DON’T STOP TALKIN’ ABOUT IT!

My daughter is amazing. She's so amazing. I love her so much. She keeps me laughing. But hello. Ola, Kanichiwa, Chabela, Sawatika. What's up? I just wanted to do a quick little reminder that God is always good. Even when it doesn't feel like it, even when it doesn't seem like it, even when your life doesn't look like what you think it should look like. God is always good. And every little moment that I'm getting and I'm recognizing just things in my daughter, I'm grateful. Because that's a moment that I didn't have, and it's a moment I would not have had if I didn't have her. So I'm grateful. Is it hard? Absolutely. But do I love being her mother? Yes, I do. And I'm grateful and I'm honored that the Lord chose me. And I'm grateful that she's happy. And in fact, that's one of her favorite words. Happy. Happy. Even when she's crying, I can tell she's trying to regulate herself at five years old. And she'll run in the bathroom and look in the mirror and say, happy, happy, as she's wiping tears. Happy, happy. And before you know it, she's actually happy because she has spoken that to herself so many times that I literally see her get happy. It's it's remarkable. But something had me laughing. She was just walking down the hallway a few seconds ago. And for those who don't know, my daughter is level two artistic with some global developmental delays, but she's amazing. And she was going down the hallway and she said, Do a cow. No, that's a sheep. Moo. That's a cow. I've never even heard her use so many words at one time. I was just like, I was shocked and I was laughing because it was so funny. Then she came back the other way.

Do a sheep. Moo. That's a cow. Bah. That's a sheep.

So she just did the reverse of what she did the first time. I've never even heard her use that many words at one time. Just usually it's one or two words, or if she hears someone say like a three-word sentence, like me when I say I love you, she'll say, I yeah, you. But just on her own, ordinarily, she'll just say one word or two words. And so when I heard her um walking down the hallway, do a cow. That's a sheep. Move. That's a cow. Just I don't know. That's just it has made my day. I'm gonna think about that all day. If it's the only thing I can think of, it's all day. Because it was a wonderful moment. Because to me, she hit a milestone. She used multiple words. And she's funny, and she knows our animals. Hello. So I thank God, you know, for the big and the small, the in-between, whatever he blesses me with. I thank him for it. And I'm grateful. And I just want today and every day to have an attitude of gratitude. It's not always easy, and I won't always act like I'm totally grateful all the time because I'm lying. It's just not true. There are times where I have caught myself complaining, and I had to reel it in, like, hold it. It could be a lot worse. It doesn't mean that I'm not experiencing or feeling what I'm feeling. It just means that I don't always have to complain. I could find the good things and be thankful. Like, what if I was thankful as much as I complained or as much as I have complained? Because I'm thank God by his grace, so much better. But if I were to reverse that and thank the Lord every time I felt like I wanted to complain about something, I would really, I really would be in an attitude of gratitude. And so I would just encourage you today to have an attitude of gratitude and remember all of the wonderful things that the Lord has done for you, and most importantly, remember all the things that He has promised you He will do in His word. So be blessed and have a great rest of your day, morning, evening, whatever it is for you, night. Um, and I'll be back soon, and I hope you join me. Thank you for stopping by my podcast, and don't forget to talk about it.
