SPEAKER_00And now let's talk some hats. Like I mentioned last week, we had a spiffy new sponsor. Josh is rocking the new white Beaves cursive hat with the rope I got last year's Beaves hat, man. Beaver State hats is a new sponsor of Chainsaw Crew, and I cannot wait to wear my new one. Josh has got them, so I can't wait to get to California so you can chip them to me. Use all the chainsaw crew resources you possibly can. It helps us, it helps them, and we appreciate them so much. But Josh, man, we've uh we've been through the ringer tonight, obviously. We've been trying to get through some things technically. If you guys don't know, uh obviously on YouTube, it's a it's a pretty little uh landscape now. If you compare it to our last year videos with Zoom, they're kind of ugly, right? You're just kind of not really watching anything. We have some decent things going on here with StreamYard, but it can cause some issues every now and then. It takes a lot of bandwidth for sure, but we're gonna try to battle through this as much as we possibly can. Josh Buddy, how are you doing? I know you've been busy recently, as always, but let us know how you're doing, man.
SPEAKER_01I'm doing good. Listen, this is about as far as we made it tonight in the hour and a half we've been trying to record this. So this is a dub so far to start the week for the beaves. So here we go. We're gonna get it started. It's we've had uh we've been busy. Um black football was supposed to start tonight, but uh some air quality issues with some wildfires said hold your beer, and so we'll hopefully get a get a practice in before we get some rain uh Wednesday. But life's crazy, man. We just got back from uh taking the kids to Disneyland, and I can confirm it is not the happiest place on earth because that was a wild three days in Cali doing that. So uh, but on the flip side, we can uh hopefully start seeing some happiness here in Oregon State and with this Oregon State football team as they head down to take on the Houston Kooks, Rob, this week. But before we get there, what's going on with you? Let's check in with Rob before we kick it off here.
SPEAKER_00Well, I have uh here, I got a bunch of uh moving boxes here. We got a bunch of large ones. Uh there's I mean, there's stuff everywhere in here, dude. We're getting ready to go. We leave in a week. So uh it's my fiance's birthday on Saturday. So I will not be making the drive over to Houston for the game. Um, bummer, I know, but it's her 30th, man. It's a big time day. We're also doing like a get like a going away barbecued kind of day. My buddy Drew is gonna be smoking up a brisket. So it's gonna be a good time. We'll be uh we'll be watching a lot of college football on Saturday, celebrating Britney and celebrating us, leaving the great state of Texas, and hopefully we high ended on a high note. Maybe the Beavers can make some noise on Saturday and really make it a great day. But yeah, man, it's it's it's like becoming so surreal. Like we are leaving, we're going back to the West Coast, and couldn't be more excited, man. I'm I'm already thinking about like how many times can I go up to Corvallis and do what I need to do every single season, dude. Like, I'm so excited to come back and be closer. Like, I'll be closer to Fresno State, obviously, too. San Diego State's not that far. So I'm I'm really, really excited just for this new conference, the new football season ahead of us as well. And I we're gonna do some in-person change talk crew shows eventually, right? We've tried in the past, but you know, shocker, we had some tech technical difficulties. Really, what a surprise. Shocker, right? But we'll do it. We will absolutely do it. We'll probably go live at some point this season as well. As long as we can trust this connection, you know, we will absolutely do it, and it'd be great to interact with you guys during the show, too, as well. So uh keep an eye out for that. Maybe later in the season when I'm settling into our new place in California, we can go from there. Um, but yeah, man, it's it's it's surreal time, it's crazy time, it's also really exciting. It's the best time of the year just getting into football season. But unfortunately, Beaver Nation lost a couple of legends, man. And it's it's been it's been a tough couple of weeks for beaver fans losing former head coach Dave Cragthorpe and former voice of the Beavers, Daryl Oni, man. Uh obviously Josh and I weren't really around for Daryl's time as a play-by-play voice for the Beavers, but hearing the stories recently about him and just how just how intense he was during his basketball calls and just how great he was during the Beaver games, uh Mike Parker had a funny story. He said last season during the two and ten year for the Beavers, he's just like, I can't believe Daryl did this for 28 years. I mean, so many bad teams that he called, but he told great stories throughout those games, and he was always positive throughout the entire thing, and he always had Beaver basketball to kind of rely on. And and Coach Cragthorpe, man, just hearing Eric Wilhelm and a bunch of former players for him talking about the way he coached and how good of a man he was as a coach, he did a lot of good things for Oregon State football. They didn't obviously turn in a winning season at any point, but I don't think really anybody could in the mid-80s for Oregon State football. It was an extremely difficult time to be coached in that football program, but he did a lot of good things, including that 1985 upset win over Washington. And I have a video for you guys that is uh about minute and 40 seconds here. It kind of touches on both coach Craig Thorpe and uh Daryl Aani. It is voiced by Steve Priest. It is from a YouTube page that I've been watching for years, so I hope you guys enjoy it.
SPEAKER_02October 19, 1985, with backup quarterback Rich Gonzales at the controls, Oregon State was the 37-point underdog. The Seattle medium had ridiculed the Beavers' chances all week.
SPEAKER_00Man, obviously not great times for We can study football in the mid-80s, but a really great day and a huge upset. A lot of people argue that it is the greatest upset in college football history. And just Dear Lonnie, man, what a what a guy. What a what a legacy he left behind. And uh he will not be forgotten anytime soon. And I hope the uh jumping up and down Martha's, they can give him a good shout out this season as well. So he'll be missed, man. He's a legend. I know the 98 Civil War call. That one really rings true to me as well. Uh Simon around the corner, just let me win the TV war. It's it's he's his high-pitched voice, man. It was the best. Uh, he'll be missed along along with Coach Cragt Thorpe, man. He did a lot of great things for I can say football. So hearing the stories about them and just how they how they're gonna be remembered for the rest of this football season is gonna be really touching. But as we move on into football season, man, week zero is behind us now. We had a handful of games. College football was played over the weekend, and Josh Buddy, I know the uh ripping uh factors and ripping topics of college football has been USC and their lack of support in their first game against San Jose State. And another account on X kind of brought the receipts. They said uh USC's played San Jose State plenty of times. Here's a clip from 2009 when San Jose State came down to the Coliseum and it's filled to the brims, dude. It's it's almost sold out, it looks like. And it was about the same temperature back then as well. The excuse of these USV USC fans has been like, it's El Nino, it's been humid, we've had a heat wave. And I'm like, dude, come to Austin, come to Mississippi. You want to go to Florida? You want to go to a game in the SEC? It's hot the whole year. Like, where these excuses are pathetic. And I don't know if you saw, but Coach McGuire said, like, I'm so thankful that we play in Lubbock, Texas, that we're guaranteed to play in front of 60,000 people every single weekend. But hey, coach, unless you have a lightning delay, everybody leaves. But uh, other than that, yeah, you have a pretty consistent group of fans at your games. Uh, what do you think about USC, man?
SPEAKER_01Listen, I was in the heat in Anaheim at Disneyland, bro. So there's zero excuse for this game to have zero people there. It's embarrassing as a football program, right? I we talked about this culture for Oregon State. I'm gonna flip it back to the beats here. This culture for Oregon State, and this is exactly what you don't want to happen when tech comes in next week, right? You don't want Reese looking like that because that means people haven't bought into Shep. I think everyone has bought into this point to him. Is it going to translate and onto the field this week? We'll see. But as a college football program that's supposed to be a top-tier college football program in the University of Southern California, what a joke, right? Like it it's it's embarrassing. Like it, I think John Canzano tweeted it, and he just tweeted a picture uh as they were running out in the field, and he said something about uh they should have had every single fan down on the field, like high-fiving the team and coaches as they came out. Like, but for real, though, like that's just what it felt like. It was it was a complete embarrassment for that program.
SPEAKER_00And also, too, flip side of that is Stanford against Hawaii at home. Yeah, to vita Pritchard's debut as a head coach. He's a former Stanford quarterback, and they just I don't know why they built such a big stadium. And that was my next thing, too, about USC. It's like the Coliseum's pretty old, man. Like, why don't they maybe think about building a smaller facility in a better area just so it looks better, man? I know people gave Oregon State so much crap, you'd be like, oh, you guys are downsizing Reese's Stadium to make it look nicer. And it's like, I mean, look at the trends on the West Coast of college football, man. Like, attendance is down, man. And I think it's you know, it's it's a credit of a lot of different things, right? Everything's expensive right now, right? There's no denying that gas is really expensive on the West Coast for sure. And just getting to games is mainly not the best scenario for a lot of families. But I think uh this is where Oregon State can really hang its hat on. Kevin Griffin, the AD at Oregon State, has hung his hat on cheap tickets. We're one of the cheapest FPS games that you can get to throughout the entire year. I don't know if you guys follow G Fed on TikTok. He's he's a pretty good follow. He breaks down a lot of things about the most expensive season tickets and like the most affordable. Oregon State's in the field of most affordable. You can get into most games for less than $40. I mean, what else do you want? There, and again, there's no excuses. And if you live in the Portland metro area, we got you with damn trips, man. Hit them up, go get you a charter, get down to the game safely. A DUI costs twenty thousand dollars, they'll save you a bunch of money there, too. So you know you don't want to be running in those situations, man. You don't want to be um uh Keenan Allen recently with the clubs. Crazy. But hey man, we got Houston on Saturday. Early kickoff for the West Coast folk. It's gonna be an 11 a.m. kick local in Houston. It looks like we might dodge some really hot weather in Houston. It's gonna be muggy, obviously. It looks like lightning is in the forecast for like the rest of the week in Houston. It might be later in the day on Saturday, but we'll see. It could be a factor in that game. We could potentially see another issue of lightning delays. But I think that again, it should have played into the hands of Oregon State last year in Texas Tech when everybody left, but it just didn't really matter. Those guys didn't really want to show up to play anyway. But Houston, this team won 10 games last year, Josh. Coach Willie Fritz is building something pretty special in H Town, man. 10-3 last season, five and one in one-score games, and they had a win over LSU and the Texas Bowl to get that 10th win. They're coming into 2026 with a seven and a half over-under win total. And uh honestly, their non-conference slate is uh pretty much a cakewalk besides Oregon State, I would say. They got like Southern, and then they go on the road to Georgia Southern, which is a really weird matchup for them. But Oregon State is absolutely their biggest non-conference test. Their conference slate is pretty tough. They got to go to Tech, they got to go to Kansas State, they got to go to Utah. So it'll get tougher for them for sure. And hopefully the Beavers can find themselves punching them in the mouth early on in the game, a lot like they did last year in Corvallis, but this time hopefully they can finish the job, right? Uh like I got 27-24 in overtime last year. Beavers had them on the ropes, Josh. That was one of the more painful. That was probably the most painful game of last season, I would say. I think out of all the heartbreaking, just gut-wrenching losses, that one was that was the one where it was like Trent Bray probably isn't the guy.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, for sure. I mean it's it was a combination of everything that could go wrong, went wrong, and it was just every decision that was made, it just so quickly, too, right? Yeah, just was the wrong decision. And there was no it felt like I don't want to call out effort, but there was just no effort to stop the bleeding anywhere.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and and you're up by two scores or six minutes to go, and it's just like the the offense just like mailed it in. They're like, Yeah, we're good.
SPEAKER_01We're done. Yeah, it's just it we talk about the unexcusables. You can't have that this year, and we're gonna we'll talk about this, but you can't have that this year. You can't, it just has to be that uh that switch has to be flipped from the get-go. And Shep talked about it in the press conference this this afternoon, and I'm sure we'll hit on that here in a little bit. But from this start, start to finish, it has to be so much better, it has to be so much cleaner for this team this year.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and the Houston Cougars are returning a lot of production as well, especially on offense. They added some really nice pieces in the portal. We'll talk about that as well. But the expectation expectations are pretty high for the Cougars. Uh, watching the Big 12 Media Day, they have a lot of people behind them and thinking they can repeat success from last year. Because look, man, when you have a 10-win season the next year, especially when you go 10 and 3, right? People are expecting a lot out of you at the next season. They they do lose some guys to the NFL. They lost a little bit of their defensive backfield as well, but they replaced a lot of guys as well in the portal. But one thing is for sure, Connor Wegman is back at quarterback, and he was a 65% thrower last year, 2,700 yards with a 25-9 touchdown to interception ratio. The 6-3 quarterback can also do a lot of running. But honestly, the 2025 Beaves held him in check actually really well last season, didn't really get him around, and they contained him in the pocket, made him throw the ball quite a bit. And he still had a pretty good day overall, especially towards the end of the game. But at first, it was they bottled him up pretty good. And I don't think Houston was quite ready to play yet in that weird kickoff time for them, late, and they just they took a while to get going. But they also added former Tulane and Oregon running back, Makai Hughes. He lands back with that two-lane coaching staff at University of Houston. And obviously, Makai got buried at Oregon at that depth chart. They were kind of speaking highly of him early on at Oregon, but it just didn't happen for him. He was a monster at Tulane, dude. Like ran for almost 2,800 yards in two years. He is going to be a problem for a lot of Big 12 defenses, and he could be potentially a problem for Oregon State's defense if they do not slow down the run game. DJ Butler is another running back that we saw a little bit last year against Oregon State, and we will see him out there as well. The receiving room for Houston, man. This is where this is their bread and butter. This is where they're going to make a lot of noise this year. They have an incredible one-two punch. Obviously, Amari Thomas is back. He had a huge game in Corvallis. And I think he went six catches for 104 yards against the Beaves last year. So he was really good. He burnt Trey Glasper a couple of times, unfortunately. And that was unfortunate to see from the young buck corner. But as we know, old friend Trent Walker and Jamarcus Shepherd spoke about him. How the Beavers cannot be worried about Trent Walker. They need to be worried about Trent Walker like they're worried about their left guard, like they're worried about their really talented safety room and all that stuff. So he had a good answer about Trent Walker and just being, you know, emotionally stable. Okay. Don't be too high, don't be too low about this. You shouldn't be too fired up to face a former guy like that. I mean, I know Trent loves the Beaves a lot and he's he's just doing what's best for him going to Houston for sure. But I hope we shut him down, man. I hope he does not have a good game. Maybe he has another fumble like he did against Wazoo last year. Maybe he has a couple of drops in big spots. Uh he was he was so reliable for us last year, right? He was like the only guy really doing anything on offense for the most part, besides like Hankerson. But if we can slow him down and and Amari Thomas is going to get his catches, right? I think, Josh, for this defense for Oregon State, as as much as we don't know about them, it's just limiting Amari Thomas, right? If he has a big catch, let's get him down on the ground before he gets in the end zone and just make them snap it again, see if we can bend and not break. Obviously, they lost Tanner Coziel to the NFL, but uh this Houston offense, what what really worries you with this with this team, Josh, going into Saturday?
SPEAKER_01Obviously, the the the big question mark is how is this defense for the Beaves gonna show up, right? And how can you stop Connor Wegman? And are are is the defensive line going to be able to put pressure on him and put pressure on him efficiently to make him make those irrational errors that you want the this line to to to give him? And I I I think uh obviously Trent, like you said, he uh shout out to Trent Walker, he was our dude all last year, and he felt like the only saving grace the whole year. But we we talk about these things, and I know for the coaching staff and for the players, they're probably yeah, it's it's just Trent Walker, but uh like you said, like shut him down, like that it would be just the most fitting thing, full circle moment for for this team right now. And if the Beaves can go out there and they can cause pressure, uh turn over the ball, get a couple sacks. Listen, this these are all keys, all recipes for success for this defense, right? Giving the offense opportunities, extra opportunities to go out there and move the ball down the field. We'll get into it here in a few seconds about you know the real keys to possibly getting a win this Saturday, which would is crazy to think about. But how do you limit these mistakes on both offense and defense to give your give yourself a chance late in that game to maybe run out of Houston with a dub?
SPEAKER_00It'd be incredible. And if they can turn the ball over a little bit, I think they if they win the turnover margin and they find themselves with a lot more short fields. I think last year the Beavers got themselves in trouble just way too often, even the last two seasons, honestly, just getting themselves in trouble with very long fields ahead of them. And special teams obviously killing them on defense as well. Just good returns, setting up your defense to fail with the short field for the other team's offense. So So having to shore that up this season is going to be really, really important. And it starts on Saturday because look, man, Houston up front, you're going to hear the word Tulane a lot. They have a lot of Tulane transfers, okay? Their best guy on offensive line is Shadray Hearst, who he got a pretty good chunk of change at NIL to come from Tulane and join his coaching staff again at Houston. He's their left guard. On the flip side of things, on the defensive line, Brandon Mack, the second is back. He had a half a sack last season of the game against the Beavers, along with seven total tackles. And they added another Oregon transfer in Ashton Porter and an Oklahoma State transfer into Marion Thomas. Okay. Oklahoma State's defense last year was horrendous. Okay. I adding a guy from Oklahoma State isn't going to really write anything home, honestly, for me. They were terrible last year. Ashton Porter was a guy, another guy, kind of like my guy who's at Oregon, just really baring their depth chart. So these are the kind of things, because we've seen this a lot at Oregon State, right? We get guys in the portal, we're like, ooh, Oregon. Ooh, Oklahoma State. Oh, BYU. Like, oh, we're getting guys from these big time schools. And then they come in here and they don't do anything, right? Uh uh DJ Westlack from Missouri, you're like, this guy could be pretty good. And then a stud in the game, though. In the video game, he was an unbelievable. Yeah. And I'm I'm trying to, you know, back off because I've been playing the new game a little bit. And I'm like, dude, Aaron Hampton, Bubble Hampton is a stud in the game. Hold on. Hold on. I gotta watch him play in real life first. But Ashen Porter and Demarion Thomas, like if they can be productive for them in the interior defensive line, they'll be a pretty good squad, right? But I think that's that's a lot to ask from those two guys, especially new guys coming into that group. And then that linebacker, too, for them, Jaden Yates comes from Ole Miss. Another one, you're like, ooh, Ole Miss, right? But it's like, why are you going to Houston? Okay, and then Sioni Foto is back also. He had 15 tackles against the Beavers last year. So he'll be like their main mic, their main stud linebacker, right? And then the secondary has new two two new faces coming in, Jalen Mayo from Steven F. Austin. And then again, Tulane transfer, Javion White. So lots of solid playmakers in this group. But Josh, man, how can we expose the Houston Cougars on Saturday? How can we make this a ball game?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we've talked, I've talked about it a little bit already, kind of doing some uh foreshadowing, but the offensive tackles can be beaten by a good edge group, and that starts with Tary Hickel. Needs to show up in a game like this. We we talk about big games and setting the standard in the Shep era. This is how you do it right here. Defensively, uh I think in both of our opinions, the Cougars are going to have to play perfect in order to find themselves in a Big 12 championship race. You have to put pressure. Rob, this is massive. You have to put pressure on Connor Wegman. You have to. There's just no way you go into this without and thinking you're gonna win without putting any kind of pressure on any quarterback the whole year, right? So, how do you effectively do that going on going into this game? Oregon State should be able to run the ball against this Houston front. We don't see a lot of production out of uh their interior line and their andor their land uh linebackers. Do not abandon the run if you get in trouble, okay? You have to try to play this game as smoothly as you can, passing and throwing. You you you can't just abandon one if it's not there, and we saw that it felt like with Gundy last year, is it was just going to be run, run, run, and you weren't going to see anything unless it was third and 25. We're forgetting pass and punt, pass and punt. Listen, I was getting there. We can't forget the pass and punt in there, but third and 25, like it was obvious passing downs, you got to avoid those situations at all costs. This this team, this Houston team's good, they're they're well coached, and you saw last year what they did. I believe they're going to have another very successful season going in and into this year. And not that there's any hype against Oregon State going up against Oregon State and the Bees right now, but just like Oregon State, this is a tone uh tone-setting game for both squads, right? This is a game that could vault Shep's era tremendously going forward. And also on the flip side of that, if the Beaves lose and it's competitive, I think that keeps that momentum going for Shep. And I think that's all we're asking this week is keep this game moment uh competitive and keep it close. And that that's all I'm asking coming into this. Another thing is uh Houston lost three major secondary pieces to the NFL. You kind of touched on that already. Can Brayden expose those? You can't let this Houston defense sit on the short throws. You just can't. You have to take down the field shots. Eddie free off. Who's it gonna be that steps up to make that? Are you going to have a tight end that's gonna step up and make those plays downfield? You have to keep this defense on its feet at all costs, right?
SPEAKER_00Because Josh, look, like what does any new fresh quarterback, especially starting a new season with a new team, what do you think they're gonna want him doing early on in the game to get comfortable?
SPEAKER_01Short throws, throw it short, short passes just so we can get into a rhythm.
SPEAKER_00Start him four for four, five for five with like 15-20 yards, right? So I think Houston knows that going in too. So I think this is an opportunity, right? It may not be short game with Bubba Hampton and Aaron Butler, Xavion Nolan, those guys. It might be short game with like Eric Olson. It could be like, let's throw the ball to AJ Newberry, let's get these guys in space and let's turn this short throw into a long throw, right? That's what I mean. DJ Ui Ungodale's longest throw for the Beavers was a screen pass to Anthony Gould, and he took it to the house, right? So it's like you need that kind of factor in your offense, right? Make that short throw a big play, right? And I think if if the beavers can do that, if they can find themselves getting chunk plays on those types of short, easy completions, we could find ourselves in a ball game for sure.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I I think also adding on to that is don't be afraid to take those shots, right? You get Braden comfortable and he and he's cooking, don't be afraid to take those shots, don't be afraid to run play action. Another question I have going into this uh, does the FCS production translate? We'll find out, and there's no greater test than this, right here, right? These next two weeks will tell you just how elite Braden was at the FCS level. I don't want to give my score prediction away. I I fully I fully believe Braden can go out there and do this, and I think there is a recipe for this to be successful. He needs time in the pocket. That's one thing we did not see a lot last year. You this offensive line has to be so committed to giving him time, and there's nothing we just talked about, there's nothing more uh fulfilling and giving yourself that confidence than hitting that quick 10-15 yard pass, right? You can't just sit on it though. You gotta you gotta mix it up and you gotta be confident with what you're doing. I have full confidence that Braden can do this.
SPEAKER_00I think with Braden, I think it's gonna be that first third down that he faces where it's hey, it's third and passing, and we need you to make a play. And if he can do that early on, that's when you start to build that confidence, right? It's it's really you don't want to be in that third and 14 where it's like you know, we probably need to just run a draw play and get out of here because I don't want to ruin our my young quarterback's confidence. Guys, he's only 19 years old. He just turned 19 years old, okay? And it's not like the Houston fan base is gonna be, oh, it's gonna be crazy. No, they don't really have a fan base down here in Houston, okay? They don't really care about football down there, they're more of a basketball fan base, okay? So it's not gonna be a crazy environment. It's it's gonna be hot for sure. It's gonna be muggy down there, but it's not gonna be, you know, over the top. It's not gonna be like going to Oregon, it's not gonna be like going to Boise State or going to Wazoo, right? It's it's gonna be it's gonna be all right. It's not gonna be crazy out there. There is a lot of hype surrounding this Houston team for sure. Will that mean their fan base shows up to their first game? I don't know. I've seen Oklahoma State completely take over that stadium and they made it a complete home game for the Polks. Obviously, I don't think Beaver Nation is gonna travel like that to Houston, but I don't think it's gonna be a crazy environment for Braden to step into. Yeah, they're a top 25 team for sure. It's gonna be a lot us, it's gonna be like five or six steps up from like Stanford. It's not gonna be like that or USC, you know. I think it's gonna be a little bit more than that. But if we get them comfortable early on, we could see this confidence grow, man. And you just need to have productive drives, right? They don't always need to end in points for sure. They just cannot end in turnovers. You cannot give them a short field. If you have a let's get a few first downs here, let's flip field at the very, very least, and let's get AJ Windsor in there. Let's place it inside their five-yard line and make Houston go the long way. I'm so sick and tired of watching the Beavers go the long way on offense. Let's make the other team do that for the rest of the for the whole for the whole season. I want that to happen. I want our special teams to be a weapon and not just a complete dud and a complete pile of manure like it was last season, dude. It was pathetic last year. So I need that, I need that to translate into Saturday for sure. And yeah, and yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01I didn't mean to cut you off. You're good. I think being methodical with the drives on offense, also, right? Yeah, I miss those drives that take eight, nine, ten minutes, right? Those are huge, especially against a team uh that has such uh high offensive power like Houston does and Connor Wegman, right? In the wide receiver room. Yeah, how do you slow them down? You hold on to that ball on offense, and the the flip side of that is you're you're keeping the defense off the field for a long time, also. And those are two big wins right there, right away. So, how how does Braden and this uh offensive co under Dalin call this game? I think that's what I'm excited to see is how methodical they're going to be because it it seems like in these pressers that Dolan's pretty methodical when he when he talks and when he speaks. Show me, you're right. Gundy didn't do it. Gundy was blah blah blah blah blah. I don't really care, right? Dalin, he just has that edge to him. And I think that's what's different about this staff this year. And I don't want to sit here and rant about the staff, but it's just there's just an edge to this staff. Everyone that you you hear speaking, if it's McIntyre on defense, whoever it is, there's the it it they just let's go. Like, we want to play some football, we're ready for it. Let's do it. Yeah, but but punch me in the face and I'll punch you right back. So yeah, uh, I you have a couple other notes. I'll let you finish it out with the running back room and what they did this last year against Houston and how they can be successful going forward this week. Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_00Remember, remember who had the breakout game against Houston last year? It was one of those running backs where you're just kind of like, oh, big Cornell Hatchers having a big game today. That's interesting. Remember uh Marquise Crosby had a touchdown last year against Houston? That was like the only game we ever saw him in. Pretty crazy. But Cornell had his breakout game against Houston last year for sure. He ran the ball to five and a half yard rate with 17 carries for almost 100 yards. And then the Beavers ran as a team for 189 on this Houston front last year. They just couldn't do it late. You know, it was that six-minute mark where Gundy tried to deflate the clock out and it didn't work. And they completely could not run the ball at all in the overtime. They tried to go for it in that fourth down. Cornell got stuffed, and the rest is history. But the Beavers show that they can do a lot of good things against this team last season. And like I mentioned before, man, this interior defensive line, they have good edges for sure. I don't want to undersell that. They have a very good edge and they have a good secondary. It's the linebackers and the interior defensive line where I think the Beavers can get after this kind of group. It's not like our offensive line is little, okay? And it's not like our defensive line is small. We have one of the heaviest defensive lines in college football this year. I think that's these are good things, right? You want to be stronger and bigger than the other side of it. And you want to match up against teams like Houston and Texas Tech, Boise State, those types of schools, right? Having that size up front and getting after maybe some weaker defensive lines, especially in the interior side of things, can really, really help this Oregon State squad going forward. And I think that's the main thing of where Oregon State can expose Houston on defense is hey, you guys won 10 games last year. Great. We were up by two scores on you with six minutes to go last year. Who cares? It's a completely different squad. We got AJ Newberry now, other than Cornell Hatcher, which you're familiar with for sure. It's not Malik Murphy back there anymore. It's it's Braden Atkinson now. Our receiving core, this is not Zach Card. This is not uh this is not David Wells, right? These are way different athletes now, completely different squad, right? And dude, shout out to Zach Card, man. He's playing well for Idaho so far. Um, pretty cool to see for him, honestly. I'm glad he found a home in the FCS. But yeah, man, I these matchups for this for this game on Saturday. Really, really curious to see because the hype surrounding this cougar wide receiver room, right, Josh? It's Thomas and it's Amari and it's it's it's Walker and it's they have it, they have a lot of experience for sure. Amari and Trent have played a lot of football games at receiver. But there is something that Oregon State can lean on on defense for sure. It's experience. This team has a lot of experience on defense. Okay, Trey Glasper played every game last year as a true freshman, a young kid. Side Reg Wale, he played a ton of snaps for Oregon State the last two years, three years. He's played a lot of football. TJ Crandall is a veteran player. Obviously, he was out all last year with the injury, but he's been around the game for a while. Okay, he's a veteran guy. Nothing really gonna scare him at all. He's a very solid corner for us. Harlem Howard played a lot last season. If Noble Thomas can get back out there, he's gotten a lot of snaps out there. So if there's anything that Beavers have, it's experience. They have guys who have played a lot of football. So the the main thing, the main thing is the main thing. We have to stop their receiving core. We have to at least slow them down. I don't think stopping is gonna be even possible for this for this team. But slowing down, limiting. Okay, Amari Thomas, he's gonna have a big day if you let him have a big day. The guy that I'm not that worried about about you know, running after and running away from guys is obviously Trent Walker. We know he doesn't have that type of speed. We know he's gonna catch it and maybe make one move and then probably go down. Okay, he's a sure-handed guy for sure. But if there's one of the two guys that I want them throwing it to consistently, it's probably Trent. Because I feel like he's a guy that we're not worried about him running away from us. I'm worried about Amari Thomas running behind our safeties, right? Which he did last season too much. So keep them, keep them down, man. Try to tie the ropes down a little bit on those two guys and just try to keep them at bay at best, okay? And then, like I mentioned earlier, man, the Beaves O-line against the Cougars D-line. What is this group going to look like for the Beavers? If they can find some rhythm at times in this game, it'll be really, really important for building some positive momentum going forward for the rest of the season, okay? How is Carter Gillam gonna look at center? Okay, obviously Van Willis probably can't play in this game. How is uh Timo Taylor gonna look at tackle? Is Tyler Volton gonna be explosive like he was a couple of years ago? That's gonna be really that's gonna be the that's gonna be my main point for the offensive side of the ball is what does our offensive line look like? And are they firing off the ball? Are they doing good things and pushing guys back at all? Um they're probably gonna run into some issues every now and then for sure. Again, Houston has good edges, but I think if we can push around Houston a little bit, we'll feel a lot better about ourselves going into Texas Tech where it's gonna be really hard to push around those guys. So uh, Josh, man, that's the Houston Cougars for the most part, okay? This obviously isn't the Houston Cougars podcast. Uh shout out to all the YouTube videos that I watched over the week to try to get some information on these guys. Uh, because no coaches are talking about their team this early in the season. Everyone likes to withhold information. So um, you guys are getting it from a guy who watched like 15 YouTube videos about the Houston Cougars. So hopefully you have knowledge about this team going into Saturday, and you can thank the boys at Chainsaw Crew for doing that if if anything. Um, but let's get into our keys of the game, Josh. Go ahead. Give me the give me your three.
SPEAKER_01Have you heard of uh PDA before? Yeah. Have you heard of PPA? Have you heard of pass pressure adversity, Rob? Have you heard of that before? Listen, uh now I have. Here's my keys, K. Pass. Can Braden be an efficient passer? Here it is. Buckle up, Braden. Like, this is this is what you signed up for coming into Corvallis in this week one and two tests. Can you be efficient? I'm not asking him to be efficient at a high rate, okay? Be efficient when you need to be, right? You talked about it, I've talked about it. Third downs, you gotta be efficient. Those those third downs where they will extend drives will be huge in this game, and it really could be a game changer in a game like this. Pressure. Can the defense cause Houston's front and Connor Wegman to be uncomfortable? That defensively, that's all I'm asking for is just put pressure on the quarterback. I don't care how you do it, what you draw up, what the different blitz packages are. You have to do it early and you have to set the tone. I think if you come into this game and you set the tone defensively and you can play four quarters of good defense of defensive football, you there's a chance you sneak out of there with a win. I'm not asking you to go in there and be great. I'm not the the talent gap, is it just feels like it's a little too much right now. Just go in there and be good for four quarters. Now, adversity, Rob. When crap hits the fan, how does this team handle it? Because last year I would have told you, I can tell you exactly how this team would have handled it. They would have took the dog behind the barn, and that was it. That's what they did. I don't know if it's a dog, horse, whatever it is. You can't. You have to be so much better mentally this year. And I think Shep and this coaching staff has got this team in a great mental state. Now, how does it translate on Saturday when you get punched in the face first? Can you go back and can you answer that punch? Can you go out there and punch him right back in the face and say, hey, whatever, you took the ball down the field, I'm gonna go shove it right down your throat. So those are my three keys coming into this Saturday. Rob, what are your keys to success this weekend?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, same thing, man. With Braden Atkinson, this is a really tough first test for the young man. We got to get him comfortable. Get Braden Atkinson comfortable and just let him find his way through it. Yeah, he's been in the doghouse out there in Auburn, man. He was he was facing a tough, good defense that had been playing together all season, and he looked pretty good for the most part. And then he turned in a really bad playoff experience the next week, right? He threw like four picks in his playoff game. Can we get him comfortable and can we make him make easy decisions? I don't want him processing too much in that pocket. There's gonna be a lot of things going on. His mind's gonna be racing. Yeah, he's a football junkie for sure. But when you're out there, it's a completely different story. Watching film and playing the game are two different things. So we got to get him comfortable, got to get him confident, and then some special things could happen for sure. My next one is turning some sacks early on. No garbage time sacks. I'm talking first quarter, second quarter sacks. If we can't get pressure with the defensive line up front, the the four guys up there, let's bring a linebacker. Let's bring a nickel, a safety, whatever the case is. Let's get Connor Wegman uncomfortable. Get his ass on the ground. I need him hurting. Okay. This is, and Jamarcus talked about it today. How he made the quarterback live in practice, where it's, you know, oh, don't touch the quarterback, don't touch the quarterback. We gotta hit the quarterback, man. We gotta touch the quarterback a lot, actually. That's that'll make you a really good defense if you can do that pretty consistently. And my third key could be pretty bananas for most people, but it's snap it, catch it, kick it, make it special teams, baby. If we can get points on the board, we cannot leave off one point off the board. How long did it take for us to make a PAT? I believe it was like fourth quarter of the Texas Tech game until we actually made a PAT. It was ridiculous, man. That cannot happen this year. Smooth operating out of the special teams unit. Let's snap it, catch a kick it, make it, man. That's all I that's all I ask out of that group. I know it could be, it's it's it's harder than it looks for sure, but we need efficiency out of the special teams unit this season. And I think we're gonna get it. I have a lot of faith in this coaching staff. And like you said, Josh, the energy with this coaching staff is just so much different. The the way that they bring themselves, and too, today, Monday presser. In my entire life, it's typically just been the head coach that talks for you know 25-ish minutes every single Monday, right? Today we get Shepard, we get Dolin, we get McIntyre. They all get to talk about their upcoming opponent, and it's awesome, man. And Mitch Dallin, dude, that guy just he he screams future head coach of the Oregon State Beavers. He really just he does. Like he loves this place. He grew up around it. He clearly has a great offensive mind. He's worked around a lot of great people. I am really excited, just like you are, Josh, about how he's going to call his first FBS game as the offensive coordinator. And I just I need some questions answered about this team. I can't wait to get them out there on the field. Which now brings us to our Hannah Score prediction, brought to you by the Hannah Grace family, a nonprofit located in the Pacific Northwest in Oregon City, Oregon. Hannah Grace is a local organization that serves foster children and children facing instability through a free music program, visitations, support, and more. Visit Hannah Grace.org to learn more. The spread as of right now is 20 and a half. Okay, that's a lot of points. It's three touchdowns. I think it's personally a slap in the face to Oregon State football right now. And Vegas is telling everyone that hey, we're no good. You saw how they played last year, two and ten. They lost to Sam Houston at home. They lost to Tulsa on the road. Okay. Am I picking the Beavers and win this game? No. Do I expect them to go in there and compete and make it a close game? No. But I expect them to beat that. Spread for sure. So I have Houston 37, Beevs 21. Okay. I don't I could see it potentially being, you know, 30, 21, late, and maybe Houston gets a late score. I think the Beavs will find themselves in a ball game here late, later than we expected. But I think, like you said, the talent probably takes over at some point. The humidity could be a factor for these guys going into the fourth quarter. Uh, I I expect fight for 60 minutes. I I expect just relentless effort the entire time. And I cannot wait to see it. I don't care if they lose. I cannot wait to see this team play. Josh, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01Listen, I I have been torn about this the whole day. And the with all the computer issues, I've sat here and I've that's all I've thought about. And I'm so stuck right now. And it's not that I'm stuck with them winning or losing, I'm stuck on how it's gonna go. I I don't think they come out of here with a win. Okay, and I know there's a lot of people on social media that may or may not listen to this podcast. You guys are too negative that are going to be mad at us, but the reality of this is you have a whole new coaching staff, a whole bunch of roster turnover, okay? Houston's coming off a good season, okay. They they have the talent there to to make a run, like we talked about in the beginning of the program. Do I think it's going to be close? I I think this game's going to be competitive for a while. I think Houston pulls away at the end. But the the question throughout all this is can Shep and the staff keep them motivated the whole time because we saw way too much last year of when they got down, it was done. I we talked about it in the first episode when I was preaching it so hard. You can't give up for 60 minutes, you have to fight tooth and nail. Okay. If you don't do that this week, that spread for that Texas tech game may might as well be 50 points, right? Like a house ball state. I I it just you have to keep it competitive, and I I hope they do, and I hope it is um maybe it's a garbage time touchdown, that's the difference, or or whatever it is. But I I have the Beavs losing. I have Houston 34, Oregon State 17. And I uh the 17 isn't a knock on the offense. I think I think you're gonna see this offense be successful. I think when we put both teams on the scale right now, Houston just outweighs Oregon State too much, just as a ball club as a whole, right now, for the Beavs to go down there and do that. Do Rob and I hope we're Ron a hundred percent. But I think more than anything that this fan base will buy in if you go down and you can compete for 60 full minutes, 100% couldn't have said it better myself, dude.
SPEAKER_00And I think if the beavers can go in there and score four times, okay, whether that's three touchdowns in the field goal or whatever the case is, and to get to at least 24, 28 points, I think would be incredible for them going forward, and just confidence-wise, you know, building that going forward. And and how how are we gonna get off the plane, man? Because in the past, Oregon State football on the road, just traditionally not very good, right? Uh, when's the last time, Josh? Do you know the last time Oregon State went on the road for a non-conference power five opponent win? It was a while, but I'm sure you're gonna hit me with a nice number here. 2012 at BYU, and they were technically independent. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, it's it's been a long time, man. And last time we went on the road to beat a ranked team, 2012 against UCLA. So things kind of line up here, you know. It's it's it's a new era. It we need to start flushing those demons of we're going on a plane, boys. We have to wear white uniforms, okay. Let's start finding a way to play better in these environments, okay, in these uniforms, getting off of a plane. Yeah, you get to have your fancy juice and your cookie or whatever you get to go on the plane with, okay, but it's business, right? We're going to take care of business. And I would just love to see the Beavers like take a lead at some point in this game early on, maybe find a way tied or barely leading or barely trailing at halftime. That would be incredible. Okay. Make it a ball game, man. Don't let it get away from you early and just get after it, man. You you gotta get after this Houston team. They're uh they're trying to do something really special this season. Houston is they think they're good enough to win the Big 12. Okay. I think Texas Tech and Utah stand in their way for sure, but they think they're good enough to do this. Let's make them rethink that. Let's put some let's put some scare in them. Okay, let's make them fear what we can do as a team, right? And I think like what Shepard said, man, they got the guys take my uh take my word and I'm ready to go. So am I.
SPEAKER_01I have a question. I have a question for you, and I'm gonna put you on the spot because I don't know how to answer this question.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_01After the game on Saturday, even in the Sunday, when you look back and you say, or they did this one thing that gives me hope for the rest of the year, what is it?
SPEAKER_00Uh offensive line protected. I think that's gonna be the main thing. Defense might struggle in game one. Uh, and that's fine too. If you struggle against Connor Wegman and Amari Thomas, like, yeah, so be it. That's a pretty good tandem, right? Um, but if the offensive line can protect for four quarters, maybe only give up a sack. I think that'd be that'd be really, really encouraging.
SPEAKER_01Okay, flip side, what's the oh crap?
SPEAKER_00Oh, we did this and we're gonna get cooked the rest of the year. Uh, zero pressure on the quarterback. Like the the same old stuff that we've been seeing with uh the coach Tuwaki defensive lines, where they immediately are standing straight up at the line of scrimmage and just not making any moves with their hands and they're not trying to do that. They're just literally just if we see any of that, man. I'm like, oh god, you know, it's just more of the same with that defensive front. But we'll see, man. Uh, I know that Ty Hill is no longer with the team, so we're not gonna see him. I'm really I'm really excited to see Schuster out there and Matagi. I need I need Jarrell Comer to have a day, dude. I he needs to be the dark horse on this defense for sure on the edge side of things because we know what Takari Hickel can be, but he's gonna get, like I said last week, he's gonna get that Max Crosby treatment. Is he Max Crosby? No, but he's gonna get that treatment, okay? That's where I need comer, I need anybody else on the other side of that edge to get it going. Ishvin later, anybody, okay? Someone step up and be like, remember when Han Lashar Rashid just all of a sudden was like, oh, this guy's a stud. He's good, he was really good. And then for some reason, Tibissar didn't want to have him rush the passer against Wazoo in 2019.
SPEAKER_04That was whatever.
SPEAKER_00But God, dude, that was unbelievable. That game still obviously still gets to me. Um, but I need I need the edges to just hair on fire, baby. I need you to bring that edge to the game every single weekend. So again, man, I'm excited. I can't wait to watch this team play. I just need to see the boys out there, man. I want this Jamarcus Shepherd era to officially get underway with the game. Um I I'm I'm itching, man. I've just been fiending for some Morgan's Day football for sure. So it's been uh it's been fun too on the NFL side of things, man. Skylar Thomas, he makes the Bears 53-man roster. Hey, we knew all along. We knew all along. Okay, undrafted free agent. Yeah, whatever, dude. He makes the squad. Like, what did I say last week? Special teams, boys. Why did he make the team? Because he plays special teams, and he was the only bright spot on special teams last year for sure. And Josh, what do you have? I don't know. Uh Kevin Griffin has been off to an electric start as the athletic director. Kind of makes you think about what would have been if Mr. Barnes wasn't here during all the realignment if we had a guy like Kevin Griffin at the helm. But you can't play that game anymore, I guess. We could. Do I really want to? You know, it's just gonna make me mad. Updates to Gill Coliseum, maybe potentially a new facility coming on the horizon. I know a lot of Beaver fans were kind of joking, like, you can put it here, you can put it here. Like, but I think if we lost Gill Coliseum, I think a lot of people would be you know very sentimental about it. It's a nostalgic place for sure. It's been standing forever, but you know, I think it definitely needs some upgrades. But I've heard Kevin kind of talk about like, yeah, it's a pretty old building, so it's a really tricky renovation project type deal. So I'm curious, man. What do you want to see? Do you want to see a new one or you want to see it just kind of put some makeup on that pig?
SPEAKER_01Uh I'm stuck. I'm I'm again, I'm torn between like both it's just so cool. Like it when you think of Oregon State and just the history of it, it's it's Gil Coliseum, right? That's just what it is. Yeah, in Corvallis. Does it need to be updated? Yeah, for sure. I mean, that thing's standing on stilts, yeah. I mean, nothing Noah's art came through that thing, but I I'm okay either way, to be honest, and I know there's probably gonna be a lot of people not happy with the thought of completely taking that thing down, right? But how cool is it that you have somebody at the helm in the athletic department even thinking about this, even talking about it publicly? Because I tell you right now, Scott Barnes would have said got asked that question, he'd be like, Well, no, we're not gonna do that. We we got to save money in this new era of college football.
SPEAKER_03We're gonna blow up the other side of Reaser Stadium, and I'm gonna push the button.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So just just having these vocal leaders come in and be vocal, like Shep and him have not changed since day one when they got introduced, they just haven't, they have been so vocal, they're so open and honest. Like, it is just the craziest thing. Like, I don't know if there is a more honest group in college football right now, and I don't know if they're just trying to get us to buy in, but holy smokes, I am hook line and sinker every weekend. They're pretty good salesmen for sure.
SPEAKER_00You can't deny that at all. So I would upgrade my package any day with those guys. Yeah, true. Uh I I think it'd be really exciting to get a new basketball facility, especially with with what Coach Joyner is potentially building here. I think he would be thrilled they get a new facility. And you know, anything to to retain coaches as well going forward would be really, really important. So we'll see, man. I um I'm just it's it's really nice to be in this situation right now. Okay, yeah, it's like, yeah, Kevin Griffin has been trying to preach to us like, guys, it's time to move on from the morning of the old Pac-12. Like, and he's right. A lot of us still do it way too often. Like, oh, you know, Utah State's our senior day game. Like, yeah, that's a that's a good matchup, man. Bronco Mendahol is a former Beav coming back to Corvallis to coach against his former alma mater. Okay, like that's a cool matchup. I think there's you can get those storylines anywhere. Okay, Texas State coming into Corvallis. I think a lot of people don't know about Texas State, but as someone who has been down to San Marcus, I'll be down there on Friday, man. Like, they're playing Texas on Saturday. That game is a big deal to them. Obviously, they're not gonna sniff them, right? They're gonna get murdered. But though those matchups are a big deal to Texas State, right? They they feel like they're so overlooked in this state. But recently they've been building a nice football program. They kind of ran into a speed bump last year for sure with their defense, but Brad Jackson's a studded quarterback, man. They're gonna be a problem for the rest of this conference. And some people are picking them to win it, which is unbelievable. And then, you know, Fresno State, Oregon State's had so much history with Fresno State. They've played them a lot over the years, and they've had a lot of great games. So this isn't the run-of-the-crapper mill kind of conference, man. Like some people be like, it's just Mountain West 2.0. It's like, well, it's it's more than that for sure. I think this is, and we've already seen so many schools. All the new schools in the Pac-12 are getting donor foundation and and money that they haven't seen before ever. That Pac-12 logo, don't tell me it doesn't mean anything. It still does mean something. Remember when App State last year rushed the field against us and we hadn't won a game all season? Don't tell me that Pac-12 logo doesn't mean anything. Okay, it does. It still does, okay? So hope you guys can get pumped up for this season, man. Okay. I I I if you're not, man, go get your heart checked, man. Go to the doctor, get something checked out because if you've been listening to Shepard and you're not getting fired up, dude, something's wrong with you for sure. So can't wait, man. Literally, I am just I'm itching at it, man. It's like I'm a crackhead, dude. I need some beaver football in my life again. And I'm I just cannot wait to put put away two and ten for the rest of my life. Never want to experience that ever again. And I don't think we will as long as Jamarcus Shepherd, Mitch Down are around, dude. I think we have we're in very good hands going forward. So if uh if Beavis SoCal is listening, that is my positive side of things, okay, buddy. And my my bullshit podcast that he calls it, okay?
SPEAKER_05So it's fired.
SPEAKER_00I appreciate the opinion, though. I really do. Like, thanks for listening. I appreciate you guys. And if you guys are loyal listeners and you haven't subscribed yet to the YouTube page, please do so. We're getting a lot of views on YouTube, which is awesome. It's so cool to do that. But we need you to subscribe to the page, turn on that little uh notification button so every time you see a video pop up, you can hop on, especially when we start going live. If we can ever figure out these connection things, so yeah, Josh Buddy, we have a handful of more days. Any last words?
SPEAKER_01Listen, we are 57 minutes into this, and this is absolute cold. I hope like this is this is great. If this is any kind of uh sign or anything that's gonna happen on a Saturday, this is what we talked about adversity. How do you handle it? Okay, we've handled it with grace. Rob has. I appreciate Rob everything that he does for this podcast. Like, yeah, I can sit here and tell you how thankful I am of this guy. You he put so much time and effort. Like, if you're watching on YouTube right now, the graphic, like his fiance, Brittany, like they're a killer duo. Like, this is like dream team material, right here. Shout out to them. Thank you guys.
SPEAKER_00Like, she spent so much time just figuring out where can I how much space do I need to put in between these logos?
SPEAKER_01There's a lot of time and effort that Rob and I put into this. I'm not trying to toot our own horn right now because it's not what I wanted it, but we do it for free, right? And there we have great sponsors now that I don't think you would have told us this a couple years ago. This is where we'd be sitting. Like, there's just no way. So it's so cool to see how far this thing has come. We're still learning, I'm still learning. I still bumble over my words all the time. So, like, I but I'm so excited. Like, I just I'm so excited that we're here that this the ship era is about to start, and it's time to go. How do how do the boys act when they hit that field Saturday? And I hope we see a uh a ship that's on the field just hyping the boys up, right? That I I I love seeing that out of head coaches. You see Dan Lanning, that team down south, do it all the time, right? As he's popping zins into his cheek. Yeah, he's he's gonna Penn State do something else, too. Let's go. This is what we wanted. This is what we've waited months for now. It's time, it's time to go. So I I'm I'm literally like I got goosebumps thinking about it right now. It's so stupid to think about it that way. But here we go, Rob. Like, this is what we wanted, and here we are. And I I I think we see a competitive game on Saturday, and I hope we have a lot to to build on and talk about Sunday or Monday, whenever record this next week, uh, going into tech, and our guest next week, a friend of the pod, Brian Jensen, will be joining us, which is it's cool. It's cool to have these guys come back on that again don't need to take a lick of their time to come on and talk to us, two dweebs at Oregon State, but they do it and just some of the greatest people out there, too. So I I'm looking forward to it, man. You got anything, any last words for us? No, man.

So go get you one. Go get you that trip down to the Texas Tech game for damn trips, man. If you're in the Portland metro area, or if you're flying in from someone else and you're flying into Portland, go get you a a bus down to Corvallis for you. And then always, man, hit up HQPT, man. If improve your golf game, I'm always trying to do that. I haven't golfed in a while. It's it's way too hot in August to do it in Texas, but I'm looking to hit them up, man. I gotta get better at golf. I've I've shot a 92 once, and I will never break 90, it feels like. So hit up our friends, because you're our friends, and we appreciate our friends so much. Go, Beaves. We will see you.
