So in this episode we're going to recap our draft week festivities , highlight some of our draft day moments that stood out , and we'll look back over the first four weeks of our fantasy football season and pretend like we knew what would happen and what's going to happen . Now let's jump into this episode , all right ? So let's jump into uh , the 24 2024 draft recap . So we're going to highlight some of the highs and lows from draft week . Go over all the festivities and outcomes , because we had a lot of contests right , we had a lot going on .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean , it's competition all throughout the week and , like you said , it's not even a draft weekend anymore , it's full-on draft week for pretty much everybody .
Speaker 1It is . It is . We have people traveling from all over California . England Got to highlight that one Of course , absolutely .
Speaker 2What is it ? Is it Minnesota , minnesota , yeah , all over the United States , the world , everywhere . It's great .
Speaker 1Yeah , it's , it's been fantastic . It's a it's a long day of traveling to get there .
Speaker 2It's definitely a longer day of travel to get home After a full weeks of festivities . Yeah , the trip home is uh . It feels like you're going back and forth across the country multiple times just to get home oh yeah , it's , it's , uh .
Speaker 1It's definitely rough , especially with with uh kids .
Speaker 2You have to navigate all that I think you or guys were in charge of my kids on the way back .
Speaker 1That's right , that's right which , which , which they were angels on , uh , the plane , I promise I . So we kicked off draft week , so we had three days of golf . So the first day of golf was at Cheekwood Golf Club and this time we had I think we had five or six or five of us that showed up I think it was Mozevet myself , plus one . Plus one was there ? 44 Magnum was , was there ? Absolutely , I feel like I'm forgetting .
Speaker 2And then myself too .
Speaker 1Oh , that's right , you yeah .
Speaker 2I was able to make it , you're able to make it .
Speaker 1That's right . That's right . That was fun , Great little night and night hole course . Absolutely In kind of the countryside .
Speaker 2Yeah , it seems like everything out there is so green , everything around it . So , yeah , absolutely yeah , a cool little nine-hole course . I think it's perfect to kind of just you know , like you said , traveling in that day for some of them and getting there and jumping around the course is a perfect course to do that .
Speaker 1It was great . It was great and we had our second annual the match .
Speaker 2The match right . The match me and Mo's vet .
Speaker 1I won . I got the 20 bucks from him . We had the picture of him handed it over . I know it wasn't easy for him .
Speaker 2No , of course , we know how competitive everybody is , so it's never , never easy to to be able to , you know , hand that over and and defeat especially .
Speaker 1Exactly , Exactly . I think Mosvet might have , which we'll talk about later . He might have reached the over-under in meltdowns that day , day one .
Speaker 2Yeah , I think not so much . Maybe on the front . Maybe one or two on the front when we played , but I know when you had the match too , there was definitely a couple there , especially the longer the later we got into it . So absolutely .
Speaker 1And then the next day we had what we have three groups of four or three no , three groups of three .
Speaker 2three groups of three , Um , and yeah , like you said , a little bit more competition the next day too .
Speaker 1It was . It was we . We played at Hermitage right Correct yep , which we love , the course . Not a fan of the staff Right . I still believe we're on some hit list .
Speaker 2They're out for us . I believe they are . That's still kind of out there if they really are or not , but I think half of us truly believe they are . They're out for us .
Speaker 1It was not a warm welcome and , for those of you that don't know , the Hermitage Golf Club has an Instagram following with a guy named Chris who , when you looked at these Instagram posts , initially you thought they were funny People calling in to find out how long the course plays . Do the green run , run , run , true , and he would snap back with like some comment like you suck , it's not going to matter , it was all funny . Until we met him and we're like oh , there's , there's actually a bit of Eric , there's a yeah .
Speaker 2And I think everybody that works with him now is kind of has the same mentality .
Speaker 1They think they're hot stuff .
Speaker 2They think they're it Right . Great course , though , the both 18s that they have there , two different 18s . We played the Generals Retreat again this year . Yep , I mean , can't go wrong . I don't think they won either one . So , yeah , great . Second day of golf . Like you said , the three teams are three . I think the winning team would have been , if I'm not mistaken , would have been , mosvett , dizzle and Bazinga .
Speaker 1Somehow shot even par . I still don't believe it .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean it must have been a great round it must have been a great round . I will say I was glad to hear it going into the Thursday round because those are my teammates , right . That's true around , because those are my teammates Right . So it was , uh , it was a lot of positive words with myself and them , um , because it was great to hear for the next , for the next day .
Speaker 1But yep , no , absolutely . I think the tough thing is we played the night before , stayed out late , super early tee time . Yeah 45 minutes an hour away . And then the next day of golf , another early tee time with with a late night . So after three days of golf , you're you're absolutely taxed .
Speaker 2Not to mention I think it was a hundred degrees every day with the humidity back . It was , uh , definitely the weather . We brought the uh , the uh central Valley California weather with us to Tennessee this year . Um , didn't it make it any easier ?
Speaker 1So no , no , no , no , I think I think the uh , the one thing . But before we jump onto the third day of golf and our , our annual tournament that has become a just a thing of itself , right , um , what we had ? Uh , we had a pool day absolutely . Which that pool day , uh that was I was going to say the name , but I'm not going to say the name . Dizzle Estates is what we'll call it . Right Is second to none .
Speaker 2Yeah , everything there at the Estates is so many different things to do and I think that was our first all-soldiers-involved Pool Day like that . Yeah , turned into obviously . Hey , who can jump in the pool and catch the ball ?
Speaker 1a certain way .
Speaker 2Ended up being a lot of fun . But you know , obviously after an exhausting day on the course , it was perfect . It was perfect to jump in the pool , the weather you know , for the weather that we had , like we said , it was pool day it was perfect Ended up being a lot of fun and we spent hours in the pool just hanging out as a group .
Speaker 1Lots of beer outside stock fridge , always on tap ready to go . But it was definitely welcome after two straight days of golf in what felt like you know a thousand percent humidity .

Golf Tournament Recap and Celebrations
Speaker 1we had . Is this our fifth annual sixth ?
Speaker 2annual tournament Fifth or sixth . Yeah , going back , obviously I know you guys have got a couple of championships , We've got a couple .
Speaker 1You have like nine between you guys .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean it's , you know , whatever you start losing count , but yeah , five sounds about right . I think you know a true . Hey , this is an actual tournament we're playing , so I think five sounds about right .
Speaker 1So the teams are Tigers Woods , which was the defending champ , correct ? We finished in a putt off last year , right , and a Mosvet putter throw the year before , I believe . What is it , champ ?
Speaker 2Squad .
Speaker 1Original name had won back-to-back years .
Speaker 2Yeah , back-to-back champs , right , and you guys knocked us off last year and so… Stakes were high . Stakes were high and I think what is it ? The third team in Sunday ? Swagger is , I think what is kind of their team name . It sounds like it is .
Speaker 1It is , and they did bring some Thursday Swagger . They had… . This was the first year that we invoked some type of a handicap just to level the playing field right .
Speaker 2Uh , and it came down , remind me , to the final hole . Yeah , all three groups going into 18 were at seven under . Yeah , so this shows I mean , right there , you know all of us same exact score through 17 . Um , it was fun to to circle back around myself and kind of see where everybody was at . I already knew what you know the first two groups were at and you guys were coming up 18 to kind of follow it .
Speaker 1And we birdied 17 .
Speaker 2Yeah , I think Rich Bumdum was 7 , I believe made a 15 to 20-foot birdie putt . It was huge and I knew at that minute you guys went to 7 on that . It was a must-make putt , obviously . Tough hole on 18 . No chance to the eagle , obviously , if you don't make that .
Speaker 1That is a tough green . You want to stay below the hole because it slopes massively downhill .
Speaker 2Absolutely so . Yeah , it was a huge putt to make 18 interesting at least .
Speaker 1So you went into 18 seven under .
Speaker 2We bogeyed it , sonny , seven under . We bogeyed it . Uh , some sunny swagger went into 18 , six under , birdied it seven under and birdied it to eight and you guys , oh , that's right , that's right . And then you guys went in at seven that's a tough hole to birdie number two handicap . If I look back on it , I'm . You know it was rough , so it's . Yeah , it's not , it's water on the right . You got to have a good t-shot .
Speaker 1If you don't t-shot , you're it's two foot long of a hole , so you're absolutely done . Yep , now , so we come in . We're on the green putt to tie it . There was a questionable incident that happened on that hole . Rich was first to putt and somebody we won't name names , but you know who you are uh , let's just call this person bushley decided to cough on the follow-through of Rich's putt , which was unsportsmanlike , uncalled for , but that person's team didn't win and didn't have a shot , so it's fine . And we were unable to sink the putt . We did par it , which put us in second . Correct Sunday swagger first and champ squad in third .
Speaker 2Third , yeah , it was a memorable finish . Obviously , everybody going into 18 tied essentially , and everybody has a shot at it , and even the last putt , down to the very last putt . So it seems like it's like that every year Nobody knows where we're at all throughout the course , which makes it great .
Speaker 1Because we're all lying .
Speaker 2Because , yeah , everybody's talking about oh , we're 13 under , oh , we're barely breaking apart , Nobody knows . And so when you finally get there to find out what truly everybody's at , and you hear , oh , you were at seven and Birdie , it's cool to hear where we're all at , like that .
Speaker 1Now let's talk about the chest bump that happened on 14 . That , I think , injured you for the rest of the round .
Speaker 2Let's see . It's still a bit tender , yeah , but you're right and I think you guys saw it because you were on the par three behind us . Yes , I think Mosvett just striped a drive by far his best drive of the day and it's a shorter par four , but it put us 30 yards off the green , gives a chest pump to Dizzle . Mosvett comes to me . Of course , drinks are flowing .
Speaker 1He gets hyped up .
Speaker 2I was pumped for him . He hits a great drive . We had a couple just birdied the hole before we go on a streak right , mosvec got me , I think I either bruised , a rib cracked , whatever it was . Luckily I had the Dr Bazinga there to let me know . It's not broken . I'm going to live , you know , play through it , but yeah , it's been up until like last week . It's been pretty tender . So finally I think I'm back at full strength .
Speaker 1I watched that from the tee box . He hit some amazing shot which I didn't see , but but I heard and I saw Bush league . I mean Mo's vet , what up to you , and Mo's vet right up to you , and Zach's not a big guy and Mo's vet almost took his teammate down with a lot of critical holes left to play , but that's what we do .
Speaker 2I mean we go all out . It's exciting stuff Part of it . I mean , when you're in the moment and someone hits a drive like that , what else do ?
Speaker 1you do .
Speaker 2Turn down the chest bump ? Of course not .
Speaker 1Absolutely Maybe next year . That finishes up . I mean three days of stellar golf three amazing courses . Weather wasn't the best , but we kept ourselves hydrated .
Speaker 2You alter alcohol , gatorade back and forth , ultra fireball water every once in a while . Yeah , of course , congrats to Sunday Swagger for their down a man this year . Yeah , you know a couple of shots . Whatever that they got , but it made it . You know where they should be and it was a competitive .
Speaker 1It probably the most well-balanced tournament we've ever had , couldn't have gotten any closer .
Speaker 2So congrats to them winning their first one . And shoot , they're going to have to defend it next year , yeah .

Speaker 2And I hope that the reason that 44 Magnum was not there this year obviously valid and he should have missed it . But I hope he's there next year to be able to participate with his team . Absolutely , but have missed it , but I hope he's there the next year to be able to , to you know , participate with his team . Um , but of course , what he had going on 100% would have been everybody would have told him like hey , you're , you're , you cannot be here , you need to go do what you're supposed to be doing Absolutely .
Speaker 1Now , one of these nights we went to and I want to mention , uh , we went to this , this downtown bar and food place I think it's called OB joyful in downtown Franklin , Correct Right ? Uh , amazing little bar , uh , great atmosphere , but the food was absolutely amazing .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean , you usually go to a bar , right , and it's not not expecting anything spectacular , for you know , maybe some , some , you know , a couple of hors d'oeuvres , whatever it is . Um , but full on meals here that were really good .
Speaker 1Hand-breaded strips , homemade fries . I think we all had the jalapeno , jalapeno burger .
Speaker 2Yeah , myself and Dizzle had found this place where you know I'd never seen downtown Franklin walking it a couple of days before . It was beautiful too . Yeah , great area .
Speaker 1Um , and we stopped in the wall place and uh , figured , why not try it ? Try it again with everybody else , or you know a group of us . So , so shout out to uh OB joyful bar and pub , uh , downtown Franklin . If you're ever down there , check it out . Uh , and we did .
Karaoke and Flag Football in Nashville
Speaker 1We did have a night in Nashville . Uh , I think it was me and our auctioneer that had a hankering for karaoke .
Speaker 2There was I think that was , uh , you know , a whole the whole time that we were trying to figure out where are these karaoke places ?
Speaker 1at so um .
Speaker 2I know you guys finally found one . Did our , you know , did our stuff on on Broadway . A couple of places there , uh , you know , good time of hanging out and listen to different bands and things like that , but we found your karaoke place .
Speaker 1Barstools Sports .
Speaker 2We went there first Barstools Sports again Went to .
Speaker 1Old Red , which if you've never been to Old Red yeah , they have one , you know obviously in Nashville they actually have one in Vegas , like right there on the strip . That place is amazing . It's a four story , three stories , where you can see the main stage . The fourth story is the rooftop and they have like a country DJ playing a mix of everything . It's an amazing establishment .
Speaker 2Yeah , that was such a great time with stopping at bars , still stopping all red , and then finally hitting up the karaoke .
Speaker 1Yep , and then we had I think we had 10 of 12 soldiers . I mean , it was almost all of them , except for Tenderedit . Maybe he might not have been in town yet .
Speaker 2No , he was there because he had to get Losenfound and Uber back to get his ID . That's right . Losenfound , no ID , no wallet , phone dead . That's right . So Tenderedit did get him an Uber back , got his ID , so Losenfound might have shown up later on , as he always does . And obviously Jamie Farr was away this year .
Speaker 1Losenfau living up to his name .
Speaker 2Oh , I mean , nobody expected anything different . He was Losenfau the whole beginning of the week and then , when he finally gets there , same story right .
Speaker 1So I forgot my wallet , but I have . I have a photo on my phone . Let me see if this works .
Speaker 2Let's see if it'll get me in . I , I supposedly got him into barstool Um , so hopefully none of the barstool . Uh , security is listening to this and stops us next year . But , um , yeah , so you know . But after that he good luck at anywhere else , right ? So uh got his , got his Uber ride from Tinder , did , and . But other than that , I think everybody like you see your point . I think everybody else is at the karaoke bar with us .
Speaker 1Yeah , it was funny . It might've been the hottest karaoke bar in town . It was , uh , it was , it was , it was it was .
Speaker 2It was a , it was a warm week anyways , but I think in there it was definitely a little bit warmer than even probably being outside .
Speaker 1Great thing about that experience we all got to sing Old man Flash . We got to sing him Happy Birthday .
Speaker 2Happy birthday that day , so that was for him to get up there and be able to sing . That .
Speaker 1It's fun to do that kind of thing Did Old man Flash . He turned what 62 ?
Speaker 261 . 61 , I believe he's still arguing that he should play from Old man Flash .
Speaker 1he turned what ? 62 ? 61 . 61 . 61 , I believe , yeah . Yeah , he's still arguing that he should play from senior tees . Right , you know we're still debating that , but it was a great night .
Speaker 2He's probably one of the most fit 61-year-old men , I know I hope I'm there with about 61 , too , same here .
Speaker 1I think we finished that night off at Waffle House , as always , of course , as a tradition .
Speaker 2Yeah , anytime we're downtown Nashville , there's no other place to stop on the way back for food other than Waffle House . I think it took us like four different stops , though . Oh my gosh . Supposedly Waffle House has now gone to in certain areas where- 24 hours , but takeout , but takeout only so we're not a takeout kind of group Nope , we so we're not a takeout kind of group , nope , we need to sit down and have our time at Waffle House . So we finally found one third or fourth stop , and it never disappoints , obviously .
Speaker 1It's the best way to end the night , best way to end the night and you stopped at Waffle House on your way in .
Speaker 2If I'm not mistaken right , I think I hit up Waffle .
Speaker 1House a total of three times that trip . So Monday , the day we got there , this was Thursday . Thursday night , thursday night .
Speaker 2And then I think we did Saturday morning . Yeah , Before draft everybody said let's go get . Might as well do another Waffle House run so absolutely amazing .
Speaker 1So then we have Friday mornings is our annual flag football tournament . Now Right which is again become an event in itself . Both teams had jerseys this year .
Speaker 2Correct Last year , just after the race , which we didn't a little bit disappointed , we didn't have the race two this year .
Speaker 1That's true .
Speaker 2That will be the race . Two will be happening next year . It sounds like Dizzle did want to race . He said give him until next year . Um , so I'm in for it if he wants to . You know , I'll call him out right now on it . If he wants to do that next year , you're here first . Um the race to the race too . We absolutely can , you know . We , you know , can get it done . So , um , you know , like I said , disappointed we didn't have it this year , but it's something that we will have going forward . Uh , and I'm putting on the record now that you know , hey , let's Dizzle . If you want to do it , let's do it bro .
Speaker 1Dizzle Challenge has been thrown , let's do it . It has been thrown out , so the football tournament . We had two injuries . Yeah , so plus one and 44 Magnum .
Speaker 2Pretty early in the game too , and 44 Magnum on my team obviously is our quarterback , yeah , and we don't really have a QB too . So I think we kind of I stepped in there .
Speaker 1Ran full option offense .
Speaker 2We were running wildcat and , you know , did what we could , which ?
Speaker 1the question still out there who's faster Dizzle ? Who was on our team ? Right , You're on their team . You running that option . Just wore us out . It wore us out , it wore us out .
Speaker 2It's , that was it was . It was tough . The . I you know maybe you had some some pain meds in me from the with the broken rib possibly . Yeah , that's true , the the the flak jacket wearing . I was wearing that that they obviously knew I was going to take some hits across the middle .
Speaker 1Let's recap how that game started .
Speaker 2I think you had to pick six . First play of the game . First play of the game . First play of the game . You have to pick six .
Speaker 1And then I have to pick .
Speaker 2And then you had to pick . Yeah , then you I think you guys scored the next drive on offense . Yeah , yeah , you got to pick again and then score the next drive . You're up two touchdowns within minutes .
Speaker 1Which we felt good . Yeah , yeah , the next round , you're up two touchdowns within which we felt good minutes , yeah , yeah and then , and then it came down to you just running us ragged with the option offense after 44 magnum , which I mean we , we , we have a doctor on site , bazinga as a medical professional . I think he diagnosed ken sorry , 44 magnum with a uh plantar fliditis .
Speaker 2That's what the official diagnosis I think was it was bad , it was no good . He was limping around all weekend , couldn't wear shoes , that's right . It was a tough Plus one , obviously you said too . Pretty early in the game they kind of sat on the sideline together and rooted us on , coached us up whatever we needed , got water . It was still hot in the morning of too .
Speaker 1But your team was , so that's back-to-back , years Back-to-back .
Speaker 2Yeah , and I think that there was some controversy at the end whether there's another drive for the team after they scored . Something will get cleared up , I think , as we continue to play it too . I think so , we , as we continue to play it too .
Speaker 1So I think so . So I think we finished that . Had another pool day all day .
Speaker 2We had there I know there was a trip plan to , you know , a group event like we normally do on . Friday . For whatever reason it got . You know something happened . It got canceled . It actually ended up working out great hanging out in the pool with everybody . Just kind of day of rest , just , you know , enjoying everybody's company again . Um , for me those days , like the days in the pool , were some of the best times of the week too . So absolutely .
Speaker 1And then we always end every Friday night with our annual poker tournament , run by the one and only jaws and fences .
Speaker 2There's I mean we , and then we talk about it . I think we talk about it every episode . There's nothing better for poker . Um , such a great time we got Bazinga's Chili this year , we did , and when you have that on poker night , it's just the combination . Is there's nothing better ?
Speaker 1And then I think , Jaws and Vince's . He added something new this year . It was a champ's bounty .
Speaker 2Yeah , it was one of the champs in Sunday . Soldiers was wearing a bounty this year and I think Tenderd's might still be wearing his . He might still be , I don't . I don't know if he's taking it off . We had pictures from a week later that he still had it on , so he did .
Speaker 1Um , I am excited to see you know next next uh draft week next year that he'll probably which is Saturday , which we started that morning out with breakfast at waffle house , which , again , we can't say enough about that place . It's one of our favorites draft day , for us is it's it's probably like a six hour event right , it's .
Speaker 2yeah , it's all day . So I think the waffle house before it was perfect . Can I get everybody ready ? Get going , get the energy , cause it's it's a long process . It get the energy because it's a long process .
Speaker 1It is , it is . So we have again , as we've said many times , we run an auction draft which keeps it interesting , right ? Yep , a lot of auctions being run up Sometimes . Occasionally , you'll have players being stuck with somebody that they didn't want . If you're fortunate enough , you'd be like Rich Bone 007 last year that dropped Christian McCaffrey on himself .
Speaker 2Yeah , that's a tough break there for him . Or you have guys like Mosvett thinks he has players and he doesn't .
Speaker 1That is an annual thing .
Speaker 2That's every year right .
Speaker 1I mean , I thought you were looking at me , I thought he does it every year and again I think I mean draft weekend wouldn't be the same without it .
Speaker 2Oh yeah , it's one of those things .
Speaker 1I think one of the meltdowns he had was it Isaiah . Likely he thought he wanted to get him as a backup .
Speaker 2Yeah , he's . You know I'm trying to handcuff my tight end with Andrews Lowson , found , bids him up and then week one Likely goes off and everybody's like , well , yeah , lowe's and Fountain , nobody's doing . And I think he did end up with him but had to spend a couple of extra dollars .
Speaker 1Oh yeah , that's right . That's right . It came down to the final . Any draft day , winners or losers , that kind of stand out , especially now that we look back four weeks into the season .
Speaker 2Anybody that got a steal , that kind of stands out , yeah I mean obviously yourself , with you know drafting McCaffrey , expecting you know RB1 on the year , hoping that he has a huge year , but very easily could have not ended up with Mason and you ended up with Mason . I know a lot of other guys are , you know , as Niner fans are new with kind of the situation .
Speaker 1So Jordan Mason obviously is as of now he's a top five running back .
Speaker 2Yeah , he stepped right in where McCaffrey would have been doing , so for me that's one that stands out is , you know is a big one . Yeah , there's other couple of other ones too . I mean it's obviously early still , but you got Nico Collins is my pace for almost 2100 yards .
Speaker 1Yeah , he's the leading receiver in Yahoo fantasy by over a hundred yards .
Speaker 2So , um , yeah , so someone that he went for , I think , $29 to 44 Magnum , so this it's still not you know crazy value , but that kind of receiver , if you're not 2100 yards , is going for $70 . So , um , the value that he got him at is is another one . For myself that those are kind of couple that I saw that were huge values this early in the season already too .
Speaker 1I can't believe nobody was paying attention to Jordan Mason , because he went within the last few rounds .

Speaker 1I had saved up . I knew I was going to spend a certain amount because you have to handcuff CMC , knowing just though he's been fairly healthy in San Francisco .
Draft Weekend and Fantasy Football Recap
Speaker 1He's just the number one . He's the most clear cut handicap I think you could get especially with the offense that's ran there .
Speaker 2Like anybody that can step in if someone goes down is going to produce . So , yeah , that there for yourself was huge obviously .
Speaker 1I think it was seven bucks is what I got . If that even , maybe Seven or eight .
Speaker 2Yeah , it wasn't very much obviously for a top five running back the first four weeks .
Speaker 1Oh yeah , can't beat that , but hands down . I mean , we all think we know what we're doing . Draft , draft day . We all think we got the best team .
Speaker 2I think we want to , and and I it's . It's every year I feel like for myself it's like don't know whether to like or dislike my team . It's like after week one it's like , well , maybe you know this could have , so it's it , but it's , you know , we , like you said auction , you know the auction league for us is uh , why anybody does snake anymore , doesn't make sense so it's not as fun .
Speaker 1This , this was the first year I uh shout out to 44 magnum . I watched him draft forever . He has a a certain kind of uh strategy that he does every year and it's one that I cop out on every year and get scared . Uh he . He kind of went against the grain and went an opposite way of what he normally does right it felt like there was more value there than him , him getting his little core core .
Speaker 2Four he's usually got his core three or four . It seems like , like you said , uh , spending more on those guys , and I feel like you want more for value this year and , with the injuries that he's had this year , it might pay off for him to have that little bit more depth .
Speaker 1Absolutely , absolutely Well . What stood out to you , zach , from the 2024 draft when we look back over draft week ? What were some of the highlights or any lowlights ?
Speaker 2Yeah . So I think a couple of things that we've already talked about too is just in the past . It's more of going nonstop , right , I think this year a little bit of a slowdown of like , hey , let's hang out in the pool , let's enjoy everybody Hang out at the Dizzle Estates , and for me that was different than just going nonstop . For me that was a fun part of it this year . Um , obviously we talked about the heat this year . Was was brutal , um , and I think that's probably what had to play into that some as well , uh , of being able to kind of just hang out in the pool . Um , and then obviously the , the , the top cloud , you know top notch hospitality by , uh , by Dizzle and his wife , um , to , you know , a resort , wherever we wanted to go , it's not gonna , we're not gonna have the , the hospitality that we have there . No , uh , especially with all of us there , you know , invading their , their normal life , that's going on , um , for you know , five or six days .
Speaker 1So yeah , I mean , the hospitality at the digital estates is second to none . I think me and plus one had chocolates on our bed . We had a , a towel in the shape of a pillow with with our last name .
Speaker 2Oh , it's , I mean , that's the thing . Things like that is you can't , I mean you can't beat it . It's , it's , uh , it's top notch , it's . It's something different every year Um the water bottles , the Gatorade water bottles that we already see with our names on them . Yes , still use mine . Obviously you know when I'm trying to .

Speaker 2You know throughout the day . So just yeah , you can't , can't .
Speaker 1No , yeah , enough is what they do every year , just absolutely . I mean a few things that stand out . For me is probably lack of sleep stands out the most because we go so much late night , early morning , golf . There's so much activities that you walk away from a week , a draft week , needing time off to just relax .
Speaker 2You need another week off of just recouping from an entire week . Yeah , yeah . And I think the thing that stands out the most to me was Losen , found missing in action . Yeah , we ask every year is he going to make it ? Is this the year ? Um , and I think it was a close , might have been the closest call we had this year .
Speaker 2I think we all had side bets and over and under , you know there was there was we were out to dinner for a birthday dinner on , you know , one of the nights , and we're getting calls . Hey , you know , not sure yeah um , which , by the way , that place was was great . Um , yeah it , I think it was very , you know uncertain , very low-sum found like 100% . It was uncertain this year .
Speaker 1But this is the closest it's ever come to Closest call .
Speaker 2And I think for him to say , he would even say , this is the closest he's came to . Hey , I might be drafting online this year and to make the stakes higher .
Speaker 1The issue was is he's the defending champ ? The stakes higher . The issue was he's the defending champ ? He has the trophy , the travel case and what's running through our minds are we going to have a draft day without a trophy , without presenting that trophy ?
Speaker 2And Bazinga getting the trophy back . Was you know if it was me ? Hey , I want the trophy there . Figure out a way to get the trophy there . Lowson found and he did , he made it . Finally , was Figure out a way to get the trophy there at Lowson Pound , and he did , he made it .
Speaker 1Finally Was it Friday .
Speaker 2I think he made it Thursday night . Thursday after golf , we were all hanging out in the pool , that's right . So yeah , I think he made it that day . He made a couple of crazy catches in the pool , I do remember , so that was the time he made it .
Speaker 1He kept us on our toes , yeah .
Speaker 2And then once he gets there , it's Samuel Olosun found right . Yep , exactly what everybody's expecting , and glad he was able to make it .
Speaker 1Well , I'm glad he made it . It made for a full day of awards . We had the golf trophy going to Sunday Swagger . We've got Bazinga now two-time champ he was the winner of the . Empire Fund . So dude got paid out . And then we have to mention the annual Buzzingo award , uh , which last year went to somebody and he was able to get out of it and he was hands down . What was it he voted ?
Speaker 2for himself . It was 12 to zero because of the blow up from last year , so very well deserved , he took it like a champ . This year it was 12-0 . Speaker 1I've seen more pictures of that award than I ever have in the past .
Speaker 2Yeah , it's more than we've seen in the last couple years , since we've got the new trophy , and so , yeah , I think we'll continue to see it too .
Speaker 1And we have to mention the last place trophy going to myself the Netflix and Chill franchise that is no longer .
Speaker 2That has been renamed New Ownership , that whole thing .
Speaker 1I was presented that award . I'm proud to have it . In fact , I think it was voted upon that award from being the Toil award to the winter's bowl .
Speaker 2What a what a a reward right . So the good thing about that getting that on draft week right For yourself , getting that last place trophy is you get to turn on and draft a new team right away . And we're already four weeks in , like we've talked about , and we'll get to that in just a second , but we're already at from last year . The , the last couple years to now is night and day .
Speaker 1Obviously it's a whole other year to turn it all around , right , absolutely .

Fantasy Football Season Challenges
Speaker 2Like . I feel like everybody's kind of scrambling from the get go of the season . I mean we've got guys that we drafted at high prices . Yourself CMC hasn't even seen the field , right . No . So from the get-go kind of scrambling , who we're plugging in ? Who's out week to week ? Who's out for extended period , who's going on the IR ? I mean we've got a list here . I'll name a couple off Cup , not on the IR , but he's been out for a couple weeks .
Speaker 1He's got Puka . Same position there on the IR , rasheed Rice . Puka went out week one , right he was injured week one . Week one . Kup came in , had a huge game and you thought , oh , this is going to be a big year for Kup .
Speaker 2I know Dizzle was loving it for Kup when Puka went out , but with both of them out now , that offense's kind of been . The reports are been weird . It was a torn ACL right away and they said , well , hold on a second . We're not sure if it is like we won't till next , we don't know till next week for sure , still don't know . So maybe one of a Chiefs Kingdom person gave his ACL up and Rasheed's back out there . You know who knows .
Speaker 1But AJ brown is another one that that has been out .
Speaker 2Uh , isaiah pacheco , which is a huge one right .
Speaker 1Yeah , uh , tua , which you know maybe not so much tua himself , although he does he did put up decent numbers yeah actually , but he affects achian mosert , who's also out uh waddle tyreek , it's just , it's wrecked havoc across the board and then you've had a number of just a game here , a game there , with , like mixin debo , kittle , anthony richardson , keenan allen , I mean you name it , it's , it's . It's tough where you know a lot of the star players at the first four , four weeks that are in and out in and out in and Right .
Speaker 1It really tests your depth and how good of a draft you had .
Speaker 2Right , absolutely . And not to mention too where the first four weeks we have these .
Speaker 2You know a lot of those guys that we just named off first or second round picks , you know per se , uh , high value , um , but now we're getting into there's bi-weeks also , so not to mention that we weren't even competing with the bi-weeks at first , back into week five now , and now we've got bi-weeks with , on top of all these injuries , um , it's going to make it even tougher . Uh , you know , going forward filling rosters , there's going to be guys that are possibly dropped at this point that maybe shouldn't be because people are trying to fill their rosters .
Speaker 1Yeah , no , no , it makes I'm so glad that we have IR spots .
Speaker 2Yeah , Without the IR spots , there's guys that would be out there right now . That definitely shouldn't be . So that's . That was a great addition , obviously , and it should be added , you know know with , with the way things are going nowadays .
Speaker 1So , yeah , and speaking of injuries , when you have injuries , uh , when we deal with free free agency wednesday , the waiver wire we use fabs . We all have a budget . Uh , this year we actually voted in draft to carry over whatever auction dollars into fab right so gave a few people a little bit extra . Um so , with injuries , everybody's on that waiver wire each and every week , and there was one player that probably stands out above all , which was Kareem Hunt . Yeah Right , and JMFR must have wanted him , really , really bad .
Speaker 2He went his full 100 on him he went his full 100 .
Speaker 1I think the story is he thought he put 10 and somehow added an extra zero , yeah , whatever happened .
Speaker 2I mean , kareem looked good last week . I don't know if he was $100 fab . Good yeah , but who knows ? But now he's the clear cut , he should be the clear cut guy there in Kansas City and if he's any kind of form of himself when he was first there in Kansas City , well worth the 100 , obviously , but we'll see .
Speaker 1It's funny at first , but he may be the one laughing at the end because he may have a clear cut , and I mean especially with the Chiefs offense and all the things that they do and all the motions and all the formations and the type of talent that Kareem Hunt is . I mean , with no one really being around him , he has a chance to do good .
Speaker 2The injuries that they have on offense right now , like someone's got to get the rock and he might be the one that kind of steps up and takes it .
Speaker 1Absolutely , absolutely . So let's do a little standings recap , right .
Speaker 2So we're going to go through 1 through 12 , and number one on the board , first place four and oh , is old man flash and he's , you know , newest one in the league . Uh , I guess you want to say fng still yep , um , and has a couple last couple years been rough right like you know last place game or you know last place regular season last year , um , and comes out this year and uh and I think we talked about this before we started recording it's like Richbone 007 last year kind of just flew through the regular season , oh my gosh . And Old man Flash is kind of on that same track as of right now . He's just putting up tons of points every single week . So far .
Speaker 1Yeah , I mean 140 points in our league is a decent amount of points .
Speaker 2Absolutely .
Speaker 1And he's been right at it or above it this whole time .
Speaker 2Yeah , he's been right at it or above it this whole time . Yeah , he's been a great start to the season and for him so far he's stayed relatively healthy .
Fantasy Football Players and Strategies
Speaker 1I mean he's got just a few of the players that stand out . He's got neighbors , which has been absolutely insane . I think he's number Wide receiver two on the season Two yeah , yeah , yeah , I mean he's been absolutely , but he drafted Der Derek Henry and Saquon Barkley , who have just both been nuts .
Speaker 2Yeah , they might be . You know two of the top five running backs , you know going throughout the season . I think they're number two and three and that's a big help right there . And then you throw in neighbors and you throw in , you know , kittle , who's a top ?
Speaker 1two or three tight end oh he's two , yeah , he's two . Top two or three tight ends oh he's two , yeah , he's two .
Speaker 2Yeah , he's definitely got the supporting cast around those two running backs which obviously he was building around . But when you can throw in a couple of other guys like that it makes it a lot easier , yeah he has Hurts as QB .
Speaker 1It's going to be tough for him . This week he's got Hurts on a bye Barkley's on a bye . Malik Neigh is questionable with that concussion that that he had , but Malik neighbors has been off the chart . Uh , coming in in second place is my myself . The hair at three and one . Uh , I can't tell you what a relief it is when you finish 11th 12th and 11 , 12 , 12 , 11 , 12 and get a last place trophy named after you .
Speaker 2Uh , nothing better than starting the season three and one , right , no no 12 and get a last place trophy named after you .
Speaker 1Nothing better than starting the season three in one right ? No , no , it is . It has been . I will say I put in a lot of extra lab time this year . I made sure that I stuck to a strategy in the draft and it's paid off so far .
Speaker 1It has , it has . But I think the thing that has helped me the most was obviously drafted in CMC , who I think went for a dollar more this year than what he went last year . But getting Mason to handcuff him , I mean Mason is a top five back . In fact I think let's see he's number five in Yahoo . And then obviously , the other standout on my team is Alvin Kamara , who leads the running backs . I mean he's just been absolutely like balling . And Godwin is another one that I got for less than $10 . It might have been like $7 or $9 . Godwin has been a standout . So you know , I like my depth , I like where I'm at . I'm doing well . I got a big matchup this week with Dizzle , which thank God he doesn't have Cup .
Speaker 2I was going to say looking at the matchups this week where both of you guys are 3-1 , you know early season games , you know don't think you look down weeks 12 , 13 , and you think those are the different , like these weeks right now are where you know kind of the season is making breaks .
Speaker 1Oh yeah , I mean , if you can get to 4-1 , 5-1 , chances are you've got a decent team . Most importantly , if you can stay healthy this year is the main thing . If you've got depth to kind of fill in , you obviously have a shot . I think you know one player that stands out the most on Dezel's team is Jalen , or Jaden , Daniels .
Speaker 2Yeah , Jaden Daniels , that guy's been Rookie . I mean , I think I saw a stat the other day that the Commanders had not two straight games of no punts and no turnovers . Oh , yeah , first time it's ever been done . It was like 23 straight drives of scoring that they had scored on . It was something you know , just ridiculous numbers that they're putting up over there . He's playing phenomenal Just taking care of the ball . 80% completion percentage that game-stealing TD against Cincinnati .
Speaker 1To Scary Terry , yeah to Scary Terry , third down .
Speaker 2And I think for him , terry McLaurin . He's never had a quarterback like this . He's always been that receiver .
Speaker 1Has still produced even with Correct Lower end lower tier quarterback Sam Howell , yeah I can't even , but jayden is is number one in fin fantasy , um , and so he's really powered . Uh , dizzle's team . I think one player that stands out on his team for me is kelsey , because kelsey the year before went for 55 , had a kelsey , a Kelsey year , as he always does , but I'm not sure if the Taylor Swift effect is happening to him and he just can't concentrate .
Speaker 2Yeah , whether it's that or whether it's getting up there in age , who knows . But I think he's obviously going to hang on to him . You can't really sell off on him . I know last week Rice going down like we've talked about he finally had a decent game .
Speaker 1He hit 15-16 points .
Speaker 2You're still expecting more from him . He still hasn't gotten in the end zone yet . I know Jared Goff's got more touchdown catches than he does . That's crazy . Of course he's going to get involved as the season goes .
Fantasy Football Standings and Player Analysis
Speaker 1Prior to last week , he didn't get above 7.1 points . It was 7 , 1 , and like 6 .
Speaker 2His first three games are kind of a stat line that you would think . For each and every game , six or seven catches for 80 yards was his first three games combined .
Speaker 1Yeah , and Dizzle came in and grabbed Daniels Kelsey . He got Kelsey , I think , for low 20s , compared to last year where he went for 55 , which I know Dizzle was extremely happy I mean , obviously , with his daughter and wife being Swifties , he had to . But he grabbed Metcalf , which is always solid , and he got Cup very , very cheap . So he looked at his team and he thought he was poised , especially after week one . So Cup really hurts him . But we've got a big matchup this week . Dizzle is 3-1 . And then we've got a bunch of teams at 2-2 that are right there in the hunt . In fourth we've got 44 Magnum you Yourself .
Speaker 1Chiefs Kingdom is kicking and clawing and scratching his way into fifth place . Mosved is in sixth , again at 2-2 . Losen found at 2-2 . Jaws and Fences at 2-2 . Rich Bone at 2-2 . So a lot of those teams are in the mix . These next few games are going to be uber , uber important and it's going to be tough too , because not only do you have the injuries but , like you said , we've got bye weeks that are coming up . So if you've got a team where you've got an injury and you've got multiple bye weeks in the same week , it can put you in a pickle .
Speaker 2It really tests your depth , like you said , real early in the season , especially with all the injuries . If you've got guys out and another guy that's on a bye , you're definitely playing the waiver wire at this point . It's a must , right , and I know for myself just losing Rice last week , st Brown , right . So , um , and I know for myself , just , you know , losing rice last week , saint brown on a buy , this week , hoping to pick up wicks this week , and , of course , dizzle beats me out by a dollar on fab and , uh , someone I would have plugged in and didn't get him . So , um , those are the kind of moves , though , that you know can make him break a season , oh yeah the thing is , with our waiver wire , everybody is extremely active , absolutely you're not going to slip anything by anybody .
Speaker 1You have to be willing to spend or you can't fall asleep like old man Flash yeah .
Speaker 2We've already heard some . You know there's been some texts going around that he missed out on someone . I guess , when you're 4-0 , that you can kind of let it go a little bit .
Speaker 1You sound like you're asleep .
Speaker 2Yeah , I mean , you're sleeping . I'd fall asleep easier too if I was 4-0 , probably . But yeah , you look back and hope that he didn't miss on somebody when maybe if you start dropping a couple and it's like shoot , I wish I would have done it right .
Speaker 1Oh , I know . No , I mean it could come back to bite him . The player that we're talking about is Justin Fields , who has been progressively playing better and better , has a really good shot of just being the start of the rest of the year .
Speaker 2He keeps it up .
Speaker 1He has a big game , I think , against Dallas this weekend . He's got the Steelers at 3-1 . I think he had over 30 points last week I had read one of the biggest differences in this performance compared to previous weeks is they were down , so they opened up the offense and let him throw and he really excelled . So if Pittsburgh continues to do that , that $23 fab win by 44 , Magnum no 22 , 22 .
Speaker 1I had it at 23 and I'm like I don't know that anyone's going to spend 22 . I bumped it down to 18 and lost , but old man flash said he was going to spend $25 . It would have been his , so I'm curious to see how that goes . He's got Hurts , which is historically not bad . But , he's had a slow start to the season .
Speaker 2Missing a couple of receivers , but yeah . You would hate to look back and think did that cost me ? Did that cost me a win here and there ? Did it cost me a playoff spot ? Did it cost me a championship ?
Speaker 1I know , I know you definitely don't want that to overshadow such a quick start and rounding out the bottom three . So in 10th place we've got Tenderedit at 1-3 . Bazinga is two-time champions down there at 1-3 .
Speaker 2Josh Allen is obviously not having . I mean he's fifth in qb's but I feel it's like a quiet fifth . Yeah , he's . He doesn't have the weapons . Obviously digs leaves . Um , you know a couple guys come in there and you know you got curtis . Samuel hasn't done anything . Yeah , um , king kade's been a little bit better as of the last couple weeks , but it's like there's not the usual weapons he has . Um , james cook's been good but he's , you know , kind of doing it on his own . But he's , like you said , it's a quiet top five quarterback .
Speaker 1It absolutely is and sitting uh in 12th place at oh and four and trust me , I've got sympathy for that because I was there last year is jmfr uh he's having . I mean the thing is , you look at jmfr's team , right ? So he's got lamar jackson , which is number two , right , yeah , q ? He's got Marvin Harrison Jr , which is not having a bad season .
Speaker 2Yeah , he's top ten , I believe .
Speaker 1Yeah , and Travis Etienne , which I was super high on this year but ended up luckily getting Kamara before that , so I'm extremely thankful for that .
Speaker 2He's got CeeDee Lamb as well , who's quiet , so he's got weapons there that I think he'll be able to turn it around , like you said , playing the waiver wire and try to dig yourself out of that hole , right .
Speaker 1Hey , Kareem Hunt could really help him out . He has one of the better teams . My team that was on the floor did not have this much talent . I reached way too far so he definitely has the option to pull out of it . And again , you know we opened up this season . We're now running seven playoff spots . First six are based on record and then the seventh spot is going to be based on points . So if he scores a lot of points , there's no reason why he can't climb his way back . Then , when you look at all these teams that are sitting there at 2-2 , yeah , he's 0-4 , but he's only two games behind A run could happen .
Speaker 2Yeah , and , like you said , points matter , trying to stack points even as the season goes too .
Speaker 1Yeah , no , no , no . I completely agree . Who are some of the ? I mean talking about standout players this year . Let's look at kind of like the top five . So we've got top five QBs through week . Four is Jaden Lamar , but coming in at three and four is super surprising is Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold . I don't think anybody would have thought .
Speaker 2No , I mean we were talking about it before . Sam Darnold wasn't even , you know , was going to start the season as starter .
Speaker 1JJ McCarthy was supposed to be the guy .
Speaker 2Handed off to him at some point . Mccarthy obviously goes down and Darnold hasn't looked back . Oh , he's just been balling down and Darnold hasn't looked back . Oh , he's just been balling , I think leading the league in touchdown passes , and him and Jefferson have definitely been that connection that nobody was expecting . This third of the season .
Speaker 1And Jefferson really didn't go for that much of a discount . Knowing that they had trouble at QBs , he still went for quite a bit .
Speaker 2So whoever got Jefferson , Tendered , it has Jefferson Definitely . Yeah , it was a gamble because , like you said , wasn't real sure , but he's that kind of talent , though , where obviously it doesn't matter . In Bazinga's words , it's quarterback proof .
Speaker 1Oh , yeah , tyreek hasn't been .
Speaker 2Jefferson has been this year .
Speaker 1He absolutely has been . And then , going through the top five of running backs , we've got Kamara Saquon Barkley , derek Henry Kyron and Jordan Mason , who has just been amazing for the 49ers . I think he leads the league in carries .
Speaker 2He's done it all for them . I mean , like we talked about their team , their injury report has been like an all-pro roster , essentially .

Speaker 2Kittle Hur , you've had Debo , you've had Ayuka slow start because of holding out . You've got CMC , obviously on the hour . It's just been one thing after another injury-wise , and he's been their guy this year . He's been stellar .
Speaker 1Now two things that stand out . You look at the top two teams . You look at Old man Flash and myself . You look at the top two teams . You look at Old man Flash and myself . Old man Flash has the second and third ranked running back right now in points , with Saquon and Derrick Henry , and I've got Kamara and Mason , which are one and five . So they've just been kind of carrying us .
Speaker 2Yeah , between the two of you guys , you've got four of the top five running backs . It explains why you guys are on the top of the standings and it definitely helps when you've got , you know , two of the top five , like that it absolutely doesn't .
Speaker 1Uh , rounding out the top five wide , wide receivers , we've got number one is nico collins , which that team scared me because they have three . They got tank dell nico and stefan diggs , which digs is still having a decent year as well .
Speaker 2Um , and number two mal having a good year .
Speaker 1And number two , Malik Neighbors . I mean , obviously the guy had talent , but playing with Danny Dimes has not been very Danny Dimes , but he has been feeding that guy each and every week .
Speaker 2He's getting targeted like crazy . He is a freak athlete .
Speaker 1Yeah , he is Some of the catches .
Speaker 2he's made this year he's tough to bring down . He as he's made this year . He's tough to bring down , he's like a big body . Yeah , he's kind of that next wave of receivers for sure that we're going to see .
Speaker 1And so yeah , him at number two is . And then you've got Justin Jefferson , Jaden Reed from Green Bay , which is surprising , because obviously you haven't had love for two of the last four weeks .

Speaker 1And then rounding out in top five . We've got Juwan Jennings , which is funny because he's got 64.9 points on the season , but I think 49 of those came in one game versus the Rams . And then top five tight ends . I think this is one of next kickers in defenses . This is the toughest position to roster to get any type of consistency out of it . You've got Goddard , george Kittle , brock Bowers , cole Komet and Pat Faramuth . I hate the tight end position in fantasy football because you never know it's been tough .
Speaker 2I mean you can go out and spend , like you said , $20-something on Kelsey .
Speaker 1He's not even in the top five .
Speaker 2He's not top five , top six , or you can spend $1 or $4 . Komet's a free agent right now and it's tied in four . So , yeah , it's a tough position , Like you said , with the kickers and defenses .
Speaker 1It's just good luck trying to figure it out you know , talking about absent players , players that we thought that people spent on , that we thought , uh would obviously do well . I mean one player that like stands out like if we're talking about qbs , um , you know , you look at where mahomes is ranked . You would have expected more out of him , but he's been absent . I think CJ Stroud we would have expected a lot more from him and we just haven't got it . Kyler Murray , I think we all expected , was going to have a great year . He finished last year super strong after coming off the ACL , the MCL he tore everything .
Speaker 1And Anthony year . He finished last year super strong after coming off . What was it ? The acl , the mcl , like he tore everything um and uh . And anthony richardson is another player . I think everybody thought it's gonna be the second year . You get the russian yards out of it and he's been absent as well yeah , he hasn't .
Speaker 2Uh , he's , you know , turned the ball over a lot . He's not playing well . Um , you know he's got hurt last week , so I think it's uh , yeah , everybody you know , thinking he could be a top five guy this year definitely has not been anywhere near that yet oh yeah .
Speaker 1And then at the wide receiver spot with absent players , you've got tyreek , which the two injury just absolutely killed them . Uh , garrett wilson from the jets is another one . Chris olave is another one that expected big things out of him , especially with that big start that they had . Jamar Chase is there . I think the Bengals' offense is starting to come around . Burrow's been playing better , but still just not much out of them . Same thing in the running back spot . You've got A Chan , which has struggled with that too . You've got A Chan , which has struggled with that too . You've got Etienne . You've got Josh Jacobs . I think people expected a lot out of him and we haven't really gotten a lot out of him . Rashad White coming off an amazing year with just his production that he's had . I mean , that offense is still rolling .
Speaker 2But he's just got . He's kind of in a timeshare now with Bucky Irving .
Speaker 1Yeah , he is .
Speaker 2It's not full-blown , where he had so much . He had so many touches last year , whether it was rushing the ball or catching it . This year it's kind of more been a split .
Speaker 1Kelsey's been another one which he just hasn't been who we thought he would be . We're not sure he's going to ever . He may never come back from that . Who knows , the injury status that Casey has may absolutely help him . Kyle Pitts again so much talent Getting Cousins . You thought , and especially when you looked back at the production that Cousins had with tight ends , he depended on them a lot . And I mean , when you look at Hawkinson , you just got nothing out of him .
Speaker 2I think he had week one . Maybe caught a touchdown Last week . Had no catches . It's funny . I was listening to something the other day . And there's this league . And the league actually made a decision that Kyle Pitts cannot be drafted by anybody , even if he's going off for the season week six , week seven , week eight nobody can even pick him up , just leave him on the waiver wire because it's going to help everybody's mental health .
Speaker 1Yeah , the other player that stands out in there who had a stellar season last season is and his name is escaping me Evan Ingram with Jacksonville . He had a great year last year .
Speaker 2Top five tight end last year and I know he's been hurt this year . But even week one when he was healthy was one catch .
Speaker 1I believe that whole offense has been atrocious . They're a mess there .
Speaker 2I think maybe outside of Brian Thomas , the rookie receiver , who's been good , based off of value , Etienne and Ingram have been Kirk yeah . It's been tough . Etienne and Ingram have been Kirk . Yeah , it's been tough .
Speaker 1They got Gabe Davis , who they expect a lot . I mean they have all the weapons .
Speaker 2Yep , lawrence got paid and they've got some pieces on defense and they've just been a total train wreck over there .
Speaker 1Yeah , no , it's crazy . I think that , like you know , just to recap all of this , the injuries have just been has reared its ugly head for a lot of teams . Bi-weeks are coming up . I think 44 Magnum said that week four is one of the most crucial weeks of the season , which is interesting when you've got as many teams as we have that are at 2-2 . The season's wide open Right now . It's kind of who can stay healthy , who has depth that can get through the injury stuff but also get through the bi-weeks that are going to start to pop up .
Speaker 1Looking at the standings , which team I mean ? When you look at the bottom team , still don't believe that the jmfr is going to stay .
Speaker 2He's got too too much talent right I , I mean , I , I think he has , and I to me , I , like you know , talking about the , the , the bottom teams , I think he's one of the best ones down there when you look at his roster , yeah , and for and for me too , like , and I think tender , they got his first win last week , but you'd look at his roster , you know , if it's Darnold , he's been a great quarterback , you know QB so far , but Jefferson and and he's got Jameson Williams who has , you know , the potential to kind of have a breakout year , but at running back , with Laporta at tight end and Brian Robinson who's been another big running back this year , oh yeah , I think he's got , you know , kind of not a lot , not a lot of depth on the bench , but he's got that starting roster . That could be , you know , kind of dangerous as the season goes on too . So yeah .
Speaker 1And then when you look at the Zingas team at the bottom with , like , josh Allen , tyree kill , josh Jacobs and Jalen Reed , you just see a lot of these teams at the bottom . That I mean their rosters . Look , but I feel like that's how this fantasy football season has gone . All these players that we expected to do well are just not doing it . I still don't see old man Flash stopping . I think Jalen Hurts is only going to get better and as long as Barkley and Henry can stay healthy , I think it's going to mirror what we saw last year out of Rich Bone 007 . I mean , he's got Kittle , he's got neighbors , he's got Diggs , which is , I mean , you know he's done 21-7 , 19-18 , and change in all of those .
Speaker 2So he's going to be stuck to top DJ Moore in your flex in an offense where Caleb Williams is probably just going to get more uncomfortable too . It's not a bad flex spot either to have no , absolutely , absolutely .
Speaker 1Well , that's the season recap in a nutshell . We have a close race , still a lot of teams in it . Gmfr is not out of it at 0-4 . There's still time to turn it around . He's only two games out of fourth place and so anything can happen Again . We'll see where the injuries and the bye weeks take us . So that is our recap of our 2024 draft .
