What's Happening at Work
For years, What’s Happening at Work podcast has been a space where I, Joyce Odidison, President of Interpersonal Wellness Services Inc. and founder of the Global Workplace Wellness Summit, shared practical strategies and insights to help you navigate challenges in the workplace.
Drawing on my 27+ years of experience as a Conflict Analyst, I offered tools to shift toxic interpersonal dynamics, reduce stress, and foster resilience and well-being. Together, we explored the realities of workplace conflict, dis-ease, and transformation.
As I close this chapter, I want to thank you for tuning in and being part of this journey. While What’s Happening at Work is coming to an end, the conversations don’t stop here. I’m excited to continue this work in new ways through my latest projects, where the focus on resilience and well-being will be deeper and more impactful than ever.
Join me for my new podcast: The Resilience Catalyst show where I am focusing on the issues that I see so often, low resilience and a lack of understanding about how to build resilience in the 9 dimensions of life
Thank you for listening, learning, and growing with me. I hope you join me over here: https://resiliencecatalyst.buzzsprout.com/

Episode#110 - Overcomming Communication Barriers
Do you experience communication barriers at work, or other areas of your life?
The ability to communicate and be taken seriously or treated with respect is important to all of us.
There is nothing more frustrating than being ignored in meetings...
To have your ideas be credited to someone else...
To not be taken seriously or be ignored...
So what are those barriers to communication and how do we overcome them? Is your fault if you are not being taken seriously? What can you do?
The essence of being understood and respected for one's contributions is fundamental to our social and professional identities.
Yet, the reality for many is a maze of communication barriers—some visible, others insidious that undermine this basic need.
Join the conversation and let your voice be heard.
