Jamie:

Welcome to Blissful Biz Adventures Succeeding Without Seconds. So the seven ways to improve your group practice and overcome common challenges is going to be the topic of today and I'm very excited because I love helping people get through really unexpectedly. But they're also common. So there are apps and you can absolutely get over these challenges and I highly recommend getting a business coach like me to help you to reduce the time, energy, expenses when it comes to overcoming those, those barriers, because if we can reduce the time, the headache, the emotional toll and financially, and give you a roadmap, it's going to make it a lot easier and that's something that I wish I maybe knew about prior to prior to experiencing them myself. So, seven ways to improve your group practice with the and I guess we can name this also seven of the largest barriers or the some of the toughest struggles in business owning, specifically in group practice. We're going to talk about that today and we're going to talk about how to raise awareness around these. So I want to help you to identify by the end of today's podcast, to ask yourself am I experiencing any of these? Which ones am I experiencing? How am I experiencing them? How are they impacting the business, how are they impacting me and what can I do about it, so that you can take that awareness and start creating some action steps to help you get to a more comfortable spot, a spot that feels much better, and get out of this stuckness. So, without further ado, let's dive into the first of the seven.

Jamie:

The first of the seven common struggles for group practice owners is inadequate business planning. So a lot of times providers therapists and dietitians specifically the two I really like working with they have a wonderful clinical background, very compassionate, are able to excel in the clinical area of helping clients, but they do not have the business skill or they don't have the understand, the business goals or the financial projections, or have the strategies or the understanding of how the business should function or the admin part of it. And this can really cause group practices to struggle to succeed. And of course, that makes a ton of sense when providers get started in deciding they want to have a group practice. They didn't go to school for business. They have no idea what to expect. They've never done this before. They didn't. They have no idea what to expect. They've never done this before and so if they don't plan well, they don't both assess and plan well, with all of the knowledge that they need, asking themselves all the questions that they need to be questioning, assessing everything they need to assess, like the finances, their energy, what their goals are, the milestones toward those goals, how they're going to achieve that.

Jamie:

They don't have the goals set in place number one, or no milestones or short-term goals, and then they don't. They're not able to plan for those they don't plan, or they just don't know how to, or they don't adequately plan. Those are definitely going to keep people stuck or also cause them to go in directions that are going to be unhelpful or cause more strain financially and emotionally and all, all of the things. So let's talk about some action steps and I'm going to ask you some follow-up questions regarding this. Okay, we're going to do that for all seven of these so that you can really you can get a couple how to's right off the bat. What do I need to do if this is something I am struggling with or if I think I'm struggling with this, and then some reflective questions so you can dive into your inner worlds and your own personal experience with this. So, action steps Number one craft a detailed business plan. Develop a comprehensive plan that outlines
