But he would also walk out if they if they want him to do something that he don't want to do. Yeah, true. Um, that's true. But oh
Clash At The Castle Early Thoughts
SPEAKER_00no, that uh WWE Saturday Smar event, cool little car. We'll we'll probably talk about it a little bit as we preview Clash of the Castle or Clash in Italy. I don't keep saying Clash of Italy. Clash of Italy looks like a decent car. Kind of excited about it, but we'll see. They got a couple rematches.
SPEAKER_01We got two world title matches, then we're gonna have Olga and um so it's gonna be gonna be a decent car.
SPEAKER_00Uh I don't know what the women's match is gonna be. I hope it's a good one. Because neither one of them is in a few, neither one of the women world champions are in a few. I mean, take it it'd probably be real J. That's another rematch that I they probably could wait for.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I guess take it when they in a feud because they're carrying it over with this match. So it just lines it up for them in the face and flash it. Yeah. But Liv ain't in no feud at all.
SPEAKER_00She just she just chilling with Roxanne and Raquel.
SPEAKER_01I mean, if that's the case, y'all need to put the tag titles on Roxanne and Raquel.
Mavericks Move On From Jason Kidd
SPEAKER_00Man, that would be nice, but let's let's go ahead and move on to the NBA before we talk about some eliminated teams that was in the playoffs. Let's talk about an eliminated team that didn't even make the playoffs, and that's Dallas Mavericks. Jason Kidd is out as head coach, apparently. I was looking at the reports. He wanted, you know, uh, after Nico Harrison got got the boot, he wanted to move up to the office. No, a lot of coaches they do that. Brad Stevens, though, they prefer to move up into the office a little bit more job security, probably a little bit less stressful. When they didn't hire him and they hired um the guy from Toronto. Um great GM. He did a good job with the Toronto. Sometimes you need a little luck. He did his job and got lucky. So shout out to him. But once they hired him, the writing was on the wall. Most GMs they want their guy. I'm sure that's not Jesse Kid and Massaji. They probably don't even know each other for real. The writing's on the wall. Get you a new coach in here. And this job is probably outside of the bad thing that you're in the West, and we'll talk about more about that in a little bit. You got a you got a young star, you guys that you can mold, that's not, he's not a he's not a star where he has an ego. He probably he has an ego, but he doesn't have a ironist type of ego yet, like a superstar like LeBron in his prime or Kobe in his prime. He's probably still a little coachable. So it's probably a desirable job. How do you feel about Jason Kidd getting the boot and who you think they might go after? Because I my first thought was Nick Nurse, but I forgot he's in Philly. Quick question. I'm give the little kickback.
SPEAKER_01Why do you think Cooper ain't already in his ego phase? Because he already know, I mean, on one rookie of the year.
SPEAKER_00They're not gonna are you are they gonna ask him who he should hire as coach or is he gonna be in their interviews?
SPEAKER_01I don't think it's that far-fetched.
SPEAKER_00Nah, they're not gonna ask him.

SPEAKER_00I don't even think they're gonna ask his opinion. Like that, that when I when I say it, that part where he controls some things, like Milwaukee, they probably they say they didn't, but you probably should ask Giannis how you feel about this coach.
SPEAKER_01They I don't even think they're gonna ask Cubai how you feel about this coach. You probably right, but I wouldn't think it's that crazy if they did. We know he's let's be real, more than likely next year or the year after, within the next two years, he's an all-star. Yeah, that ego's dirt. He's rookie of the year, unanimous first team, rookie, uh first team. He probably got that ego. The team, he knows the team is built around him. They're not gonna ask Tyree who should be the next coach. So I think you I think I wouldn't think it's that far-fetched for him to already have the ego of this is this is my franchise. Because in essence, it is his. He knows that. He came in, especially because of the situation he came in. He can't even replace a boot. All right, I'm gonna guy. That's why I'm like, I don't know, he might have the ego. Um as far as Jason King getting the boot, I was surprised. Because I ain't I ain't see that coming whatsoever. I hadn't heard no rules. I I hadn't heard no rules, I ain't heard nothing. All I heard was I mean, it just popped up one day, Jason King got fired. What did that happen? Uh as far as I was surprised as far as possible replacements. I mean, New Orleans is high mostly, mostly. So that's one name that I think will be gone. Uh Rondo. He's gonna run it for the New Orleans job. Why not put it? He played it, Dallas, albeit for a little bit. Why not give Rondo a look?
SPEAKER_00Um Jeff then Gundys are following us for the pros and trailblazers' job. You think they might swoop if they swoop in and get him? What about uh I keep forgetting that man's name and he did such a good job? Well, you may slide to him. I would just go ahead and gave him that contract as soon as he walked off the floor. You did a good job, player. I'll be honest with you.

SPEAKER_00I don't know who the DM there, but like I said, my man would have had a contract as soon as he walked off the floor. I can't let you go. You did such a good job after the crazy stuff we had to go through to start this season.
SPEAKER_01Well, it's the owner's fault. The owner of the laid out who worked for us, he did that whole situation in the playoffs. He ain't even gonna give away free t-shirts. Every other team giving away free t-shirts. They like, nah, we got something else for y'all. But give these people a t-shirt, bro. What are you talking about? What are you giving donors? I don't know what's wrong with you, but probably gonna they probably gonna have to force their team to be slow. Already. It just happened. Uh yeah, if if I'm Dallas, Rondo, and Tiago Split, his names I would be interested in.
SPEAKER_00Uh yeah, those those are the two guys I thought about. Well, I thought I said I thought about Nick Nurse. I don't think he's stuck in Philly. Maybe he would like to get out of Philly. I would like if I was him, I probably would not want to be in Philly.
SPEAKER_01Oh no. Because you got Maxie and uh Home in Philly.
SPEAKER_00Only thing about being in Philly right now is you away from the West. Outside of that, contract situation and health is not good.
SPEAKER_01Well, let's not think about the other two. Let's focus on BJ Ashcombe and Sal Reach Max. Let's not focus on the other two. You know what I mean? Let's focus on the two, you got two future stars compared to, you know, one one like superstar potentially. But you got two of them and Philly. That's how I mean you're right, though. I mean, there is an injury in a contract situation.
SPEAKER_00Let's see, uh, I'm interested to see who they uh who side gets. You gotta get it right, though. You gotta get it right. Yeah, it's crazy how high Dallas was. They was just in the finals a couple years ago. Now they garbage with hopefully a future with Cooper Flag.
Pistons Offseason Needs Around Cade
SPEAKER_00But we will see. Well, let's go ahead and talk about some eliminated teams. Let's start first with the Detroit Pistons. And where do they go? They had the incredible regular season. They did come out and say they're gonna they're gonna keep their coach. Um I'm I like that decision. But they need to get some more offensive firepower. A couple things. Thompson, you gotta you gotta go to elite the shooter. Get you because you look like you didn't even want to shoot the ball at times in the playoffs. Kanye, we gotta stop turning the ball off. Sometimes you gotta be a little bit more selfish from our perspective. You was being a little bit more non-selfish because nobody else wanted to score. Um, I gotta figure out what y'all gonna do with Topias Harris. And Jalen Dern, you was on a milk card in this whole playoffs. You was looking for a max, you was looking at a max contact contract. I don't know if anybody has more lost more money than you during these playoffs. But for the most part, they probably are going to run it back. I think some experience, I think with some development. You know, Jalen Dern, he wants a big contract, depending on his contract, will determine if he's there for me or not. If I'm the Detroit Pistons, but they're probably gonna run it back.
SPEAKER_01The thing that okay, besides deciding on the future of all of those players, they also need somebody else that can create their own try. It can't all be on him. He's a finalist for the MVP. You know what I mean? I get it. He's great, but he needs he needs a co-star. Jalen Duran, even if you bring him back, he's not a get-my-all shot. He's a dependable. What the? I'm thinking of Shaq. He's uh a dependent star. Somebody gotta get him the ball, put him in a position so he could finish. Um so I think, and they was supposed to they had your uh Jay uh Abby, they had Abby, you know, what happened with him or whatever the case might be. He's no longer with the team. He was supposed to be that person. So they're gonna have to find somebody to fill that role, and they didn't they didn't find nobody to fill that role for. The money for Asar in uh Jalen Burr is going to drastically, drastically decreased because this playoffs show their weakness. You make your money in the playoffs. It shows both of y'all weakness. Which Assar, we already knew he was a defender and he was athletic. But when you in the spotlight of the playoffs, and the lights are zone, it ain't as many games on everybody's watching you. Everybody sees you, but you can't shoot. So what we see, we know the people who watches you every game, the GMs within the scene. So they're not gonna offer you the this max amount of money. Uh same thing with Jalen Durham. He was a all-star this season, but when the lights got right, I don't it's not like he he shrunk. You know what I'm saying? I don't think it was purchasable. I don't think he I don't think the lights are too bright for him. It just shows the holes in his game when somebody plays you every night and they could pick a parking with you. Uh and then spice hers. You gotta bring Spice Hurts. Yeah. I ain't, you know, I ain't got no look, the OG leadership, they need they need to bring him back.
SPEAKER_00So uh I'm assuming it sounds like you you on board with the basically run it back contract dependent on Thompson and Jalen.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, run it back, give them more money. Uh I mean give them some money and then go out and get somebody else that can help uh Kane Cunningham create create their own shot. You could space the floor for him as well. Gonna need Duncan Robinson as well, because he's somebody to shoot.
SPEAKER_00Who who's out there you think could go? Because I know the first person that came to my mind was an Austin Reeves. Now he's not he's not a defender, but you can probably afford to have Austin Reeves when you have a Thompson. Hopefully, Thompson gets a little bit more development, but you can afford to have him basketball-wise, money-wise, you can't afford to have all.
SPEAKER_01Okay, all right. Because you ain't it ain't it's not enough money to go around under the salary cap. Because in fact, you got Osara at the three who helps with the lead. And you got Jalen, and you got other um beats too that protect the room. Because listen, you know what I'm saying? Zach Levine don't play the defense. That boy can score. And he's created his own shot. That can get K. Yeah, K gonna have to step in, step up his defense a little bit with Zach next to him. But I think that would be a good look. And Zach ain't gonna he ain't gonna command that much money now as a you know saying as an older free agent. And I think he he's more in that price range. Also, Reeves would be great, and he fits time-wise, age-wise, but make too much money.
SPEAKER_00I agree. I see what you mean. I see what you mean. Uh Jenkins, though, I will say he played pretty well. No, I the games I watched, he showed out a little bit. He attempted to help K. Can't say the same for the other guys, but he did attempt to help K a little bit. So I think you bring him back and see and see where you can go. We see what you do. But Pistons, running back. Y'all was the one seed, failing the game seven. Y'all was off on that game seven, by the way. I just want to point that out. That was uh I was so mad that y'all disappointed like that. I was watching that game, I turned it off at the third quarter. But let's talk about another
Timberwolves Big Swing Targets And West Problem
SPEAKER_00team. The Minnesota Timberwolves. Two things. Number one thing for me that would help Minnesota, they just need to go ahead and move to the East. It's probably gonna be a couple years, so let's just move to these. Number two, the first thing that came out when they lost was that they might go big fish hunting, and that big fish is Giannis. Besides that, and moving to these, how you feel about Giannis and what else you think the two of us should do.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I think Giannis makes sense. Giannis makes sense for everybody. But they actually do have the contracts and they could be a bunch of picks. I don't know if they got necessarily the young talent to give up that the uh Milwaukee Bucks will know, but you could, you know, Julius Mirando and some others, plus some first round draft picks, you can you can make that trade happen. Uh another option that I think might not cost them as much as far as assets is Ja Moran.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I like that.
SPEAKER_01You put Ja, you put Ja Moran and Anthony Evans next to each other, that's a back card. You gotta keep Conley because you gotta, again, OG leadership. Keep Conley here for that OG leadership next to Ja. But Ja and Ant on the back card? And I don't You don't have to figure out the money. You don't want to give up, you don't want to give up Jaden McDaniels to make it work. But you might have to, but you really can't you really can't afford to, because again, he missed that timeline.
SPEAKER_00Would you would you would you rather keep Jaden McDaniels or Nas Reed?
SPEAKER_01I'd rather keep Jaden McDaniels. He's the better defender. Nas is the better score. Jaden's the better defender. And he showed in his playoffs when now, like I can go get my own shot if you need beat. You put them three back on, and you still gonna have Rudy because Rudy, he ain't I mean, you're trying to Memphis. They got to say, hey, what are we gonna do with Rudy?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_01But you gonna, you know what I'm saying? It'll be uh can't think of his name. Uh play for Kentucky. Alfred.
SPEAKER_00Uh Will and Cully Star.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, no, no, no. Julius Rand. Julius Rand. I was like, who are you talking about? Julius Rand. I'm seeing play for Minnesota. Uh Julius Rand, he's Julius Mandal for Ja Brad. But that's how the contracts work. But maybe you get them three. Ja and James out there. And if you got Rudy covering the back end, hey, that's a team. That's a team. I mean, they still in the West, but it's already so much they can be able to do. But that does that does that would excite me. Another cheap option is Kyrie.
SPEAKER_00I like that. I would rather have that than Ja Moran. I think that'd be cheaper than Ja. Giving up. So yeah, I I'll I'll be okay with that. I'll be okay. Kyrie and man. That'll be nice. That'll be nice up there. But uh, we still got that West problem. So consider the weather you know, we we've said multiple times there's a West problem. And funny enough, I think Minnesota's probably part of the reason why there's a West problem, because I think they're the second, I mean, they're the third or fourth best team, going to be the third or fourth best team in the West for the foreseeable future. But the number one and number two teams in the West, after watching them play these two games, after seeing how young they are, even though they're still gonna lose some players, they still got a lot of good players. Well, I'm gonna say what, five years? Are we gonna have another four or five year stretch like we did with the Cleveland versus San Antonio? But instead of, I mean Cleveland versus uh Golden State, but instead of the NBA Finals, it's gonna be the Western Conference Finals. Is that is that because that's how I see it. Unless Yokes goes superhuman and messes up one of them.
SPEAKER_01I don't think, okay, so depending on what Minnesota do, I don't feel like it's far-fetched to think Minnesota could beat women. Yeah, they they they in that realm, but they farm. So I don't think it's far-fetched. I also don't think it's far-fetched. Like you said, for a joker to go super human. So I'm not gonna just leave it up to them two. I think it's more than likely them to, but I see that it's possibilities. The problem with these problem with the right now is the team that can beat those two teams, I feel like them two styles is kind of having a little situation between each other right now. One of them, one of them is beefing with Stephen A. Smith. And then Stephen A. Smith talking about I exposed the real reason why y'all ain't, you know what I'm saying, y'all ain't cool. So I mean, and then New York, you we'll see. I think New York we gotta see.
SPEAKER_00That that's why I wanted to ask you. I was talking because I knew there was a superstar out there that I felt like was on the move. I feel like Jalen Brown is potentially on the move. Yeah, I think he's going to Atlanta, though, because that's what everybody keeps talking about. Oh, ugh. Well, you already know. That's why I was so yeah, but yeah.
SPEAKER_01It's like something that it's something that happened that I mean, I think he's from Atlanta, but it's like something that happened, and everybody talks, yeah, Jalen Brown's movie, he's going to Atlanta. And when you hear, I mean, old moves, yeah, he's going to go to Atlanta. When you hear that much noise and people talking about it, nine times out of ten, that's what's going to happen.
SPEAKER_00And I know Jalen Brown said this is he had the most fun this season. Now probably you know came out of context a little bit because you know the Jason Taylor thing. But he it even though he probably was a little out of context, it still was true that he was the guy. He was the focus. He got a taste of being the guy, didn't have to defer to anybody at any time. I don't know if he wants to give that up.
SPEAKER_01I don't think it was out of context. He knew what he was talking about. Being honest, and you know, I I love Jalen Murray. It wasn't out of context. He knew what he was talking about. Hey, I had fun this year. I know what was going on, but it was it's the most fun I had played basketball.

Jalen Brown Rumors And MVP Voting Debate
SPEAKER_00about one more thing before we get out of here. Uh shout us to Shell, so uh spoiling it for everybody. But the kid MVP voting came out, and Shay Gilge Alexander is a back-to-back MVP. Um, will he become the third? Uh will he become a uh 3P guy first since Bird? Probably not, because I feel like they be trying to keep people from being a three-p. But the voting goes as such, and I was a little shocked because man, Shea Gilgish Alexander, he ran away with it pretty much. He came, he had 83 first place votes. Jokic came in second with 10 first place votes. Victor, which shocked me, had five first place votes. Uh Luca didn't get a single first place vote. K got two first place votes. Uh Jalen Brown, Kawhi, and Donovan Mitchell, they was further down the list. They didn't get any. But Jalen Brown did get one second place vote. I was a little shocked he got a little bit more love than he did. You was talking about it. I was about to ask you, was you the person that voted for him to be second place? Because that's something that you would have done.
SPEAKER_01We knew it. If I had to vote, I would have.
SPEAKER_00But uh in terms of this list and how the voting with, again, I was a little shocked that Shay ran away with it like he did. And I was also shocked that Victor came in third and Jokers came in second. But outside of that, I'm not shocked SGA won it. I wasn't, I didn't agree with it, but hey, you could you couldn't deny him really. But what was your thoughts?
SPEAKER_01The Wimby, I think the biggest shock, the biggest surprise for me was Wimby being third. Because I just assumed Wimby was second. This whole time I just thought it was Shay, then Wimby, and then Joker, and then I thought Jalen Brown was fourth. And then because I wasn't even sure Kay Cunningham was gonna be able to be eligible because of the 65 gameplay. So when I saw Kay's name on her, that was a surprise. But Wimby being third was was a big surprise to me. Because, I mean, have we I know the playoffs don't count, but looking at what he's done in the playoffs reminds you of what he did in the regular season. When he played versus OKC, they won all of names. But ah, it surprised me.
SPEAKER_00And it's crazy to think about one thing you because I feel like the the definition of MVP changes year to year. It's best play. Is it best player or most valuable player? I don't think, especially uh, we saw um Victor exit that game early at the elbow to mess out of Nas Reed. You see the difference. I don't think there's anybody more valuable to their team than Victor. Because you can literally see when he's on the floor, players are terrified to throw a shot up if they get to the paint. They either they don't want to even go to the paint, or when they go to the paint, they're not even looking at the basket. I don't think there's anybody more valuable than Victor as a basketball player. And just and he does it on both ends. Obviously, he's a little bit more dominant on the defense end because he just deters people from shooting, but he's dominant on offensive end as well. So I if if you want to say I think he's the best and most valuable, but SGA, he's he's the best player on the number one team in the West.
SPEAKER_01Okay, but we also saw when Shay was out that they still was winning games.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And they were still winning games in a dominant fence fashion.
SPEAKER_00That goes back to how valuable is he?
SPEAKER_01I'm not. Do I think they would still be the number one team in the West without him? No. I still think they'd be a playoff team. Yeah. Because they got AJ Mitchell right here following. He only gets paid like two million dollars.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I think Jalen, I think Jalen Williams would be on the move too, by the way. Side note. They see that cheaper option doing just as good as that expensive. Hey, let's be honest.
SPEAKER_01Let's have a conversation for a minute. Yeah, that man has only played like 50 games, 40 games or shit. It was an injury down. At the time, he was only supposed to be out for like a month. He still he played what for uh two games in the first round and then was hurt. Was it two games or one game?
SPEAKER_00It was two games. I think it was two games, and then he played, he just played two games again, he's hurt again. He hurt.
SPEAKER_01And like you said, AJ Mitchell was a cheaper option, and the best way to stay, they got three max players. You could get up, you could get up under that salary count if you trade Jamie Williams. Yep. So I mean, and it's a lot of teams that will take Jamie Williams deserve. It's a lot of teams that remember you was looking for a name that will fit along with my team. That's the guy. That's the name. Okay. But again, I don't think we got nothing to give off of.
