The Greedy Mofos Podcast

Welcome to The Greedy Mofos Podcast - Introduction

OneOne21 Productions Season 1 Episode 1

Greed isn’t just a motive—it’s a method. We launch a true crime series that pulls back the curtain on scams, white-collar schemes, and cases that spiral into deadly territory, all through the lens of how greed manipulates trust and decision-making. With two hosts bringing sharp, contrasting viewpoints—one empathetic to victims, the other relentlessly skeptical—we turn heated debates into practical insights you can use to spot red flags before they cost you.
Expect a mix of headline cases and under-the-radar stories that reveal the same playbook in different outfits, from slick investment pitches to messy relationship cons.

Our format is simple and punchy: each week one of us brings a case, the other pushes back, and together we separate the sensational from the instructive. If you’ve ever yelled at a documentary for missing obvious red flags, you’ll feel seen here.

Hit follow, share with a friend who loves true crime with teeth, and leave a quick review to tell us which side you’re on: empathy or tough love?

SPEAKER_02:

Greeting motherfuckers. Cut your coins while the world burns slow. Greeting motherfuckers. Still soul for a sentence show. Greedy mouthfuls. Every promise that you make, we know oh. Greedy mofals.

SPEAKER_00:

Hi everyone. I'm Pippa. And I'm Aston. And we are bringing to you a podcast about greedy mofos. We all know they are everywhere.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, we do. Greedy mofos. Greedy mother, you know what. Yep. Our podcast is going to take a different style when it comes to other true crime podcasts. Because Tip and I we always talk about these documentaries that we see and all the crime programs that we like, that American Greed, and all those other true crime podcasts that she listens to. And we always have our own opinions, right, Tippa? Exactly.

SPEAKER_00:

We sure do. And boy, do we have some opinions.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, we do. We call people idiots, stupid for doing that, stupid for falling for people and falling for their scams. And we realize there are a lot of greedy mofos out there that are willing to commit murder. And what else, Peppa?

SPEAKER_00:

Oh my gosh. Murder, theft, burglary, robbery, forgery. They, I mean, people will go to any length to take someone else's money. Um, and again, we do call people idiots, but we also have empathy for the victim. So it's not, we don't think everybody's an idiot, especially me. I'm I'm a little more empathetic.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, you are. I have no empathy for these people. None whatsoever. If they fall victim to the scam, I can find a lot of reasons that they should have not fallen victim. It's like it's staring you right in the face. This guy is not trustworthy, but yet you did it anyway. So you're the filtered part of our podcast. I'm the unfiltered part of it.

SPEAKER_00:

Yes, and you um, our listeners, which we hope there are a lot of you out there, you're gonna hear, you know, two different viewpoints. Sometimes uh sometimes we will agree, sometimes we won't agree, but you're gonna hear perspectives from two very different personalities.

SPEAKER_01:

Correct. Yes, I'm we're totally different personalities. That we are. Yep, yep, yep. So um basically the only thing you need to know is that the both of us like to watch a lot of TV and movies. We're in the film and television industry as well, and I wouldn't say I'm a true crime fan, but I do like to watch certain true crime programs because there's so many out there, and there's a lot that I just won't waste my time watching, you know? Because to me, there's a lot of reenactments, and I'm more I'm a true crime fan.

SPEAKER_00:

I'm a junkie, I'm a junkie.

SPEAKER_01:

Yes, and I have a lot of friends that are junkies, and they'll ask me, Have you seen this one? And I'm like, no. And then I'll be like, Oh, have you seen this one? And then they'll watch it because I recommended it.

SPEAKER_00:

So, yeah, so what you can expect on this is each week we are going to alternate picking a story and presenting that to each other and to you, our listeners. And um, as the podcast grows, we are hoping that people will email us and give us ideas or their opinions or suggestions, or just an email to say hello, you know. So we want this to be entertaining, but also, you know, bring to light what is going on in the world. And you're gonna hear mainstream cases, you're gonna hear not so mainstream cases, some are gonna be silly, some are gonna be gruesome, um, some are just gonna be, you know, white collar crime. So, you know, we we we hope to just run the gamut of um, you know, what's going on in our world.

SPEAKER_01:

Yep, that's true. And um so so what we can do, because our viewpoint may be like the way you think of uh some of these true crime podcasts that you listen to, or TV shows and documentaries that you watch, and you want a platform to voice it on. Like I'm sure some of you have some of the same opinions that I have. So, what we're just gonna do is just be ourselves, talk about the greedy mofo of the week, and our viewpoints on it, and hopefully entertain you guys at the same time as where you may learn something new or think about something differently.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, yeah. So next week we hope you'll tune in, and um, Aston is gonna bring you a story from the great metropolis of Monaco.

SPEAKER_01:

So we hope you'll be a big hint because that's a big, big hint. That's a huge that's a that's a huge hint, but a lot of people may not know about it. So that's true, that's true. So here's Aston signing off. Looking forward to you greedy mofos. We'll share more information on if you want to contact us with our social media and email, we'll provide that in the next episode. We just wanted to introduce ourselves and hopefully get you guys interested in following us each week and listen to our take on these greedy mofos.

SPEAKER_00:

And um hippo signing off, and just um don't be a greedy mofo.

SPEAKER_01:

Yeah, don't be a greedy mofo. But if you're gonna be a greedy mofo, be smart about it.

SPEAKER_00:

Or or entertaining so we can talk about it. That's right, that's right.

SPEAKER_01:

So here has them signing off for now.

SPEAKER_00:

Okay and signing off. Have a good night.

SPEAKER_02:

That's the only code.
