Alan Ruby was a student at University of Oklahoma, Boomer Sooner, and he was so greedy. He used his grandmother's credit card, his parents' credit card. He he defrauded his grandmother out of over $5,000 to take a trip to Paris. He would buy Rolex, Louis Vuitton, Gucci. I mean, he's a 19-year-old college student. His parents owned a like a newspaper company. And that's a that's a dying industry right now, especially in a small town, but they kept it going. They, you know, they had their their newspaper company, and

And he did not like that. He went to his home. He he was at the dorm and um came home, murdered all three of his family members, shot them. Um, so first just because they cut him off, he was so focused on designer designer, that's all he cared about, was appearing

Pretty much. So he had been sent charged and sentenced prior to the murders for credit card fraud for using his grandmother's credit card.

His mom uh uh who went by the name Tinker, her name was Joy, but she went by the nickname Tinker, Father John, uh, he was fifty, Joy was forty-eight, and his sister Catherine 17, still in high school. And bodies discovered in the kitchen before he did admit that he did it eventually. Um, he gave a fake name when he was arrested initially, um, but the housekeeper walked in and saw the dead bodies. Um yep. She did not die on the first shot. He fired a second time while she was on the floor. I mean, this is just oh

It's sad that the greed makes you do something like that all because you want designer labels, but then common sense tells you once you kill them, you're going to jail, so you're not gonna have designer labels anymore. Yeah, I mean, my thoughts on go get a job and make some money and buy whatever you want. Is there a Ritz Carlton in Oklahoma?

but I didn't I didn't really dig into it. I remember thinking it was, you know, pretty atrocious, and it it is very atrocious. Um but he was sentenced. Uh well, he was arrested, gave a fake name, finally admitted to it. He, you know, the detectives they broke him down and he confessed. And he has been sentenced to three consecutive life terms. So I hope he doesn't get parole by any means. Um so he was pulled over uh the day of the murder by the Duncan police. Um and I guess let's see. It came back as valid. Um, and I guess they let him go the day of because uh let's see. Yeah, he was given a citation. So the cops had him. They had him, but he gave the name Dakota Moore. And the reports show that he had used that name different times. Uh I guess he'd been pulled over multiple times and used that same name. So um, yeah. Um citation speeding 11 to 14 miles over

the speed limit, no previous insurance carrying or carrying expired insurance and not possessing a driver's license. So um they had him, but he gave a fake name and got away. So he I guess got another twenty-four hours before before he was called.
