Who is Jesus — really?

In Mark 9:2-9, Jesus takes Peter, James, and John up a high mountain, and something extraordinary happens. His appearance is transformed before their eyes — his clothes becoming a dazzling, radiant white. Moses and Elijah appear alongside him. And then a voice comes from a cloud: "This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him."

The disciples are terrified. They don't know what to say. And yet, this moment is one of the most significant in all of the Gospels — a brief, breathtaking glimpse behind the curtain of Jesus' humanity, revealing His true glory and divine identity.

The Transfiguration is God's declaration that Jesus is not merely a great teacher or prophet. He is the Son of God — the fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets, the one Moses and Elijah pointed toward all along. And the command that follows is simple and direct: Listen to Him.

In a world full of competing voices, this passage invites us to fix our eyes on Jesus — and to trust that the one standing before us is far greater than He may appear.
