The Grounded Idealist
A podcast for leaders who want to change the world and take naps sometimes too.
James and Lori run the The Leaders Framework, a leadership coaching and consulting organization. James being an more of an idealist and Lori being more of a realist, decided to make a podcast that gets to the nitty gritty of the process whilst getting to the core of peoples authentic selves.
They connect with leaders from all different industries and walks of life. From CEO's, to creatives, entrepreneurs to stay at home parents and everything in between.
So if you are looking for a space to dream big, while staying grounded to the present, then welcome to the Grounded Idealist.

Amanda Cook: Settled & Sorted
Amanda Cook is one of our closet friends and one of our favorite humans! In this episode we talk through her vulnerable journey of pain, resilience, and emotional healing. Amanda opens up about leaning into her authentic self amidst the chaos and shares invaluable wisdom on emerging through life's tumultuous trials. This episode is not just a leadership conversation; it's a heartfelt melody of resilience, hope, and triumphant rebirth.
A little about our friend. Amanda is a writer/musician/lover of books who’s been busy busy busy working on a few projects. She has won things (Grammy, Juno, Dove), lost things (Juno, Dove, her mind), tried things (cooking, horseback riding, being on time), failed things (being on time, horseback riding, keeping a fern alive), and succeeded at a few things (starting over, evolving, getting in a good bedtime routine). Music is her go to mode of transportation and connection.
She has released several albums that explore the intersections of faith/doubt, love/loss, hope/despair, and fun/notfun. She makes music under a few monikers (Amanda Cook, Falcon, Ile Des Chenes) because it’s an amusing thing to do.
Her hope is in Jesus and matcha lattes in the morning. She enjoys writing songs that feel helpful, healing, and read like a poem with or without sound. Her latest offering, “Survey: Part 1”, was released earlier this spring.
Amanda resides in Los Angeles with her little, struggling, surviving family of house plants. (The fern sadly didn’t make it, RIP).
